The staff helping us made some completely uncalled for comments about the word trans as if it was a bad word or not to be spoken. This employee had no information on us personally but felt it was appropriate to share their opinions on the matter while were there to discuss cell phones, which we were then not helped with and told to call a number to take care of our request.
Said it would be an hour for a walk-in appointment, waited for 3 hours (doing other stuff) then gave up. Wouldve rather had him be honest and tell me I have to make an appointment online for another day.
SO annoyed. paid in advance for same day in store pick-up, to be left waiting all day for a message saying I could pick up my new phone. when I went to the location, at FIVE PM, and they were completely closed. drove across town to the other location just to be dismissed and sent on my way to sit on hold with customer service for over an hour. still haven’t spoken to anyone. would only recommend this store to someone I despise. good day.
Verizon not allowing you to actually call the store you need to get in contact with is horrible. I’m highly considering cancelling my phone line with them solely because of that. Granted the customer service reps I talk to are so kind and sweet, but they’re not the people I need to talk to. So I’m gonna cancel.
I have a phone that needs to be shipped back. The new device came without a label. I called customer service x 2 and was told a new label was otw. Here we are 3 weeks later. Still no label. I came to this store with hopes of getting help. This employee would barely even let me in the door @10:00 am. Barely spoke English and was not willing to even look into my issue. If I could have given 0 stars I would have.
I lost my phone on a Friday afternoon while I was paddle boarding, therefore I was very anxious to get a replacement phone and I was the first customer of the day. I was trying to deal with Assurion as this was a insurance claim All the employees in the store were patient with me while I work through that insurance process. I was on the phone with for about an hour.Everyone at the store was great! The customer support I received the night before was not so great and dealing with a Assurion is a pain so hopefully this works out for the best and we all learn from it and how the process works. I’m not much of a fan or Assurion after this experience but that’s a whole other story and does not reflect how amazing the staff at Verizon wireless are!Olivia was VERY patient, professional and thorough.She helped me with selecting the most amazing phone after listening to what was important to me. She also helped me select some super cool accessories.I appreciate all the time she took with me and her wonderful demeanor. I will be sure to ask for Olivia the next time I’m in the market for anything that Verizon wireless sells.I feel badly for the employees at the local stores when they have to deal with the corporate nonsense between Verizon Wireless and Assurion. Regardless, everyone at the store is fabulous!I have been a Verizon wireless customer from the beginning of time - well from my very first cell phone and I’m still a very satisfied customer, even more so after my experience with the store in downtown Portland!

The salesperson mixed up our phones when we went in to upgrade them. When we went home to activate the new phones, my sons phone was trying to activate my phone number. This led to an hour+ on the phone with Verizon trying to get it sorted. There were no other customers in the store, so its not like he was under pressure to wrap it up with us. Just sloppy, and frustrating.
Hooked it up with great customer service and then I got home and realized I got the wrong case. Came back and they exchanged it for the right one happily. Made my night because my girlfriends night was made.
Aaron Hodges is my hero, my advocate, and my savior. After several frustrating days trying to navigate Verizons call center and online interface, Aaron came to my rescue. He spent two hours sorting out a problem that he did not make, and he did it with a smile. I was frustrated when I came in, and after he greeted me at the door, I knew I was in good hands--my frustrations melted away. I switched from T Mobile and he had me in and out of the store in 30mins with my new phone. This was hands-down the best customer service experience I have ever had in the cellular service industry- this guy had all the plans memorized and could answer my questions with ease!
I would not suggest this Verizon store. I came in today to purchase a new phone, and had an appointment. I am not tech savvy, and they would not help me set up my new device. They said it would be simple and the phone would walk me thorough the process. I tried to get a hold of the store and they did not answer because all associated were busy. When I arrived, there were 4 employees and a security guard just standing around. That is just an automated message playing. The store itself is not providing support, so I have now been on the phone with customer service for an hour trying to activate my new device. They also did not give me my corporate discount, so I have to go back to the store. Trust me, not a good verizon to go to!

This Verizon store resolved my request within 10 minutes from walking into the store to walking out . All options based on my requirements were discussed with me and the overall experience was pleasant and uplifting. Candice helped me get setup with an add on line that was flexible to use. All my concerns were already accounted for by Verizon and I am amazed at the customer experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get their work done real quick in the least amount of time with the most efficient outcome. Verizon truly are the best at what they do and they definitely made me feel like they got my back no matter what concern I bring up to them. They are always prepared and have an answer for me :)

Excellent service and friendly staff.I brought in a 3 week brand-new phone that started developing a screen coloring issue and after talking through various options, they were able to exchange the phone right there and then. I walked out 30 min later with a brand new replacement phone and that was that! This was one of the best customer service experience I have received in a long time.I highly recommend this location, just make sure to book an appointment online to avoid having to wait.

I was helped by two people in the course of 20 minutes. the person who actually ended up helping me had to ask me what Id come in for twice, whereas the person whod greeted me initially typed up my notes in their pad-waitlist system.IMO, if youre going to put notes next to a customers name in a wait list itd be helpful to make it universally accessible for any employee to come in with equal footing.customer service was average and not mind blowing, but the wait time definitely kept me from leaving better reviews.

Was told that I should use their tablets to Google the phones specs myself while shopping for a new phone... definitely dont waste your time... conveniently Google proves that the phones are cheaper almost everywhere else. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

I have no idea what the deal is with these other reviews -- I had a wonderful experience there today! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I needed to get an upgrade for my recently broken phone, popped by the store to see what offers were available, and I was in and out in no time.
I was bracing for a huge hassle when I went in to replace my broken iPhone 7 on Friday evening, but Candice could not have been more helpful! In less than an hour, she updated my plan, saving me $15/month and adding another GB of data. She also recommended the best new phone deal (1/2 off the XR) and sold me wireless charger, phone case, and screen protector in a bundle. She even meticulously applied the screen protector for me. I was a completely willing customer, but Candice also made the whole process completely fun and pain-free with her knowledgeability and transparency and the way she so obviously prioritized my costs and interests. Im still adjusting to this enormous phone, but Im sure Ill get the hang of it soon ;-)
Was having issues getting into my account to add international calling and ended up going into the store. Phil is the man!! He spent 30 mins helping me navigate the Verizon customer service tree and then got me into a better plan thats saving me a nice chunk of change. Terrible service. My wife went there and they gave a crazy hard sell on a warranty she did not want. Then we just went home and took it off the account. While their terrible sales person was giving us a service we didn’t want, he didn’t even bother to activate the new phone. We went back later and found a different associate who activated the phone for us.I normally give good reviews this place is an anomaly and we had a very bad experience and I want to ensure that it is reflected in their score.Also I am not complaining about Verizon costs or services (although I am not happy about that either) this is specific to the way this particular store treated us, which is very badly.Don’t go here.

During my lunch hour, I stopped in to pick up the new lg g2. I was told it would be 25-30 minutes. This was longer than I had to begin with but o well I was committed. Here I am 45 minutes later my name has not even moved up the list. The manager is still telling people about a half hour wait even though its a bold faced lie. I have had plenty of time to sit and observe the service. The manager has been short rude and inaccurate consistently. I came in to spend $200, you would think they would want my money. Not sure why they are so short staffed and why they are not at least apologetic. Its sad I have the time to write this review and I am nowhere near being helped. I never write reviews, for anything. I felt an obligation to express the poor service of this store. I have watched three different people storm out for various reasons. I cannot believe this store, especially the manager Paula. Paula has no place in the service industry, especially not managing a store. With all the screening and long employment process, youd think Verizon could avoid these types.

Ive been a Verizon customer for eight years. Went in the other day to get a new phone. They told me I was eligible for a payment plan on a note 9 which is awesome. I spent the next half hour with the sales associate trying to sell me accessories I didnt want or need, telling me how the phone isnt waterproof, and refusing to let me see the color on the phone I wanted because they were in the back and he didnt want to get them. Then after all that, was told that if I wanted my phone Id have to pay the full price out of pocket. Lucky for me theres a Sprint right across the street from yall. Love my new note 9 and oh, btw, its waterproof.
Not only are they overpriced, but the store and customer service are completely separated from helping with their fraud department. My husband and I both were denied service, even after proving our identity, and the fraud department is dismissive and extremely rude! I will never do service with Verizon.

So after about a year of ownership my beloved LG G4 caught the dreaded boot loop defect and wouldnt start up. Unsure about whether or not to take it into a Verizon store or deal with LG directly I took it into this location and was greeted by Spencer who was very friendly. He helped me get a new phone overnighted to my house at no charge, all I had to pay for was shipping. I cant thank him enough. I highly recommend this store!!

Verizon is overpriced on cell phone accessories. Paid $25 for a screen protector for my four month old Galaxy S10+, hoping they could install it better than I could at home. Wrong!The clerk assured me the lines in the center of the protector would go away as I used the phone and heated up the adhesive. A few days later, not only do I still have the lines, but its also bubbling up around the edges. Now I have to take time out to return it. I should know better than to shop at the Verizon store. I could have gotten the same thing on Amazon for half the price.In my experience, the Verizon Store is overpriced and salespeople dont have enough technical expertise to be helpful. My advice is to order your phones and accessories online and bypass the store altogether.
Great service. I had a screen protector break 5 minutes after being applied at a different location because the instructions he told me to do were wrong. He told me to press on the air bubble to fix it and it ended up breaking the protector. But he refused to replace it. When I came here they replaced it for free! Also the staff here are really friendly. I assume this place has a 3 star because people are being very selfish with what they want.

Terrible service could not get a simple question answered. After a long wait with no help I left walked two blocks to Target and got the phone in under ten minutes. I love that I get better service in Target than in a Verizon corporate store.
We had a way better than expected experience. The salesperson was extremely patient with a difficult AT&T phone number porting process. They bent over backwards to make it work and also to explain every nuance and complication of the Edge vs contract choice.

Worst retail experience in a long time! Go to the Burnside store! My phone died because the OS became corrupted and the phone couldnt boot (not my fault, honest). I went into the store the first time and Amanda told me the electronics in my phone were old (3 years old in this case) and I needed to buy a new phone. The usual crap one hears from a salesperson that isnt really interested in helping you solve your problem. So I left to try to fix my phone. That didnt happen so I came back a second time. Rob told me I could get a $200 credit for trading in my phone. I told him that it didnt work and he said No problem. I drove 55 miles round trip to get my phone and returned the next day. Sorry they said. Not only does your phone need to work for the trade-in but the offer is for a different phone. I got upset, told the manager I was buying my phone somewhere else because of what happened. He made no effort to try to keep my business. I went to the Verizon store on Burnside. Completely different experience! They were salespeople but they knew what offers were for what, they offered me some money for my non-working phone (the other store said it was worthless) and they knew what they were doing in terms of getting me back up and running.

The salesman there lied to me about a promotion, sold me a phone that shipped and then when I go to take the trade in, my local store informs me that I could get $90 for my phone, not $450. Called and talked to manager, she put me on hold only to hand off the problem back to the useless salesman that sold me the phone. He doesn’t take responsibility and talked about a miss communication, not I made a big mistake I’m sorry. So much for becoming a Verizon customer again. Worst thing is I was going this while traveling for work so I wouldn’t have to spend time while home. Now I have to make a second trip to Verizon. They may have good coverage but they have horrible customer service. Stand by what your salesman say. Horrible experience!!!!

Absolute terrible customer service experience. Every person walked away and stopped helping, went through 3 different people over a lost phone that they could do NOTHING about. They proceeded to have me file a claim(which turns out I couldnt bc I wasnt the acct holder) which these reps new and proceeded to have me do it anyway. Absolute terrible experience, they shouldve taken longer to train and not open.
I needed a screen protector for my Motorola DROID Turbo 2 (the screen may be shatterproof, but it isnt scratchproof). Kelsey did a fantastic job helping me; she quickly found the product I needed, explained the current promos without being pushy, and masterfully applied the protector with no bubbles or smudges. I was in and out in ten minutes.

Staff take the job lightly really cant help besides look online as anyone can at home. Usually upset customers at this location unless I happen to visit on bad days. Music in store is loud and not appropriate for public in my opinion. Everything can be done on line and I am not sure if this is a Verizon authorized dealer or an actual branch store.

Went in to upgrade my phone a few minutes ago to the Samsung s4 and ended up walking out with nothing. the girl who was helping me upon hearing my request immediately criticized my decision but agreed to grab the phone. she entered the stock room with a friend and several minutes later walked out with an s5 and a great deal to bundle it all together for the same price as the s4. she made a number of great sounding guarantees on the edge program. when I agreed she went back to the stockroom with her friend and unfortunately for her she didnt keep her game face and the two of them started giggling and chatting. so I looked up some reviews and found most people didnt have anything good to say about it. when she came back I told her I was going back to the s4. she criticized my decision again and then told me she never had the s4 in stock to begin with. I left. unfortunately she had the rhetoric down but couldnt keep her game face on. had she not shown so much excitement and a need to chat with her friend everytime she went to the stock room I would have made the deal. live and learn
Horrible service, as usual. Be prepared to wait in line for a long time...longer than they quote you. And, I only realized after talking to Apple that the plan I was on was outdated and a complete rip off...so, being a long time customer I thought that I could go talk with a customer service rep and get some consideration (even though the one I talked to on the phone completely miss-lead me and didnt clue me in that my plan was costing me $40 extra per month than the current plans). Once again its a large company taking advantage of the little people. Horrible store and horrible company. I will be looking into consumer cellular or one of the other small companies that ping off Verizon towers.

Interesting negative reviews but my experience (Jan 2016) does not reflect mentioned concerns. I had a significant issue with a device and had attempted to find resolution both through the 1-800 customer service number and another store in SW Portland --- unfortunately, neither helped. I decided to go to the downtown store hoping the expertise would be appreciably better. My decision was rewarded.I was assisted by Lamar. He listened to my story, worked through several options, and found a resolution the same day. Lamar took the time to call me the next business day to confirm Id been notified (by Verizon Customer Service) of the remedy.From where I sit, the staff is professional, highlighted by Lamars exceptional customer service. Id return without hesitation.

I recently made the switch from another carrier, and went into Verizon expecting to get sold on whatever hot new phone was there. Candice greated me quickly, answered all my questions with knowledge and personal experience. She also made me feel like I wasnt annoying her with my questions. After seeing a few options in person I needed to do some more research and she didnt seem bothered by my possible wasting of her time. I came back the next day, she remembered my name and even had info I had accidentally left on the counter saved for me. She got me setup with my new phone and started the porting process. After a few hiccups with paswords from the other carrier I had to leave. She continued to make sure my switch was complete throughout the day. I followed up a few days later and needed a fix to the screen protector and she handled it all while cruising around on one leg. Thanks Candice, hope you heal up quick.
I came into this store wanting to talk to a sales rep. about the pricing for plans/phones. This girl told me that a rep would be with me shortly so I sat down for around 20 minutes looking at all the reps talking to each other about their weekends. It wasnt busy at all and no one cared to ask if I had been helped. I got up and left after that. This place could use a lot of improvement.
Customer service is horrendous! Dont expect them to do a GD thing if you have an issue with a device or accessory. After making you wait around for your appointment (even though you describe the problem in detail at check in) they will rudely tell you that its a problem for the manufacturer. Even for items that are recently purchased at their store. They also know about jack about technical issues. I have left here crying multiple times because the staff has made me feel like Im to blame for product defects.

I dont know whats up with all the negative feedback, but I always have good service when I come here. I dont feel like the salespeople are trying to push me to buy something like at other retail stores.There was one day last year where I was suffering from low blood sugar and overheating from the summer sun, and the Starbucks wouldnt give me water unless I paid for a lemon slice. I said forget it and went to Verizon, I asked the Store Manager for some water and told him what happened and he gave me two free bottles of water. Super cool and nice of him! After I was able to cool down, during which he was very patient, he helped me with my phone questions.This place is great and has a good selection of phones and tablets, and if youre nice to them theyll be nice to you. Go figure!

I think many of the reviews of this store on Google are a little harsh. Yes, the store gets busy, and there can sometimes be a wait, but Ive purchased my last two phones here and was also with a friend when she purchased two phones here. With the 4-5 times Ive been in the store, things always went relatively smoothly and the customer service was solid.
They dont sell batteries. The actual battery inside your cell phone. Mine is shot, I need a new one. They dont sell them. Just why in the f**k can the battery be removed if Verizon stores dont sell them?
