I recently got a home that came with a hot tub. I had no clue at all how to care for it, so I called them. They were very easy to work with, came out only a few days after I reached out, and in one hour they taught me everything i needed to know and got the hot tub running and fully functional. Couldnt be happier!

Needed to have pool water analyzed. Mentioned to Vicky it has been cloudy. Sold me one chemical and as always it fixed the problem. They have never sold me stuff I didnt need unlike some of their competition in Kalamazoo. That is why I am a loyal customer. I should mention that I have an 18 foot round Entex pool. Unlike every other pool place I have been to she is the only one that didnt treat me like a second class citizen. Thanks, Vicky!

I first called and visited Michigan Swim Pool & Spas in early summer of 2020. I was searching for above ground pools. When I called, Vicky was very helpful and provided me with very specific details that I needed. Unfortunately, I waited another couple of weeks before deciding on a size and shape of pool. I visited their store ready to make a purchase to find out that the pool shortage hit the day before. There was nothing available. However, they did refer me to another pool store with the belief they had a couple left in stock. They made no money off of the sale but were still willing to give a customer help at their expense. It worked out, we got one of the last pools the other store had available. Fast forward a few months later, we had a repair that needed to be done on our older model hot tub. Unlike others, they were willing to repair a model that they did not sell (the hot tub manufacturer went out of business a few years ago). The repairman they sent to the house was awesome! Very laid back but yet knowlegable about the hot tub and repair needed. The repair was surprisingly a reasonable cost, I expected it to much more than it was. If I decide to upgrade my hot tub someday, this place has my business! If I lived closer I would get all supplies from them just to show my support.

Bought a new house and the sellers agreed to pay for a new pool liner to be put in our pool. It was late in the season (end of Sept) but Michigan Pool assured us that they could get the liner in and the pool closed without any issues rather than waiting until spring to do so as I asked.First, the pool was supposed to have the new liner installed and closed for the season before we closed but the liner wasnt even installed.Second, they did finally start the liner installation the Monday after we closed but were not able to finish it the same day and said they would be back the next to finish it up. 2 weeks later and many phone calls and they still had not finished the liner.Next, after they finally finished the liner in the middle of October I was told to fill it and run it for a few days before closing it. Well by then my pool was full of leaves and I had to skim it for several hours each day to try and maintain it for closing. When I asked them when they were coming to close the pool I was then told that the closing was not included in the price, even though it was stated that it was. Additionally I was told that I shouldnt wait so long to close my pool as they didnt have their pool closers on staff anymore for the season, funny because it was delayed 100% by them.So then towards the end of October I had to scramble to find someone to close my pool at the last minute. Luckily I was able to find someone who did an amazing job and showed up the same day to get it taken care of and help me out, his company is Tim the Pool man.All this being said I have never been treated more unprofessionally by a company or had someone not want to do the work they were paid for in the time frame agreed upon. The guys that actually put the liner in were really nice and did a good job but the people at the office were extremely difficult to work with.I would highly recommend choosing a different pool place for any service you may need and steer clear of this place.

The owners are so helpful, down to earth, make sure you have what you need without a bunch of stuff you dont.

As far as going to their store and the service it is a 4.5 stars. There staff is VERY knowledgeable and are wonderful BUT as far as service at your home they are not all that great. Home Service is a 2.5 stars in my humble estimation.

I have used Michigan Swim Pool for 15 years. We bought our spa from them. They have provided excellent service throughout the years. When ever we have a problem, they have someone out to fix it within a day or two. I used to close down and clean my spa in the Fall. Now I just give them a call and they do it for me. They are reliable and reasonably priced. Customer service in their store has always been outstanding. I would highly recommend them.

Completely dissatisfied. Purchased a hot tub that began to leak 3 months after they installed it. During installation the hot tub was dropped by their tech and is to believed this is where the leak started. After 16 times and a repair at the manufacturer the hot tub still leaked. Not to mention they let their selves into our home without consent! After all of this they agreed to replace the tub. The new tub was never delivered and was told I was to help due to health issues with their delivery person. I disagreed and was treated very rudely over the phone by the owner Vicky. I had enough, we sued and won. They ended up paying more for the hot tub in legal fees in the end. Would of been cheaper just giving our money back. Especially after a 3 year period.Hopefully that is a lesson learned to this business. I would recommend no one step foot in that store. I would hate for anyone to go through the nightmare we went through.

Friendly, but our introduction to our new pool was very speedy. He talked very fast and pushed a certain product (Enjoy) that you cant even find valid information for anywhere. Not to mention, for one hour of introduction to new pool they charge 85.00. Just recieved a bill for 140.00 when he wasnt there for more than 75 minutes. Not sure how they calculated that total. We wont be buying our pool supplies from there or give them business again.

Whatever you do, do not choose Michigan Swim Pool and Spa. They have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. The owner is awful to work with. Spent a lot of money for hot tub repair and it still does not work. Their philosophy; keep ordering parts and charging the customer until it works. Asked four times if the service technician could call me and I was told four times that he would be given the message to call me. Never heard from him until we stopped doing business with them.

Good for getting things right away, but prices could be better

Had a new filter installed on their recommendation. I have had nothing but problems since then. I have had them out no less than 5 times to fix a variety of leaks. They claim that it is a difficult space to work with, but they are supposed to be professionals that can deal with difficulties. On their most recent visit they told me they were fixing it for free this time but they didnt want to come out again. The attitude was that they were doing me a favor by coming out for free to fix it. The favor would be if they would just fix things correctly. They have lost a customers many years of business and I will share my experiences with any pool owners I talk to.
