We were away when the sofa was ready for delivery so it was held until we returned to the state. The couch came wrinkled on both cushions and the back pillows. One cushion is bowed. It does not represent the quality that one would expect of Ethan Allen. We worked with the local store and gave them pictures that clearly show the flaw. The manager that the pictures were forwarded to said they are comfort wrinkles that will eventually relax. Its been 4 weeks and NOTHING has relaxed. The sofa looks just as bad as it looked the day of delivery and this is unacceptable. You would think Ethan Allen would care about the quality of their products. The sofa looks like we got it at Bobs Furniture Store. My husband said we might as well have gone there. I am disappointed to say the least. Is this an example of pride you have in your in products? I dont think so. Make it right Ethan Allen..

Sales folks in Portland, delivery guys all exceptional. Quality of the bedroom set is very good and a great value.

Currently I am working on my third project with Ethan Allen in Portland and they always do such a great job! I work directly with Julie & Heather and they are amazing at both conceptualizing larger cohesive projects and creating unique and exciting individual rooms and spaces. As far as the products, the quality is top notch and everything I have ordered has been delivered on time. I couldnt be happier with Ethan Allen and their Portland design center, and I highly recommend them whether you are looking for just one piece of furniture or looking to do a large residential or commercial design project.

My sofa was broken when it arrived - one leg completely broken off before it left the truck. The delivery guys were throwing the pillows and cushions on the dirty floor of the delivery truck. Not impressed by the delivery group - very poor - will cost Ethan Allen in damages and lost customers.

Our experience purchasing a sofa at Ethan Allen Portland was outstanding. Staff members answered all our questions and helped us select a sofa that that looks beautiful in our family room. The experience of working with them was a pleasure from beginning to end.

In search of a new sofa, we toured many of the furniture stores in the Portland area and saw many interesting pieces and prices. When we visited Ethan Allen our search came to an end. Here we found the right combination of beautiful products, knowledgeable and patient staff, and pricing that made sense to us. We placed our order, a sofa and chair, which arrived ahead of schedule.

I had several rooms to furnish, and after an unsuccessful experience with a local decorating shop I tried Ethan Allen, where I ended up working with Jeannine. From start to finish the experience was a joy. Jeannine listened to me and respected my ideas and preferences, but she also knew when and how to encourage me to try something different. She showed me how different fabrics complement different pieces of furniture, and then combined them to make a cohesive room. From color, to texture, to scale - the results are beautiful and exactly convey the mood I was hoping to achieve.Ive long been a fan of Ethan Allen furniture because it comes in a variety of styles that mix together well, and its comfortable. The Portland store is a particularly welcoming and positive place. Im happy to recommend them highly.

We have a unique living room and for years have tried to figure out what would look great and how to make good use of the space. We went to Ethan Allen because we had purchased furniture from them in the past and were very pleased. We cannot speak highly enough of Jeannine who worked so patiently with us to get it right. She had a wonderful approach, made fabulous suggestions and she did a terrific job helping us select all of the furniture and the carpet. Jeannine listened and incorporated our ideas but also provided solutions that we would never have been able to come up with on our own. We just love the pieces we have purchased and are thrilled with the color palette that she recommended.

When I walked in I had only the vaguest idea of what I wanted. Jeannine was a real pro and through a series of questions got me to the items that I needed. The whole process was easy, even selecting fabric. When I saw all the fabric choices, I was overwhelmed. Again Jeannine asked some questions, showed me some suggested fabrics, and using my feedback got me to the perfect choice for me. I feel very good about my order and would definitely go back to Ethan Allen and Jeannine for future needs.

Heather and Julie in the Portland design center were extremely helpful in turning a vision to reality at a hospitality property I purchased recently. They are both very creative and so much fun to work with!

I always felt Ethan & Allen to was too high end for me. I warned my husband before we entered the store that the staff would probably not acknowledge us. Much to my surprise Allyssa was so warm and friendly. She guided us through the entire process, the right size couch, color and fabric. We are more than pleased with our purchase. She also came to our home to inspect the couch, also gave me some great decorating tips and ideas! Thank you Allyssa!

Delays, delays, delays. Ethan Allen, working with hand tools in 1780, could have produced furniture faster than these guys. And certainly there would have been more commitment and integrity around the expected delivery date. Our stuff was promised in late October, then late November, now its late December. No explanation why the delays happened, and I had to call to learn about the problems in the first place. Inexcusable treatment for such a expensive company. In-store design service has been good, but in terms of delivery, Ethan Allen needs to understand what it means to operate in the 21st century retail economy, where a four to five month wait and continual. last minute delays are going to make you lunchmeat for some nimble, young-thinking company. Maybe that company is out there already. If so, let me know!

I want to share an unpleasant experience I had with EA. A few years back we bought $ 36,000 worth of shade products from them, and now that I need a replacement motor for one of the shades they said they could not help me. I was advised to go to Hunter Douglas (the manufacturer of the product - who I contacted already and who told me to go and contact the dealer I bought the product from) Neither of these two companies seem to care. When I asked to be transferred to an operational person the Lady I spoke with hung up on me. I am deeply dissatisfied with this attitude and will make sure never to set foot in their store again. Before buying from them, think twice, especially when its expensive and may require replacement parts down the road. The one star is for them being in the Yellow pages but not for any other demonstrated qualities.
