Very friendly atmosphere and staff. It was my daughters first time getting her eyes tested and they did a great job. For anyone looking to know, my daughter is 6. It was hard for me to find an office that would see a child under 7. They will see the child as long as they know the alphabet and colors. They gave us a really good deal even though they did not fully accept our insurance. I highly suggest them.

Overall loved the experience with Dr.Porter. Super fast in and out! He is very smart and likes to be detailed. Gave me amazing news that I’ve been wanting to hear and I’m so happy with my choice to go to him. This location has a great staff everyone is so nice and attentive. Today I picked up new glasses. I had the greatest experience. The gentleman remembered my name and was just as helpful with fitting my glasses as well as helping me find ones that were best suited for me. I highly recommend going there. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Today was my 2nd time here. First time I felt like the technician took a great deal of time to ensure my glasses selection was spot on. Didn’t feel pressured or like they were trying to ‘upsell’ me. Today I came in without an appointment just to adjust an old pair of specs. They greeted me when I arrived, set reasonable expectations on how long it would be, then got me in ahead of schedule. Great experience all around.

First visit: My family and I had the last 3 appt of the day and we totally felt rushed from the moment we walked in. My greeting was “what time was your appt” not Hello or what is your name. (I was on time) I was even told the Dr. leaves by a certain time which meant we each had 15 min. This was absurd for a first visit. Rushed, impersonal, not a relaxed atmosphere. We’ll see how our next appt goes.

I walked in explained to a staff member I was in for a eye exam with the doctor . No one at reception desk I started looking at frames, after 20 seconds I was told/asked to go to the eye exam reception area so I went to the desk and no one was there. I noticed that the office chairs at the counter were all torn and ripped up like they were found in a dumpster or side of the road !Looked very very bad . Real bad .when the receptionist came to the counter I explained the chairs look really rough she agreed. And said it’s bad .The doctor was a bit pushy . And a bit dry personality wise . He’s worked there 15 years he told me as I asked him . After exam I looked at glasses . I’ve been going to this place for my last 3 pairs of frames only. First visit for eye exam .I felt the selection was just ok. the store is half the size it used to be. Out of all the people I encountered there the receptionists and one person on the floor wore a smile and was friendly... other wise it was a cold experience and all about money at the exam and looking at frames and my new lenses that I didn’t buy from there . Going to look at other places and make a decision to go back .

Dr. Porter was pleasant and explained everything he was doing. I went with my son and he was very good with him and quite efficient. His office was clean and the staff were all very pleasant and polite. They also had a good selection of affordable and cute frames for adults; however the kids frames were limited.

Update:We reached out to customer care and now received a call from Visionworks and the fee is being refunded.Thank you---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If there was a negative star rating I would give this one. I and my husband did our annual eye check up here and got new glasses. Everything went well until then. My husband started feeling a discomfort in his left eye from the day he started wearing new glass and thought it could settle down after few days.The discomforts continued for almost two weeks and he visited Visionworks again and the technician verified his glass and confirmed the numbers on the left glass does not match prescription. He also confirmed the discomfort was caused due to the wrong number on the left glass and took it back for rework. The discomfort in the eye continued for next 3-4 days and my husband went back to Visionworks to see if they can help to reduce it. The doctor performed eye exam and said the discomfort was not caused by wrong glass. He didnt even check the previous records and suggested to take an image of both eyes($39 after insurance) which he had already taken 25 days back. When we mentioned about it he said not to take it again.They charged $65 saying the exam is not covered by insurance. The lady at the front desk didnt event show the patience to hear what we had to say. They are here just for money.They made a big mistake by giving a wrong glass and not ready to take the accountability for the same. On top of that they are greedy to make more money out of their mistake.

Dr. Porter was amazing! Very patient, knowledgeable and he is Board Certified! Great experience and I love my new frames. Also, the young man pursuing a degree in Computer Science is very professional and well mannered.

Very unorganized. Not prepared when giving exam. I called ahead and explained I was in need of a certain lens. Told they were equipped. Went thru exam and time looking for glasses. Then was told I needed to go somewhere else. They didn’t have what I needed. I told them I called ahead and Alex informed me that he was only responsible for his own actions and was very dismissive. I do not recommend this place

I was able to get the same day appointment I called that morning around 10:00 and set my appointment for 2:30. I was in and out ... It took no longer than 30 minutes. it actually took me longer to to decide which two pair of glasses I wanted.

I was very pleased with the welcoming staff and the immediate process to see the Dr. My daughters primary eye Dr could not see them until May so I made an appointment with Visionworks as they accepted VSP insurance.I would recommend Dr. Porter to anyone who wants a great experience with an eye doctor.

Sorry but i went to pick my glasses and the lady took the cloth out of the case when asked for it she said they havent got any for a while u just look at her. And said thank you.I spend $850 for my glasses. Cheap hide it i saw her.

Store was a little busy so there was a bit of a wait time but nothing excessive. The doctor was great, and this was my first time trying contacts and the guy that taught me how the put them in was great as well. Would love if the had more variety of designer glasses though and probably organized by the brand instead

This review has to do with customer service. First of all my appointment went great! The Dr was super nice and very helpful. The front desk girl that makes his appointment and collects payment wasn’t that friendly when I first met her, but I get it maybe she was having a bad day or she just isn’t a friendly person. I had no issues with my first appointment.Now Today I received a text message that my glasses were ready for pick up. I got to the place by 6:05pm and the door was locked. Now the sign on the door says it’s open till 8pm but I understand that due to Covid places are closing early, that’s no problem! There were customers inside waiting and one lady even tried to open the door for me but it was locked. The issue is that I was standing there looking at the 3 employees that were there and they didn’t even acknowledge me. I finally knocked on the door and the front desk girl that I met the first time looked at me, I waved at her and she told me to wait with her finger. She went to her other coworker and must of said, there’s someone at the door and she did a hand gesture like saying well we are closed. Then she went to the back grabbed her purse and turned off the lights of the other side of the office and left thru the side door. I was so furious now because she didn’t even come to help or see what I needed. The other employee called the couple that were waiting and didn’t even acknowledge me. Someone should of at least come to the door and say Sorry but we are closed, instead of just not saying nothing and not even acknowledge that I was there. I was only coming to pick up my glasses that were ready for pick up. I’m very disappointed with how they treated me.

The staff was polite, professional, and timely. The Dr was through, patient and took time to educate me on what he saw, sharing the digital photos and explaining them to me. I would recommend him to anyone.

Came to do my doctor exam and doesnt make send that after I check online and they have clipboard with the Care Credit logo they dont take it, so I have to paid cash...I dont think I will recommend it to anyone at all. Its false advertising.

It was my son first vision appointment ever. Hes sixteen years old,, and he was very nervous. Dr. Porter made my son feel very comfortable, and he was not nervous anymore. Terrible hours! Ive gone twice when the hours said they were open. Doors were locked, no one inside. Theyre not accommodating to the working public that cant take time off to be there between 11-5 and dont want to waste precious weekend days to be at Visionworks. Also, Im currently on hold with them. So far its 13 minutes and counting. The hold gave me plenty of time to write this review. I wont be back.

Excellent experience. Thorough eye exam and everything explained to my satisfaction. Easy process in picking out frames and lenses and explanation of products covered by insurance plan.

Doctor Porter is very efficient and has in our history provided exact prescriptions for good results. He is expedient and has been exceptional in calming my special needs daughter who is not an easy patient to examine. His methods of examination have been better than any other eye specialist we have used with a bonus of competitiveness in examination cost.

Good service when i went but i need copy of my Contacts Rx and cant get a hold of anyone.

Dr.Porter was wonderful. I like that I was able to get an appointment on the weekend. But Visionworks was terrible. With insurance they wanted to charge us $487 for one pair of regular glasses and $350 for the second pair. We went to a competitor and got 2 pairs with all the bells and whistles, plus one pair was safety construction glasses for $500. Don’t trust Visionworks.

Made an appointment with Dr Porter for an eye exam but more importantly to get a referral to see an Opthamologist regarding irritation in my right eye.. Dr Porter quickly diagnosed the problem and wrote a referral. He is very pleasant, professional & precise when conducting an examination. Excellent service!

First visit was good getting prescribed contact lenses but when I couldnt get one out stuck under eyelid, I stopped by asking for help. Doctor wanted $65 to take it out. I left and got it out with a lens removal tool from Amazon for $3. The technician there could have got it out for me in 5 seconds but she wasnt allowed to by the doctor.

I went to Vision works for the first time July 13, 2019. I ordered my glasses that day. Was told they will be in in 10 days. I am still waiting for the 2nd pair. We are now in August. Really???????? Get it together over there please. I understand having to wait but not for this long.

When I first visited Visionworks I did my eye exam and ordered glasses. Despite the 10 days quote, I recieved them much quicker! Ive also returned twice to have my glasses tighten and always felt welcomed. During my last visit, Celeste not only tighten my glasses but also aligned them and cleaned them so well its like a whole new pair!

He very pleasant. Explained everything to me. I was always comfortable. Yes, I would recommend him.

I had a wonderful experience as usual when i went for my appointment today. I was greeted when i walked in with a very friendly welcome by the manager. Crystal and Celeste are the best there both very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I love going to this location ive been going here for the past 3 years i wont go anywhere else. With over 4K covid cases in Florida yesterday ! You would think they would be taking the pandemic a bit more serious. Staff no mask or mask pulled down. At one point 22 people in the store just ridiculous and sad

Overall a very good experience. They have a huge quantity of discount frames. Staff on the retail side were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. On the clinical side, staff were ok. A retraining would help. As not understanding the equipment make Patients uncomfortable. Dr. Porter was proficient and workmanlike.

This place should be reported due to Medical Billing Fraud issues. I asked my insurance to call them to reconfirm the pricing and their statement was I provided them wrong insurance details verbally though they identified me correctly and another provider I called quoted me right price using same information. It seems to better to record every single phone call with people like this for court evidence.

The one star rating is due to the appointment making process. There does not seem to be a way to make an appointment online to pick up glasses, only for an eye exam. Ive now been on hold for 10 minutes and counting.....
