Honestly between their quick service times great car selection helpful sales people and very friendly policies I cant recommend them highly enough. I traded my car in and walked away with a great trade in value a new car and immediately told the dealer I didnt love the car. I used about 26 of the 30 days searching CarMax inventories around the country and had the car I wanted shipped to their store for a very fast and easy swap. The entire process trade in, buy, return and buy the final car may have taken about 4-5 hours across 2 visits. The salesman (Jamal) stayed in contact with me the whole time about the cars I wanted and had on a watch list the cars I had shipped in etc. Great car buying experience

I went to CarMax to sell my vehicle because I trusted the company to be a reputable company that will not use gimmicks or bite and switch methods but I was extremely dissapointed that thats exactly what it was. I received an official offer by email that CarMax will buy my vehicle for $4,000 but when I went to the office to surrounded the vehicle they ended up paying me $3,000 instead. It this was not an actual offer but an estimate as the manager stated I wouldve gone somewhere else to sell my car. Deceiving customers is not what I expected. The manager rudely took my phone and scrolled down the offer to show me the tiny statement on the terms of the offer. I only surrounded the vehicle and took the $3,000 because we were on our way to buy our new car in another dealer and were running late. I will never shop or do any business at CarMax again, my trust in this company has forever vanished.

Absolutely abysmal customer service. Like to give you the run around. People are untrained and don’t know what they’re doing. All they do is waste your time. You’ll call multiple times to ask if docs are fine, they’ll say yeah, then 20 minutes later a rep will call and say “oh you’re missing this and that and this and that”. They’re ridiculous

Received a quote online for our Audi. Booked an appointment for Saturday morning for the transaction. CarMax made this pretty simple - they do a live (and very thorough inspection), provide an appraisal, and you say yes or no. Their appraisal was exactly what the online quote said - so as long as you input accurate details, it should be spot on. Entire process took about 90 min. Staff was super friendly. I’ll do the same thing for our next car.

Incredibly fast - I went to sell my car thinking it would take hours as it usually takes in dealerships but I was in and out in less than 1hr, even though I went at 6pm (1hr before closing). They gave me the highest buy quote as well so incredible experience all around. Will definitely sell any future cars to CarMax.

This was the first time using CarMax and purchasing a vehicle online. CarMax and Henry at the Pompano Beach Location made the process very smooth and painless. I put my vehicle in CarMaxs system to receive a quote to trade in and quickly received a fair price. I also put in an order for a vehicle to be delivered to Pompano Beach form another city. Once it arrived we received an email and were quickly put in touch with Henry. Henry let us know what we needed to bring to complete the trade in and purchase making the whole process seamless. Unfortunately I had to bring the whole family into the appointment but Henry having all the paperwork lined up we were there for less than an hour. Thanks CarMax & Henry ! The price that was given online for my vehicle was honored after visiting your location. I sold the car to Carmax. But my only complaint is that the wait to sign the paperwork and receive the check was extremely long! It took two days and a total of six hours. The office staff is amiable but disorganized. They tell you that it’s a first-come basis, but it’s not. There is no one in charge, or that is the perception.

Simply said: wonderful. We went to another company first and they pulled what surely looked like a bait & switch. Rob was wonderful in checking us in...assessing the Subaru and when we came back to turn it in....the process was painless and actually pleasant. Nice and Easy process. No haggle. But then again, my credit was good. Took less than an hour to purchase my car after doing their approval process online! Instant approval no documents or proof like paystubs needed. Can’t say the same for the family next to me. Years ago I would’ve given this place 1 star because my credit was bad and they couldn’t finance me lol. But thank God for growth because this time they were begging for my business❤️ I was able to finance my daughters first car 0 down 318 a month for 4 years!!

Good Morning!! I just purchased a car from CARMAX in POMPANO yesterday and I wanted to leave a POSITIVE review! This was the 3 place I went to that morning and right away the place looked more professional then the last 2. I went straight to the front desk and told them I do not want a pushy sales person. Jamal Bilal said he was not pushy and would like to help me. We sat down and went through the computer. When I asked if can just just walk around with my mom he said SURE! He pointed out where the cars were and my mom and I walked around. When we were ready we came back but Jamal had a previous appointment so he gave us to Joseph (JOEY) LOPEZ which was nice. JOSEPH was AMAZING!!!! He did not give off the vibe of car salesman. It was like talking to a friend. He gave me his opinion and did not try to upsell me. He let me test drive the cars 3 times! He is very patient! He showed me on the computer what I was looking at financially. Nothing was hidden. MIKE then got my old car an estimate. Unfortunately I did not catch his last name but he has been working there for MANY years. He was also very friendly and nice! Even though Joseph could have gone home he stayed at work until I was in my new Used car. Now its the next day and I do not have any buyers regret. This is the first time I am happy with a car I purchased and not having to settle. I have 30 days to get upgrades done to my car so I am for sure going to go back! Easy peasy. Brought in my car to sell. It took about 30 minutes to assess and then I got an offer which I accepted. Another 30 minutes or so to sign the paperwork and receive the check.

I already had an online quote before I went in. We set up an appointment through their online portal and arrived on time. A gentleman there (I think his first name was Mike) received us politely and asked us to wait while he took our car for a spin and evaluation. In about 20 minutes he came back with an offer and it took another 40 minutes for them to do a second evaluation and give me a better offer, closer to the online quote. So, all in all, it was a pleasant experience that ended well. For some reason, the business office folks forgot to return my license plate and I had to contact another branch (where they had shipped the car by next day) who eventually returned my license plate by FedEx a few days later. Again, all professional interactions; obviously, they are super busy during the summer holidays and despite a few hiccups, I would say that the experience was outstanding, especially when compared to the bad experience we had at another national entity that buys used cars.

Make sure you bring a MAN with you! First off they sold me a Honda more then what the car was Worth. Second the car rides Really rough so I took it back to Car Max they told me its a HONDA and HONDAS RIDE ROUGH!! THATS A LIE! No negotiation. I’m not a mechanic but I know basics, I didn’t get an explanation about what was wrong with my vehicle or have it pointed out to me. An “invoice” so to speak. And I was offered x amount. That’s IT. Take it or leave it. This Vehicle was a 2016 and had 21,000 miles on it with some body damage that amounted to a couple thousand. The app quoted me $13,000. The app quoted me $13,000. So I brought it there, and my quote was $3500. That’s it. I will not be returning to Carmax

Great Staff but have had problems with car!First of all I love my car. Ive always wanted a Mini Cooper and now the kids are grown, I thought, why not! The price was very fair at Carmax and the financing extremely easy compared to other dealers. The staff very friendly and so helpful. Fast forward just three months and I have already had to replace an ignition coil and the AC completely quit on me. Both items added $1000 to my bill in just 3 short months. Get your car checked by a mechanic and try to find one still under manufacturer warranty. Unfortunately my Mini was not. Hes still my baby and I love it! You will be pleased with the staff and ease of car buying though! Prayerfully also with your car longer than three months!

Went there looking for a car and the salesman (initial J.L) wasn’t helpful. He wanted to put me in a 2012 car with almost 70,000 miles on it from a 2007 trade in with 161,000 miles. He wasn’t very helpful at all and very nonchalant . Needlessly to say, I found my car. No thanks to CarMax

Smooth easy process. Got the suv I wanted without any issues. The only part I couldn’t stand (yes it might be petty but it’s the principle). When I buy a 30k suv from you and the tire pressure is way off (one tire was 20psi) the least you could do was fill the tire for me especially when you say that you did. Other then that great experience.

They rip you off. I got an offer for my car 4000 ridicoulos. I sold it one week later for 6500 Facebook market place.

Jamal worked hard to put together my trade in and to make the sale. He made the experience worthwhile, enough for me to purchase a vehicle from him. The week before that however, I walked out on another salesman who I did not like. I was bothered by the fact that when I was in the outdoors car lot, he told me that I had to wear a mask. I called the corporate office and they told me that was not the case. Only if an employee is within six feet of a customer was a mask necessary. If he would have been better trained, I would have stayed rather than walking out.

Terrible service, i asked about a Sonata, the young man looked it up in the computer and pointed me to the lot full of cars . I walked around couldnt find what I was looking for and left. They didnt get my business. I went to Hyundai on Federal in Deerfield Beach and bought a car, exactly what o was looking for fora great price.

I bought a new car 7 days ago and I need to return it today. Unfortunately the driver seat is very uncomfortable. It doesnt have a lumbar seat and I cant drive it. I tried out 5 other cars yesterday and each one had problems. So I have to go to other dealership and hopefully find a car and have fun on the rest of my vacation.

CarMax made me wait a while just to say that my car didn’t have enough time in my name and mileage to sell. Could have told me that from the beginning.

I went to CarMax to sell my car. The staff was friendly and nice. However, their offer was $2244.00 below Carvana’s offer. The nice gentleman who gave us the appraisal advised that they were a wholesaler and that’s why offer was less than we were expecting. I am sure that people have had positive experiences in their dealings with CarMax. I just was not going to sell my car for such a low offer.

What a smooth experience. This is my 3rd vehicle purchased from Carmax locations around the country. This time was no different. I had a small hiccup with my first associate (Youngie was telling me that they weren’t doing test drives anymore and that carmax had a 7 day money back guarantee, if i didn’t like it. Ummmm...i wasn’t going to buy a car without test driving it...haha), but the gentlemen who were over seeing the floor helped pair me with the wonderful Joe Rodriguez. He made the process so easy and smooth. Even when my schedule got busy, he still managed to keep the ball rolling with no pressure. We chatted via the phone, text, and email, and before I knew it-I was sitting down to purchase my car. The sales process wasn’t pushy which made decision making easy. Let me tell you, the paperwork signing, was completely a breeze. I had purchased a car earlier this year, and that’s paperwork part was a nightmare. I was trying to sell my car on craigslist and to be honest I had no clue how it all worked. In about a week I received an offer via email from Carmax that I thought was too good to be true. I gave them a shot and brought my car in with their offer. Sure enough everything checked out and they purchased my car right there on the spot. Everyone was very courteous and professional. the process was very easy. They took care of it all. I walked out with the belongings that were in the car and a check. I highly recommend this way of selling cars especially for people who are uncertain or unfamiliar with how to sell their cars. My car was financed and I had a debt. There was still a warranty on it as well. Carmax took care of it all and gave me blue book value for my car. I was very pleasantly surprised. Delighted with it all. Ps make sure you have a way to get home once you sell your car.

We sold car to Carmax. Everything worked out fine except bringing the car back to Carmax.Initially I was told that I have till 4/29/21 to bring the car BUT your administrative department insisted that it MUST be brought to Carmax now.This is our holy month and it was 6:00pm already. It was very difficult to go home bring my wife and then break our fast and attend our prayers at the masjid by 8:00 pm.It took more than half hour to convince the person to talk to the manager for an exception even though according to my letter I had about 5 days to bring the car to you.Eventually the manager agreed to allow us to bring the car back by next day afternoon.

This place was amazing!! After spending 5 HOURS dealing with other dealerships and one nightmare after another my husband and I decided on our way home after the third fiasco to give it one last try before we ended our search for the day. I was completely put off by my previous experience and was ready to throw in the towel but Im so happy I didnt! We walked in and spoke to Michael and explained our day and what had happened. He was great! He sat with us and went through all our options on the lot and what could be shipped to their location. Within 40 minutes I had a car picked out to be transferred to our location and approved for a loan. I will never buy another car from anywhere else ever again. Such a great experience after such a terrible day. My husband and I have no regrets and no buyers remorse. I went from crying in the car on to very happy knowing that I was finally getting the car I wanted, at a fair price with a 60 month warranty. I would recommend for everyone to go and at the very least speak to a rep there about buying your car, you wont be disappointed!

Carmax offers a liquid market for used cars. Whatever the reason may be..it is a fair place to sell a car in an hour or two....for a FAIR price. Pretty automated process and staffed by people who know how to do their job and deal with the unexpected withe professionalism and a sense of urgency not common in FL.

I went there to get my car appraise, the sales rep named fernando took extremly care of all my questions and concerns. Even though I didnt get a new vehicle, the experience wasnt tedious or stressful. Fernando made it very easy.
