Terrible experience. Called for a price and set up an appointment for tires and alignment. Arrived on time and got tires but don’t get alignment because they said they don’t make appointments. Tried to charge $100 more than quote for tires and wouldn’t honor quote. So much for supporting local businesses…. I don’t trust them and won’t buy from them again. Beware!

I found the place on google right after a big screw went into my tire. When I arrived I was serviced promptly. One took my info while another worked on patching the tire. I asked for new tire quote and was given multiple options, reasonable pricing and a lot of good info. The service was excelent. Deffinitely recommend!! Give them a visit for your tire needs :)

The owner, Bud is a super friendly and honest guy. I purchased snow tires for both of my cars here at the start of winter this year. Today I had him swap them back and I needed new summer tires for one of my cars. Very good, fair prices. Decent enough area to wait. Will certainly use him again and would recommend to others as well.

Dont expect the lowest price. Do expect outstanding service.While I was there a woman came in; her car could be heard from a block away. They removed the rock and sent her on her way, no charge. Also good for simple repairs, oil changes, batteries, wiper blades, etc.

Wow, I have never encountered a business staffed by this incompetent people, from the front desk to the technicians, they are either not listening to what is being said or are completely incapable of comprehending it. Also, do not buy Nokian winter tires from them as they say those dont have any manufacturers warranty.

We got a screw stuck in our tire and they patched it super quick! Came in and after fifteen minutes it was done. They were also super nice! This is my new tire place!

I called them to get a quote for installing a set of new tires I had in my garage. They told me $20 a tire or $80 for the set. After they installed my tires, they told me sorry but it would be $150 total. He gave me a lame excuse that since he didnt sell me the tires it would now cost twice as much. I hate the bate and switch tactics but it is hard to get them to take off the tires once they are on. I will never go there again.

They got my SUV running smoothly for the first time in over a year just by naming the problem and fixing a bad front brake bearing efficiently. It was expensive but not overpriced. I had just had the VIP store off NE 82nd in Portland, OR, assure me (lazily) that nothing was wrong with my vehicle and there was just a loud transmission which cost me $100 to hear them say this to me. Wow, do you really fix race cars? Even I can hear that loud noise is not a loud transmission. But Tire Factory cares enough to be honest and do a fast good job and charge as little as possible. The actual brake pad was floating around inside some part of the tire it was so bad and I was driving in with a very loud shrieking scraping sound and could barely stop the car at that point. They also fixed my Toyota Camry brakes last year and due to my budget they only fixed what was absolutely necessary at the lowest possible cost but with high quality work. I love driving my SUV again now and that was just not the case before they fixed it! They also install windshield wipers in just minutes for you.

So sad to see that the owners retired due to the pandemic.

Not honest people! They change the tire and balanced them, after he applied the weights for balance he did not run the tire again and quickly remove the tire, so when I ask him to run it again to make sure that he apply the right weights machine shows that both tires are of balance.

This place is amazing... they sold me 4 slightly used tires and had them on in less than a half hour.. the price was outstanding! Use to go to les schwab.. never again.. I found my new tires guys! Thank u for being honest, fair and affordable! Not to mention the customer service was outstanding!

Took my car into sunset for an alignment late 2015 due to patchy inner tire wear and specifically asked them to look for worn parts as the patchy wear wasnt indicative of normal misalignment. The car was aligned and I was told everything was fine under the car. I noticed 3 days ago my inner right front tire was bald and took it to another shop where I was taken to the bay and shown that my inner tie rods were badly worn and no way the car could hold alignment. I cant speak for everyone but as for me personally. I wasted money here and it was not a job well done. I wont be back.

Great service and great tires. These guys sell good products that may cost a little more. After two bad winters in the hills Im thrilled with my Nokian winter tires. I could have saved $300 or so with Les Schwab tires. Ive had them before - the Nokians are better in every way. I never would have known about them if not for this shop.After half a dozen visits (or more) the service is uniformly excellent. This is my go-to place to get tires for 3 cars. They ask what you need, listen well, and then give options with no pressure to go to more expensive tires. Just a great place that has taken good care of me. Highly recommended.

I needed replacement for two front tires due to bad alignment on my truck. I arrived at Sunset Tire Factory at 08:30 (store opening time). Bud (the owner) asked what my needs were and gave me several options for replacement. He was unable to fix the alignment problem as my truck is a crew cab long bed DRW and his alignment rig is too small to accommodate my truck. The tires I selected where not in stock but where available at local warehouse and the price with labor was well within prices quoted by other local shops so I committed to the replacement of the two badly worn tires. I agreed to return to the shop at 15:00. At around 14:00, I received a call that the tires were in the shop. I arrived ~ 14:30 and before work started, I requested additional service (rotation of the DRW set: left to right) which was added for $30 of labor. All work was completed within the hour to my satisfaction. I got no upsell for tires with the highest price tags, no upsell of unneeded service, and no BS. I got honest work and good timely service that I requested. I plan to return here for my future tire needs.

Never go there again, they put a plug in my tire instead of breaking down the tire and paching it, ridiculous.
