Almost every vehicle I own has been worked on in some way or another by these folks. Their level of craftsmanship is impeccable. They stock all the best brands and are helpful in guiding folks towards what might be best for them if they are not familiar with these kind of things. Theyre really honest and theyve been here a very long time. I strongly recommend them. Theyre not the cheapest, but cheap labor aint skilled and skilled labor aint cheap. Never forget that.

I wanted to share my experience at this shop. I own an older Honda, not worth much, just sentimental value. Recently other cars like it have been targeted by thiefs for the catalytic converter. So I decided to get an alarm.Jesse originally helped me out, he was really cool. Understood I was on a budget and really worked with me and scheduled the appointment. When I brought in my Honda Jesse started working on it immediately and Mark the manager assisted me in the lobby. I ended up upgrading my alarm and even got my factory speakers replaced. Again, mark worked with me on my budget.Really great guys, from the work you can tell these guys are perfectionists. And from the way they interact and talk to you it shows they care about taking care of you whatever you drive.

My wife wanted a backup camera in our 2007 Hyundai minivan. Normally I would have installed it, but I had a lot of other stuff going on and frankly was excited at the thought of me not having to do the install. After reading reviews on different places I settled here. We went in and got a quote for a new Alpine double din head unit, backup camera, all installed for ~$750.We dropped off the van and they were done in a couple hours. When we went to pick up the van a person from the store showed my wife how to pair her phone and how to navigate the new stereo, however she noticed a hissing noise coming from the speakers. She asked the installer what that sound was and he says what sound? And when she told him the static/hissing noise he says oh yeah I figure you can just turn it up a little and drown it out. At volume zero it was silent, but as soon as we turned it to volume 1 the static was very noticeable, especially since we normally only have the music loud enough for us to hear, but also still speak over. This is a minivan, we have 3 kids who are always watching movies or talking to each other. We dont listen to music loud because were always talking or they are watching movies on long trips. So just turning up the volume isnt really an option. Our van has the premium stereo which has an external factory amp. We tried to live with the static for about a week before getting fed up and I brought it back to be fixed. The guy at the counter tells me its probably because of the factory amp, which they could bypass and install another amp for ~$350. I was ready to ditch the stereo and put the factory one back in.I would expect that a car stereo shop would know that a new stereo will effect the factory amp and may cause noise. However, I wasnt warned of that at all before they took the van. Instead they installed everything and when we asked about the noise we got shoulder shrugs, like that was expected. If I had known that was a potential issue then we would have been more prepared to deal with it or maybe even decide against the whole thing. We basically traded our perfectly working stereo system and no backup camera, for a backup camera and a stereo we dont want to listen to.I brought the van back and they tried a couple different things to get rid of the noise but nothing worked. We got our van back and they said there was a product online that may fix the issue, and we will get a call when they know how long before the item can be shipped.Well, that call never came. Its been 1 or 2 months now. I ended up removing and bypassing the factory amp myself as well as installed new speakers for about ~$200. It wasnt hard but it was tedious. So beware of your car has a premium sound system, they may not warn you of the side effects of installing a new high-output stereo. If we had known beforehand, I would have saved that $750 and just out in the stereo and camera myself instead of enjoying, for once, someone else working on the car. It just ended up being disappointing. The staff was fairly accommodating, but I do feel like they should have told us this could be an issue and also offer some way to remedy it in the end (different setup or backup camera that works with another screen so we can keep the factory head unit) but we felt like we were just brushed off after spending that much to make the stereo worse.

Contacted Custom Car Alarm for a mandatory Guidepoint upgrade. Mark had our equipment and scheduled me right in. I got stuck in traffic, arrived 30 min late, they kept my place in line. An anticipated hour wait was less than 45 min. Great communication and service. Worth traveling from Fremont for their professionalism.

I had a fantastic experience here. I bought a stereo and speakers at best buy but had such a negative experience I didnt want to have bb install. I called the first place I could find and scored with custom car alarms. They were friendly, knowledgeable and patient. They showed me how to use my new system and when I was having trouble later they counseled me thru my problems. Their prices were great too. Systems were cheaper than at best buy and so was the price of install!
