Recently moved to the neighborhood and finally went to see how they did a Almond Milk Latte... And it was pretty good! Absolutely love the atmosphere here. I love that it’s dog friendly! And the staff was really kind.DO try the food, I had the sausage food over and kinda wish I could have that everyday now. Super delicious!

Great coffee shop. Good coffee beverages, large selection of baked goods. My favorite part is the extensive outdoor seating which wraps around the whole building. The place would get 5 stars if they had more vegan, gluten free baked goods - they only have the sunrise muffin, which is delicious, has a lovely texture, and isnt too sweet, but variety is also good! - and if non-dairy milk wasnt $1.00 extra.Pictured: sunrise muffin and an almond milk caramel latte on one of the tables on the south deck. Im not a food photographer but you get the idea.

Fantastic drip coffee anchored by local roasters, a huge selection of sweet and savory baked goods, and rustic interior seating make this a favorite lighter breakfast stop. Staff are absolutely friendly and patient with the busier morning crowds. Rustic indoor and outdoor seating reminds me of a cozy camping trip.

Unfortunately, their espresso machine was broken, so I cant judge them on that. However, their coffee was delicious, they gave me a free refill, and their seating is lovely. I sat out on the deck with my friend near what looks like a fire pit for the colder months, which seems delightful. I really enjoyed the staff, who are all very friendly and polite.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Portland! Great coffee, delicious pastries, both sweet stuff like apple fritter and muffins, and a good selection of savory foldovers. What I love the most, is the beautiful patio just outside the coffee shop with big, lovely wooden benches and tables, a perfect place for anyone who passes by to make a coffee stop. While indoor seatings are limited at the moment, there are a few at the back, well lit with a huge opening to fresh air and the space outside.Update (Feb 2021): I have visited here a few times during my 7-month stay in Portland and always had a good experience. The staff is always amicable with attentive service.

I love this place! The space inside is really cozy and functional. They have two private gender neutral restrooms and a lot of lovely outdoor seating. They have good and unique food and coffee, great vegan options, and it’s dog friendly. The staff is friendly and hardworking. There’s really nothing I’d change about this place.

Great coffee with season creations. Great baked goods. Friendly staff. I love the cinnamon buns. This place would get 5 stars if the parking situation wasn’t so bad. If I know it’s a busy coffee hour I just avoid this place. Not many spaces and the entrance can damage your car.

Awesome coffee shop in St. Johns. We stopped here for breakfast before crossing the bridge and hiking in Forrest Park. I dont think we would have been able to make it without the foldovers 🤤The food and drinks were great, and the space is really cool. Definitely stop by if youre in the area.

My favorite chocolate chip cookies in town! Everyone who works here is so welcoming, and the coffee and house-made pastries are incredible. The savory turnovers are delicious, and they always have some veggie and meat options. My advice for the winter menu: peppermint mocha. For the summer menu: Beach Brew.

Ive never been anything but delighted with the pastries and coffee. Their mocha was delicious and not too sweet which was perfect with the lime vegan doughnut (delicious, but I liked the nonvegan treat my stepmother got even better). The only warning Id give is the heavenly mushroom folded bread thing I got was spicy enough Id advise against it if youre sensitive.

Great space, friendly service, and great selection of food. The coffee is very good and the seasonal menu always sounds creative and I’ve always liked what I’ve tried. The baked goods are ok but I recently had a baked fritter that was basically a dense bread and a fold over with so much pepper it was mostly inedible. It’s definitely worth a visit for the drinks and shops.Parking can be tricky, but there’s always one spot when I get there. Also has bike parking, WiFi, and lots of seating

I stopped by here. I ordered an Americano.worse darn coffee i ever had. It was light roast drip. Not espresso (& espresso roast). And the kid solicits tips from every customer but does not make good coffee.Dark roast is smokey and flavourful. This foul brew was bitter Bitter !... It was clear i wanted Americano and he repeated my order to me. But wrong coffee was used.Americano coffee = shot of espresso & hot water.... Places like this make appreciate starbucks (which i loathe). To top it all off ordered a medium got a small..... When you offer espresso and americano you better use espresso roast !So glad I left the self entitled half ash product Pacific NW

Tasty espresso drinks and baked goods sweet or savory. The airy interior, limits on number of customers, consistent mask wearing and recommended one-way travel through the shop with distance markers every six feet make me feel like Im not taking a risk when going there. Disappointing. Coffee and service have fallen by the wayside. Used to come here frequently. Took at 6 month break - came back today, and the service has gone downhill. Server came by with my latte, and spilled a good part of it in the saucer. He said Oh well, and left. Not even an apology, a proposal to make me a new cup, nothing. He was 56, glasses, shorter hair, and a beard that should have been in a hair net.Needless to say, thats a reason to not come back. Too many better coffee shops in St. Johns.

Me and my husband visited this place during our weekend gateway to Portland. We went to grab a quick coffee as this place was right next to where we were staying. As soon as we entered, I was sold by the nice cozy ambiance and very friendly staff and we decided to grab our breakfast there and spend some time glancing thru the nice collection of books available on the shelf. My husband got baked sausage sandwich (something like that, dont remember the name correctly) and chai latte (he told both were awesome). I was not feeling much hungry as I had some protein bar before so got cappuccino (awesome) and they customized the menu as I wanted two eggs sunny side up. It was really nice time, I would definitely go back when/if I visit Portland again and recommend this place to everyone.

Cathedral creates a design mode dedicated to local craftsmanship, from every nail in the architecture to the last drop of brew. Neighbors and fans delight in communal atmosphere, friendly staff and quality throughout. There is always a dog water bowl out front, and bonus is its adjacency to hiking access trail leading directly to the undeveloped shoreline of the Willamette River.
