Alert Tire, Plant City: We had a great experience here. There are several occurrences lately where people are being treated badly at restaurants and convenience stores and out of frustration having to come to social media to help get it resolved. So I wanted to take a moment to call out a company going above and beyond for their customers. First, their prices were competitive or in several cases better than others in the area. They also had to locate our tires in 2 different locations (South Carolina and Jacksonville) and worked to get them here without my having to pay extra freight. And then there was a misunderstanding where we thought we had paid for alignment and after picking up our vehicle, our car was pulling to the left. We called to see if they would fix it. They of course, did. But when they were going to charge us for the alignment, we were confused thinking we had already paid for it. And he checked the invoice that showed we had not, we had only paid for the balancing of the 2 old tires that hadn’t been replaced and that remained on the vehicle. But because there was confusion, Brandon didn’t charge us for the alignment. I was shocked that a company still values the customer experience over being “right” (Which they were.) My husband called back to let them know we had misunderstood and we didn’t want them to eat the cost. Brandon still said no, that at the end of the day, he wanted the customer to have a good experience. So, I want to recommend everyone to get their tires done at Alert Tire in Plant City. We have happily bought tires there before, but this was above and beyond great customer service.

Requested an alignment and brake inspection after which I approved the alignment but declined brake work. Upon paying for the service I questioned the price of over $150 for an alignment and was advised it included a charge for the brake inspection, so I paid the bill. Upon looking closer I noted that I was charged $24.95 for brake inspection labor and $24.95 for brake parts. No work or parts for the brakes was received other than the inspection. I questioned why I was charged for brake parts and was told it was for inspecting the calipers. Isnt that labor? They declined to make any change to the bill for parts which I didnt receive. I understand a charge for the inspection, but I think I was overcharged for nonexistent parts. I had already paid the bill so I lost $24.95.

They wont use parts you bring in if ur trying to save money. But oil change price was reasonable.

I really dont appreciate asking them to take a look at my truck and then when I go to see what they said they charged me an assessment fee that they never told me about. not good. Needless to say I did not continue with the repair and I will take my business somewhere else.

Had the upper control arm replaced on my truck. When I got the truck back it had developed a vacuum leak in the 4x4 system the leak was a broken vacuum line that was broken during the repair. Was told that there was no vacuum lines near the upper control arm. Told to bring it back for a smoke test for $129. Took the truck somewhere else and had it diagnosed (broken vacuum line along the upper control arm) and repaired from $75. Will never use Alert again.

I called Friday afternoon looking for tires that are hard to find right now, they had them shipped in house in 2 hours. Made my appointment for Monday at 7 as soon as they open. I was seen and taken care of promptly, out before 9 oclock. They also beat the cheapest price by almost 200 dollars.

Very thankful for their services! They were very reasonably priced, very welcoming and the lobby was very comfortable for myself and my 11 month old daughter. I was in and out. I didnt feel pressured or rushed. If my daughter got fussy they waited and then continued. They made me feel very comfortable in such a stressful situation. Will definitely be returning!! Thank you!

Alert Tire lowered my 81 chevy,installed new wheels and tires, aligned,fixed a power steering leak, and fixed an oil leak on my intake, rerouted my exhaust, installed new alternator, new fuel pump, all new fluids. My truck has never run this good. Thanks Alert Tire.

I took my 2018 Honda Accord in late on Friday afternoon to get a tire plugged and they told me they were super busy but they would try to fit me in, I waited maybe 30 minutes and they were done! I was so happy to get it done before the weekend, I appreciate you guys!!!

We have used Alert tures for 25 years and will NEVER go back. Went to get new tires put on got a call saying my back breaks were metal on metal. We had just picked it up from the shop! Drove back to Alert Tires asked to look at the back breaks and they were fine plenty of padding left. Wonder how much money they have scammed us out of over the last 25 years. NEVER AGAIN. Dont use them!!

I recently have had some issues with a few error codes and some wacky problems all at 1 time . towed it down to alert to have it checked, it was in a bay as soon as the techs arrived they couldnt put a finger on my exact issue at first but i personally put new plugs in non a/c delco brand in it and wouldnt you know that was part of the issue. I was ready to replace some parts based on the reactions of my truck and they made sure i knew that they do not fix based on an assumption. Most shops will pitch the sales of anything and may not be your problem. Big thumbs up from me and my family, definitely recommend to all who wants honest mechanic shop in or around plant city. Charged over $250 just to look & diagnose my vehicle, but still couldnt tell us what was wrong with it after paying all that money, just wanted us to keep handing over money. Used to like this place but seems super shady now.

Its already a bad day when you plan to go on the boat for some fun and all of a sudden the trailer breaks on I-4, but it usually means its going to get worse being at a mechanic where you are never sure if they are taking advantage of you. This is not that kind of place. We broke down and had to be towed. When I called them, they were super helpful. When we got there, they were even better. They looked at it right away hoping it would be an easy fix so we could get back to our plans. After they figured out the problem they gave us options. Not just the we are at your mercy type options either. They told us the worst case scenario and when a better solution was available they brought it to our attention so we could save money. We really felt like we could trust what they were saying. They were knowledgeable and extremely friendly. This was not an easy fix but they did it quickly. I dont live in Plant City but I would make the trip from Winter Haven to have them as our mechanic from now on. These are the types of people you know you can trust. The day could have been worse but Alert Tire really made it better. Thank you guys.

Wouldnt take my car anywhere else. These are the most honest and fair folks I have ever encountered in automotive repair and I am old. If it aint broke they dont fix it . You dont often find that . When you get at least 200 k out of every vehicle its good to know that they are there for you .

Called because after hurricane Irene I had a flat tire and wanted to see if they could help me and ask a couple questions. I spoke with Bill who told me they didnt have the kind of tire I needed which was fine. I proceeded to ask a couple quick questions and was interrupted by Bill who told me he was working on one phone line and basically my questions unwanted. I will never give Alert Tire my business. You would think after a hurricane when people are in need of help, no matter how small, people would have a little bit of courtesy.

Excellent service technician there named Joshua Woodard. I was dropping off a load at Marjon speciality foods and even though he was exhausted from working on a tire there he answered many questions I had about my tires on my truck and even checked the pressure in my steers for free! My tires are all ok right now but Im saving your card and will definitely be back in a few months for the drive tires we discussed! Thanks!

I WOULD DRIVE MY TRUCK ON RIMS WITH NO TIRE BEFORE I WOULD DEAL WITH THE A HOLE I TALKED TO ON THE PHONE NOT ONCE BUT TWICE I HAVE TRIED TO GO THERE ONLY GOT RUN AROUND HOW HE HAVE TO PAY HIS GUY OVERTIME {REALLY}. CLOSE IN 53 min. Ok well Im only ten min away. BUT they dont bother to ask that!! I WILL NEVER GO THERE!!! SAD FACT I TOTALY TRY SUPPORT THE LOCAL BUSINESS UNFORTUNATELY WONT BE THIS ONE!

About 10 years ago I wouldnt go anywhere but this shop. A lot of new staff and they were extremely slow. I cant say there my favorite anymore. What happened to the old days?
