Sean and his staff do an absolute great job on my boat every year. I would never consider going to anybody else unless I was out of the area and needed service John Garden Isles Marine is my go-to for all services for my boat.
Took my boat to Garden Isle Marine for my yearly routine maintenance and I have to say Tracy & John too great care of my boat and my wallet. I needed my engines serviced, tune ups, filters, water pumps, gear-case oil changed. They also recommended a fresh coat of bottom paint and a hull wax. Everything was done in a timely matter and there were no surprises when the bill was ready, it was the price that we discussed. Its been a couple of weeks since I picked it up and have had no issues, Its running great, looking great and I couldnt be happier. Thanks John & Tracy.
I have used John and his team over the last 3 years to work on my verados and do all my hull work on a 37 Intrepid. They are fair in their pricing, honest, and get the job done well and on time. I could be happier with their service.
I needed a 20 hour service on my new engine and called around and ask the owner how much to to do the service and I told him I was bringing the boat by water. He gave me a price of $300. I went to pick up the boat today and was charged to take the boat out of the water for an extra $100 as well as cost for parts and the total cost came out to $440.09. I discussed the issue with him and he said it was a miss communication on his end but made zero effort to try and come to any solution other than still charge me the full amount. Less than impressed with how this company operates and not providing the proper cost up front.
I have been bringing my boat here for years. John and Tracy always go the extra mile to provide great service. They are fast reliable and honest. I highly recommend Garden Isles Marine
The staff are very friendly and helpful, the prices they charge are also responsible. John really knows his stuff and always finds the best and most cost effective way of doing something.
Highly recommended, great service and very clean work. theyre right on the water so you can there thru street or by water. Thank you for re powering my boat will see you next service
Been my mechanic for all 4 boats Ive owned and have taken care of countless friends boats over the years....John and Tracey are the best, honest and great mechanics.
Great service
DO NOT GET YOUR BOAT REPAIRED OR SERVICED HERE!!! I cannot stress this enough. I had my power steering replaced here and that was a mess. When I got my boat back the engine alarm was broken off and the whole steering system was leaking. I brought it back twice before the leak was resolved and fixed the alarm myself. I chalked it up to John the mechanic being busy and told myself I just wouldnt go back. A few months later I needed some repairs and service done to my out drive and because the location is so convenient I decided to give this place another shot. Shame on me. John had my boat for two months. The cost was over $6K for repairs and a basically rebuilt out drive that now leaks perfusely when it never leaked before along with a now leaking power steering which he replaced back in October. Ive brought my boat back twice to stop the leak me and it is still not fixed. I will be taking it to a legitimate mechanic to have repaired and will invoice Garden Isle for the costs associated with this. Additionally, while being repaired he got grease stains on my seats and deck and broke several switches which were never repaired/replaced or cleaned. Both experiences have been a disaster. I encourage anyone needing a boat mechanic to look elsewhere and avoid further issues.
This comment is responding to JR Miller and my personnel experience’s dealing with John at Garden Isle Marine Services.Mr. Miller,I was actually at the location and witness the discussion on the day you had picked up your vessel.Unfortunately your frame of mind at the time did not allow you to actually listen to what was being said to you at that time. John said that the charge for the service to remove the vessel during a Hurricane is $400.00. (Reasonable price for lifting the vessel and to stage it on the property) Not the $800.00 that you had mentioned in your review. The $800.00 that John was referring too and I quote.“Some insurance companies rebate up to $800.00 for removal in a named Hurricane.I personally wanted to clarify this to the individuals that read the posts. You also had made a key point post, yes we did have a hurricane Irma a cat 5 as the media was predicting and potentially heading to south Florida . Everyone located in South Florida was preparing for this storm for the majority of that week, just as we all should. My opinion on this issue is not only Robalo and Garden Isle and everyone else in the entire area had concerns about the storm.Robalo also has a large facility south of our area, I am sure that their main priority was to protect the vessels in and on the property.Preparation for the storm in my opinion takes priority over warranty work.Considering warranty work needs a P.O. (Prior Authorization) Robalo during this time, I would think also have priorities during a situation such as this one. Warranty work takes a back seat considering Hurricane Irma was on the way. These are a few points that I would consider during the preperation for the storm. Most of us that own a vessel would be extremely happy to have the opportunity to have it on land during the storm.John Hall and Garden Isle Marine, I have been dealing with him for quite some time and never had any issues with his services, actually the opposite from what has been stated. John has always shown a professional attitude and service to myself . He has acknowledged my questions and even assists in addition explanations with situations that I have felt it can be repaired by myself. He has always been reasonably priced, I have never felt uncomfortable about Garden Isles pricing .John and his wife (Tracey) thank you for your service. This Captain gives Garden Isle Marine Services a Five Star Rating.
John is the best!
