I bought a mountain bike but it was shipped to the store with the wrong fork. This shop handled the situation with professionalism and kept me in the loop with what was going on. They had to find another fork since the bike company was unable to fix the solution in a timely manner, going above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommend, they treat their customers great (including newer ones like me). I love the bike after having it for a few months now.

Gladys Bikes has the most approachable, knowledgable and hard-working staff. The Saddle Library will LITERALLY save your ass. The bike selection is great for folx on the smaller size, but the staff is always willing to order in for you. Talk to them about your custom bike projects (!!) and schedule your bike fit. If you are unsure of where to start, stop in and say hello! There seems to be no shortage of snacks in this place. Everyone is welcome, wanted and needed here. Proud to be a customer here.

I used the Saddle Library to decide what saddle I would like to purchase. this is a wonderful service, as finding a comfortable saddle can be very difficult, and over my many years of riding, Ive found it quite a challenge. When I found my dream saddle, sadly, it was a product of Italy, and backordered for 2 months. I was waiting about 3 weeks, when Cassandra reached out to me letting me know that the saddle I wanted was on sale and available at another bike shop in town and that Gladyss price minus the Saddle Library fee I had paid was the same as the sale price at the other shop. So I bought it at the other shop so I could have it the next day and not wait another 2 months. Cassandra didnt have to tell me about the other opportunity, as it cost Gladys business, but she did, knowing how long I would have to be tortured by my current bike saddle!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will return to Gladys for their excellent customer service and caring about their customers. They are my kind of bike shop! This review comes up as written by my husband, but it is written by me, Kari Freeman.

I had a wonderful experience today at Gladys Bikes, as I scheduled a bike fitting (new road bike, doing Cycle Oregon for 1st time). I met Natalie at the store, and she was so extremely patient, kind, knowledgeable and helpful. We spent 2+ hours working the nuances of a bike fitting, and Natalie did an awesome job explaining everything, as well as making a few changes that will help my fit and feel of my new bike. She teams with Mollie, who I met and also seems extremely knowledgeable for her clients. The entire team was very gracious, I cant recommend them enough for a bike or bike fitting. Truly great service today!

Just had a bike fitting with Mollie - I was totally blown away. The accuracy and insightfulness of their suggestions for adjustments were instantly noticeable. Riding home, my bike felt exactly like Ive wanted it to feel for months (years?) but have never known how to dial in myself. I dont know how to describe it other than my bike just felt more natural while riding than it ever has. Also, very friendly vibes from all staff. Nice to know I can return for free adjustments if needed for half a year. Also should note: I have a fairly basic commuter style bike. I was pretty nervous about the fitting, thinking my bike wasnt professional enough to deserve it, but everyone was completely unpretentious and made me feel welcome and happy with my bike.

My niece and I walked in during the busy bike shop summertime, and Mollie dropped everything she was doing and spent as much time as my niece needed to find a saddle that would work for her. Theyre a shop that stands out in a town with a lot of competition. I wont hesitate to come back again!

Fantastic local bike shop! They want to get you on a bike and loving it. Their products are especially selected for their quality. They work hard in making you happy on your bike so that you can put on the miles. Other bike shops in Portland feel like a QBP big box shop where as they really talk to you about your riding style and what work and doesnt work. They truly specialize in Saddles. I participated in a saddle speed date recently and Leah (who might always be working!) helped w to find the right saddle. I love chugging thoughtless miles and Ive biked a few centuries and a few tours (Pacific Coast Highway, C&O trail...) so Im not new to biking or bike shops. Nonetheless I was blown away by how phenomenal she was on talking me through seat mechanics that you could tell that she had tons of experience. She nailed the saddle on the other person participating on the first go. I love the passion they have for biking! I would happily recommend to any one looking for the right fit in a bike.

I love this shop! I came in looking for a bike that would keep me sitting upright so I can comfortably ride throughout my pregnancy this time around. Even on a busy day I had great help. What a positive experience from start to finish! Was looking for a Mt Bike for my Wife. Tried a few of the bikes shops on my side of the river in Vancouver, but none of the small Mens bike frames were a great fit for my Wife (Shes 5 6 tall, 135lbs).Gladys bike shop carrys women-specific high quality bikes. After a few friendly test rides, my Wife bought her forever bike, a full suspension 27.5 Liv Intrigue Advanced 2.I had my Wife and 10yr old Son with me. The ladies in the shop were friendly, extremely professional, patient, and very knowledgeable. Ive been riding for decades, but never took the time to learn all the bike lingo & terminology. They never made me feel stupid for asking silly questions that I should already know, they answered all of my questions in stride with a smile and explained everything in detail.Great vibe, very fair prices, 5 stars all day!

I received a $50 basic comfort fit with Stephanie, and it was one of the best bike shop experiences Ive ever had. Stephanie was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, and passionate about fitting my needs as a commuting/touring bike rider. She went above and beyond my expectations! I was also very grateful that they include evening time slots for bike fit consultations, which worked well with my traditional work schedule. This bike fit is excellent for anyone who is an avid commuter or touring biker and needs a second opinion on their setup or some feedback on fitting styles. Id more strongly recommend the next-step-up bike fit ($120) for individuals who are completely in-the-dark and dont know where to start. Never did I feel intimidated, overly-solicited, or belittled, which are regular anxieties for me going into new bike shops. Stephanie (and other Gladys fitters, Im sure) is exceptionally approachable and amicable, helping make this experience a truly positive one.I will make sure to revisit Gladys on a regular occasion and support this fantastic local business!

I had a bike fitting through Gladys Bikes. Natalie and Susan were professional: they didnt make me feel embarrassed that I have been riding around Portland for 18 years on the wrong bike set up; or that I dont stretch enough. They explained why my bike needed to be changed and guaranteed that if I didnt like it they would work with me to make it right. They also gave me a choice of changing everything at once (which can be an financial investment) or making a priority of what I could afford. I choose not to change my handlebars at that time. I have been riding around and now completely am sold on getting new handlebars because of the alignment of my hands.I also appreciate Leah, the wonderful owner. She is helpful and makes you feel comfortable in her shop. You can ask her any question without feeling shy about not knowing the right terms to use. I love that there is a woman-specific bike shop in town.
