These guys are FAST! I needed an oil change and a catalytic converter shield installed on my Prius. They were pretty busy when I came to the shop by they still turned it around in a couple hours and gave great service. Shout out to Jason and his team, keep it up!

So disappointing. This owner robbed and took advantage of our 19 yo son. We dont live nearby, we saw they had good reviews and sent our son to this auto shop to confirm either a bad alternator or battery. This man charged my son $420 and the receipt says it ended up being a bad battery. That is a simple fix, our son could have done it himself if hed had someone to help him. Instead he was taken advantage of. Very shameless.

Brought my Jeep in for a check engine light. After being told it was three different things and fixing each one, the problem was still not solved. Was told to spend another $2k for a fix that they weren’t sure would even fix it. Also now have a whirring sound in my ac that they caused and didn’t fix. Horrible service! Would never recommend

Took our “new to us” 2010 Honda in for inspection of mystery noises. The inspection was thorough and the online report with notes, photos, and videos was fantastic and something I’ve not seen from any of the other shops (including dealerships) I’ve been to. While fixing everything would have been expensive, the detailed report and the service advisor (Jason) helped to prioritize the work that needed to be done first. Overall excellent service! We’ll be taking our car back in a few months to tackle the next item on the list (shocks and struts).

Bobby and his team did a great job rewiring my collector vehicle from the early 1970s. As they were working, they identified several other issues that needed to be addressed. Each time they did this, I would receive a text message describing the issue and also the potential price to repair. I ended up having a handful of issues corrected, and my vehicle and the electrical issues are fixed. Good communication throughout the process, and they even made an effort to keep my vehicle inside the entire time since it doesn’t have a top. Finally, while Bobby was waiting for me to pick up the vehicle he ended up addressing a potential differential issue on his own time (a loose bolt) and surprised me with the news the issue was fixed - without charge - when I showed up to pick up the vehicle. I will be back, and highly recommend!

Bobby and his team are fantastic. They know what theyre doing and they do the job well. Always up front and honest about what needs to be done and how long its gonna take. I appreciate being able to get a lift back home from the shop if i need one... I would recommend them to friends and family.

I am a new resident in Oregon and needed work done on my minivan. Setting up an appointment on the phone was easy, friendly and timely. The workers in office and on car, were as well. They explained everything my car needed and even took a little extra time to get me good deals. They offered rides to and from the shop, if needed. Everything was Covid clean, efficient and reliable. My car runs way better and I feel safer in it. I am glad I found a car repair shop I can trust in my new home state.

Experience was straightforward and painless. I stopped in to get an oil change and check the status codes for an occasional check engine light that would come on. They were friendly and easy to work with and I got everything I needed. The status codes gave me the info I needed to fix the issue and my car has been fine since.

They are courteous and professional, and dont try to up-sell you on stuff you dont need, but on the other hand they have the diagnostic equipment to give you a very complete analysis of the state of your vehicle. I took my car in for the 150,000 mile check. Multnomah Automotive reviewed Ford’s recommendations and then called me with a thorough and fair price quote. When I arrived to pick up my car there was a delay due to incorrect size on the drive belt. Multnomah Automotive expedited the delivery of the correct belt and had me on my way very quickly. I highly recommend them and I will go back for future service.

Had an oil change recently and Im happy. They performed a free inspection on my vehicle and it seems like they have knowledge and use quality parts.

My family and I moved to the area about 6 months ago and Ive been getting gas solely at this Chevron because the attendants are so polite and helpful. My Honda CRV needed some front end work done and I was referred to Multnomah Automotive by the attendant Jason. When I took my car in I was helped by Bobby. After doing a diagnostic test he called me and explained what needed to be done to fix the issues. In short, it was a lot more than we could afford at this time right after the holidays. I really cant say enough good things about the service Bobby provided for us. He truly went above and beyond to make sure our car was in safe working order while staying within our budget - and keeping me informed and updated throughout the process. My car was making a horrendous noise before we took it in and felt very unsafe to drive. Bobby figured out what the problems were and when I picked my car up it felt completely different and made no noise. We will be bringing our cars here from now on. Honest and trustworthy mechanics with great communication. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I have been to MA many times since a catastrophic overheating right in front of their shop. I needed a lot of work done, and Bobby and his team walked me through everything, helped me put repairs in an order according to my needs and budget, and have gone above and beyond in making sure I understood everything I needed to. Theyve stood by their work, and I never got the feeling they were more interested in up-selling more work than they were in finding an immediate solution to the problems I was having. Over the past few months, Ive been back there 4 or 5 times for other work that Ive needed done, and Ive never worried if I was making the right mechanic decision. I dont live anywhere near them, but because of the care theyve taken of me and my vehicle, I go back even just for oil changes.

Multnomah Automotive has some of the kindest people youll find anywhere. I recently got a flat tire near this shop and they were incredible about helping me. They pulled the tire off and quickly repaired it, all at the end of their work day. I would highly recommend bringing your car here to anyone!

I was hoping to like this place because it is close to my house and it would be a real convenient shop for my car. Unfortunately, I am very unhappy with the service that was performed on my car. I was having some engine issues with my car and brought it to this shop. Service was performed and engine parts were replaced. The problem I brought the car in for continued to happen after the repairs. I brought the car back in and they looked at it for a couple hours and said there wasn’t anything else they could do. The problem continued and I took my car to the dealership where it had been serviced previously. They said the parts that had been replaced were not correct for the car. They had to redo all of the service that Multnomah Automotive had done on my car. I was left with two fairly significant service bills…one from Multnomah Automotive and one from the dealership that redid the work. I have contacted Multnomah Automotive about this issue by phone, email, and in person. They have said that they will not do anything about the situation, and I’m now stuck with two bills for doing the same work. I’m not happy about this and will never go to this auto shop again, not even to get gas.Update after original post:In response to the response below... My point is that if I had taken my car to the dealership, it would have been repaired properly the first time. It appears that it was my poor decision to take it to Multnomah Automotive instead of the dealership because I ended up needing to have the car repaired for the same issue twice within a couple weeks of each other. I agree that I made the decision to take it somewhere else after two visits to Multnomah Automotive for the same issue. Shame on me, I guess. But I will not be visiting this service station again.

After a 12 hour night shift battling death as a critical care nurse with no breaks, I managed to damage the front skid plate of my car. Drove home with it dragging the ground and called Multnomah Automotive to schedule a repair. Expected I would have to spend the weekend driving a very noisy vehicle only to be delighted to get an appointment at 1030 this am. Arrived with 2 minutes to spare, in my pajamas, and was met by the very friendly gentlemen before I even reached the door. They knew (presumably from the sound when I drove up) just what I was there for. They repaired the skid plate in exactly 12 minutes at the extremely generous price of free! They have most definitely gained a new customer in me, and I encourage you give them a visit, too, when you have the need. Conveniently located, toasty warm waiting area with coffee, and a store right across the street for snacks if the wait exceeds 12 minutes. What more can I say other than to express my sincere gratitude?!

Great experience in my first two visits. First time, after there were no signs of a problem, they only charged me for half an hour instead of the full hour. Second time, they were upfront about all the repairs needed for some rear brakes that were completely rusted out. They sent me timely updates when the situation evolved and accommodated my request to have photos sent to me. Friendly and timely, nothing but positives for my experiences here.

So yesterday the 15 of Oct I got a flat down from this station changed my tire to the spare and not more then 3 min later spare was flat ..I limped it to Chevron thinking I needed air in the spare no it had a hole too...I asked the guy behind the counter if they had a cheap tire he showed me where to look ..was broke just did about 1000 $ worth of engine work to this car...found a tire and the manager Bobby said 25 bucks I was like I got no money man 21 $ all I had he said ill make it happen after bobby changed my tire the first guy said on us Bobby agreed and I was on the road in about 15 min ...these two saved my day I was on my way to pick up my son from his mother didnt think I was going to make it ....thanks Bobby and the other cool guy they treated me very well!!! thank you!!!!

Jessica was able to schedule me in the morning of, due to an over heating issue. Eric took a look under the hood, quickly identified & attached a loose hose, filled er up with coolant, was generous enough to take his time to test the pressure and sent me on my way! I felt a huge feeling of security with these two. That is the feeling I find most important with a mechanic.

These people really care about customers and love helping them at every chance. My wife and I had a problem with our car and its fuel pump and they waived the diagnosis fee and even brought the total price down by the end of repairs. Even better yet is they estimated it would take over a week to get it fixed but it only took 2 days!

I truck brought in for inspection they wrote a grocery list of items they wanted to do of maybes if wespent more money to check. then reported to carfax because i opted out. beware they dont know how to hold confidences shows me they are not trust worthy.

I really want you to bring your business here. I brought in my Honda Hybrid because of a electrical problem and they fixed it in 10 minutes and did not charge me. Under 15 minutes is considered a free consult. The two young men who assisted were sweet and kind and wanted me to be comfortable during my wait. Customer service is clearly their highest priority! Highly recommend Multnomah Automotive. We first brought our 2006 Toyota Highlander to Multnomah Automotive in October, 2017. Our first major incident was old drained battery that needed replacement. Our second major service was the 144 month service. From the battery replacement to the major service, our Toyota has been running very well. They offered a ride back to our home and pick up when the car was done, as we don’t live far from them. When we picked up our car from the 144 month service, it was washed and vacuumed. My wife commented that the car hadn’t looked that good, inside and out, for some time. And, as I mentioned above, ran well and continues to do so. The friendly, honest and professional treatment, throughout is such a contrast from the dealership we used before.

So friendly and kind! Do a great job, dont feel weird asking questions, and always do their best to get me in as soon as possible!

I was then called about the fact that the mechanic has detected a leaky engine due to a blown head gasket. The repair was estimated to $3,500. I pulled my car and brought it to my usual mechanic. I payed $110 for the partial dis-assembly of the old radiator and re-assembly. My mechanic changed the radiator for $250. He did a bubble test of the coolant to verify with 100% certainty that there wasnt a head gasket failure. No head gasket failure. There is some oil leakage but not much. So how do you guess I feel about Multnomah Auto nd their work? $250 vs $3,500 for a repair that wasnt even needed. I would suggest they read a manual on how to test for a blown head gasket!

Great local repair shop! It is small but can do most repairs. Had them do my 70k service and it was done well and in a reasonable amount of time. Affordable too. Jason and Bobby are responsive and reliable.Back again for every 10k service and up to almost 100k. These guys are still great! They are meticulous, document each item with a photo which is available to me to look at. They are happy to go over the photos and expain what they are seeing and what it means. That is pretty top notch. Even for a simple service, they do a lot of other checks on the vehicle so it makes it much easier to guage the overall health of the car. With that, it helps to be able to plan the larger service needs -- they provide good estimates of when those may come to pass so I can budget for them.

I bought my tires from Bobby and they did a great job. The price was a bit more than the bigger tire stores but worth it! Additionly, since I dropped off my car, I didnt have to wait 3 hrs like when Ive gone to Schwab!

This Chevron does not win any awards for being the cheapest gas in the area, but for convenience it takes the grand prize. Swinging by here before heading on the road for a trip to Seattle makes up for the higher cost of gas since I feel my time is more valuable than a few cents per gallon in my prius. Also, they do fill propane tanks here, which I use very often in the summer.

If youre looking for an honest repair shop that does excellent work, this is the place for you!I have gone to Multnomah Automotive twice in the past two years to have work done on my 03 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The first time was to have the radiator and thermostat replaced; the second time was because of an electrical issue that was causing problems when I tried to start the engine. I have nothing but good things to say about this business based on those two experiences. In fact, I plan to take my Jeep in for a third time in the near future for some brake work.The manager and technicians are extremely respectful and, unlike some repair shops I have gone to in the past, do not try to talk customers into unnecessary repairs. Both times I have had my Jeep serviced, they have informed me of maintenance work that could/should be done, but they are also very candid about whether their suggested repairs are necessary or not. In short, they run an honest business and wont talk you into unnecessary repairs just to make a few extra bucks.For example, when they serviced the electrical problem on my Jeep, their initial diagnosis was that either the crank position sensor or the powertrain control module (PCM) were bad. They told me that at least one (and possibly both) would need to be replaced, which would have cost at least a few hundred dollars, but could cost over a thousand dollars, depending on which part(s) needed replaced.However, after spending some more time doing diagnostic testing and working with the vehicle, they were able to resolve the problem without having to replace either part, and only charged me about $100 for labor.

I finally had an oil leak problem resolved on my 98 Subaru legacy outback. The car was with a different mechanic twice for the same problem and was out of pocket over $1500 with oil still leaking. These guys fixed it and its great to have my vehicle back. Highly recommend their service for your car.

Excellent service. I brought in a 2013 Hyundai Accent that my sister had bought a few days ago from a used car dealership. There was a grinding sound coming from the rear right tire that sounded like the brake pad was worn down and the rotor was starting to become damaged. We made an appointment on short notice, turned out there was just some dirt in the rear brake drums, which they cleaned for us, resolving the issue. They fixed the issue, test drove the car to verify, etc. and ultimately tried to do it all FOR FREE (I left them a big tip). This includes showing me the disassembled rear brake drums and giving me some auto maintenance 101. Pretty amazing.

They are great! Jessica coordinated with my warranty company, maxcare, and even informed me that I had rental car coverage through maxcare. They have an excellent relationship with enterprise on Barbur and the folks at enterprise got me into a truck for a very good price, all of which ended up being covered by my rental coverage. I wouldve been stuck in a compact car with the cost allowance and wouldve had to cancel my rafting trip if it werent for their great relationship with enterprise! They fixed my car quickly and completely and had me back on the road with minimal impact on my life. I drive a jeep with a rare Diesel engine, which some shops seem to struggle with, but these guys are pros and it was no problem for them! Id recommend them to any of my friends or family.
