John got me a great deal on a remote start and because of my schedule, I had to come back at a later time to get it installed. He worked around my schedule and when I came back to have the remote start installed, he had me in and out in just a few hours. I’m happy to report that the remote start has and still does work perfectly! He got me exactly what I was looking for and I would definitely recommend Distinctive Sound to anyone, and everyone for any of their car audio needs. I can’t wait to go back and have them install a dash cam for me. They’re simply fantastic. My only regret is that I am unable to give them more stars. They’re the best!!!

I went into this place to spend good money and what looked like the guy that owned the place wouldnt even help me. I honestly feel as if he was judging me as if i didnt have the money to spend. Well jokes on him dont waste your time or hard earned money here. Its worth the extra couple hundred bucks to go to outrageous audio. The staff us friendlier, and the systems are 100 times what this shop sells its a joke here!!!

John is fabulous and did an amazing job on my challenger with under lighting. I absolutely love it! Best place to go that I know of and we drove 1 1/2 hours to get to him.

The owners of this company are so kind and willing and able to help. Not only do they have a shop but they are even willing to do mobile installations!! Have had 2 different Bluetooth stereos installed in two different cars by this company. Both times the staff is incredibly friendly, fast, and the quality of work is incredible. My latest install also came with a subwoofer and amp set up. I left my with them in stock condition and when I got it back out looked like my new system came with the car from the dealer liked that the lines and quality was that good. Always happy with their work and will be a life long customer!

My girl friend paid for a system to be put into my car and it don’t work stoped working and when I called to have them fix it they wouldn’t even fix it was very rude and the owner has very pour customer service and an attitude and all’s I wanted was it looked at. she just paid a lot of money do not go there spend the extra money and go to outrageous audio or stereo king

I found the service at Distinctive Sound to be top notch. The owner John is extremely knowledgeable! He does a great job of helping someone who knows very little about car stereos feel good about making choices around which components are quality and not just expensive. I have often found car stereo sales people to be constantly up selling me. I did not get that feeling here!Install went smoothly and looked great. A couple weeks down the road on of the speakers started to sound funny so I brought it in and they replaced it no charge.So a big thumbs up to this business and it’s staff. Always friendly and helpful!

John came out to my house in Canby for a mobile install of a Viper alarm system.. Super friendly knowledgeable service!

John told me to show up at 10am (their opening time on Saturday) and he never showed up. I waited 20 minutes and a neighboring business operator came told me John was running late (at least another 30 minutes). There was another customer standing around waiting too. I won’t be returning. Distinctive Sound also charges a minimum of $100 for diagnostic work and $100/hr after that FYI.

John was awesome! He fixed my backup camera in like 30min. I feel like he went the extra mile for me.

I was having trouble with getting my phone to to connect to the stereo in my new car. I first called and spoke with Dave told him my problem and I asked if they did these kinda things. Dave said that he could I asked how much he bring it by I will do it for you free of charge. So I went over there and Dave was busy but John was quick to help and in minutes I was on the road again. This is a great team of guys I highly recommend them.

Update. Was contacted and arrangements made to to look at it sometime in Jan. Heres to hoping its an easy fix. Not sure whats gonna happen if its not. Appreciate them reaching out. 3 stars for now. Well update if/when it gets looked at.Posting due to the horrible experience. Paid $900 for a backup camera a year ago. Was told as long as I have my number its covered. Called today and was told new owner wouldnt warranty the work. What a joke. Wouldnt give them my leftover pho from next door.

*update*After 7 months my bass kept on cutting out. At first I thought it was the amp but it was not. It was the ground distro block. It melted. My car could have caught on fire. At the initial bid, I asked to upgrade my power and grounds to zero gauge. But they didnt because the distro block did not have the right adaptor for a zero gauge. I questioned him why he should have just took out the distro block. He assured me with the amount of power I was running, it wouldnt cause any problems. I took him on his word. Fast forward and come to find out the job was not adequate. See photos. 800 dollars for a re-fix from a previous place. Was pointless. Now I decided to do it myself and fix the whole mess. Lets hope the new owner does better.---------John and Juan did a great job with the install at first glance.They had to fix a previous install from a different local dealer and in which they needed to undo everything and wire it brand new. At first glance it is really good. I have yet to double check their work. I will update later. The last thing to come out from their mouths was, if there are any concerns bring it back in and we can look into it together. The best way to get a life long customer.
