If your vehicle needs a repair, tune-up or oil change… do yourself a favor and skip this place. The only thing they are quick in is giving you the price on how much you are going to pay. Everything thing else is a hit or miss… or they just tell you they can’t figure out the problem because their technician is not qualified on the new equipment or the technician is not in that day and you have to wait an extra day before it can be repaired or looked at even. The worst is when you get your vehicle back and they only perform half of the repairs and give an excuse they couldn’t remove a bolt because only the dealership can… and you ask the dealership and they say no such special bolt exists for that item. Lazy… incompetent… arrogant and lacking in customer satisfaction… that is what this location is.

This is just a comment about how things have changed. Most employees, not all, are no longer car people. If they cant access the part or item through the computer, then they cant help you. Gone are the days of the person knowing what other compatible parts can go in your car. Also, forget about locating or buying parts for any car before 1980.

I’m so grateful for the technicians here. My catalytic converter was stolen and my oxygen sensor was also taken, and in the process my resonator was sawed. James went above and beyond trying to help me find replacements that might help me save money. Unfortunately, due to the damage done and the make of my car, we had no choice but to go with a few thousand dollars’ worth of replacement parts, but I truly feel as though I had the best possible service here for my situation and my specific car model. James explored every possible avenue for part orders and he gave me honest and fast updates on my car.The other technicians at the front were kind as well, and I felt much better after leaving my car with them after having a horrible day with the police report and other phone calls. Marcelino serviced my car and it runs exactly like it should. DaVaughn was very patient and kind during the payment process… the amount of money was pretty high for me (I’m a college student), so my fiancé and I had to try several options before figuring out a way to pay for the service, and DaVaughn was really patient with us and helped us try financing. The cost I paid wasn’t at all their fault due to the damages, theft, and my car model, and their labor prices were very reasonable and helped the final cost be a little more affordable.I highly recommend this location and a huge thank you again for helping me through such a difficult situation.

Sadly it was another wasted trip to Pep Boys. The website is useless. Again the wrong part wad listed and when I went to pick up my online order I noticed it was wrong. Not even close to the radiator cap I needed. Yes, a simple part like a radiator cap for a 2000 Toyota Tundra and they cant get it right. Come to find out they dont even stock my cap. Then why is it listed, and the wrong one might I add, on the website?I suggest, like I did, to go to the Advanced Auto site and order your parts there. You can pick them up at your local Car Quest Auto store. Great selection, reliable snd site discounts up to 25% off. Why do I bother with Pep Boys? Theyre close- never again.

I was very impressed by their responsible, helpful and patient staff, especially the manager Mr. Chris, as well as their reasonable pricing.I went to Auto Zone first before I went to This Pep Boys store at this location due to the failure to start my car. They quickly tested my battery and told me it’s the failure of alternator and nothing is wrong with my battery. They also asked me to pay for a new alternator and wait for a few days for the delivery. I left because I doubted if the result is right since my car is only 3 years old and I have been driving it carefully.The next day, I went to pep boys for second opinion. The store was about to close, but the manager Chris took time to test the battery, adding gas, and ran a few reports to conclude that it’s the battery issue; the alternator is good. Although the store was closing, Chris didn’t show any rush or impatience. He checked their store and selected the right battery for my car. He also gave me a reasonable price plus service fee. He arranged a time the next day at my convenience to finish the sale and repair.So here I am today after work waiting for them to take out the bad battery, put a new one back, then reprogram it so my car will recognize the new battery.I feel so blessed that Chris Is taking care of my car issue after Auto Zone gave me a wrong result and told me to buy a new alternator that I don’t need.I am writing this review honestly describing my experience here. People working at this store is so professional, patient, and friendly; they put customers’ need first. They helped me so much and corrected a big mistake made by Auto Zone. I am very grateful for their service at this store. I asked them to let me take this photo after they completed the repair. It’s a perfect business experience! Thank you Chris and Leo! Made 2 appointments on 7/24/20 for 7/28/20 for my 2 cars. When I dropped off my first car I told the cashier I was going to come back and drop off the second car. He said there’s only an appointment for 1 and he asked me who did I talk to when I made the appointment. I said I talked to you. He said he will take care of the second car but it was going to take longer. I didn’t argue and left. He said he was going to give me a call when the second car was done and he never bothered calling. I showed up and asked him why didn’t he call, he said he was busy. The gentleman that helped me out was Asian, and didn’t have any customer service skills. I been coming here for almost 2 years but I’ll rather go somewhere else now since they don’t appreciate my business.

My husband and I received a lack of service from this location. We purchased a Bosch battery here last year and began having issues today. After a jump start we arrived at this store 10min prior to to closing. All associates refused to test the battery or offer any purchasing assistance. We became stranded at the store while waiting for AAA. We saw every employee leave, and not a single one cared to ask if we would be ok or needed a jump. This is appalling! After 8yrs of patronage my husband has determined that Pep Boys has lost his business.

I dropped off my truck at 10am for an appointment for a brake fluid exchange and tire rotation in which there were no vehicles in the service area. I did not get my truck back until 10:34am the next day because they left the vehicle on while doing the alignment and drained my battery. I have the voicemail where she states that we hit a snag then mentions the dead battery when she called at 5:48pm. When I paid for the work being done, the lady behind the counter said We were making sure that the work was done right.The battery was tested good by Autozone 2 weeks ago so for Pepboys to drain my battery while doing the alignment, the truck had to be on for a while.I shouldnt have to pay $160 for a crappy service and laziness. I will NEVER recommend this Pep Boys to anyone.UPDATE: 3/9/2018 I looked at the work the tried to do but they didntt bleed the brakes properly. I also noticed they very slightly did damage to my frame(scuff marks) because I notice the shaving on passenger/driver side, in front the control arm and in the rear of the control arm. I can put spray paint but not going to let this go.3/4/2018-3/5/2018

I’m not sure what happened. I heard the place was good. But the first time I scheduled an appointment (three days ahead) then three days later drove to the place and they told me they had to reschdule cause the mechanic who does radio fixes wasn’t around. So I rescheduled for the week after since the guy at the counter (nice guy by the way) told me the radio mechanic would be in by then. I came the next week at the time of my appointment and they said they didn’t have my appointment on their logs. So I showed them the email confirmation I got and the desk guy just looked at my phone and then at his computer with a confused face. Then he told me the radio mechanic wasn’t around and that I should reschedule... I told him the exact same situation happened last week and that he told me the radio mechanic would be here today. He just told me to reschedule. I never went there again. Maybe you’ll have a better experience than me?

Made an appointment online to get my headlight bulbs put in. I stated in the comments of the appointment request that I already had my lights and just needed the labor done for it. Appointment was made no problem. When I arrived the man running the service desk barely looked up from his phone with a Can I help you I stated I had an appointment and he proceeded to ask what for? I explained to him exactly what was on my appointment request. He asked to see the lights I brought in and told me they were the wrong ones immediately. I know what lights I had and what I needed. They were indeed the correct ones. He clicked a few buttons on the computer after realizing he was wrong and said Yeah it says itll take 2.5 hours, so were not doing it. Ended up walking into the Montclair location and they took care of me in an hour. Super grateful for them especially with no notice. They even apologized profusely for the service guy at this location. If its not too far of a drive, Id say go to the Montclair location.

The repair shop employees are nice and do good work. If you ever have a problem they will fix it quickly. I use to take my car to the dealer, but Pep Boys in Pomona is more convenient. I have trusted them for many years and continue to use their services.

This was the first time I ever went to a Pepboys for an oil change. The only reason I went is because they had a coupon special. I was truly amazed at the performance of my minivan after the oil change. I have been driving it for almost 50,000 miles and this is the first time I noticed it to run so smooth. The person at the counter was quite respectful and knowledgeable. Service was quite prompt. I already referred my friend to go there.

I enjoy coming here because they recently just remodeled, so they just added 3,000 new automotive Parts of all varieties. Hernan,Paul,Martha and Larry are most informative helpful Employees with each having special characteristic. If I cant get a part at Auto Zone I come straight here. I cant say the same about mechanics departments avoid them they always rude. Asides from that come on stop by you wont regret it! Ps please take care of your Cars.

I was leaving on a long trip the next day so I needed my tire fixed that night. I called a PB closest to my house and spoke with the guy. He said they were closing in 15 minutes and to go to the one in Pomona or Montclair. They were open until 8pm. I quickly drove over to this location only to find out- they could not fix my tire, they were waiting for someone to come by. I asked if they could call the Montclair location, but even though their customer was no where in site~ he was not able to call for me. He barely gave me the number. I called Montclair who was too busy to take my tire, but said he could make an appointment for me at 8:00am. I will NEVER go back to this Pep Boys ever again. What has happened to customer service. I am at Tucker Tire in Covina. They have been professional, respectful & helpful. They are fixing my tire for free!!! I will be coming back here to get new tires in the winter since they did a free inspection letting me know my tread is wearing down!!!!!

Excellent service! I have been taking my Ford Focus and Acura Legend here for over a year and have been very satisfied with the service I receive! I recommend arriving in the early morning if you don’t like waiting too long. They will let you know if your car needs any type of repair or recommendations. Ordered some tires to replace my already bald ones online, I did so to avoid driving on the tires, and was told theyd be in the next day. Completing my order, I paid with my credit card as you would normally expect an online purchase to proceed. After I got purchase confirmation, they asked me to schedule my appointment for installation, which I did for next day. Went in the next day and Brian couldnt find them and said they should be here in a couple days.It then took over a week of harassing them to get someone to finally go get my tires from who knows where... I always spoke with Brian a d he continued to treat me like hed never heard frome before and I was a new customer. I was already seriously unimpressed with the customer service.Over the next week, driving became increasingly unruly until a pressure warning light came on. Checking the pressure, it went down to 16psi. I have no idea if they didnt seat the tire properly, or maybe didnt fill it up completely initially, but that night I went and topped it off. The next morning it was a little low again, so I suspected a slow leak. I then went to Costco to have them inspect it as I couldnt see any punctures. They found nothing and topped it off again with a little higher pressure. More pressure must have seated the bead or the valve stem because I havent had a problem since and just put well over 500 miles on the tires.Maybe the tech got careless on the one tire, Ill probably never know exactly what happened.. This was my first, and barring a stellar tire deal, last experience with these boys touching my babys shoes.

I really disappointed with this shop and NOT recommend. I visit on last Sat. 4:55pm to repair flat tire. They said we dont have time to repair flat tire. Pep Boys business hour is until 8:00pm. How long time they need repair flat tire? Maybe more than 3 hours..... So I ask if I left tire today, can I pick up on Monday? He said we dont have space to keep tire. You must come again other day. DO NOT try this shop to repair flat tire.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Called the store 15 minutes before closing as I was on my way. Was on hold till 7:59 when they auto hungup on me as I pulled into the parking lot. I was told by the employees it was too late. Terrible customer service. Tried to speak to the manager on duty but wasnt allowed too. Will avoid this place like the plague.

I had an appointment for alignment, and when i got there i was told that i had to wait 2 hours in order to get service. Then and hour after i asked to see if there was any progress on the waiting time; and i got the same answer, that i had to wait 2 more hours to get service. I notice that the personel in there dont reaaly care for my concerns, they were more into to talking between them and using their cell phone than attending customers.

Speed of service is embarrassing slow: oil charge took almost 2 hours and they didnt know how to put the oil filter back properly (VW GLI 2007). Prices over the phone are different (it becomes more expensive) from in person.Hosts are unprofessional (rude) and the place looks strangely dirty for an auto shop.

Not one person helped me on the store. I stood ar an empty register for a while without seeing anyone. First person I saw grief to pretend hee didnt see me and walked into the back. I finally took the bulbs I wanted to purchase to the auto service register to purchase it. I could have stolen it as there was no one arounf for a long while. Its sad because Im a loyal shopper of pep boys but I wont come back to this one. Only reason I have 2 stars was because the service department had some people that made me laugh. They were unprofessional, but not rude. The oil change was fast (although I did make an appointment) but I did have to upsale myself and no additional services were suggestedeven though I had 2 bulbs out, and could have probably used new wiper blades.

This pep boys has by far the worst customer service out of any pep boys Ive been too. I was going to leave one star but Martha is always nice to everyone. The service advisor with the hipster mustache is extremely rude and talks to you as if youre a waste of his time. The other employees arent as rude but are visibly bothered when you ask for help. I try and avoid this pep boys whenever I need something.

Online order was not ready after I was told to pick up the order as soon as possible by their email confirmation and also by their phone message. I was told to come back next day and the items would be here. Guess what it was not ready when I came back the next day. They made the same mistake twice, two days in a roll.
