Been advised by my insurance company to bring my vehicle here for some body damage repairs. Came in to the location and had one of the employees start the paperwork. I was promised that the paperwork would be done and submitted by the end of the business day and I would receive email confirmation. Week later, I haven’t heard anything nor received any confirmation.Called the location and was told that they are busy, but my paperwork would be completed by the end of the day. Next day called again (since nothing was done the day before) and was told that they will take care of my paperwork first thing this morning. Day goes by and still nothing. Called the next day and they told me the same thing that my paperwork would be completed by the end of the day. Still, nothing happened again! I advised an associate that I have a deadline to submit the paperwork in a timely manner for the insurance company to get the repairs done. They advised me that they will try to get to it. I advised business that if that’s how they do business, I will have to take my business to a different shop. Didn’t hear from them since.Ended up bringing my vehicle to a different body shop and all required paperwork was completed within 24 hours as promised.Very poor customer service on business’ end and I WOULD NOT recommend this location to anyone needed repairs in a timely manner.

They did a great job on my car. I got two dents fixed as well as getting it painted. The paint looks great, inside and out, as if it came off the factory line that way. The dented areas now look perfect. I get compliments on the color pretty regularly.The staff was helpful and friendly. The cost for everything (paint & repair) was the same as the estimate I got somewhere else (in Beaverton) just for the dent repairs alone. I definitely recommend this place and will go there again for any future dent repairs or paint jobs.

Took my 1994 Mazda B3000 in because the clear coat from about an 8 years ago paint job was peeling badly and for me it makes more sense to fix up my 1994 Mazda B3000 as its mechanically sound. While I did have my issues with the completed work I still highly recommend going here. Im a picky person and want things a certain way. I think had I taken more time to go over the completed work with Lew he would have made it right, however I live 50 miles away so the issues I found Im fixing myself.

Lew is great! Very friendly and laid back. Seeing the cars coming out of their shop, the paint is flawless. For the amount of work my car needs, he gave me a very reasonable quote. I will book an appointment soon and post before and after photos!

11/10 WOULD RECOMMEND. I worked with Lew to restore my 1988 Pontiac Firebird Formula 350. It turned out better than I could have hoped for. I had a budget so I decided to cut some costs, we sanded down certain parts to bare metal and replaced some body parts. Wanted it to look brand new and the first time I stopped for gas someone thought it was actually new! Most other body shops wanted an arm and a leg and wouldnt work with me on affordability at all. This shop was different.I get great looks in this car that was once abandoned in a tow yard. Lew helped me figure out how to tackle this project within my budget like no other shop would. You always hear horror stories from Maaco for affordable paint jobs but every Maaco is different and Lew at his shop is a diamond in the rough. If anything looks off to you hell figure it out until youre a satisfied customer. Great to work with and sent me updates all along the way.I included the drastic before and after here! WOW.

I had them completely repaint and retrim my 2007 Dodge RAM. Using factory paint an clearcoat it came out absolutely like a brand new vehicle. There were a few little things to take care of and they were absolutely professional and handled them in no time. I had a hard time finding a shop that would do a complete repaint, but no need to look further; this is very professional work!

Exemplary customer service, good prices, and a fast turn around. The owner is a treasure. Highly recommended!

Spoke with Lew (sorry if misspelled) about doing a bunch of work on my Crown Victoria. I regularly take it off roading, so it has dents, scratches, more dents, etc. I wanted to repaint it from white to a battleship-grey color. He helped me understand the process and the pricing behind everything and was very easy to comprehend. He said it was okay for me to do it in stages, fix one dent and paint it, then do the next, etc. so I dont have to save up a ton of money all at once. I will definitely be coming back, and will update my review when the process is all started.

The reason I gave them 4 stars is because they called me and told me its all done. So I made arrangements to get there and when I get there. My vehi5had the paper still on it, bummer was still off. Plus a few other things. I just wasnt ready to go at that time.Also everytime I called to communicate with them I was always told that someone will call you back in 5 min. That never happened. The paint job itself was beautiful. I would just complain on SOME of the customer service.

In February 2020 me and my wife had been driving brand new car from San-Francisco, California to Fairbanks, Alaska. We got accident in North California. My wife was supper upset. I suggested to fix bumper in Portland, Oregon. Most terrible customer service and most terrible paint job ever done. The worker waited about a week to let me know it was finished and charged me $605 just for a front fender to be painted. Little realizing the next morning i woke up and realized the paint was so sensitive something hit it when driving on the way home from macco and caused a huge smear. There was also ripples before this in the new paint Went back the next day to ask for it to be repaired as he left me hanging around helping other customers then telling tried me im going to have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed. Worst paint jobs and would not go back there even if i had to.

Seek service elsewhere.What initially seemed like a nice group of guys with expertise in classic vehicles turned into a nightmare of no communication and terrible customer service.With an initial estimate of two weeks to paint the vehicle and do some repairs, I called to see when I could pick it up and was informed the work had not started, and the parts were not ordered. I had to call to find this out. I called again in another two weeks as was similarly informed.Again, I had to call to find out what was going on with my vehicle. When they finally told me it was ready to be picked up, Lew then texted me inform the work was not completely done and they were still waiting for parts. On the day they told me pick it up. He only reached out to tell me this after I contacted them.When I picked up the vehicle the paint was poorly buffed, incorrectly applied, there were fit and finish issues that had not been present before they got their hands on it, and there was tape left painted over in several places. In fact when I reviewed my issues with another mechanics, a retired paint tech, and several other enthusiasts, they all said comments along the lines of “Sloppy work. You get what you pay for.”But Lew’s shop is supposed to be the classic auto experts.After having this experience I reviewed the other 1 star reviews here and found that almost all of them were similar stories to mine.Whatever reputation for quality this shop used to have, something has changed, and drastically for the worse.They are nice enough guys at first, but don’t let that fool you into thinking they won’t jerk you around and mess up your vehicle.Avoid at all costs; seek work elsewhere.

I can’t say enough good things about this place!! I came in to get the hood of my car repainted, after needing to fix large pain chips on the hood of my car. Not only was it the best price by far I could find, the staff there was INCREDIBLY kind, professional, and shared tips and tricks to help keep my car in the best shape possible moving forward. Usually I expect delays in getting my car back when getting any type of repair, due to past experiences at other places, but at this location not only did I know my car would be taken care of, but I also got word my paint job was done early AND when I picked my car up, they had cleaned the outside of my car just because! My car looks beautiful and it was an overall extremely positive experience, would suggest coming here to anyone!! I can’t thank Lew and his staff enough for their great work and service!!

His prices are fair and he even gave me a little extra paint with a brush to touch up spots around the rest of the car. The work was completed the same day, I highly recommend Lew!

I came by to get an estimate on a dent repair for my car. Lew took his time with me, working through the various estimates and scenarios for the dent in my car. He assisted (at no charge) with sticker removal and provided great guidance! I will 100% be back and refer all friends to use Maaco!

My boyfriend and I visited Portland from Seattle for the first time and within an hour of arriving, someone hit our car. We went here and we were so happy when we left Portland. We gave them our car on Monday and they were able to fix the whole front of his car by Tuesday afternoon. They were so kind to squeeze us in so fast knowing we were only in Portland for a limited amount of days. The customer service was amazing and he made sure we were happy.

I brought my car in to Maaco because of a rear end accident. Lou was helpful with getting a rental car for me. My issue was with them not keeping to the commitment they make. After a month I was told by Lou it would be a few more days. After that I was told by a different employee it would be Saturday which it wasnt done so it ended up being the following week. Even then I was told by the end of the day but it hadnt been ready. This was all due to missing parts needed to complete the repair. There doesnt seem to be very much communication with the employees at their business. One of the times I called to find out the status the guy was really rude. This makes dealing with the aggravation of an accident worse. The only reason I am giving them ⭐⭐ is because the work they did was good. Otherwise it isnt worth it. Id rather go somewhere else where the process is much more smooth and I can relie on their integrity to follow through with what they say in a reasonable amount of time.My reply to the recent review of Maaco is simply this:I am disappointed in the lack of accountability and integrity of this establishment. I understand that they are running a business. To nickel and dime the work on my car is irresponsible. we didnt know we neede a part three times is unusual. Even though it was a substantial job it seems like it souldnt have taken over a month to complete. I had to go without a car longer than I needed to. I also had to pay insurance out of my own pocket. This added up and at a time when I had just been laid off because of the pandemic. There was hardly any communication. For example one employee would tell me one thing but another didnt seem like they knew anything about this. Expressing my concerns was lous interpretation of the challenge he had with my interactions with him. I am merely attempting to be helpful and to inform potential customers of my true experience. I would strongly advise someone thinking about using them take an oppertunity to consider other options. I dont beleive their needs to be anymore responses to my review.

Had a scratch on the tail gate of my brand new truck, went to this Macco to have it looked at and get a estimate on cost. They were very professional and explained everything they would need to do to get it looking brand new agin. Got a fair estimate and scheduled a appointment. Just picked my truck back up today, and they did great work. Can’t even tell that there was any damage to began with.

Lew and his team helped me with body work and paint for my Westfalia Camper Van. My van is old, had some minor rust spots and a few small dents. Lew advised me to have his team remove the windows, door handles, etc., repair the dents, paint the vehicle and he would replace the window seals, paint the door handles, wiper arms and anything else that needed to be refreshed. After the paint job Lew even helped me add a few decals that I had purchased. The job was completed on time and on budget. I had a good experience with Lew and his team and I recommend working with them.

Ive had two small dents and paint chips fixed by this Maaco. Consistently better prices and faster repair times than other auto body shops. Lew is a great guy and will make sure you understand how your car will be repaired.

All seemed great until pick up. I rescheduled for a day later than the car was ready. I confirmed ahead, indicating my approximate arrival time. When I showed up, at the time indicated, the pieces were not reassembled as I was told. The car needed a wash and decals. They also then quoted me for some of the work they already told me they had done. I can look past the extra hour delay, but telling me you did something that you didnt do and then asking me to pay more for the work you didnt do, at later date, is poor customer service. One star because they showed no interest in working with me to make these things right.To make this more constructive--these guys seem like nice folks. If they were more organized and communicated more clearly, we would have avoided much of the mess. If they showed a willingness to work with me after what had happened, this would be a much more positive review.

Had an incredible experience at this maaco. Lew and his daughter McKenzie were extremely helpful, and the rest of the staff there were super friendly and gave us a great price on a decent bit of work. I had needed the car for work and was surprised at the speed in which they were able to complete the job. The speed however, did not effect the outcome, as the car came out looking way beyond my expectations. Overall, I would highly recommend this Maaco to anyone looking for a dent repair or paint!

We had a customer who have been laid off due to the covid19 so I installed a new grill and hood when her Mazda WRX got crunched. Went in and talked to Lew who said in order to make the job look professional they would have to feather in the hood with both fenders.I told him about the customer situation and that we would just put up with whatever difference there was between the hood and the fenders.They got an excellent paint match and painted out the hood and two grow parts. A beautiful job and for an extremely fair price!

I picked up the car and noticed the windshield was cracked and Lew happily got it fixed the very next day within a couple of hours - quicker than he promised. I judge the customer service by the way customers are treated when things go wrong, and Lew exceeded all expectations and set a new example. Thank you, Lew!

Lew and his crew went ABOVE and BEYOND with the budget-oriented paint job for our food truck. We didnt know to expect and it was perfect! It looks so dang spiffy! Our 1986 Chevy was rusty and oxidized. They did a fantastic job on sanding, painting, and all in a timely fashion. Lew even gave us advice on how to properly paint the other oxidized parts of truck like the rims and exhaust pipe. I highly recommend these guys. We saved a good chunk of money and now can use it to start our business. We appreciate Lew and the crew!!!!

As a lot of previous reviews state, Lews customer service and detailed explanation of everything was incredible. The estimate was fair, and once I got the go ahead from my insurance, the repair only took two days. I will say that my car was a bit dusty on the inside and smelled strongly of paint, but that was to be expected. A simple interior cleaning at a local car wash helped with the dust, and the smell went away after a few days of driving around with the windows down. Car is like new, and the work done was superb. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family!

Be advised. The posted event which took place in regards to my 1991 honda accord ex was performed by the Marx Ave Portland Oregon Location. Not sure just how there turned out to be another Portland Oregon Location which turned out to be insulted. My apology.

Lew the owner is a gem. He took an unfortunate situation (damage to car) and poured some sunshine on it. He was personable, knowledgeable, and punctual. He alerted us every step of the way and made sure to get us our car back in half the time of the other quotes I received (also at half the price!). Needing to have work done to your car is never fun, but Lew made it much less painful.

Im so so so happy with my car, and I was completely shocked to pick it up beautifully cleaned. (I am a messy car person so that was a really pleasant suprise) I got into a fender bender and needed quite a few repairs. I am pleased with the work done to my car and the cost. At pickup it ended up costing the very close to the estimate given. The only thing that couldve improved my experience was the timeline however they seem to be at the mercy of the parts delivery people so I can understand the delay.

Lee went above and beyond in helping me understand what was wrong with my car after my accident, what needed to be replaced and what my expectations should be throughout the process. This being the first accident I had ever been in, he was extremely comforting and even walked me through the steps of how to deal with my insurance. I ended up going with a different auto body shop that was recommended by my insurance, just to make that aspect a little simpler, but I received MUCH better service from Maaco Autobody than any other place I took my car. If you’re looking for kind, nonjudgmental service this is where you should go!

I took my Audi A4 in for an estimate to get it painted to matte black. Immediately after setting foot inside the shop I was greeted by their exceptional employees. Lew (the owner) gave me a fast yet accurate estimate and a pretty sweet discounted deal considering they have cool discounts around late July-early August. The paint job took about two weeks to finish, but it came out amazing and even better it was finished on my birthday. You can tell that they really care about what they do as well as providing top notch customer service. If I could do it again, I would!

I would definitely recommend this place. Lew the owner took great care of me from the start. He was very friendly and made the whole process super easy. Brian was great too! I needed a minor paint scrape fixed on the rear bumper of my brand new jeep. He told me the job would take 2-3 days, and I got it back the same day I dropped it off, and they made it look like the scrape never happened. By doing the job so quick, I saved money on the rental car I had as well. Hopefully there wont be a next time, but if so, I will definitely go back to Maaco. Job well done!

Had my car painted by this shop. Honestly Im very happy with the work, considering what I paid. My car needed more than I can afford, but they worked with me to stay within my budget. There are a couple little issues Ive noticed so far, but it was sort of to be expected. My car looks %10,000 better than it did before.Now, their time estimates could use a bit of work. I was told itd be done on Friday, then Friday was moved to Wednesday, and then down to Monday, and then Tuesday, and then Wednesday again. I guess I would rather them not rush and take their time, so its not the worst. I wish they would over estimate instead of under promise. Either way, Im happy with the results and now I have to do more work to make the rest of the car look as good as the paint.

Lew and his team at Maaco did a spectacular repair and partial paint job on my 16 year old BMW. Thanks to Lou I got a repair that makes my car look like new at a price I could afford. Though the damage was minor the car risked being “totaled” by insurance, but I wanted to keep it. Brought in my black Sonata hybrid today to get some scratches buffed. Black is the most luxurious color/look on a car but requires the most maintenance. Painted my old 97 Ford Ranger. I was a pain about color choice. Very pleasant and patient owner just loved my dog. Arranged for LineX bed and chip coat on hood to be done at same time. Drove me home after I dropped the Ford off. Painted my grill and wiper arms black to look better with the LineX chip strip. Paint has held up pretty well. Some peel around windows covered by warranty. Lots of comments on how good this old truck looks.

So today I was driving downtown after work and someone side swiped me a little, so I had a tiny scuff that looked like ruined my paint. So i took it to this shop and a gentleman by the name of Lou was extremely helpful and beyond kind and went out of his way to make sure i was good and taken care of. I would recommend this shop over and over until i was blue in the face!

It has been a month now and he will not answer my phone calls, the office answers and then immediately hangs up. Honestly hes just a sad pathetic person and doesnt deserve your business.

Fantastic experience at Maaco! I recently had an accident in my 99 Toyota Corolla and the team at Maaco not only made my car look like new again, but they went above and beyond in their service as well. I was quickly given a fair quote the same day I called for an appointment, during the repair they texted me status updates and during the whole process they demonstrated a level of honesty and integrity that you dont often find in the world of car repair. I would recommend Lew and his entire team to anyone looking to have exemplary service, pricing, and quality of work.

One of the most straightforward, honest, reasonable auto body shops we’ve been to. We bought a used truck canopy that was functional but the clear coat was peeling. We got some outrageous quotes from other body shops except for Maaco and it came out looking brand spankin new!

Excellent work on a combo repaint of my hood and some line-x of heavy wear areas. Extremely satisfied for a much lower cost than other body shops. This work kept my 2002 vehicle looking new (and even better).

Lew was really great to work with! He explained everything to me with different price points for different services and helped me choose something within my budget.The only thing I was disappointed with was the inside of my car was a bit messy and I found the plastic emblum (the one that says Civic) sitting inside my trunk instead of stuck back on my car.Overall, I dont really care about the messiness because the service was superb.

I had the absolute best experience at Maaco this week! I had a scratch on the driver door of my car and took it in on Monday morning. Luke, the owner, greated me eagerly and assured me he could take care of my car. He told me it would only take an hour for him to do so and he was totally right! He was done earlier than an hour and my car looked incredible. I had no idea he could fix my car so effectively and wonderfully so quickly! I will be referring all my friends to this auto body shop for their car needs!

The owner is super friendly and just a great guy overall. I came in, showed him my paint streak (no scratch) across the side of my car, he buffed it out and polished it up at no cost. Ill definitely come back next time I need a car repair!

Lou, the owner here was extremely helpful. I had cement on my car and he wiped it right off free of charge! Thanks Lou, I will definitely come back if I need to (hopefully I dont though, knock wood)

I brought my Mitsubishi into the Portland Maaco and worked with Lew. I got a paint job and some body work done and it looked excellent and the price wasnt bad either.About a week after I got my car back it got by another driver, so I took it back to Lew and he gave me a great deal. I would highly recommend going here for bodywork and especially if you need a new paint job. The customer service is great and Lew is awesome with returning customers!The only thing I would note is that, because theyre so busy, you should at least expect to wait awhile before he can see you right away. But believe me the wait is worth it! I love this place. I have three other vehicles and I plan to eventually get them all worked on at this shop at some point.

I had a fantastic experience here at Maaco. The owner, Lew, personally helped me figure out, item by item, how to make the repairs for our fender bender fit into our limited budget. Nathan in the office set up the rental car and I didnt have to do a thing. These guys were great and Im so glad I found Maaco Portland!

Lew and his team are amazing. They fit us in last minute, charged us a very reasonable price and, even though it was super busy when we stopped by, Lew spent at least ten minutes chatting with us about the process and our options. I would happily recommend their services to everyone I know.

From the time I talked to Brian and had an estimate for my Toyota my experience was pleasant and excellent. Everything was explained clearly and the work was great. Paid the same as the quote even though less work was done. The work also took longer than expected because the paint was the incorrect color the first time & although the correct information for the car was given I was accused that maybe I mixed it up with another car. This is the first negative review I have ever left.

Amazing paint job, the owner, Lew is a super nice guy. I did my own body work and wish I would have had them do it, the paint job was so amazing that I felt the sub par body work I did took away from the work they did. I WILL BE BACK! I had a great experience with Maaco. The owner Lew is a truly nice, personable man. I brought my car from Astoria, and they drove me to the bus station and picked me up when the car was ready.2 weeks later when I noticed a very light surface scratch, they put on a pinstripe to cover the scratch for free. The job was excellent, no overspray or anything. Dont spend 5000$ go to Maaco they will do just as good a job at a fraction of the price.Mike from Astoria

Excellent customer service! I normally dont leave reviews, but Lou was very friendly and helpful. My boyfriend and I took our Range Rover Sport in to get the decals done, not only did he offer a fair price, he also installed it within minutes and I was back on the road good people and great service!

Everyone at Maaco Portland was extremely courteous and professional. Im a bit of a perfectionist who had experienced poor customer service at a birmingham location. Josh and Lou were very understanding of my prior experience and put for considerable effort to make ensure my COMPLETE SATISFACTION. I am just awaiting final inspection of the vehicle, and Im sure the work will be impeccable. Look for a second review after I see the paint.....
