This was our first visit to buy a lamp. If they dont have the make/model/brand you want you dont need it. We were familiar with the store in the past to get a unique light bulb for a nightstand lamp. So when it was time to get new floor lamp we stopped by during a sale. Good for us. On a very busy Sat with lots of customers the staff took care of use, paid and help get the box out to the car. Excellent customer service. As best I could tell the staff was focused on customer service and helping as many as possible. If you dont want to be crowded I would guess a week day when no sale is in progress to linger and wander around. Find what you want and then come back during the sale.

This place is a superstore! It is not large by Texas measures, but it has so much beyond you can even imagine. It has pendants, lamps, sconces, fans, pillows, arm chairs, mirrors and LED bulbs. To name everything they have, hundreds and hundreds items, you would spend at least an hour. All prices are clearly marked, and there are many discounted items, so you can buy something in a range between $10 and $7,000, depending on the item. Some unique items can be found only here.

This was my first time shopping at Lamps Plus. It was great, easy, and fast. My lighting specialist made everything simple and quick. She was awesome. I would definitely recommend Lamps Plus for a great shopping experience!

I was in your store on Friday. Was helped by an older white woman and an older white man. Both acted as if they had better things to do than help me. They acted annoyed and as if I was bothersome. Both treated me like I was unimportant or like my money did spend the same way as others. I told the lady that I had purchased a light fixture for $50, the same one they had in their store for almost $500. She act like she was mad that I got a deal. I did not want to spend my money there but the next store was in Arlington. There was a pregnant woman in the store who was extremely helpful, she was cheerful and greeted me with a smile. I actually saw her when I visited the store before. She is the reason I stayed and browsed. I am a customer and yes I had money to spend. Before I got to the store I knew what I wanted and was directed to the store. I hate to be treated as if I am unimportant and broke. My name is Dr. Yulya Bushnell and I believe in customer service!

Lamps Plus is awesome. They have all price range of lights. Ceilings, lamps, floor lamps, vanity lights, fans, undermount lights, mirrors etc. My rep was Yan he was very helpful and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend this store.

I visited here looking for a smart floor lamp. They didnt have what I was looking for. But, the wide selection of ceiling fans, chandeliers, light fixtures, etc. was enormous, and is certainly a place I will surely revisit when I start remodeling my home.

Of course with all the lights, its a pretty store. Too pricey for me though for what I was looking for, so I left empty handed. But a good place to try if looking for interesting or unique lighting.

The buying experience was easy and the Salesperson placed the order for our lights for us. We were told that if we didnt like the lights, we could bring them back to the store for a refund. Unfortunately, we were not told theres a $50 restocking fee per item and we had 3 items. We returned them to the store and no attempt was made even when we asked to resolve the excessive multitude of fees charged to return an item in perfect condition.3-15-21 Update on experience-we were contacted by the Store Mgr to discuss how to provide a better service experience. He was genuinely concerned and offered some options that we believed were fair. I was impressed that we heard back based on our rating feedback. I have changed my rating to indicate the effort to work with us.

So many lamps to choose from. In fact, too many. It is hard to pick out lights because there are so many so close together. I opted to just use the website. It was much easier, plus all the items I wanted online where not on display anyway.

I have ordered a dining table that’s over $2000.00 end of December 2020, the delivery date was January 15,2021 until today April 19,2021 I have not received the dining table. Every month they keep on delaying the date. I totally understand the pandemic situation and the shortage of a lot items being shipped to the USA, but if you don’t have this item on hand just let me know to cancel the order and not keep giving me hope that it will arrive!! If they had an option of ZERO star I would have given it to them!!! Unfortunately horrible service and professional liars!!!

I have been to this location several times. The last two visits have convinced me to never go back. Several months ago I went to buy a table lamp and the employees were chatting together at the register and let me stand there for several minutes before finally telling me I needed to go to another register so I left without the lamp. I ordered one from a different company. Today I went to buy a table lamp. Again, no employee around to assist on the floor as the couple of employees I saw were busy with other customers. I identified a floor lamp. I go to the register and wait patiently only to finally make it to the front of the line and be told by the clerk maam just wait a few minutes so he proceeded to something on his computer and pick up the phone but he never spoke to anyone on the phone. So again I left without a lamp after again waiting for several minutes with no service given to the customer in front of him that wanted to make the simplest of straightforward no real questions or service neede just a take my money purchase. I give up.

Lamps Plus in Plano is a great store. It is filled with light, great selection of products, good music and a fantastic sales team. Steve Waldren our sales specialist was very knowledgeable, patient and helpful. He listened to our needs and help determine which lights would be best for our space.

From the very beginning Edith noticed us and immediately tended to us. I loved her she was so nice and the chandelier we wanted wasn’t in store but I told her we needed it the next day and she made everything happen ASAP! Our cashier and the guy that brought down a lamp for us was also great! They have very beautiful lamps and chandeliers!

This is the 1st time i have ever made an online review.I ordered 2 outdoor lights. Went today to pick them up. Waited 10 minutes for anyone to even look up to wait on me. Finally the male representative looked up from his computer.I told him i was picking up an order. Waited another 15 - 20 minutes for them to find my order. Finally the male representative checked me out & i was due a credit because the 2 lights were on sale. He carried the boxes to my car. Never said thank you or anything. There is no need to be anything other than courteous but you would expect the attendant to be grateful for customers, especially when you look at all of the empty businesses in this shopping center.

Very bad customer service Monday store hours posted close at 7pm but kick my 75 yr old mom out @5pm. I had drop of her @4:30 thinking she has til 7pm. Without notice they rushed her out in 40 degree weather. She asked to stay inside until I picked her up I was 5 miles away when she called saying their suddenly closing 2 hours earlier. They refused to wait 6mins for me to get there before making her wait out in the cold. Shameful, lack of compassion.

Bought 2 ceiling fans on a Monday. They didn’t have them in stock so rep placed the order online and said they would be delivered by Friday. I had previously scheduled an electrician for Wednesday to do three jobs, one of which was to run power to my pergola and install a ceiling fan. Knowing that the fans wouldn’t come until Friday, I rescheduled the electrician for the following Monday. The fans didn’t come on Friday and I received a notice saying they would be delivered Sunday. On Sunday I get a notice saying they would be delivered on Monday. On Monday my electrician came and did his work and was done at 3:30, fans still hasn’t arrived. I called the store to explain my dissatisfaction and the managers response was “How bout I give you a few light bulbs to make it right?” Must be nice to have so much business that you don’t have to take care of the customer after the sale!

We were searching for new light fixtures for our entire house - interior and exterior. I had an idea of what I wanted, but I wanted to browse the store and take my time searching for the perfect pieces for our home. The sales people who greeted us initially were very nice. I told them wanted just look around and find what we want. However, every few minutes we were asked if we needed help. I had to tell them at least 10 times within a span of half an hour that we were still shopping. It was incredibly frustrating to not be able to shop around and take my time. I felt rushed and like they werent respectful of my desire to shop their store and look at all of the selection. I became so annoyed with the amount of times the same sales lady approached me that I finally just left the store. Its a shame I couldnt give this store my business because the selection is good.

I almost don’t know where to begin... Every time I walk in the store, I feel like I’m being “sized up” by the sales people as to whether they should even bother with me or not. I suppose this is how it is with sales people who work on commission. More often than not, I have to do the approaching if I have a question or need help. Once I have someone’s attention and I have my questions answered, I sometimes say that I need a few minutes to think about it. At that point, the sales person disappears and is never to be found again. So I start over with someone else, who doesn’t really seem to care, even if it’s obvious that I’m about to make a purchase. (Maybe they think that they’re not going to get credit for the sale)?When I approach the service desk to pay, I am not greeted and I have to wait for someone to look up and decide whether they are too busy to help me or not. After a few awkward moments, someone, almost reluctantly, asks if they can help me. I have to basically interview with them, and repeatedly tell them that no, I don’t need to buy any light bulbs, before I finally have a receipt in hand and can leave the store with my merchandise. It’s pretty much a miserable experience and I honestly don’t know how this store stays in business!

This place has every imaginable light and fixture. Many more lights than big box stores and most of a higher quality (no plastic). While the web site has the lights, its always nice to see and touch a light fixture.

Just be aware that LED lamps that hang over a picture may not retain the battery for very long!!! I contacted Lamps Plus and they said since the manufacturer doesnt state the length of the battery life there is nothing they can do. I use the best of the best of batteries and ever re-chargeable ones but they do not last very long - just a few hours - not even 24 hours.

Excellent service! I needed new light fixtures in a house we had recently purchased. I used the In-Home Consultation link at the bottom of their website and within a few days, Im sending Pansy pictures of my house to get her opinion on all of my needs! She was able to superimpose images of the lights she suggested over my current fixtures so I could see what it would look like! I kept adding to her list of what I needed to replace, and we decided a home visit would be best, so she came out that same day! Pansy walked me through the house and taught me all sorts of lighting design tips I never knew! And gave me insights specific to my house...for example, like my house color pallate isnt right for white fixtures, as it would make the countertops look dirty (I thought white was always good!) AND that I need a shorter fixture at my front door entry because of the way the house is designed.) And she has been in interior design for 20 plus years, so she knows all design! With her help, I got the peace of mind that I was not spending money on mistakes! I also appreciate that she did not push anything on me, and she didnt start with the most expensive features just to see if I would buy them, but chose fantastic options at very good prices. Do not buy from lamp plus. Ordered a $600 fan, received defective. Sent back in August for replacement. It’s November, no fan, no money back no communication. Worst customer service

Had visited their website looking for a particular style lamp and found one. Went to the Plano store late Sunday and fortunately they had them in stock. There wasnt any sales personal going around asking if anyone needed assistance, so I went up to the register and found a man who was finishing up some work and helped us. Wanted to see what the lamp looked like actually plugged in with a bulb, so he went to the back and got one, brought it out and plugged in the lamp. Agreed to purchase two of them (that were not floor models). So he went to the back and brought two out. One was fine, the other one was crooked. He had to bring out at least two others before I found one that was not crooked. Unfortunately, after the purchase and getting them home, found some minor deformities on the base of one of them. If they would have been for me personally, I would have taken it back (without hesitation), but since I was buying them for a friend and they were okay with it, wont bother with an exchange. This is what happens when all of these cheap materials are imported mostly from China. So, be careful and examine everything closely before you finalize your purchase. The man helping was very nice, courteous and accommodating - and plugged in the final selection of lamps with bulbs prior to finalizing the purchase. I only gave 4 stars due to the lack of quality. Over all a good first experience with this retailer.

Do not deal with this people at all: they double charged me for an order and then refused to cancel the double charge. Even with them having the merchandise on order, they would not cancel the order or correct the double charge. Awful company to deal with; this is why Amazon is killing stores like these. The salesperson we had did not want to be bothered in correcting and their corporate call center would not cancel the double charge either.

My husband and I just visited the Plano Road (1705 Preston Road) location in Plano, TX. While we were greeted immediately at the door by a sales representative, his behavior toward us was rude and very dismissive. He did not take the proper time to answer our questions. When he did answer our questions, he was quite curt. Further, he directed his answers to my husband (who didnt ask the questions) and acted as if I was invisible. I am highly disappointed with this experience and will not return to this location. The managers of this location should consider training its employees to improve their customer service.

We went in looking for light fixtures and fans. Not one person ever approached us to help us the whole twenty minutes we were in there. We did try to talk to a sales woman but she was on her cell phone and put up her finger as if to say Im busy. Yes, we could see that but a Ill be with you soon would have been nice. Finally we gave up, left and went elsewhere to shop.

After reading some of these posts I was skeptical to go into Lamps Plus. However, I personally had a great experience and saw a great selection of lamps at a fair price. I found two great bargains at an awesome cost, a lamp and a chair. I also bought two other lamps which didnt fit my master bedroom decor and I asked the sales person if they didnt fit I can return them back. He said yes. I took them back the following morning and Lamp Plus deposited my money right away that same day into my account. On the other hand, other places take up to seven days to refund your money back or no returns. My recommendation is to go early. I went right at 9:00 a.m. when they were opening the store and there was plenty of people there to help me. I would recommend Lamp Plus to anyone since they exceeded my expectations.

We have bought ceiling fans and lamps here over the last few years as we remodel our house. They have a great selection and a friendly and helpful staff. Best to buy their stuff when it is on sale. They have sales all the time.

Although we were greeted by no less than five different people, when we were ready with questions it took forever to pin someone down. We wanted to ask about something and they just wanted to ring us up. Im guessing they work on commission and if they dont then something needs to be fixed. We bought 7 outdoor lights, 4 were in stock. 2 others were delivered to us at home. After we were installing them, I realized we forgot the upstairs porch and easily ordered another ceiling mounted fixture from their website with no problems.They had a lot to choose from and their prices were pretty good unlike a lot of other lighting stores had been in. The lights were shipped quickly and easy to install. They look great on my house.

OK, so walked in to get some lampshades and, an hour later, walked out with one lampshade - and several very cool decor items. They have an incredible assortment of lighting, some mirrors, many cool furnishings, and unique decor items. I will agree with another reviewer that customer service - like even trying to check out - is subpar, which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.Ill still go back! Got my eye on some black lampshades....

There is a door bell on the front door to notify employees when a customer enters. It was not effective! My wife and I walked through the store for almost 20 minutes and no one acknowledged our presence, much less attempted to assist.Lost out on our business!

I ordered a table from Lamps Plus a month ago, and originally received it damaged. They wouldn’t send me a new one until the return was processed which took a little over a week. Finally I received my 2nd table and it too was damaged. I wouldn’t recommend ordering anything from Lamps Plus unless you don’t mind damaged products and poor customer service.

I went in to get some replacement bulb for a light fixture that I bought there today. It was so darn hot in there that I could barely stand it. The sales guy - Steve??? - was really helpful with my purchase and apologized for the heat.

Bought a coffee table glass tray and less than two days the base separated and broke. Not only the tray broke also my two glass art works broke that was inside of the tray. Everything in it was less than 5 pounds. Lamp pulse = cheep Chinese product

In the last two years I have bought 7 fans from Lamps Plus. Two of them were Casa Veja (Lamps Plus brand) outdoor fans. One of the outdoor fans stopped working just barely (two months) out of warranty. They suggested I call the Casa Veja hotline for help. I called and left messages at the number given over a two week period with no response. I called the store hoping to speak to a general manager about what to do. They said they can’t do anything because the fan is out of warranty and they didn’t install it. (At $150 X 7 a fan for install, I decided to let my handyman install them). I had said handyman back to look at fan and he believes motor is dead. While I realize they may not be required to do anything, I was hoping due to customer loyalty I might be offered at least a discount towards a new fan. Nope...nada! I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I was looking for black lampshades for my two lamps. I walked in and three employees never greeted me. I then inquired if someone could assist me. I was passed off to an older woman, who informed me were the lampshades where. She told me she would be over to assist, as I bought my lamp from home to get a percise fit. Minutes later, a new lady came over. She asked what style and color. Unfortunately, my color choice wasnt up to her standards, as she told me why I would choose this color for this lampshade. I appreciate the feedback, however the customer service was not helpful and showed no enthusiasm. This was my personal experience.

Great selection, a little over price. But you tend to find some hidden gems for the right price. Staff is not really helpful, not sure if me showing up 30 mins before close has anything to do with it (but I would think they want my business. ended up spending $300+ that day). Unless they see the intend for you buy, then the story changes. My advise, if you can find it online... Pull the trigger and avoid coming here. Unless, you want the actual product look and feel. like I did.
