Delicious food with a very cozy and unique atmosphere. We are passing through Portland and tried this cute spot for breakfast. We were not disappointed. Vegan burrito and southwest scramble were excellent as well as the strawberry smoothie. There’s lot of cute artwork on the walls to see as well. Come check this place out.

We had breakfast here on a trip to Portland. It is way more than just a coffee house. The food was excellent. We both had omelettes, and there was plenty of food and fresh ingredients. Coffee was excellent, using a very high end brand. It’s a small place, but they have seating inside and outside. Would definitely go here again!

Ours said they were supposed to close at 7:00 and we got there at 6:40 and they were already closed. was not happy about that at allreplying to owner: it is really important to update sites with the correct hours so that people do not drive to your location only to see an employee inside who looked like they closed early.

EDIT: after response from the establishment. Hey, thank you for the correction. Its really decent of you! Ive corrected to a 5-star review. The delivery apps make this confusing and literally showed the St Johns location (this was GrubHub) as recently as when I wrote the review and their menu. My bad. I will be coming to try the vegan menu ASAP. Until then, rock on friend. Sorry for the confusion.

The Indonesian scramble is great. Everything else needs a lot of work. The french toast waffle is good in theory but the execution is not there. Tough and not that interesting. The hash browns we had ordered as crispy yet they were burned on the outside and soft and mushy on the outside. The iced mocha was only drinkable because of the chocolate. The coffee itself is not good. And they forgot our croissant we ordered.

Funky little coffee shop with a few good options for breakfast. Lots of nooks to get some privacy. Had an egg scramble with bacon that was really good (bacon was excellent). Great staff, really friendly and seemed genuinely happy to serve you. Cappuccino was done very well, milk was perfect. Only negative was I didn’t care for the espresso too much, bit of a burnt after taste. All in all great shop.

We were in the St. Johns area and wanted to get a good cup of joe. Right after getting off the majestic St. John’s bridge we decided to gamble by stopping by the first new-to-us establishment that sold coffee—Anna Bannanas was on the radar! We are SO happy we did because the lattes we got were DELICIOUS! We ended up getting a second round immediately after mercilessly chugging the first batch of this elixir! We will certainly be back to try more of their coffee and food selection.

A review for my fellow couriers out there. Avoid this place. The first and last time I went there, I got the order I was assigned 30 minutes after the pick up time. It was just some simple breakfast items and a few coffees. In the meantime I was treated to some bizarre conversation from the staff complaining about a group from Seattle that wants to ban the term black coffee because they think its racist. Seriously? Lets maybe not believe everything you read from trolls. Instant decline every time I see an order for this place...

I used to live in Portland. I was driving my friends through from Seattle when we reached Portland around 7am. This place was the best example of what the city is about in the shortest amount of time. An hour of relaxing and enjoying breakfast while the owner was giving us some history on his eggs, a caravan that followed a casket to the northwest in the early 1800s, and the complexity of moonshine. We felt welcomed, we felt listened to, and we enjoyed our food. This place feels like youre eating with your parents friends house and you just happened to be in the neighborhood.

We ordered one of the most basic food items you could ask for; 3 bagels with egg. There wasn’t anybody else clearly ahead of us, in fact it seemed a little dead. They seemed quite disorganized after we ordered, not seeming to get the simple order. We proceeded to wait 30-40 MINUTES for our food. When we finally got it, the bagels weren’t toasted, the egg wasn’t salted, and it just seemed like the kind of sandwich you should be able to make in 2 minutes. Won’t be going back

I will always love Anna Bananas. Im a former University of Portland student and while I was there the Annas in St. Johns was a super hip place to be. A great place to grab coffee for those anti-Starbucks Portlanders. Everyone will tell you about the great coffee but Ive tried some of their other gems. Iced raspberry mate tea? Mate isnt for everyone, but I thought it was delicious. They have some awesome tea (iced & hot) options for those who might need a coffee break. Also recently discovered they make a mean smoothie! They pull fresh berries out and use some sort of yummy organic fruit juice and make you a legitimate healthy fruit smoothie. Another awesome option for those of age which you might need to custom order is the oatmeal stout with a shot of espresso. When coffee and beer come together Oregon natives rejoice! A coffee shop that serves beer and wine is just a good idea. Cant say Ive tried the food yet, but beverage-wise this is your one stop shop!

Can’t give it any lower simply because the food was great. The service was SUPER slow, having 2 people run a shop that had a common area, basement and porch should not be the case on a Sunday morning. Fed up with waiting—-my boyfriend tried to cancel our order, we really had been waiting for 40ish minutes before we even got our food. Had we known it was going to well over an hour to eat, we would’ve gotten coffee before hand. As mentioned though, once we got the food, I was happy the food was great. We were getting concerned that it’d be subpar.

When we said we had to leave, the waitress just had excuses and couldn’t own up to it. Not professional at all and blamed us for wanting to just come bring you business and dine in?
