I bought a car in Nov 2019 from Jared. It was a wonderful experience but the warranty paperwork was wrong. He said he would have it fixed. He did not. I have called every few months for over a year for the right paperwork and have had no luck. Now, I call and it isnt even Columbia Auto Group! It is RST now?! And when I called them, they were 0 help. Who do I call now? Why am I doing the work of the people who should have been doing it? Absolutely unprofessional and ridiculous.

I traveled 934 miles to buy a car from Columbia Auto Group and I dont regret it one bit.I own and operate a full service video production company (Naknek Design) based out of Los Angeles. Our team had been looking for a Mercedes Sprinter for a while and had been debating purchasing a new one and then building it out for our production gear.We saw that the team at CAG listed a nearly perfect Sprinter on their site. The stars aligned our team just so happen to see it right when they posted it.We called them right away to put a $500 hold on the Sprinter. This allowed CAG to hold the Sprinter for us for five (5) days as we did more research from our HQ in Los Angeles. Unbelievably gracious if ask me.Within the first few hours of us putting our hold down we learned the Sprinter had be totaled by the previous owner and rebuilt by the CAG team. This put a major halt on our progress as we arent the type of people who buy totaled cars.By Monday night we had done some digging online and actually found the original pictures of the Sprinter right after the accident. It had taken a beating, but it certainly wasnt destroyed or even close to it. This caused us to have some more reassurance and desire to dig a little deeper. We knew we had to do two things before pulling the trigger on the purchase.1. Find a solid Sprinter mechanic in the Portland area to do a full checkout of the car2. If the check out checks out then we would need to fly up to check it out ourselvesThe team at CAG were more than happy to assist in getting the Sprinter to the Sprinter mechanic of our choice on Tuesday morning. Again, unbelievably gracious if ask me.Our mechanic checked it out:- Engine- Transmission- Body- Electrical- Interior- Frame- Rust- Everything elseThe report came back nearly perfect. There was a couple of interior things that needed to be replaced, but before we could even decide to fix them the CAG team had asked and paid him to get started on it. Again, great work!At that point we decided we would fly up to Portland Wednesday afternoon to check it our ourselves.We arrived to Columbia Auto Group at around 5:00 pm. Within a couple hours of test driving and double checking the report ourselves we had con concluded that this was this was an amazing Sprinter to purchase and was exactly what we had hoped for.Jared helped us out up until we arrived to CAG. Upon arriving Alex took over and closed the deal for us. I simply cant say enough praise about the quality of customer services these guys gave us. They didnt feel like cars salesman - they just felt like men with integrity trying to help us get what we wanted along the way. They did this to a fault even and honored a lower sale number than the van could have sold for. Again, unbelievably gracious if ask me.By 9:00 pm that night we were on our way back to Los Angeles. We drove through part of the night and had no issues along the way. Thursday afternoon we stopped in San Francisco, took a picture by the bridge with the Sprinter, grab lunched, and connote out through the city. No issues driving those crazy San Francisco hills. We arrived back in Los Angles by Thursday night. Not one issue with the car. It simply did better than we expected.So do I recommend you check out a car from Columbia Auto Group? 100% yes. Keep in mind this is coming from a guy who hated the idea of purchasing a used car from a small dealership like this. Alex and his team has changed my mind on this - at least with their dealership.Do you homework, ask your questions, pay your mechanic to do his job, and if it all checks out - give your money to Columbia Auto Group.Thanks Alex, Jared, and the rest of the Columbia Auto Group!

Columbia claims to specialize in rebuilt titled cars. Iasked Mark, our salesman, to verify and explain why, the answer is simple .. to offer great deals.A salvage or rebuilt car has either been in an accident, stolen or vandalized. It is typically written off by an insurance company as a total loss however it can be fixed and resold under its typical manufacturers value. I was impressed at the shape of their inventory and how many cars had low miles. So I did the research and knew the risks but I had it inspected and bought a car known for reliability, a Mazda 3 sedan. It passed the inspection with flying colors at Mickeys auto.Marc took the time to show us all the records of the car, the Carfax report, any and all history they had on the vehicle. He was friendly, helpful and thorough. The test drive process was easy and non-restrictive. We paid cash so I cannot comment on financing options and while my experience may not be like all the rest, if youre diligent and know what you want, Columbia Auto will do the their best to do the rest.

I’ve never bought a car before so I was definitely nervous to try out some dealerships. I am glad I went with Columbia Auto Group. They had great reviews online and I wanted to see their inventory. Mark was super helpful and gave me all the information I needed on the car before buying, including the car fax and other vehicle info. I was also shown photos of the car when it arrived on the lot, by another employee. I thought that was very transparent of them and made me feel more confident in my purchase. The car was in great shape then and looks even better today. It made me feel like I was making an educated decision with no games being played. No pressure at all. This is not a sketchy place and you will feel comfortable making a purchase or checking out cars. EDIT: We purchased our cute Honda Fit 2 weeks ago. We were pleased with the deal and buying was easy. The car had been in a minor accident, bought at auction and fixed by RST motors/Columbia auto group. We drove the car home (2 hours away), loved it.... then just a few days later we noticed a problem with the front fenders.It appears the repair job was done really poorly or by someone who didn’t know what they were doing. The paint or clear coat or some kind of coating is stretching and peeling off. It looks just horrible.I called Jared (the salesman) and he let me know he would contact his repair folks and find out what repair had been done... and would get back to me.A week later playing phone tag and getting given the “I haven’t heard back from the repair guys” song and dance..... my husband let them know he wanted this issue resolved by the end d of the day Friday, Jared said he would call him back. Crickets. Are we being ghosted?We purchased a car with the understanding that repairs had been done.... right.This repair job was obviously NOT done right.We will happily change this review back up to 4 or 5 stars should RST motors do the right thing and arrange to have the problem fixed!Service was easy going and purchase was simple. Only had the car for a day but so far so good 🤞 it is as good as we hope!

I recently purchased a rebuilt outback and am very pleased with the car but do highly recommend people take it to Subaru dealership and pay for the used car inspection because they found several things wrong. Columbia quickly agreed to fix those items and even paid for the re-inspection. This dealership is very nice to work with and wants to sell a good car and retain their good reputation; I recommend them and would shop there first in the future. Maria

I inquired about a nice looking car from a distance, and asked about the title history. They said This one had a VERY minor accident in the rear.I was nervous because I would need to travel 6 hours to get to the dealership, so I ran the Carfax on the VIN Number. It was a Total Loss vehicle this year. This was not an honest presentation.

I thought this place was amazing at first, very open about damage until now. I bought a 2018 Subaru Forester from them April 2019 advertised as CLEAN TITLE and Clean Carfax. I was told that it had been in an accident that wasnt reported and had minor repairs that were fixed. Flash forward to today: looking at getting a bigger car, only to find out the carfax now shows structural damage from 12/2018. When brought to Columbia Auto Groups attention (and requested the manager to call, which they never did), they contacted Carfax and that was removed, claiming no frame damage. Great. However, I took it to a Subaru Dealership and there is infact, frame damage. Basically, I was sold a Clean Title car that is actually salvage. Buyer beware!!! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

My wife and I came here after seeing a subaru outback on google, without realising they specialized in rebuilt cars. The reviews of the company on Google are very positive (although working in advertising, I know this is easy to manipulate).So we visited the lot and met a salesman called Mark, who I believe has left now. He was informative and really friendly, telling us all about the company and the sort of cars they specialize in, and that they sold 70-80 cars a month. But this one star isnt about service. Its about safety.We asked what had been replaced on the car and were assured that it was purely cosmetic and minor - bumpers, a radiator, fender, no frame work - nothing to worry about. We even asked for a list of the changes, which they dutifully sent us. So we put a deposit down.Then we asked to take the car to Subaru to get them to check it over, and what they found was pretty shocking. Columbia had done much more work on it, including frame work, and Subaru had told us it was done in a pretty shoddy way. It also would have needed new electronic work, windscreen wipers, and supposedly still had crumpled metal in certain places. They also said that if wed have bought the car, wed definitely have had problems with it fairly soon. More importantly, they said that the car would not hold up in a crash, due to the frame damage and poor repair workmanship.I gave Columbias the repair sheet that Subaru had passed on to us, so hopefully they can fix it up so that its a safe vehicle.I have nothing against the company. I understand that they have to make a profit, and yes, the state does give certificates saying that the cars theyre selling are drive-able. But if youre looking for a car for the long term, its really not worth buying a rebuilt title. Or if you are, then take it to get checked out by the manufacturer. It doesnt cost much and you might save yourself thousands. Or even your life.

My partner and I recently got a great deal on a Honda CR-V. It was our first experience buying from a dealership. Luckily it was the first placed we stopped by. They let us take the Honda out for a test drive on our own, there was absolutely no pressure. We went to look at another vehicle at a dealership down the road, the dealer had to ride with us and directed us where we had todrive, meanwhile smelling up the car with booze breath and after we returned to the dealership him and two other dudes literally blocked us from leaving when we said wed think about it, asking why we didnt want to buy the car. We immediately returned to Columbia Auto and told them we wanted to buy the Honda they had. It was near closing so they just held it for us until the next day when we could come back and do paperwork. Other dealers need to take note of how customer service is done with respect and without pressure at Columbia Auto.

Walked through today. Looked to be a decent selection of cars. I cant attest to service as no one was in the lot for the half hour I was there. Not that I mind as I was just beginning my search and Im sure I could have gone inside for service.

I purchased a used 2017 Wolfsburg Jetta from them and it was quick and easy! After purchasing, I noticed a fairly large issue with the driver side door and was disappointed I did not see this earlier. Being the first car I have ever bought I was extremely disappointed I didnt notice it. I called and asked if there was any way they could compensate me for the issue since they knew it was there and I did not. Instead of giving me money to fix it, they went the extra mile and offered to take it back and get it fixed at the auto body shop all free of charge! Awesome service! Shout out to Mark for being friendly and understanding of the whole situation as well. Just got it back today and its good as new! Im one happy buyer!

I found what seemed to be a good deal on a vehicle on your website, and came in to look at it. We toured your entire lot including the cars parked on the street outside the fence, and took 30 minutes to do so. Nobody came out to greet us during that time. When we were leaving someone called from behind us to ask if we needed anything. I showed him the printout of the ad, and he said that the vehicle had already been purchased. Bottom line - I expect to be acknowledged in a timely manner, plus this looks like a bait-and-switch operation. The vehicle in question is still advertised (several days later) on your website, on autotrader, and even the craiglist ad is still up.

She said she didnt want to take the commission if I was really Jareds client. I assured her Jared wouldnt negotiate and failed to make a deal. She earned the commission and deserves every penny.Ylena was professional and removed all of the barriers between us and a deal. Let start by saying I had to fly in and drive almost 7 hours back home just to get a car.There cars are rebuild titles but once you understand why you understand that it is an amazing deal.We bought a vehicle with 23k on it for half the cost all becuase it was stolen and paid out.Now I have bought salvaged vehicles for many years and it takes the right mind set to be comfortable with. But with 23k I mean really this was a great deal!So I wanna say these guys were AMAZING!And I recommend them 100.They dont negotiate on vehicles and thats fine and heres why! I arrived and to my shock I found a check engine light, I was frustrated I just flew in from out of state and without letting them know that i was a salesperson for a dealership or even a person who has been around mechanics his whole life I played coy and allowed them to diagnos it and originally his answer wasnt correct but once he found the real.issue they offered to pay for the fix once I arrived home with the vehicle. They assumed a few hundred dollars and when it turned out to be closer to 500 I was sure they would argue.NOPE. They paid it, they honored there word. And they showed me they were good reliable people!.Look simple fact is these guys go over and beyond and sure they may not be perfect titles but for the price the vehicles are worth it not to mention they are simple to communicate with!Thanks again guys!

They are amazing. I just got a GMC Acadia that me and my family love. They are easy to work with, and are genuine about their customer satisfaction. I was able to trade in a car with body damage and my fiat to cover the almost the whole cost of the car. When I ran into some minor issues with the new car they let me bring it to a dealership in my area so I don’t have to drive the extra 2 hours to them, and they are covering it for me. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’m blown away with the service I got from them. I would 200% reccomend them to any one considering a getting a car.I bought my last car from a ford dealership and had a horrible customer service experience and got ripped off really bad. I wish I would had known about Columbia auto group back then! I would had saved myself so much money and time.
