Food was awesome with a friendly staff, great market and grill.

Do not eat food here. You may get sick. Very stale food. The kebabs may be made fresh to order but not sure how long they have been sitting in the fridge. We got the lamb kebab and literally ate one bite and threw out the whole thing. It was weeks old and stale and dry and for $16 bucks a platter one would expect better. So dissapointed.

Their food was better years ago, not anymore. Hope they change their management

I have gone to all of the Mediterranean restaurants in Dallas over the years and this place is consistently good. I usually go during the lunch buffet and ask for fresh kabob and they make it great every time. They own the market next door with the butcher shop, so the meat is always fresh. I definitely recommend them!

Worst Mediterranean food I ever had! I invited a friend to this place because we simply wanted to try new places. Kabob Kobideh was so dry that I could not digest it and my friends Soltani was hard as a tire! I was ashamed in front of my friend! Never recommend this place to anyone!

This is the worst Mediterranean restaurant and store i bought a big can of ghormeh sabzi the for $59 expiration date was 2020 I dont understand how they dare to sell expirated item to the peoples.

This review is for both store and restaurant. Here is what you expect from the store. Very direct shelves and bad quality produce, good selection of dried goods and teas, dirty freezers and floor but products are fine. The prices are higher than other Persian stores. The breads that the make in house are good but the one they get from their vendors are usually old. This place can use some maintenance and keep floor and shelves clean and nicely stacked. Restrooms were dirty like a public park bathroom. My feedback to the owners. Keep shelves and floor clean, make sure everything is neatly stacked, it will appeal more buyers.As far as the restaurant, it is good and nothing really negative about it.

There were a couple of things that warrants a 1 star review for this restaurant:1. Prices listed on the online menu did not match with what we were charged. $11.95 for each item was what was listed online, We were charged $14.95 for each item.2. We ordered two items, each comes with two skewers. Looking at the box, we got less food than we ordered.3. Taste wise, we couldn’t eat the food. Maybe we got a bad batch, but we had to throw it away and resort to eating about a week old leftover.

It is on my route and I go there to get tea and dry goods. The staff have been friendly and the prices are reasonable. Last time I was disappointed that there wasnt much mask use. Either staff werent masked or were wearing it under chin until I got close. Covid is airborne not a magic bubble six feet around people. Not sure if Ill go back.I would definitely not eat at restaurant if this is the attitude toward food safety.

Stopped here to get quick lunch and was surprised to learn they served buffet as well. Buffet price was only $11.99 and i would say it’s totally worth it. Menu included lamb shank, goat stew, chicken kabob, lamb chops, sweet rice, regular Persian rice, lots of salad options and more. Don’t expect high quality food, for the price it was satisfying. The waitress was very nice and looked after me nicely. The decor and ambiance of the place is fairly good as well. Definitely recommend it.

This restaurant had the best Turkish food around! The owner will even come out and make sure everything was wonderful. The service is exceptional!The grocery store is nice, too. You can find the ingredients to make your favorite Mediterranean dishes, that are hard to find elsewhere. Great store. Thanks!

This place is far from me but I make the trip weekly! I can usually find everything I need and new things to try. Owner is engaged with his customers, friendly and helpful (and funny!). Hes even given me recipe ideas! Just tried the café for the first time, it was great! Get a sabzi plate and the house speciality kabobs, next stop heaven!

Best Mediterranean food and Kabob in Portland. The koobideh kabob melts in your mouth and they use grass fed beef. Sylvester the owner is a great guy and his bartenders never disappoint. Love this place.

This is a gem of a Mediterranean restaurant hidden in Plano. At the time of writing, there is a buffet during generous lunch hours of 11am to 3:30pm. Im an Asian American and therefore not necessarily qualified to speak on the authenticity of the food, but I find their hummus and yogurt absolutely delicious. Kebabs are juicy when they hit the buffet bar, there is a saffron barley soup that is golden, hearty, and delicious. I rarely eat buffets anymore, but find myself coming back here every 1 to 2 months when my cravings for a juicy kebab and saffron barley soup reach critical mass.

We have had a great customer service each time visiting shandiz. They are very welcoming, kind and respectful that I drove for an hour just to buy my Persian groceries from Shandiz.

Best Mediterranean food, ever. Large portions of great appetizers to share! The combination kabobs are a delight and the pitas with the gigantic plate of saffron rice are remarkable! The owner is a VERY interesting character and a great conversationalist! I absolutely consider it MY go to Mediterranean restaurant. Beef and chicken kabobs were very good. Rice, grilled tomatoes, onions were good sides. Portions were larger than expected. The Flatbread was too dry. Overall, Id recommend and return.

The decor and food looks great in the magazines. But not that much in reality. The different varieties of dishes are not labeled... so if you don’t know anything about Mediterranean food... only guarantee in meats is there will be no Pork...I consider myself with good taste buds. But I was confused on some meat ; if it was beef or lamb or mix of it :)There’s fountain just inside the doors.... only good thing is the noise it makes.... otherwise .. all the bubbles and set up is only so so.Food ... was ok.

The food and atmosphere are wonderful...But our experience was horrible. The waitress wrote in a tip of twenty percent for herself. When we asked her why this was the case, she just told us to cross it out and write in our own tip. She had also written that it was a party of eleven on the top of the check paper, even though we were originally only four.

The aisles were not fully stocked, there were expired food items... So check before you buy. Also, the older gentleman checking us out told my husband very sexist comments as I was standing next to him and thought it was funny.... Looks like people work outdated ideas work or own this place.

Wife and I go here often. We loved the kubbedah kabob and the combination kabobs.Food is always great and the staff are always friendly. Never a bad expect and we always seem to go when there is no one else there so its very quite and relaxing for dinner or lunch.I highly recommend for great Mediterranean food.

Chicken kebab, saffron rice, delish! The side of mint leaves & red onion topped it off with the nan that has a wheat/whole grain tasting quality ive not tasted before.the portions of the entire meal were enough to share or have leftovers. Definitely will re-,visit

We went to Shandiz with my in-laws and it was so good! The staff was very friendly and hospitable. They even gave my son some free cookies! The buffet was not expensive at all and everything I tried was delicious! The market was also so much fun! They have a good variety of quality products and fresh baked goods! Well definitely be going back for more feta, olives, and pita!!

Best kabobs and lamb dishes anywhere in Texas!!Update: The lamb chops are very rare, the lamb shanks are tasteless, the BBQ chicken is not served anymore. The only good thing left here is Beef Kabobs. Its sad to see a restaurant throw so much money at meat but not try to work on taste. Lamb is probably the most valuable meat and its gotta be somewhat flavorful. I will try again in a few months and if its still same will completely avoid it.

This place is very dirty I came here with my two coworkers for lunch and our place was dirty, the table needed to be wiped off, and there was crumbs of food and plastic everywhere on the floor this. This place is not sanitary and needs to be cleaned I would not come back here again

They have buffets during lunch hours with quiet a good variety. The food was warm and mostly tasty. However the facility and utensils themselves are old. The waiting staff didnt seem to be above par with slow service. I would recommend to go here for good food.

The ice cream I bought from the grocery side was completely rancid. So I go to eat the kabobs I brought home and theyre literally the worst kabobs Ive ever had...the meat tastes old like its gone bad. I had to stop eating bc I got nauseous. Seriously check your product
