This new location is so nice. There is a huge selection of all types of sporting equipment. The prices seemed very reasonable.

Ive made purchases and sold old gear to these guys for 12-15 years. This is the first time Ive been treated with complete disrespect. Josh was always nice and helpful, but the other manager/owner was rude and acted irritated that I was bothering him coming back from lunch. I walked in with 3 sticks that still retail for over $200 in store and a set of 2011 left handed Taylormade irons. I was offered $200 for all of it. When I said that I pass on making the sale to them, the owner tossed my stuff on the counter and said sorry I cant sale these. The sticks were used 1 time by me and in perfect condition. I mean not a scratch or chip on them. Literally used one time. I will not being coming here again.

I went for the Disc Golf section specifically but they had a great selection of a little bit of everything from what I could see. Tons of nice new and used discs available to choose from. Definitely worth checking out. I even sold them some of my used discs for a generous amount of store credit towards my purchase. 👌🏼🥏⛓️

Absolutely fantastic service and selection. Ive been in three times in the last week decking out my daughter in softball gear. The gentleman I spoke to each time was very knowledgeable and friendly. My daughter is new to the sport so I had many questions and he confidently answered them all and also pointed me to products that saved me money. Please check this place out to save money on slightly used gear. They also have new as well. Ill keep coming back!

Bought a full set of used clubs a couple of months ago to take up golf again in my later years of life. Manager was very helpful guiding me and did not try to force me into more expensive clubs. I returned yesterday in need of a couple of upgrades and again got good advice. I am still learning the game but the same manager helped me and instead of pushing me into a $30 club he let me take a $10 one as I need to see if I like it. This is smart business and he/they have earned my loyalty. For the record I had checked two of their competition and this store has, by far, the most and best variety of inventory when it comes to golfing gear. Others might have a few things cheaper, but they totally lack inventory. One place begged me to sell my old existing clubs. Its not always about price you know. Service and quality top price in my book, every time. See you again when I break 100 (shot a 107 today).

In the past I’ve had average experiences here and have always come back here for a bargain. Recently made the attempt to sell some golf clubs here and was really disappointed with the experience. My issue wasn’t with the price I was offered but the fact that all my clubs were removed from my bag. When I declined the offer it was now my responsibility to take all my clubs off the counter and put them back in my bag. All the driver covers were removed and left lying there. If you want okay prices go here. If you want decent customer service go elsewhere.

This place is my place for sports equipment. Did not think i would find adult football helmets or adult football pads considering most schools will require adult pads now. Managers, Eric and Josh are extremely helpful and know sports. One particular employee by the name of Ryan, young kid, didnt get his last name, was very nice and professional for a kid, and helped fit my son for hockey pads. All padding was a perfect fit.

This place has been around since before I started playing hockey when i was a kid, and its still here years later when Im picking the sport back up as an adult. Sold my skates to them the other day and got some gloves and a stick. Glad theyre still around

Must say, I’m disappointed. I checked the website and called...both said the store was open. I drove 25+ miles in the snow and ice only to be greeted with a small sign on the door “closed”.

Cool store. Has everything you need, for all sports. They have good prices on their used items, and they pay well when purchasing your items! Friendly staff, clean store.

Customer service goes above and beyond. Bought a bike from there and noticed some issues. They took it back and fixed it at no extra cost (even offered a refund because it took a few days). Would 100% do business there again.

Bought a used soccer ball for my son, they only had one in the size he needed and it was low on air. They sales person at the register aired it up and said the ball should be good, why would they be selling a ball that wont hold air. Left and finished running errands and noticed the ball was already flat again. I went to return it no more than 2 hours after purchase and was told no refunds, only store credit. This didnt help me any since the other balls were not the right size. Not happy with the customer service, they do not care about having repeat customers I guess. Would not recommend and will not be going back.

Very rude employee(owner?manager?) working yesterday around 1pm, that missed the mark on basic respect for others. This is the second time i have witnessed this. Definitely not a unique experience, given the review history. Wont be going back here again.

Great place to buy and sell used sporting equipment for all sports. Its a great place to get some cash for old gear you might have sitting around, and a cheaper way to get the kids into new gear once they have outgrown their current equipment. I wish there were places like this when I was young. As a parent I have spent some serious time here and have found many really good deals. I got an entire set of catchers gear on the cheap!

Horrible customer service. I was greeted once I entered but that was the last time anyone from the staff said a word to me while I was there. There were 5 staff members huddled up at the counter and not once did anyone offer me any assistance. I did get to hear them discuss what pizza they were going to order from Little Caesars and the story of how one of the staff members sister cut her finger off while I was browsing the store. However, when other customers came in after me it was amazing how they were urgent to assist them with their needs. I wonder why 🤔. It’s safe to say I will not be back to this location. The customer service at the McKinney location is top notch and the store is better organized.

First came here and found some used gear at a fraction of the original cost, it was a steal in my opinion.I then realized they actually brought back your old sports gear that you were no longer using, that it was just collecting dust.Your choice of cash or store credit I got nearly 50 bucks selling back a couple of gloves, rackets, old hockey gear and some assorted ⚽️⚾️🏀There was a large selection of competitive sports and training gear. I’m going to link this place to look for sales and specialty items in the future.

My son plays hockey and weve developed a life long relationship with this place! From the moment we walked in (& I knew nothing about the sport) we were helped fit him from head to toe in hockey gear for a very affordable price. . and we love that we can trade our old stuff in for new.. :) staff has continued to be just as helpful as that first day we walked in a couple years ago.. love them!

Phil and Matan really made me feel welcome and provided my with great knowledge and great equipment for a great price. I have no previous hockey experience and they set my mind at ease and were very patient and informative. I will definitely be coming back to purchase more gear from them in the future.

This place is great. I sold some stuff there and got a reasonable offer on it. Everything was priced reasonably well. I really enjoyed it. The employee that helped was really knowledgeable, and helped me so I wouldnt buy what I didnt need. I would definitely come back again.

Really nice employees. They put up with some crazy customers. Bought quite a bit of my hockey gear. You wont get rich but it is an easy way to get rid of equipment you dont use. Yes they are picky they have to be. They buy what sells. Call ahead & they will let you know if they are buying the type of equipment you are selling. It would impossible for them to give you a quote over the phone as condition, age & demand for product have EVERYTHING to do with the amount you receive. The employee can not change the amount of $ you recieve for an item - that is computer generated. Dont shoot the messenger (cashier). If you dont like the amount offered dont take it. I was happy to get $ for my unused equipment with basically no effort.

I have never played hockey before so I didnt know what to look for when getting hockey gear. The staff at Play It Again Sports in Plano was very welcoming and walked me through every piece of gear I needed. To get the gear I needed I drove all the way from Mansfield Tx and will be doing so in the future from here on out. If I could give more stars I would easily double the 5 star rating I gave them. A big thanks to probably the nicest people Ive ever had a chance to meet

Great selection of used sporting goods. It can get expensive when your kiddos want to try out different sports and then find out week later that it wasnt what they want to do. Thats where play it again is helpful by providing used equipment at discount prices

By far the best Disc Golf selection I have ever seen! The staff are all avid players and love talking about the sport. If you are new and have no clue what you are looking for these are the guys to talk to. The Store Manager Josh and Assistant Store Manager Zac can tell you what every disc on the market flies like. They are always buying used and the selection is dense. If you play Disc Golf you HAVE to stop by and check it out!

The disc golf selection has grown tremendously since the acquisition of the Carrollton stores inventory. The Plano store has done great at staying on top of new product releases and keeps prices very fair. The staff are just the coolest too.

I purchased a $90.00 bicycle from this place for my daughter. Before I completed the transaction I asked the cashier about the return policy. I was told that there was a 10 day refund or return policy if I was dissatisfied with the purchase. I thought that was fair so I tested the bicycle it seemingly worked well so I completed the purchase. Two days later the front wheel wouldnt turn. I called the store and explained to someone about the bicycle not working. I mentioned the refund policy to them and was told there isnt one. I explained to them at the time of purchase I was told there was a 10 day refund or return policy. The person I spoke to told me it is only a 10 day return policy for store credit.I am very disappointed with Play it again sports as I feel like I was lied to to get me to purchase something from them. This store obviosly receives great reviews, so perhaps this was a mistake on their part. I just want someone to make it right and give me my money back as per the original agreement. Until then I will NEVER shop here again and always dissuade others from shopping there as well. Sincerely a very dissatisfied customer.

I came in to browse the store for potential sports items to donate to Toys for Tots. The store manager personally helped me and came up with items that would have taken me triple the time to decide on. He really knows sports equipment and what is appropriate for children. Also, picked up some golf balls for myself! This will be my go to sports store from now on.

Awesome store! It has been around forever! Bought my hockey gear there as a teen, and got my skates back into pristine condition today!

I dont know how they got high ratings. Dont sell anything there to them. Just an example of what I brought in to sell: Bauer boys hockey skates, boys small football helmet and boys small shoulder pads. The hockey skates were unused and the football equipment was only worn for one season of football. I paid over $400 just for the pads and helmet. They gave me $33 check or 40 for store credit. Its better to sell your items on craigslist

The fellas at the desk the week I shopped by phone knew a lot about ball gloves.Their helpfulness drew my attention even after a four hour round-trip to Nakona.I believe that I found a better deal than factory, EBay, and new gloves sold in stores.My savings allowed me to purchase a last edition pro quality baseball bat from Nakona.The management and staff were also helpful in prepping me to hit grounders for my son!Im a father of two, and well search there for sports gear (Lizard Skins bat wrap) at PIAS.Good gear just gets broken in, and my kids and I both benefit from the staff and selection.
