The prices are cheap and the non name brand items are actually good. The are now super friendly. I still remember when it first opened how rude all the workers were. They would actually throw your food into the basket like they were trying to throw a 3 pointer or something. Does anyone else remember?

Its been almost a week since my 9 month out of town job ended and I have already made an appointment to visit my therapist to discuss my withdrawal issues from what had become my favorite grocery store. Im going to be honest. I had heard stories from other people who have shopped here. I did not shop. I went in to look around to see what kind of store it was. Ive seen their ads. I had been told the cashiers sit as they work, you had to bag your own groceries and employees were rude.When I got to the store the first thing I saw was you had to pay for your cart. So if you didnt know ahead of time you may not have change to pay for your cart. (Which honestly I hadnt seen since the 90s which it was mostly places like Sacramento and other bigger cities) I was very surprised. When I entered it really wasnt what I was expecting. From the outside and looking through the ads I thought it would be like a regular looking store inside (meaning aisles stocked with food on shelves-like Save Mart or other stores)(not that theres anything wrong) it reminds me of a warehouse type store with boxes opened and sat out instead of the regular type stocking-again nothing wrong with that. I saw mainly off brands not very many name brand items. (Again nothing wrong with that). I just want people to understand what they will see and not think like me its like stores here we are use to. I wouldnt consider myself to have a lot of money. For me the prices seemed all over especially for generic items. I had someone with me that experienced the same thing I was. Weve never been there. She felt the prices werent as discounted as they could be for generic brands (her opinion) We did walk the whole store. The cashiers do sit on chairs which is different from what most of us are use to. (Not that its a bad thing-just different). I think what really bothered me was one of the people that had told me theyd never shop there again because of the way they were treated and when they asked for help they got none.(their experience) (I didnt go through the checkout-I was just looking for what it was like in there) As I was leaving I saw a shelf type thing that went across the front of the store after checkout. What I realized was that was where the customers took their carts to bag their own items. I didnt see any bags that said ALDI(I dont know if they have them)back to what bothered me is seeing people struggle trying to bag their items with bags of their own. Especially an elderly man. From what it looked like was the cashier rang up your items and then they were put back in the cart and the customer dealt with putting them in the bags away from the checkstand. I know we have Food 4 Less that we bag our groceries but we bag at the register. So that was odd to me. Again I didnt go through the checkout. I just observed what other people were doing. Personally it didnt feel welcoming nor customer friendly. That was how we both felt walking through the store watching people and looking at the store in general. Im sure others may feel different. Again this is my opinion on what I observed and just the atmosphere seemed like customers arent as important as they could be. Especially when the first thing you see is you have to pay to use a cart. (You may get your money back, thats how it use to be in the 90s) As you walk through the store you see chains hanging off the carts. Which was different. Of course we see bars on the carts at some stores. (Im sure Ive jumped around a bit.) I like being able to go in a store and feel like if I need help with something I would get help. Watching the older people trying to bag as I was walking out and even another customer doing the same thing. I felt as if they werent important. I had no contact with any staff members. Just one person stocking cold items and 2 cashiers sitting at the register. Customers didnt even look happy. It made me sad honestly. But everyone has their experience and opinion. This was my experience just walking through observing. I worked in retail most of my life and customer service is important. It just seemed cold. But because of all the generic brands Im sure there are people who shop there out of necessity. You may feel different. Go see for yourself.

Really great Aldi. Travelled from Iowa to Sequoia and stopped here along the way to grab provisions for the week. Name brand beers (Corona), excellent produce at low prices, and some of the best bread we’ve ever had from a conventional store.

First time shopping here. It is a great store, it has great prices but the employees are kind of slow at taking out the expired Foods. Bought some bread, bagels, some kind of lemon bars, cupcakes & a few other items; all of the (breads, bagels, lemon bars & cupcakes) were all expired, everything else was ok. Everything I listed above looked ok besides the bagels, there was mold on them so I took them back & they gave me a new bag of bagels. I will definitely be returning but will be checking the dates on everything from now on.

Aldi is a great place to shop. Prices are good and they have a good variety of groceries. I always find something new to try and I enjoy their aisles that get new items every week. The meat selection and produce section are surprisingly good and the staff are friendly and helpful. The lines go pretty quick even when theres only one cashier. Love the quarter cart system because it keeps the carts where they belong, not in parking spaces like other places.

I like going to Aldis, produce is great. But I hate the check out process. Today Isabel three my items into my cart. Smashing my bread and causing 3 of my bread products to fall on to the floor. This is not my first experience with this.

I loved it!I noticed a few shoppers didnt get Aldi but I think that if you come prepared youll like it. Id recommend checking out their website to get an idea of what theyre about. Bring a quarter to get a shopping cart, youll get it back when you return it.I found a lot of unique items, both grocery and home decor, for a really affordable price.They had lots of healthy food, fresh produce, and the store was spotless & organized despite being very busy. The employees were very polite as well. I didnt wait in line for long neither. I enjoyed how the store and parking lot are on the smaller side because it makes getting in and out quick.

I love Aldis. Its a great place to shop for great deals. The prices are already super discounted.Then when shop the weekly ads you save even more.The only negative comment I can make is that sometimes the items in the ad sell quickly and are totally out of that product.I live 22 miles from the Aldis in porterville. Its sort of frustrating to make the drive only to find theyve sold out due to very small amount of that item.This is why I gave a 4 🌟 review.They still beat Grocery outlets by a long shot.

Good prices, very clean, decent selection. I really dont like the cart switching at the register, and ESPECIALLY didnt like the one time the cashier tried to push my cart WITH MY 2 CHILDREN over to the bagging area. Also, some cashiers need to be gentler with the items and be sure not to smash loaves of bread and bags of chips. Also, the cart locking is a bit excessive and a hassle when youre with 2 small children.

They always have goodie but I find the staff, for a select few, to be standoffish!

Honestly for $58 3 Big reusable bags Im happy and willing to try considering their return policy is Awesome! Mainly buy staples and eggs here. Check it out its different buy pretty cheap overall bring a quarter for the cart dont worry you get it back after you return it.

Great prices, sometimes they run out of what you want. You have to bag your own groceries on a counter away from check stand so that requires extra time.

Place is pretty small, not much of a selection. 99 cents for a dozen of large eggs. Let’s see how long that lasts lol.

Went to the store to buy celery and spinach had 14 stocks of celery 2 bags spinach the checker never said a word to me got on phone to manger, manger told him I could only buy 6 celery. I asked to speak to the manger, the manager would not come out but finely did come out but was very rude. The celery was not on special and had no sign saying limit . If there is a limit it needs to be posted. I was in store 4 days before spent 150.00 wont go back again.
