Josh and Dustin were great, service was beyond our expectations. They were on point all the way through the process getting new mats measured, ordered and installed. This has been by far the best experience in updating our boat, they were a breath of fresh air. It’s nice to know there are people out there who care about giving there customers good service. Top flight pros. 20 years ago they made a sail cover. Recently the zipper broke. Warranty long expired. They repaired it for free, cheerfully, and it took them a few minutes.

Hayden Island Canvas fabricated a dodger for our wood runabout boat. We had done an extensive search of the other boat canvas shops in town and we were left disappointed because we were unsure if the other shops could deliver on what we wanted. We even made an appointment with another shop and after waiting 6 weeks for our slot we were turned back in their parking lot on the day of the appointment. We were very specific that we wanted our dodger to have a stand alone windshield, removable sides, and a convertible top that folded back 50% without limiting the view over the dodger or through the windshield. That’s when we called Josh at Hayden Island Canvas. From out first meeting forward, we were confident that he had the level of professionalism and experience to design our dodger. When finished the dodger was absolutely perfect and performed even better than we ever expected. Josh at Hayden Island Canvas is a miracle worker! I had contacted other shops about installing a bimini on my 1950s wooden boat, but needed a custom job as I didnt want to drill into the mahogany deck. Other shops said they werent interested, one recommended Hayden Island Canvas, and the rest is history! Josh embraced the challenge, took time to understand what I was trying to accomplish, and worked with me to come up with a novel design. The results are tremendous!It looks great, works great, is the perfect size, perfect height, and is super rigid, but is also easy to adjust for travel and when needing extra room in the boat. After other canvas shops tuned us down telling us there was no way to fix it without completely replacing the canvas, Hayden Island Canvas had the answer. Our Pop-up tent camper canvas seal was 22years old and easily breaking off while the canvas was still in great condition! Hayden Island Canvas helped us find the replacement seal ~$100 and Labor $125 to sew it on! They, by far, had the most professionalism and knowledge base to fix our problem. They saved us from buying a whole new canvas and offered tips to help our 22yr old canvas last longer. I highly recommend them over any canvas repair shop in the PNW!

Remember the saying, You get what you pay for? Well, sometimes you get more than what you pay for! After taking bids from three local canvas companies in Portland, Oregon we decided to go with Hayden Island Canvas. And we couldnt be happier with our choice. The owner Greg and business partner Josh provide customers with good, better, or best options for marine canvas and marine stainless projects. (They also have a very busy industrial canvas side to their business.) Even if a customer has budget constraints and selects less expensive materials, all the workmanship produced by their shop is top notch. We chose to go with the best quality. We had no idea there were so many choices of vinyl windows, threads, canvas, styles, and design. Both Josh and Greg have exceptional customer service skills and were very patient explaining our options (and costs) to us. On top of it all, they did what they said they would do, met deadlines, and were just a joy to do business with.
