First time sailor, took ASA 101 with Passion Yachts in Portland, amazing experience. Just finished ASA 103/104 Combo with them in the San Juans and the 4 different instructors Ive met, were all amazing and challenged the groups just enough to really drive learning.Not to mention the experiences were amazing and they prepare you to start sailing!

Posting this personal review on behalf of my in-laws who reside in Happy Valley, Oregon, per their request.We owned a 45 year old 36 sailboat without a working engine.It was time to let it go and we put it in the hands of  Mike Fitz-Hugh at Passion Yachts to find a buyer. Michael Taylor also worked on it. Finally an offer was made and the boat was sold.  This sailboat was not going to earn a big commission, but they worked on it like it would.Michael Taylor stayed in constant touch with us and steered us through any rough waters.No praise is too high for these fine men who operate with such fairness and high integrity.It gives them great pleasure to make two people happy--the buyer and the seller.We couldnt be happier. Highly recommend Passion Yachts sailing courses. Jenn was my instructor, and she was exceptional. Jenn brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to the course, but made the overall experience lively and fun. I happened to meet one of the other instructors and believe he would make an outstanding teacher as well. I noticed the owner was involved and hands-on. Not only will I take additional courses here, based on what I observed about the owner, I would use Passion as my broker as well.

My wife and I had a great time in the ASA 101 Basic Keelboat class. Neither one of us had any sailing experience going into it, but left feeling confident in our ability to handle a small sailboat on our own. We cant wait to come back for the ASA 103 and ASA 104 classes!

Passion Yachts has the best sales team and ASA sailing school, not to mention their ASA instructors are absolutely fabulous! I just want to thank everyone at PY for always being so nice and professional! You are all awesome! Keep up the hard work.

Ive purchased and sold through Passion Yachts in the past and have been back in the market for the last few months. Ive looked a many brokers and their inventory, but always come back to Passion Yachts... great selection, knowledge and most of all, I trust Mike and the crew! I recently took a weekend workshop with Passion Yachts through their ASA Certified Sailing School. What a fantastic experience!My background - Im a 3rd generation boater and 1st generation sailor. Ive sailed casually in San Diego, and had spent 3 years working as professional crew on board mega yachts around the world. Ive been in Portland for 3 years now and have had a hard time finding a way to connect with the sailing community. A few months ago I took a a brief sailing course with another local company and it was all around terrible. I left feeling very discouraged...My experience with Passion Yachts - I sent an email inquiring about the 101 course and Jenn eagerly called me back to answer my questions (and I had a lot!). She was awesome - super friendly, full of enthusiasm and very encouraging. In all honesty, if I hadnt had that great conversation with Jenn, Im not certain I would have moved forward with the course. That said, thank you to Jenn for getting my butt into the class! I seriously couldnt be more grateful.The class - Captain Mary Schuck is amazing! She has a plethora of knowledge that she is eager to share. Mary is incredibly inspiring and has a passion and for sailing that is absolutely contagious. She is patient, kind and great at breaking down the answers to any question you might have. I left the classroom feeling very confident getting on to the water. Luckily, we had a gorgeous Sunday sailing experience, so we were able to do all of the drills we reviewed in the text and it was a fabulous day.I highly recommend Passion Yachts! My only regret is that I wish I found Passion Yachts sooner, as the season is now coming to an end. However, I will absolutely be back for several more courses to come this spring. Thanks for being awesome!
