A true St. Johns neighborhood gem! This lovely, cozy, bright indie bookstore & yarn store have a fabulous selection of goodies, including great local art. If you can’t find what you want, the kind, friendly, & passionate staff will order it for you asap. And you can easily order online. SO AWESOME! Worth your time & visit!!❤️
Saw the reviews that said “reasonable priced” and thought to myself… well, that’s what rich people usually say on overpriced products. Went there to check it myself and I was correct. The prices are not affordable and overpriced for no reason. You can get most of the items for cheaper everywhere else. The store looks and feels expensive. 👍🏻
I had a great experience at this bookstore. They have a great selection and helped me get set up with an Audiobooks app that helps support local bookstores.
My name is Roger Browning and I am a writer from Texas. On vacation we traveled to the area. It was precovid since I have been. My wife loves the idea of yarn and I am a seeker of the independent local bookstore. This store had it all! I find them all different and fascinating and this one, no exception. I did come away with a book, my wife some rolls of yarn and my daughter a shirt, a book and some trinkets as well. We were warmly welcomed, so thank you. Independent bookstores are so important. Seek them out and give them your business. They need you just as much as you need them. My name is Roger Browning, author of The Reckoning of Rance, now out on Amazon.
Great curated collection, super friendly staff, and unique local gifts
This was my first time visiting St. John’s and I never leave reviews. I went into this shop to get a gift for my girlfriend and I was treated rudely by a grey haired women and I did not feel welcomed so I left, On top of that the prices were not reasonable. This shop has potential but the owner needs to check their staff.
Great independent book store with very friendly (& helpful) staff
Well curated selection. Not so much it is overwhelming but not so small I cant find something everything time I go in that is new and interesting.
What a great local book shop, theyve got the books were all reading now and a bit of everything you didnt know you needed. Love that they have a variety of local goods, vintage and knit all in one space. Had a great customer service experience. Highly recommend checking it out!
Great customer service and very friendly people
I love this bookstore (and yarn shop)! Its always arranged beautifully, with new, tantalizing books. But also, I love that if theres anything I want that isnt in stock, I can order online, support my local, independent bookstore and pick up items conveniently.
What a find! You buy a couple of books there and they know you by name. They’ll order anything and usually get it there in about three days. It’s my favorite place to buy local. I confess that I often shop on Amazon, but then order at Two Rivers. I love these people. Now if only I had time to knit AND read....
Two Rivers is a bright spot in the neighborhood! Good small collection and willing to find books for you.A very welcoming place.
A favorite local PNW bookstore with loads of local foraging, crafting, and cookbook options!
Really great customer service. Good selection of books and yarn. Fun neighborhood store. Shop local, shop small!
Seriously, one of the best places to visit in Portland. Dont miss the yarn shop Weird Sisters that shares the space. A great independent book store with great selection and a yarn store that rocks!
Theyre so helpful and this is such a nice shop to have in the neighborhood
Books, yarn, and high quality gift items all in one place! It is light, open, and inviting. Im thrilled to have a bookstore in town again.
Great local shop. They bring in an excellent selection of local authors (neighborhood authors, not just Portland at large). They have contemporary books in all genres and are happy to do special orders Beyond books they share the space with a localy owned knitting shop, host fun events throughout the week, and sell a rotating selection of localy made crafts... Iron working, instruments, textiles, etc. Another great, locally owned, business for St Johns.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that we have another bookstore in St Johns. And this one is *clean* and has fantastic books, great gifts for my family, keeps me supplied for my book club :)
A wonderful place for readers, thinkers and community.
Shop Local. Buy wool. Wonderful place.
The best local bookstore a gal could wish for.
Great, growing selection of books with a focus on local authors and artists! Thank you for bringing a bookstore to our community.
Two Rivers Bookstore is our go-to bookstore in Portland. We live in St. Johns and every time we need a book recommendation we stop in to Two Rivers. Not only do they have a wide selection of books and local art, they frequently put on great live music and author events. Weve seen a number of local performers at Two Rivers and plan on seeing many more!
