This bookstore recently reopened for the first time in years, with the kindest man working front desk and a treasure trove of books to choose from. They’re working so hard to get the ball rolling, figuring out a new books exchange system and looking for zines to add to their collection. I highly recommend this place - it’s one-of-a-kind and serves a worthy cause. There is inventory here that you will find nowhere else.
Listed phone number has been disconnected. Store appears closed from outside??? Previous visits to this shop have been worthwhile.
Excellent music, quite loud, lovely clerk; There were books as well. Thank you for a remarkably pretty copy of Miss Lonelyhearts and the Day of the Locust.
So pleasantly surprised to find books on a very niche topic, and I found TWO! My excitement can’t be contained. Also, the clerk mentioned they invite people to lecture on their interests—I’m quite impressed at a store promoting community involvement and learning like that. Well done, well done!
It feels funny to rate something so countercultural on google, but this is one of the great stores in all of Portland.
This store gets more and more incredible…!! The land that time forgot! The culture of the last 200 years!
Very excellent and very quick to attend
