Michaels is a great place to pick up those last minute art supplies. I would give them five stars, but they are often out of stock on many basics. This might be because people are very bored these days. They do have an excellent selection of all sorts of different craft activity supplies you never thought you needed.The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.The website often will tell you what aisle you will find things in, too.Their prices are basic retail prices. Use coupons whenever possible.

Clean, well kept, well stocked. Floor staff is helpful and knowledgeable on their products. Balsa wood could use some restock, but considering the pandemic and everyone doing projects, I’m not mad.

The people are lovely. However, Michael’s corporate decided to wipe their entire database, so everything I purchased earlier in the frame shop is gone. This new system is terrible and my last framing was done wrong because they didn’t have the previous record of how my earlier pictures were done. This is not their fault, so it’s not this store I’m rating 1-star, but Michael’s as a company.

They had good quality frames I was looking for. One thing that would help is having more staff available to assist buyers in selecting products. Staff was very friendly.

They have pretty much everything youll need as a beginning arts and/or crafts hobbyist.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Even if they dont carry what youre looking for, they give suggestions on where else to try. On my last visit I walked in with a beading hanger that I didnt know the proper name of, and an employee told me what it was called and gave me a couple suggestions of websites that might have them. Fantastic store with super fantastic people!

This particular store was in the middle of an inventory count so the minor disarray of certain sections is forgiven. I tend to be critical of retailers, so 3 stars should be considered high praise. One criticism: no employees approached to ask whats the haps, and they lack a front door person to greet shoppers or explain any sanitization protocols. Signs on the door are insufficient, imo. On the plus side, their cashiers were courteous, professional and swift. Shelves were stocked and the place was generally clean. Would recommend this location to others, but be advised that the parking lot is a deathtrap. Park by Ross and endure the four minute walk.

Standard Michaels, Season changing so products with good discounts, and new merchandise coming on the shelves. Never seems to be enough staff to find somebody to give assistance.

Lots of stuff to choose from..Fun spot to get your creative juices flowing, if youre looking for something convenient to keep little hands busy.

Always a lot going on at Michaels, and most of it good. Just wish they hadnt removed the social distancing floor stickers. People forget right away to keep their distance.

I wont go into the other place even if the turn the lights on. This place is lots of craft. Another place might have more art supply but you have to be into art to find it.

Low inventory, a lot of stuff I came for was out of stock.

Our go-to store for projects, school supplies and art supplies. One in a while there are some great deals on frames. The seasonal section also has great deals when theyre doing inventory clearing. If youre like us with kids getting annoyed being home all the time, this is a great spot to get some crafting projects and get those kids busy. Your mental health will thank you for it.

Everything was stocked and very neat. Shelves looked full. Lots of store employees to help. One at the entrance to limit how many shoppers inside. Everyone cheerful with the holiday spirit.

Perfect experience! First time going to this Michaels. I loved the large variety, all the workers were friendly, even when I had already exited the store, a worker told me to have a great evening while outside. Parking is available, great Sunday hours.

The employees have always been very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable about the various crafts that interest us.The store itself is large and always well stocked.This is our go-to location and since the pandemic, we have downloaded their app and utilized their curbside pickup; which went seamlessly.

Shopped for knitting supplies for a project. Limited stock for what I needed. Had to make do with what was available for I needed. Otherwise, store was not crowded and check out didnt take long.

We dont live near this Michaels however we drove out to the store because they had something our local store did not have in stock. The clerk on the phone went out of her way to help us and held the item for us. She was awesome.. I love Michaels but especially the Pleasant Hil store now that I know they have great customer service!

SO many possibilities for crafters! It can be too easy to spend a fortune, so always look for coupons, use loyalty rewards & shop discounts, but most importantly keep to your list!

I went to Michaels to see what holiday items they had left from Black Friday. This is a wonderful fun filled store. They have everything art-like you can imagine and more. Their pricing is unmatched on many regular and sale items. Items that are normally considered costly like large picture frames are much more economical at this store. To top it off, their customer service is top notch and everyone is always cheerful and willing to help you. Great store. Highly recommend.

Tiny store with a lot of inventory. They have a great selection of craft supplies and frames. Their floral, seasonal, and candle departments are sufficient but Hobby Lobby has a much better selection. Their registers move slow during busy days despite using scanners to ring up items. Hobby Lobby always gets a bad rap for being slow (everything there is rung up manually) but I dont really see the advantage of scanners here.

Looking for acrylic paints. Selection was very poor. Lots of people must be painting with creativity!!

Plenty of parking. Lots of choices within walking distance for a bite to eat. Highly recommend this nifty craft store for anyone and everyone. Clean restrooms and handicapped parking available.

Expected some fresh new craft supplies ive seen online and their stock is out or low.

They have everything needed for any crafts. Whats better then glitter? More glitter of course according to my daughter. Its fun walking around and seeing all the different things they have. Toys, frames, fake plants, home decor items, candy, models, paint, yarn and allot more. Watch the prices as some items are a bit high priced. Check the website to find a coupon to use at check out!

Craft stores rock! I love crafts...and Michaels has a great selection of craft supplies. Lots of odds and ends like Hobby Lobby. Smooth checkout experience even when the line seems long due to all the attendants working the registers. Great for creative types who want to make their own jewelry or print their own t-shirts. Michaels has many items for those interested in doing crafts. Unfortunately they are extremely limited in true art supplies, such as oil or acrylic paints, brushes, canvases etc. It is a shame that instead they have an over flowing amount of aisles for fake flowers and many other such items. Also, it is extremely difficult to get anyone to help you as they seems to only have 2 people in the whole store sometimes. Today, the line was extremely long with only one cashier because (we were told), everyone was out to lunch.

The store is clean! The staff was knowledgeable about where things were when I asked for help. Some staff saw me trying to carry a bunch while pushing a stroller and offered to help! They even helped carry it out of the store for me!Minus the older grumpy lady at the picture counter in the back. Maybe she’s not having a good day. Maybe she hates her job. Idk. She never smiled an either ignored me when I asked questions or gave me the impression she was to busy to help. Not 100% sure so I can’t judge. But I won’t let one ehhhh employee determine the whole stores staff an vibes.Excited to keep coming back here for all my crafty needs!

I wanted to buy a fairy garden as a birthday present (those plastic sets that come with a fairy, a house, seeds, soil, and some other accessories to decorate the house). I asked for help 2 times since I couldn’t find these gardens. None of the staff members took me to the aisle, but told me to go by myself, and they both sent me to wrong aisles. Looks like they didn’t know the product I was looking for and decided not to engage with my me. After searching through the whole store, I found only one garden among very unlike products, and I ended buying another thing because the box was damaged.

Great selection if items, but not enough staff. Long chechbout lines, limited staff available to help you find items, and the store has an overall slightly messy feel (which I am guessing is due to so many customers and not enough staff). All that said, the selection is great and the prices are reasonable, so Ill still return.

Always enjoy visiting Micheals. The PH location is easy to get to, shares plenty of parking with other stores nearby, was not very crowded at noonish on a Tuesday. I went to pickup an online order, one other customer in front of me. Counter person helping that customer asked how they could help, told him there to pick up online order. He called Clark up from the back who promptly greeted me and asked what he could do for me. He went back and retrieved part of my order, and then went back to retrieve the remainder (12 BIG skeins of yarn). Very quick & polite. Great customer service on the phone too - verifying my order and pulling items from other stores to fulfill my order, calling to let me know order was ready in addition to email. Great, quick and easy visit today.

Very helpful staff

I love shopping at this Michaels for many reasons, but one of the main reasons is the phenomenal staff! Not only are they incredibly helpful & polite, but every employee that Ive ever asked for help or interacted with, has been very knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond to answer my questions or help me out!! They also carry everything you could possibly need for crafting, sewing, art, school projects, Etc... You name it, theyve got it!! And if for some reason they dont have what you need, then theyll gladly point you in the right direction where to find it! And the coupons/discounts are also great & theyre constantly putting out new ones with great offers!!

Shelves in the area I was looking were about 1/3 empty. (Baking aisle) . I was looking for 5 square baking pan and settled for 6 as they did not have the 5. The sales associate was helpful and cheerful. They had moved the baking section since I had been there last. The prices were reasonable. Since I was in a hurry I did not go in any other section of the store. However, based on my previous experience with the store I would recommend it.

Nice things, but little expensive

Much of the store was on sale or clearance. Felt a bit like a liquidation or preparation to close the store. (just my opinion, nothing concrete to go on)It’s odd that online orders have to be picked up in the farthest rear corner of the store in the framing department. Also, only one person was working in that area and there were a few of us in line. The ease of a typical online order/pick up wasn’t quite so easy here.As I worked my way back through the store, it felt scattered and disorganized. The random merchandise selections on display didn’t feel well thought out. They seem to have lost their way with a hodgepodge of cheaply produced items.And as usual, the checkout process at this particular Michaels is painfully slow and irritating. Regretted grabbing a sketchbook, A couple of art supplies, and a bottle of water because the time it takes to checkout just isn’t worth it.

They need to have a separate area for online pick ups. The whole point of having them get it ready is that I wanna go in pick it up and go. It was already paid for. I dont wanna wait in a long line with peeps that havent paid yet
