Thanks Skip for the well explained process of how the project would proceed. Your team was on schedule for the installation of Openpath.com access control and security cameras.
Regrettably, my experience with Pixel was unsatisfactory but not something that cant be resolved on their part. For full disclosure, I am a local business that sought to up grade my access system and move to OpenPath. Pixels quoted pricing was fair and reasonable and I was prepared to sign the contract agreement. However, under the terms of service the contract contains the following language... After the expiration of one year from the date hereof PIXEL shall be permitted from time to time to increase the monitoring charge by an amount not to exceed nine percent each year and Subscriber agrees to pay such increase. PIXEL may invoice Subscriber in advance monthly, quarterly, or annually at PIXELs option.. When these terms were questioned, rather than making an effort to address or ease my concerns, PIXELs president reply as follow... Every company has some form of a contract for system installation and reoccurring services. Most of which, if not all. Are slanted toward the companies best interest. I understand your concerns, I believe that we are not likely to find common ground where you are 100% satisfied with the agreement. I dont begrudge any business from profiting from their investments, efforts or services, however this agreement is not merely slanted toward the companies best interest, it subjugates its customers unnecessarily. Consider, would you grant you internet, phone, yard service, utility or any other business the rights? PIXEL could have easily constructed a contract that protected both their and their customers interests. They chose not to.
Pixel put together a fantastic security system for our agricultural research facility. They were timely, friendly and helped us understand how to utilize our cameras for management. With their recommendation, we put in a PTZ camera that allows us to see our crops growth stages when we are traveling. This is huge for our business! If you are looking for a high quality security system and great customer service, choose Pixel.
Pixel is great to work with and is very responsive to our needs. We have used them for a complete access control system project, and many different video / security projects over the past 4+ years. Every project turns out great and they go the extra mile to make sure we are happy with the final product. We look forward to working with Pixel for many years to come!
We are a direct competitor with Skip and Tim along with their team and I have to say they were very professional collaborating on a mutual client. Thanks Pixel for your assistance and prompt help.
They are terrible. They take three times as long to install the security system and then it was nothing they promised. They tried to up sell us everything. The security cameras they wanted to sell us were thousands of dollars while we could have bought our own at Costco for hundreds and they were more updated and worked with our own network. They are an antiquated company and you would be better off interviewing other companies in town. Weve used them for 9 months now and Im shopping for a new security company now. Any recommendations?
I have used Pixel for most of our camera needs at my work for over ten years now and the times I used someone else I was sorry. Pixel has always delivered what they promised and I would highly recommend them for any project of any size.
