Of all the things my youngest son could have asked for for his birthday, he wanted...a disco ball.I had questions.The first question, WHY the hell does he want a disco ball?, was immediately followed up with...WHERE the hell am I going to get a disco ball?!Fortunately, Lippmans jumped immediately to mind. If anyone was going to come through with a random, off-season party accessory, it would be Lippmans. And you know what? I was correct. Comically correct, actually. Not only did they have several disco balls (and motors!) in various sizes, ranging from Christmas ornament to Death Star, some of which *were sold out*, they literally had a hand-written list of disco ball sizes and prices taped to their register. The hell? Did I somehow wander into a time portal and end up back in the 1970s? Are there that many people looking for disco balls, on a regular basis?!As an added bonus, Lippmans offers far more than just disco balls. Its a full service, year round party warehouse, selling everything from costumes and wigs, accessories, props, toys, party favors and paraphernalia, decorations, and balooons, Balloons, BALLOONS! Its like a year round Spirit Halloween, without the slightly melancholy feeling of trudging through the gutted husk of another business, dodging swarms of children rubbing their filthy hands and faces on every mask and prop within line of sight. Oh, and their employees are competent, friendly and actually helpful.Occasionally, Lippmans can feel a bit empty, usually in the wake of a major party holiday (Christmas, New Years, Independence Day, Halloween, etc), as they restock and prepare for the next major event. But in all of my visits here, I have never left without whatever item I came for, or at the very least, a helpful suggestion on where to find it.So the next time your five year old hits you with a bizarre request for his birthday, regardless of the season, Lippmans has your back. We may be living in Clown World these days, but at least I know where to buy the uniform.

This place is a little hidden but well worth the fine. This is a year-round Party Store so you can be sure to find anything you need for any party occasion. We had a random Pokemon birthday party in the middle of April and were surprisingly able to find just what we needed. Special effects makeup, silicone masks, Giant costumes, inflatable costumes, hats, party streamers, balloons, and pretty much anything else you can think to need for parties!

I came in to decide what color combination for the balloons I wanted and it was great they have a large section where you can blow them up yourself and decide, that was very helpful. So when i needed my balloons I called in my order, told them what time I was picking up and it was that easy. Great staff, great store, made my visits very pleasant.

This is such a great party store. They change it up for every holiday. Its fun to walk there on my lunch break and wander through the store. Every thing you need from plates, cards, rentals, costumes and gag gifts.

Wall to wall party supplies, costumes galore and everything else you need to do your events and parties up right.. ohh yeah and they have a balloon room!

In the struggle to find a Halloween costume, this place was a blessing- they had 90% of the stuff I wanted, whereas most thrift stores and the like I visited were useless.

This place has everything you could possibly want for party favors/decorations. The entire staff is also incredibly nice and patient, and just generally excellent.

Love coming here to find fun decor and get an assortment of balloons. They have all the mylar/foil type letter and number balloons with the option to blow up in helium or air. I found this awesome excavator balloon for my 3rd year old sons birthday. Definitely come here for the wide variety of balloons and decorations to make your celebration lively!

Great place for party supplies. They have a decent mix of adult and child themed products. They dont really do brand name type items (disney, etc). But a lot of cool themes, goodie bag stuff, balloons, decorations, costumes, novelties. Definitely worth checking out when planning a party.

Never been before, but the employees are stupendous! So helpful, and friendly. Bought some helium balloons and they were super at showing off the various balloons and their patterns. Huge selection, and they had everything I needed.

Very kind staff and good customer service. We rented a helium tank for years from them at my work. Will definitely use them in the future.

I inquired about purchasing a disco ball and the different options the employee said they were very busy but was getting frustrated at my detailed questions about my inquiry and instead of being courteous she hung up on me out of nowhere.Called back and spoke to one of their lead workers who is not a manager and the employee only defended the coworker and did not even validate or qualify my concerns over it. Regardless of how busy you are you don’t treat a potential paying customer that way… That’s just bad business.I will not be doing business with your company and I will tell everyone I know how poor your customer service is.

A hidden gem of a party store with a little bit of everything

Lippman Co is a great place to get party or holiday decorations. They have costumes year round and a big variety of balloons. Lots of little toys that would make great kids party favors.

Go to shop for all holiday and party things.My Halloween shopping is done every year here.

Best shop of its kind in town. Mostly tasteful, with a more secluded aisle for adult costumes. Plus fun props and toys. I got a great deerstalker here that I can where everyday, and do.

Amazing atmosphere, amazing staff, amazing selection and good prices. I would recommend anyone looking for party supplies to go here first. I wish I could give more then 5 stars but its a 10/10 in my book.

Super nice people! Stopped in for some duct tape (they have a selection of decorative tape) and the woman behind the counter was very helpful. This place is huge - Id be amazed if they didnt have whatever you needed for a party.

Lippmans is a great shop to pick up costuming supplies locally. I often shop here for my theatrical needs. The only downside is their selection is somewhat limited.

Amy helped me with my party needs for a grand reopening of a store! I was in a pinch and she was absolutely amazing in helping me find what I needed to make my party a success. I only met Amy but if the rest of the staff are even half as friendly as she was I would recommend them, without hesitation, to anyone looking to throw the shin dig of a lifetime!

Iconic party supply store with a large variety of party supplies and balloons. Lots of hidden treasures. One of the few places we have ways been able to rent helium tanks (and at a reasonable price even). That alone makes it well worth the trek to Southeast Portland.

I love any place where costumes and makeup are available year round. Nice party store, convenient location but beware the stairs to the bus stop- their no fun, pretty steep. One of my first stops for party supplies. Design any event you want any time of year and always be prepared.

Selection is always great, and customer service is always horrible. I don’t understand the dynamic of not treating customers with basic retail etiquette. When you ask for help and a clerk has walked by you multiple times with zero acknowledgement, and when you ask for help their response is “yeah, you just needed to talk”. Lame.

Had 5 large balloons made for my wedding. They were ready for pick up and all looked even to another. Good customer service and they were priced very similarly to others, couple dollars less. Happy with my order and service. I would recommend and use again.

I absolutely adore this place. Its seriously crazy affordable and ALWAYS a blast. I get all my wacky tights and thigh highs here for a fraction of the price they charge at trendy shops on Hawthorne. Wouldnt even dream of going anywhere else for Halloween. This place is the bees knees.

A real treat. Way down in the Central Eastside Industrial District. Everything and anything you can imagine for any theme of party, celebration, or prom. Takes school purchase orders. An unbelievable balloon room. You cant believe how many colors are available in balloons that can be purchased by the item or in bulk. Nice, friendly, helpful staff that knows their vast inventory.

The party store for any possible item you need for any type of event. Parking can be a little tricky mid day, so go when they open and you’ll be in and out quickly with the handful of parking spots in front of the building.

I was referred to Lippmans by, Kayla at Embassy Suites, who was the catering manager for our daughters party at Embassy last week. I was really impressed with all that Lippmans has to offer. The staff was friendly and helpful, over the phone and in-person. I will definitely be using their services again!

I hadnt been inside since they relocated, but Im glad I checked it out. They have a lot more room, and they make excellent use of it. Party supplies and Halloween costumes are available year-round, as well as some furry supplies.

This place is great. Locally owned party store that has a way better selection of costumes and decor than any corporate party store. The prices are totally reasonable as well. They also rent larger party items as well, so you can have that amazing tiki bar youve always dreamed of.

What I really appreciated is that they checked the string of lights I purchased to make sure they worked. Small yet significant and speaks to their integrity.

Awesome, Ive known of this place since I was a kid and have never went inside because I thought it was a warehouse or a manufacturer because of where its located down in the industrial area, but after a Google search of party supplies for my kids party, I checked it out. Wow! Year round costumes and massive party supplies for every conceivable theme you can muster! Its huge, and fido is welcomed with open arms, my big dog was loved loved love he will forever love the employees here. Massive balloons. ..can get a bit expensive. ...party favors by the bins. ..awesome....like I said can get expensive for sure adding all it up...but if you need to throw an impressive gathering and the dollar store wont do make the trip its awesome

Love this place. If youve ever wondered Where could I get... related to balloons or party decorations, you arent going to find it in Portland if you cant find it at Lippmans. Big cutouts, things to hang from the ceiling, floaties in the summer, random stuff for Halloween and themed parties, mini led lights (think for inside balloons), etc, its all there.

I go here for all my random Portland party needs. Bachelorette party? Theyve got you covered. Halloween? A massive collection of costumes. Balloons? I think theyve got an entire room devoted to them. Random glowsticks? Yep, theyve got those too. Super convenient place, and so glad its nice and centrally located!
