The owner of this establishment is one of the nicest, most genuine people Ive ever dealt with. His prices are eminently reasonable, and the carpets and clay pieces are of highest possible quality. Everything in his store is a unique work of art. What a wonderful store! We bought a couple of things and the owner, Zafer, was so helpful. He shared the story of how the pottery is created, which made it that much more memorable. I emailed him when we returned home about delivery timing, and he was very quick to answer! Cant wait until we get our items!

I happened to be there when the artist himself was there and spoke with him a bit about the process - he was so nice and so humble (I couldnt get over some of the works of art he had created!). Our all time FAVORITE store in Portland. The most beautiful rugs from Turkey and incredible pottery, intricate plates and dishes. We have purchased a few rugs and they are top quality, just as we have seen in Turkey. The mugs and dishes make great gifts and are affordable.

Wow!! What an amazing place. The plates and rugs were all just stunning. I only wish I had more floor and wall space so I had a place to buy and display more pieces. The detail of the artwork is just incredible. The plates are simply gorgeous. The colors are so vivid! I loved the plates with phosphorus paint that glow in the dark. The artist, Zafer, was there to explain the process and techniques of ctreaying these pieces - which only made me appreciate these works of art even more.

Theres some gorgeous stuff at Guven. Mostly ceramic wine pitcher, goblets platters, pottery, bowls, tiles, and most beautiful Oriental rugs, mostly Turkish modern and traditional wool,silk,cotton. I wasnt expecting it to be this nice before I walked in and it was a pleasant surprise. Everybody needs to visit here
