They wont try to get you to replace or fix anything that doesnt need it. We are glad to have a mechanic we can trust with our vehicles!

Holy cow! These guys beat and exceed every expectation! On a recent visit to deal with a headlight issue they not only fixed it, but fixed it again when I broke their fix! SUPER nice, fairly priced and always trying to make sure they treated me right. Will recommend without hesitation!

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at fair prices here. They’ve even helped me to save money on repairs that would have been needed soon. They don’t just tell you what needs to be done. They show you the parts and explain in simple terms what is going on with your car. I need to have a repair job done ASAP and I will be calling them hoping they can fit me in to their busy schedule.

I have used Hartman motors in the past and been very satisfied with them. However, my last experience with them was abysmal. My 750Li was overheating and shutting down. they put the computer on it to diagnose and replaced the oil level sensing device- no Joy. keeping it short, I spent over $1,000 dollars there and it still had the same problem. They were talking about replacing the fan unit for approx $800 or the computer for an ungodly amount. I had ask them about the thermostat but the Computer said it was OK. I took the car home and then to Tims automotive. They called the next day and said the engine gets hot but the radiator does not. the pulled the lower hose, took out the thermostat, and put the hose back on. Voila! bad thermostat! they didnt have to use a computer, they used mechanics know how.

They are our go to for our mini cooper. Excellent, quick service.

Took my vw twice within the last week. Twice they said they fixed it and 2 days later my car dies again. Ive paid them 400 dollars for nothing! And when I call to see if they will fix it and do an inspection on it, they still want to charge me more!!!!Update: I could smell burning coolant from a VERY hot engine. I checked on the coolant reservoir and it was overflowing. I siphoned some out to a lower level, let the car sit an extra half hour and it started up. The added coolant and temp gauge that was replaced was supposed to have fixed the overheating issue.. the sensor never went off but it was still over heating.

Over the course of many years weve taken two 3-Series BMWs to Mike and Pat for service and repair. These twin brothers run a clean shop and are always loaded with customers. Theyve fixed water pump, fuel pump, leaky head gasket, plugs and wires, and other miscellaneous items for us.Diagnosis has always been right the first time. Work has always been right the first time. Timeliness has been consistent and prices have been fair. Not the least expensive, but not the most expensive either. Ill take fair and competent over cheap and wrong anytime were talking about my vehicles.Thanks fellas. Keep up the good work.

I have been taking various Mercedes to Mike and Pat for many, many years. We started going to them when they were still downtown and were very happy when they moved to their new shop several years ago since it is less than 1/2 mile from my house. Their expertise and fair prices make continued Mercedes ownership feasible for us.

I had my first experience with Hartmann Motors today and it was great!! My 2005 Volvo was not turning over and several people (including AAA) were unable to resolve the issue. I received a call a few hours later that the issue was actually a popped fuse and I could come pick up my car. They even explained how it most likely happened and did not charge me for it.This is definitely the mechanic for me and my car, as Ive had enough from the dealers and chains telling me to replace my wipers and filter every time I come in for service. Its hard to find a place like this and Im glad we did.

Though weve had another mechanic do the majority of the work on our bimmers over the years, we have brought some things to Hartmann, as well. I cannot say enough good things about Hartmann... every time weve taken something to them, theyve diagnosed it right and fixed it right, the first time, every time. Had them do a valve cover gasket on our X3 a couple of weeks ago, spending far less than the repair of a whole new valve cover by our other guy. And just today. I dropped the X3 off for a misfire diagnosis. Didnt expect them to look at it until tomorrow, but I got a call saying it was just a loose coil and sensor, and that it was done and ready, no charge.Blown away at the great service here. You have a customer for life, Hartmann. Thank you for your honest business.

So far I am disappointed. I was hoping to find a better option for my car than the dealer.I brought my Audi here for the first time a few months ago for a simple oil change. The same day, after the oil change the oil pressure light came on for the first time ever. I took the car back to Hartmann and after keeping the car for 4 or 5 days without any communications they finally called me and said I needed a new oil pump. The person who called me told me it would be about $850 to replace it and that there were no aftermarket options on the pump and it would cost me $425 for the part itself. Later I found out that the OEM pump is available for under $300 from Amazon. So Hartmann put in the $425 dollar pump and then they charged me again for another oil change and filter even though I had less than 100 miles on the previous oil change and filter.Now, less than 100 miles later the car is burning oil and smoking after the car runs for 5-10 minutes. I just called Hartmann to tell them what is happening and they cant even look at it for over a week.So far I feel like I got a $1000 oil change that made my car much worse than before.

I was due for my first service on my 2018 glc300 and decided to shop it around to see if anyone could beat the high-cost dealership price. Hartmann got me right in and charged less than 1/2 what the dealership quoted me. They were very prompt, friendly and courteous. I will be using them again! Thx guys!

We found out about Hartmann motors after we purchased a car from Freeman Motors in SW Portland. Turns out, thats where Freeman sends their cars to get worked on. Ive known the owners Pat and Mike for over 20 years but just started driving a BMW a few years ago. Eventually my used car needed some work and I took it in to Hartmann. Wow! Theyre awesome. Now we have an Audi and a BMW and anytime they ever need fixed we always take them to Hartmann Motors.

If I could give 0 stars for this place I would!!! They have locked up early before 4th of July where people need their car. I showed up at 5:23pm and they are closed. It says Monday- Thursday 7:00Am to 5:30Pm. Mike knew I was going to be there after work and he didn’t even communicate that they were closing early. No sign or nothing!!! VERY INCONVENIENT!!!!!

I have been working with Pat and Mike for about 8 or 9 years now. They have worked on many of my cars, from MB to Audi and BMW and also my pickup as we are good customers. Always knowledgeable and courteous, they tell you the truth and dont try to upsell you on a bunch of unnecessary repairs. As far as I am concerned, never any need to visit the stealers with Hartmann Motors around.

Thought I was going in for a bum power steering pump, even let them know I thought that was the issue. Turned up to just be a pulley and two thirds cheaper than I planned. They are quick and honest!

These guys are great. They so what they say and inform you if its going to cost more then the estimate. They do a quality job on my Mercedes.

I cannot recommend Pat & Mike enough! I fallowed them for decades. They have fixed a hard to start diesel for $20. And fixed another car in their driveway in five minutes, after it stalled. They are honest and kind, these are getting to be qualities not as easy to find.So please call them and see.

Horrible customer service. They said I had to pay $480 to fix my car and at the end bumped up the price. Bad communication and high prices. I would never come back to this place. I won’t recommend this place to anyone.
