Sofia the new owner was amazing! She walked me through the process of getting my lamp shades refinished. Extremely helpful and provided me with a great price. I will for sure be coming back here if I have any other lamp shade issues.

Before you buy anything here, be absolutely sure you know what you are getting and know the store policy. This is a mom and pop operation, literally, and they make their own rules. Two shades I bought were not the correct color ordered, and when I called about returning them, even for exchange, I was told they are considered to be used and could not return. Also, they are open just a few hours each week, and their phone does not accept messages. Choose a reputable merchant, and avoid this shady operation!

Its so rare to find a mom and pop organization where the people are very friendly and knowledgeable about what they sell. Better hurry in before and experience the way America used to be.

Fantastic selection and very friendly and helpful owners. I finally found a really nice lamp shade and finial to match my custom lamp. If you need that special lamp shade, bring your lamp here! Theyre only open limited hours 3 days a week, so be sure to call ahead and schedule your visit.

I needed two lamp shades for my crystal lamps and this little shop has the best shades ever.

This small and very crowded store is loaded with lampshades. We purchased four lampshades, two harps, and two finials. Two of the lampshades, the harps and the finials were fine. We brought four lamps to the store and Miriam was very helpful in finding four shades to fit the lamps. In the store we saw the shades Miriam selected for our lamps wrapped in cellophane on our lamps. Once home we removed the cellophane wrapping and two of the lampshades were too white for our cream colored lamps and adjoining couch. We immediately notified the store owner that we were returning two of the lampshades and keeping everything else. Miriam informed us that there are signs in the store saying that once the cellophane is removed there are no returns. On re-visit I saw the signs. Given that the shades were in perfect shape and we were keeping most of our purchase I thought they would be taken back or we would be charged a re-wrapping fee. However the attitude was “see the signs.” Wish them well, but we will not be back.

Whatever lamp shade you are looking for you will definitely find it at a shade better. The proprietors are amazing people.

So helpful!!! Have an antique lamp and was looking for some parts. Referred me to a repair shop who fixed me up the same day for $20.00. Was so impressed with them went to see them and he made me a part for $5.00 that I was also looking for. I really wish I had more lamps so I could buy some shades from these people! Customer service is not dead!!

Ive never written a review before but this place deserves one. Great great great experience. Wish I needed more lamp shades; the lady who helped me could not have been more knowledgeable. The shade she suggested is a perfect match to an existing one I wanted to compliment in my room!

This may be the only lampshade business left in Southeast Florida, and it is always a nice experience to go there to have a lampshade recovered or to buy a new lampshade (or finial, from a very good selection) from the stores stock.The business is run by a very nice couple and is easy to find on Dixie Highway. Check their hours before going.Weve been there twice recently to have a lampshade replaced. My friend chose to have a new shade made in a conservative bluish gray color to replace her ancient lampshade. While there I noticed two blazing blue plaid shades and bought one for myself when we went to pick up the first lampshade. My plaid lampshade is made from a slightly shiny material (think taffeta) that I believe will be easy to clean (no pleats, for one thing). And theyre making another plaid shade for me, so well be back again soon.

If youre looking for a lampshade, this is THE place to go. The building is a bit out of the way in a very nondescript strip area, but worth the trip. They have a huge selection, but it you want something you cant find, theyll make it for you. We had made our own lamp and looked everywhere for a shade, before we were referred here. The people who manage the store were very nice and helpful. They came up with a basket of fabric swatches and they had just the right one. In two days, my custom lampshade was done and looks great! And the best thing was that it wasnt any more expensive than lesser shades that we saw at Target.
