Got some of their recommended soil mix for planters and raised beds. it is utterly terrible. water pools on top for 20+ minutes without draining at all. It is also twice as heavy as every other landscaping companies dirt due to being clearly just sand and clay with a small bit of bark mixed in. Tried to talk to the owner but he wanted no part of it, so now were here leaving a review. If you willingly mislead your customers into paying for something that youve misrepresented like this, then you need to be put out of business.In addition, they have a truck with half the capacity of other soil/bark dust companies, but they *ALSO* wont waive subsequent delivery fees even if you (like me) literally live around the block from their property. Its really not my fault you decided to buy the little truck. Follow up delivery I ordered from another company btw simply waived delivery fee because I ordered a full (15 yards) full of stuff. Its not that difficult to be an upstanding business. You should try it?Oh yeah, delivery from these crooks was a day late too, after being told it would show up AHEAD of schedule. I kept my driveway clear for a week, anticipating the early delivery you promised, then you were a day late. So, you not only charged me for and delivered something useless, but you also couldnt even do it on time. good grief.What a joke. Please take your money elsewhere.

Worst service ever. I called them to deliver soil and mulch. I live in Portland. The day they promised to deliver I called them to make sure what time. Turns out they will not deliver to my area and told me a temporary employee did not got my phone number to call me back and inform me. I have guys coming over to do the work in the garden tomorrow guess I also will need to cancel that. They could not make an exception they only deliver to NW Portland I literally live across the bridge. Thanks for the crapy service!

Convenient source of landscape supplies. Kurt and his Dad are always nice despite my small 1/4 ton trailer and requests for small quantities of sand and gravel that are within my weight limits. They appear to accommodate customers looking for even smaller quantities who can only haul bucket quantities. A real Cedar Mill original. Very happy to give them my business.

I love this place and the guy that owns it. He is always so nice and chipper. The place is pretty organized and they have almost everything you need. They keep the garden dirt inside so it never gets nutty or to heavy when they dump it on your truck. I enjoy coming here every year but if you were to call they usually dont pick up the phone its better just to go there in person if you live close by

Run by idiots. I called for delivery gave them my address and they said theyd charge $70 for delivery and it was one week out. I agreed. One week later on the scheduled delivery day they call me and tell me they cant deliver to my address. Pure stupidity, I will never buy anything from this company. There prices are also double compared to nearby landscaping companies.

I needed some rock material for a wall base. They loaded the material carefully and got us on our way. Price was right, too.

Kurt and Ken are extremely friendly. I went to CML to buy gravel for my Eagle Scout Project to be done at Sunset High School and I was immediately given a 50% discount. When delivered, there was not too little and not too much. Great business, I recommend to anyone who wants local, cheap material.

Perhaps I havent checked everywhere, but this place had the best prices for whatever I was ordering. There is probably some limit where one company becomes cheaper, but the guys here seem to always be hooking me up. I ordered 7 yards of gravel and they didnt charge me the full amount and i didnt have a delivery fee. I decided id order some top soil from them, and I think ill keep ordering from them when every I need anything. Their service is fast and friendly. The main phone number even goes to the owners cell phone so if it is after hours hell just ask you to call back in the morning.
