This place was a lot better when they had all the antique thingamajigs for sale alongside the newer modern items. Seems like they are trying to be fancy hipster honestly, and maybe the rich portland hipsters find what they want. But Ill choose hippo hardware over this place.
Personally, the espresso bar will be sorely missed, along with the wall-sized map of Portland in 1908. That is where the less well known Brushs Addition (not as famous as Ladds Addition) was delineated. (So there is a historic name for our neighborhood. Cool... There is definitely a more organized look to the retail floor, the Hardware Wall remains intact (thankfully), and there is now a marvelous indoor plant shop where the coffee shop used to be. I also found out that the corporate offices now occupy the second floor. Imagine that... For some reason I had thought that the company had been sold to a Midwest or East Coast conglomerate. Nope, theyre still local. Good all round, then.
Dont bothering ordering. after 2.5 months, they discontinued my items AND continued to put a hold on my card. incompetent all around.
I have put in a number of orders over the past months for items and have received exactly 3 out of the 8 items I ordered. When I emailed to ask about the remainder I received no response to my emails... Twice. Then I called customer service and was told that the reminder of the items are out of stock. But the items are still being sold on the website over 2 weeks after I placed my order! They say that their website just isnt quite up to date with in stock, but 2 weeks?! And the only response I got was... Im sorry for your inconvenience. After ignoring my emails now I have to delay my remodel and search for new fixtures at the last minute. I find it unacceptable for the website to be this far behind their in-stock and they certainly need to develop better solutions for their customers. I remember shopping at the Portland store 30 years ago with my parents and it was amazing and unique and now Im so disappointed.
I have to mentally prepare myself before shopping here. The staff never knows what the price of a sale item should be. The staff also seem annoyed with every customer. The tone customers are spoken to is condescending and doesn’t welcome questions. I’ve been given the wrong item a couple times and only realize this once I get home. Always check the box before you leave the store. Online codes don’t work when checking out in store. They have a beautiful product but you would think at this price point the backend inventory management system would be better. It looks like it’s from the 90’s.Update - they didnt put the order in correctly and I had to call customer service to ask for an update. To date I have never purchased something from Rejuvenation without having to follow up and call customer support. Terrible. Hopefully, I get the custom light I ordered. After this purchase Im done with this place.
Items are very nice, if pricy. However their return policy is atrocious. Wont return or even take store credit for custom lights that are obviously a standard item with a Williams-Sonoma installation manual. Dont be fooled by their posture that they are a local Portland business making custom lighting. They are a Williams-Sonoma subsidiary.
Having an old Portland home is a lot of work, but Rejuvenation takes the stress out of updating and keeping with the correct period of your home. The staff is seasoned and always friendly. The styles are timeless and fix what we already had in our home. And the idea that the light fixtures are made here in NW Portland makes me happy to be buying local.
Really disappointed in the customer service. Sadly I still love many of the products but half the time I dont actually receive them, so I cant justify purchasing from this company anymore.
A little spendy but they have great stuff!
Do not order online -- terrible experience. A month later havent received item--last update from UPS was 3 weeks ago. Rejuvenation customer service email does not respond---call generated no help, was referred back to UPS where its impossible to reach a live person--only the shipper can get info from them--which is rejuvenation. Meanwhile my project is being held up. Ive spend thousands here over the years--no more. Ill find and order this product elsewhere and meanwhile apparently Im out my $$. Extremely frustrating.
Received half my upper Lamp Post I ordered in (2) weeks. The lower post never arrived. No one at Rejuvenation had an answer for what happened to the rest of the order. Typical answer was Wait another week. After (2) months I tried to cancel the order. No one could give me confirmation that my order would be cancelled. Scary rude customer service. I dont think customer service could be any worse. So I did my home work. ordered lamp post components from Amazon, received the parts in under (4) days, and saved over $300.00. If you buy from Rejuvenation, I suggest you have your parts when you walk out of the store.
Modern and high quality furnishings and fixtures for your home. Staff is friendly and quick to answer any questions.
Excellent customer service! Very helpful & kind staff.
Love the attention to detail and to their unique offerings. Back in 1997 we purchased an Art Deco Lotus Isle 5-arm rich gilt/nickel chandelier for the dining room in our new house. Still beautiful and getting compliments.
Ordered a light fixture, the light fixture was missing a ground wire, was told it should have three wires and to return the fixture, received the replacement 7 weeks later and once again the fixture came with only two wires. If your going to charge a premium price for a simple metal light fixture it should have premium service. Every other light fixture in my home has three wires. Never sent a tracking number and very hard to track an order. Told I could not return the product even though the customer service representative told me it should have three wires.
Ive been going to Rejuvenation for years and remember it as a neat mix of antiques (doors, cabinets, bath tubs, lighting and accessories, mouldings/casings/baseboards, whatever you needed) and high quality reproduction lighting and hardware. I have one distinct memory as a small child of an employee giving me a glass crystal off of a chandelier that he was restoring on the third floor. We visited yesterday and all the character that made Rejuvenation special is gone. No more bathroom fixtures or big claw foot rubs waiting for restoration in the parking lot. No more antiques lined up in the outer storage bays or vintage doors neatly catalogued on the first floor. No more true vintage lighting and hardware to peruse. All thats available is Rejuvenations brand of reproduction items, either their own or overpriced from other sellers like Nostalgic Warehouse. The second and third floors are now corporate offices and a pert sign announces that access to non-employees is forbidden.I realize that Rejuvenation was bought out some years ago and the parent company has slowly been shifting their focus and presentation, but it saddens me to see such a Portland institution lose its soul.
This review is specific to the Hart Modular Walnut 5-shelf Triple Shelving Unit. I want to know if there is someone else out there like me who has been waiting for this piece of furniture to ship from this company for 3 months, and just now found out that the new delivery date has been delayed by another 3 months. I find this unacceptable and unprofessional. If you cannot manage your supply chain to this degree, you should not be selling parts that will keep delaying such as this or simply issue a refund or better address the customer. When I placed the order, everything on the website suggested that this piece would be shipping in 2-4wks. This is a serious case of customer dissatisfaction and would likely not be taking my business here again.
Oh no its the shippers lies about not wanting to actually deliver so they can make more money shipping it back, oh no it the buyers fault for not getting a delivery that was never delivered or getting a nonexistent message from the shipper, oh no it the sellers fault for failing to get a decent shipper in a corrupt shipping business. IF YOU CANNOT GUARANTEE A TIMELY SHIPPING OF ITEMS TO CERTAIN ZIP CODES THEN STOP PEDDLING YOUR PRODUCTS TO US. And please everyone, poor service is not all about Covid-19. ****** We ended up cancelling the order 2.5 months after the order. Good luck!
I live in the Denver area and ordered a large cabinet hardware order and decided I liked something else better after receiving. I called and spoke to a Candice on the phone and can’t say enough good things about the customer service! She even gave a complimentary return label since I was ordering different knobs through them. The quality is top notch and happy I went with this company for my kitchen renovation.
Fantastic place to buy quality furniture. Jody was a big help and so friendly. Thank you!
Very nice fixtures and furniture. Friendly, helpful staff. As an owner of an old house we have shipped there for years. Truth be told, though, its not what it used to be when they were their own store.
Great selection and friendly employees.
What a gem in Portland. I felt like I was in NYC, SF or LA. Awesome!
I want to like their stuff so much more but it is just incredibly over priced. Id rather use City Home.
Great staff, awesome products. Expensive vintage product, but well curated. Have spent way too much money here! Ha Ha
I have been to this store a number of times over the last 20 years and it has changed significantly. They use to carry a lot of salvage items (Im an old house nut). It had a homey feel. Now it is obviously an upper end store... no salvage. The staff are friendly and helpful but even with a six figure salary I cant afford most of the items in the store.
I went in here today looking for some lighting options and was just flat out disappointed. Seems to be a store out there to solve the non-problem of what if I want to buy the same basic stuff you can get at pottery barn but I want to pay twice as much.
Its beautiful and worth a visit. If you enjoy classy and clean stuff and are ready to spend then its a place for You! It should definitely be on your list when you are researching what to buy for your dream space :)
Fascinating selection of furniture and fixtures in a variety of styles. Love the part of the store with old and refurbished items. Price point varies radically from reasonable to what seems to be wildly overpriced. But very high quality overall!
The right place for pricey Mid-Century Modern items. Otherwise, dont bother. Their love affair with history goes back to about 1950.
I was unable to go into their store, with everything closed due to Covid, so I could not see the item I ordered online. I received it and hate it. Even with with Covid, they are not being flexible with their return policy. So much for being in this all together. NOT nice.
Typical lighting fixture store are horrendous. Poor selection and poor quality are the norm and its worse in the big box stores. Rejuvenation is completely different. They have amazing lighting and hardware and I have used them for years updating my home in Forest Heights. They arent cheap but if you spend some time there you can find some treasures. Their goods are well crafted and made here locally or in California. The showroom is amazing and you can spend a whole afternoon there checking it out. If you havent been there yet do so. Youll love it.
Beautiful show room and nice products but overall experience falls short for the price. Went in to purchase a few products and had issue with two of the three products. One items sold we were told was in stock and would be shipped immediately, turned out the product was not available and would not ship for three month. Rejuvenation did not reach out with any updates, it was not until I followed up a week later did they acknowledge the issue at which point we had to select a different product. On the second item with an issue, it was damaged during shipping, once again Rejuvenation did not reach out to update us on the process forward we had to reach out to inform them to let them know tha the product was damaged and not delivered. We did not get a call back on the issue just an email saying a replacement product would be ordered and we would receive it in line with their standard shipping period, meaning it will take up to 12 weeks from initial purchase for our item to be delivered. Was hoping for a better overall experience but the sales associates seemed to have out of date information and required us to follow up on issues on their end to inform them get corrections.
Upscale interior and exterior hardware, fixtures, furniture, decor, and assorted knicknacks. Modern and vintage, replicas and originals. Pricey but seemingly well made. Doesnt hurt to shop a sale or save your money for a nice piece.
I love these people. I love getting their catalog, I love the products, I love the company.I have bought two things from them - a ceiling fixture years ago through the catalog, and more recently a beautiful table lamp as a holiday present for my wife, through the website. Both were shipped quickly and safely, and I felt like I got a really good deal both times. They know period lighting - really know it - not like a lot of retailers who sell any junk with stained glass in it and call it MIssion or Craftsman. RH products are sure to match with your historic home.
This was the second time I purchased lighting in this store and second time I’ve been helped by Mark. He went above and beyond to make sure I know how to install the light, even did sketches to make sure I connect it the right way. Great store, even greater staff.
Very professional and fair.
Nice place busy alot of unique items.
Beautiful store but Im really sad to see what its become. I used to enjoy all the old, vintage hardware and architectural items. You never knew what unique things youd find there for the home. Now, its nothing more than an overpriced home goods store.
It is a wonderful store filled with many Portland lightning options, both new and salvage. The other home furnishings, and hardware are high quality and therefore cost more than a Lowes or Target. The cost of their items directly correlate to the quality of the product and the service you can expect. This store can be a place of inspiration even if you never purchase anything.
Reasons for a 1 Star:- Issue: Ordered antique art deco light fixture online and received a confirmation email with applicable number for tracking.- About a month after ordering, shipment and communicationhad not been received.- Called customer service to track order and was informed the orderwas on hold and would ship shortly. No email receivedconfirming shipment.- Called customer service on day 2 and was informed the item is notavailable, just select another inferior item at more money, but withan additional 10% discount.- No communication from the individuals on day 1 ever received.- Communication from customer service on day 2 was sufficient butdisappointing.Total time wasted = 5 hours (finding item, ordering, checking emails for shipment, talking to customer service)
If I ever have millions of dollars to spend on quirky accessories, lighting, street numbering, etc. I would come here. Very cool-looking options, including those iconic Portland porcelain house numbers you see everywhere.
I went expecting the Rejuvenation of old. Nope. No wife assortment of well-curated old hardware. They’ve turned themselves into Bed, Bath, and Beyond. But $$$$$$$$...
Way to expensive for my taste. Ill find a less expensive item of the same quality online. (Amazon)
Much like Anthropologie, Rejuvenation is a fun place to amble through while pretending youre rich enough to actually afford these things. They host some really neat marketplaces for small vendors (earlier this year, they put on their own version of San Franciscos Renegade Market, which was seriously awesome and super under-attended), and they really do have anything you could dream of to make your home a little cuter and a little fancier. Totally worth a look -- just bring cash.
We were Portland residents for 15 years and had used Rejuvenation several times through those years. We’ve since moved to a home we had built in N. Georgia and found hanging lights that would look great over our dining room table. Our contractor ordered them and unfortunately the globes and several of the pendants arrived broken. We were told that they will finally arrive in July and now our contractor has told me he’s being charged for the broken products. If we didn’t already have the pendants hanging I would have canceled the order. It’s sad to see Rejuvenation treating customers this way. Shame on you. The review won’t allow zero stars but consider this a ZERO.
Beautiful lights. Sale going on yet employees were still very helpful.
This place is a good location if youre updating your house to a retro feel. Its just so bloody expensive that it makes you often leave either planning to eat spaghetti and butter for a month, or sad because you didnt want to spend over two hundred dollars on a lampshade you liked. The store used to have a broad selection of old items, but that is not really the case any longer. All that said, the place has loads of style, and friendly people working there.
Very poor customer service. Do not stand behind their products. We had a fixture that had a hot wire that went to ground, melting the insides. Since we were past the two year warranty, we were out of luck. All they would offer is 25% off a new fixture. This could have burnt our house down! LL Bean or Sears they are not.
Ordered a pair of globes and fixtures. The globes were supposed to be blue. We received black. We were told they sent us copper, it was their mistake, and an exchange was arranged. Received round two and they were still black/copper. Questioned customer service whether this black color was actually supposed to be blue, they said no it is definitely blue and we would know it. Second exchange made. Third round arrives, still black. Returned everything. Globes looked great, would love them if they would send us the color we ordered. First world problems.
Disappointed. They have redone their supplies. They no longer carry cool, old items. :-( That was why I loved coming in.
Purchased a sink from the online store. Before I had even received the order it went on sale. I called customer service to request a refund of the difference. They said they dont do that. I asked for a store credit. They said no. They said I could return the sink then order a new one. I asked if I could return it in store, they said no. I asked to speak with a manager, they said no. Not helpful or customer oriented. The sink seems cool at least.Rejuvenation, here is my order # WO00297162 if you want to fix your crappy policy!!!
Amazing and awesome products for the home.
Great stuff, really different from 20 years ago
Not a friendly return/exchange policy. I purchased 4-6 drawer pulls to compare, intending to select one (purchase multiple) and return the others. They do not allow return or exchange after 30 days. I will be purchasing from elsewhere for my larger project because of this rigid policy. Quite a waste of $$ for me unfortunately.
Like restoration hardware on steroids.Took two 12 year olds shopping and they had the best time checking out all the cool old stuff and neat new things
Definitely a splurge (especially on a college budget), but the expense was worth it, especially when a small item I purchased was damaged on the plane ride home. I am glad to know that my investment went to such an accommodating place!
Good place
We have lighted 6 homes with fixtures from Rejuvenation since 1986 plus various bathroom and cabinet hardware. The quality cannot be beat.
The store is very expensive but it is also extremely unique and beautiful. There is an amazing selection of lighting as well as handmade pieces and furniture!
Fantastic people, very high quality furnishings.
For sure expensive, but nice Portland/craftsman style stuff. Cool old antiques and such too. Check the back for returned/out-of-box lighting for deals.
Great store. Very High quality
Awesome lightbulbs and pendant lights! High quality, high end, and vintage lighting and hardware.
Junk mailers galore, all the way down to San Francisco for people who havent bought anything from this company or ever shared our mailing addresses with them (who are they buying the data from?). I wouldnt buy anything from this company since they are prioritizing waste over renovation, contrary to what their name implies.
Good quality should not equal outrageous pricing! I think the motto for this company is Browse But Dont Buy.
Super helpful
Rejuvenation sells vintage and new furniture, bathroom fixtures, lighting and other home goods. in 1977, Neil Kellys son Jim started the architectural salvage shop in North Portland where he rebuilt vintage light fixtures in his spare time. Rejuvenation soon began manufacturing reproduction lighting fixtures and selling them nationally. Still a Portland, Oregon, company, the Williams-Sonoma home furnishings division acquired the company in 2011 to add to their popular West Elm and Pottery Barn brand stores. Today, they are Americas largest manufaturer of reproduction lighting in America, and still made in Portland, Oregon.#LocalGuides #OnGoogleMaps
Way overpriced. Some of the staff members were very rude.
Expensive, cool, antique-y, artsy, fun house stuff.
Overpriced merchandise, snooty staff
Lots of cool stuff in here.
The flagship showroom. Everything you have seen in the catalog, in real life.
Expensive for what you get
Absolutely beautiful furniture and lighting.
Used to be rejuvenation owned by Jim Kelly was a great store did wonderful things for their staff now bought out by William Sonoma overpriced catalog products staff to knows very little
Expensive for things you can get elsewhere for less cost and same or better quality.
Extremely expensive furniture and knickknacks. Was pleasant to have a look around, though.
Love the store
Stunning
Expensive garbage
Great place
