Books are good people should read more books. Theres nothing like the feeling or the smell of a new book. This is one of the only book stores that still open.

I LOVE books. Almost all books. I only was able to walk by and look in from outside the store while on my way up to the food court so I was a little sad. But just being able to see them and at least read the titles so I could imagine what they are about while walking by still gave me joy and hope that Ill get to go back and actually visit very soon so I can search for another book that I cant live without. I long for days of not wearing a mask so I can smile at people and talk with people about books. But this store is clean and staff are friendly.

Enjoy visiting Barnes and Nobles. One of the few original places left in Lloyd center. They are always stocked and their store is clean. Bathrooms are kept up well. Employees are kind and very helpful. Would recommend visiting here if you are coming from out of town.

Love going to Barnes and Noble but never had a security follow me or even start randomly talking to me as if I was stealing something. It was so obvious her intentions made me uncomfortable especially that Im an employee for Barnes & Noble in Florida. Besides that why would I wanna steal id Im right in front of the security and the line to pay. Meanwhile shes in front of the store chatting away with another security and on the phone instead of walking around the store. Im glad Im just visiting and even if I lived here I wouldnt go back ever again. I found a way better book store Powells Book store.

Very wide variety of everything you could need & imagine good cozy atmosphere makes you wanna sit down & just read have not tried the coffee shop yet how ever but look forward to it

Why would a bookstore need to include advertising for food delivery in their orders delivery. this is not good for the planet and I did not pay for that. Will avoid Barnes and Noble in the future to avoid more trash on the planet.

I enjoy going to Barnes and Noble. Some times its a puzzle magazine, other times it is to find a book series I have never finished. I am considering a Kindle book to close the more books at my finger tips. There are many styles of books. Childrens books, cooking books, mysteries, Sci fy, If you dont see what you are looking for, ask one of the knowledgeable staff. They can order it for you if it is not in stock or check one of the other Barnes and Noble stores for you. If you need a place to rest, try their coffee shop. Its in the store on the first floor.

Well, all I can say is I hope someone has a good plan to bring the Loyd Center back! Barnes and Noble was dead. There were more workers than patrons. Everyone was super nice. Why shouldnt they be considering the people of N.E. Portland are letting them down and their jobs are on the line. Please support B&N in Loyds Center!

I stopped in on this 87°F fall day to get a PSL. Cmon, I had to! It was delightful as was the staff at this not so secret Starbucks. Ill be back for sure!The store was also very clean and felt safe.Thanks again! 😊 🍂

This review is just for B&N Cafe. Most importantly, Carly is amazing. If I could recruit her, I would in a heartbeat. Excellent service, great drinks, and they care about getting it right worth no extra fuss. I recommend this location to everyone!

I love this location the people that work there are super helpful and kind. You wouldnt even think its in the mall in Portland this Barnes and noble location is my favorite!

Always Love to get lost @ Barnes and Noble with all the awesome stuff in there. I know its a big chain shop but that is what is kinda comforting in a big way. It does have a unique PDX/ Lloyd vibe....

The atmosphere is inviting, and they give you places to drink your morning coffee and read a nice (e)book. Theyre good about the COVID-19 restrictions, marking tables when they havent been cleaned yet, but also provide plenty of well-distanced seating.

Love this store! Always such relaxing classical music playing overhead, tons of book selection, and super friendly staff!

I dont know if the coffee place in here burnt coffee beans or what but the smell in there today almost made me ill. Was looking for manga but literally had to rush out because the smell was so horrible.

But it would be nice to be helped or at least asked if someone needs help Im blind I and disabled and not was asked if I needed help even if I was with someone else

Most people think theres no reason to even buy physical books anymore when you can just get a Kindle or download books or listen to books on tape, but Ill tell you what; I havent found a coloring book selection even 1/10 as impressive as theirs! PLUS, they have ALL KINDS of other stuff too, including some BEAUTIFUL journals, toys, games, etc... I honestly dont really ever read books at all, yet I ALWAYS leave this store with at LEAST 2 bags FULL of treasures, and so excited to show everyone what I discovered!!

I can find whatever Im interested in reading here. Knowledge is everything.

Not my normal B&N. Ordered a book online and had a quick and easy pick-up. The doors not being open going to the garage was a slight inconvenience.

Not sure why bookstores are even a thing anymore. I mean, with digital and online, why bother? The books in the store are overpriced and they need to use up valuable natural resources to bind and print them. If youre looking for atmosphere and ambiance, go to your local library. Youll save money and contribute to your local community. Sorry B&N, sometimes the internet and online makes things better. Time to go the way of the dodo.

We love bookstores,we usually go to used stores, but this one is cool for new. We get our Mad Lib books here. They have great bargain books. They have the BOB books here.

It could have a better selection of books and I believe covid has contributed to that due to the fact not a lot of people are able to afford buying books for pleasure plus I have been able to find most of the books I like for free online other than the obvious undercover lost prevention officers that should really work on their craft they have great staff that are considerate, helpful, and respectful and wi take the time to help you find the perfect choice for you to take home

I have always liked this place, its very clean and well organized and the staff are always pleased to help you find whatever it is that you need on whatever subjects you need ! Kudos to Barnes & Noble!

Today staff at this location made me feel so uncomfortable. Not only did security come ask me what I was looking for, I was followed through the store, and eyed when I was leaving. I have no idea what I was doing to make anyone suspicious. Just looked at a few books in a few sections like any normal person. I couldnt get out of there fast enough once I realized this man was following me. And no, I didnt purchase anything.

Ive been looking for a book and found it with my own resources. Staff helped, but didnt go above and beyond. Not irked; I didnt give them much to go on! Book is fantastic, but Ill try to buy from a local store next times.

Its not that I dont read books or anything like that its more so because the Starbucks inside of the Barnes & Noble is not really a Starbucks it is but its not because you cant actually use reward points at that Starbucks.

I usually dont buy that many physical books anymore when you can get them digitally, but when I stopped by this Barnes & Noble, I ended up getting an armful of books. Not all of the prices were great, but they did have a great selection and plenty of deals if you are looking for one. Now that seems like plenty of reason enough but I also think that a place that promotes community reading is worth our support too. Its a tough world to sell a hands on book these days.

You want the books, come gettem. They always have something for everyone. For me it was Deadpool and Hellboy comic books.

Very clean and very organized. The starbucks is also a plus. Staff is friendly and will answer any question you may have.

I got a copy of the TORH. Never regreted trading my Nintendo switch for it. Books are invaluable. Priceless. Ill be picking up another book soon.

Great place for books and music. The Starbucks, however, isnt a real Starbucks. They dont take points or use the app at all. And their selection of adult coloring books was pretty slim. But helpful sales associates and nice location.

They have books for kids in Spanish! So useful.

A zoo on the weekends, I was informed by staff, to stop in the middle of week...going back, lov my calendars I bought. Goats in the trees is what I gave my friends lots of chuckles. Worth the $14.95 + tax. Maybe by now cheaper, who knows. To me it was a new adventure, you love calendars, puzzles & books a neat place to go & browse. ALSO, a coffee shop to read your new book by....have fun!!!👍

Barnes and Noble is such an amazing book store and since I am a book nut, I could spent my entire day in there. Even if you dont enjoy books all that much, there is plenty of other activities to keep you occupied! Love the aura there!

Love this place. Great for a peaceful moment to relax and study, read or listen to music. Find your zen. Great cookies from the cheese cake factory. My personal favorite is the Reeses one. Coffee is Starbucks franchise. The cafe employees are always awesome at this location and even tho most are students still they stick around for awhile. I have got to know few of them over the last year and they are exceptional workers. Great Barnes and Noble reward program especially if you use the cafe daily for professional paperwork like myself. Annual small fee and a good daily discount on all purchases. Just a little help for this interested I did the math and the membership pays off if you swing by 4 or more times a month, so make it your daily coffee spot you can always get it to go ;)

Easy access, a little hard to navigate but that may also be due to the sales (Christmas items). Typical coffee shop attached which is always great. I can say the staff was really nice. Two or three of them asked if I needed help after watching me walk back and forth several times. Overall, pleasant!

I go into here at least once a week for beverages and or books. The staff over 12 years has always been super child friendly. The battle of the books teams there tonight were charming. I wish my kids school was doing that. Love the free parking. Nice effort to have local events.

I have had pretty bad luck with this place. The last two times I tried to find a book here, I ended up having to cross the bridge and go to Powells. Having said that, its a convenient location with a really friendly staff.
