I was looking to start my own home gym and ordered the 245 lb. rubber plate set. It arrived MUCH quicker than other places I ordered different equipment from.Additionally, I had follow up questions and needs and got email responses usually within an hour of sending the question. The follow-up, follow through, and customer service was above and beyond my expectations.Oh yeah, the rubber plate set is great too!I will be checking out Kodiak sports site first for my future home gym needs.

In todays world, it was very tough for my husband to come across quality, affordable rubber bumper plates. He magically stumbled across Kodiak Sports after a couple weeks of research. They had a ton of equipment in stock. They shipped out our bumper plates the next day and arrived 3 days from the date of placing the order. We bought the 260 lb set, and 1 of the 25 lb plates had a minor imperfection in the rubber, right next to the metal insert. I reached out to Kodiak via email and sent a few pictures, someone responded within an hour, and they even shipped out the new 25 lb plate that same day. This is true customer service. Well definitely work with Kodiak again for future home gym needs!!! Highly recommend.

Texas is going through hell & back right now, but Kodiak Sports pulled through with my 25mm American Barbell! I messaged customer service to see if my barbell was being shipped out, & Matt assured me he was on it. They were able to ship it out from Nevada within 2 days! I wish I had another barbell to buy, because I am beyond satisfied with my experience!!

I rarely Leave reviews but this is just an exceptional company. Ordered a large amount of 1/4 and 3/8” rubber flooring and unfortunately due to covid the 1/4 inch rubber flooring wasnt able to be delivered at the same time as the 3/8”. The owner (Matt) personally called me to update me and find a solution that would work for both parties involved. Kodiak sports is the epitome of what customer service should be in today’s world. He went the extra mile to help deliver goods to me the customer and had a great attitude while doing it. I will Definitely recommend this company to others and will be a return customer.

My husband and I are updating our workout space with 3/8 rubber flooring rolls; Kodiak Sports offered great customer service, product price, and delivery price . I turned to Kodiak Sports after terrible customer service (no response to phone message or email for two days) from a major online rubber flooring company. Kodiak Sports representative put together a few estimates for me to choose from in order to give me a choice about products available. I told them shipping cost, not speed important and they worked with me. Again, very pleased with the professionalism of the company.

I ordered 1/4 inch (6 mm) rubber flooring rolls for my basement fitness room. Prior to putting this down I worked out on the extra soft foam squares you can find at any superstore. They would leave indentations from weights. I would also use the concrete floor. I searched a couple different websites and Kodiak Sports had the flooring at a much cheaper price than the other place that quoted me, like $200 difference. I think part of it was more affordable shipping also (TX to IA). It came in rolls as expected and I was informed that they would be longer than my dimensions, which allowed me to cut my own lengths. They were very easy to cut on my own with a utility knife. I bought a cheap drywall square to assist me until I found out it wasnt straight and switched to using a long scrap piece of wood. The rolls could be heavy for some so if that is a problem I would recommend you have the delivery person put it in your garage or somewhere you can get to work cutting them without having to lug them around. Overall it took me 3-4 hours I think, partially because I was working alone (38 year old male) and the last roll I had to cut lengthwise and left some extra in the middle for the doorway (measure twice, cut once). I have plenty left over in case its needed which is nice also. I put some extra small cutouts under the treadmill and weight rack but during the install neither left indentations on the rubber. I recommend using double sided carpet tape for the seams. It may not be needed but I didnt want to find out later there was movement with jumping/plyos.Im thrilled with how this came out and I feel like Im in a commercial gym now when I work out. The 1/4 inch gives me enough cushion for exercises from burpees to sit-ups to heavy weights. Thank you!

Ordered 335lbs in weight plates and 25 thru 50 dumbbells. Since these items, and fitness equipment in general, have been difficult to get I was relieved to find Kodiak. They had timeframes on their site and reasonable prices (unlike the many others that had raised their prices astronomically and were uncertain when it would arrive in many cases). After talking to the owner I had faith but remained modestly skeptical. Well, I got everything today... everything arrived to their facility when expected, was shipped nearly immediately, and arrive at my place within 4 - 5 days via freight. Everything went perfect in every way. Cant recommend Kodiak enough!

Excellent customer service - very knowledgeable and responsive. Matt and Tim answered all of my questions going above and beyond. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic - a time when Im sure they were slammed, they always responded in a timely manner. I bought turf for a 90 foot by 50 foot barn..5 years ago and matt helped me through the process talking me out of the most expensive turf advising me what would work best for me.many phone calls and many questions answered over a 1 year period.....he also advised me on how to size the rolls..he told me the rolls would be 600 to 700 lbs..I knew this going in and I knew I had to have help installing the turf and thats why the price was so good..this guy was professional polite and my experience was great.. I am writing this review as I am looking at buying rubber flooring from kodiak and noticed that some of his customers were not very fair with him.. my experience was great and thats why Im going back to buy flooring and netting...

I would give zero starts if I could. Their website said that it would provide the rubber flooring rolls in specified length, but it seems to be a scam. I measured my room and entered the length desired for each roll, just to be sent two rolls with total square footage as opposed to the 5 rolls in the specified lengths I entered. Each roll weighing more than 350lbs (Im a 47 yr old woman). Their e-mail response was to grab a neighbor and ask him to help me for 10 minutes! and that there is actually a big advantage to the larger rolls/cutting your own lengths…you get much less curl on the rolls…making your installation much faster/easier. I guess there must be a bigger advantage for him to set the orders this way---probably cheaper for him, too. Of course, he didnt do anything to remedy the situation. I tried calling several times and all they did was take messages; staff seems to be polite, but I didnt get one single call back. Just watch out before you order from Kodiak Sports, LLC.

My experience with this company went well. My one issue with my order experience was shipping updates. I was informed that I would receive updates about my order via email/cell and I didn’t until I called them about a week after I placed my order. I did receive an email confirmation stating that my order was confirmed. I want to clarify that I wasn’t in a rush to receive my order, I just wanted an update on the shipping. After I called them, I received an email from Matt Garrabrants with an update. He was very professional. He emailed me everyday with updates until my order arrived. He even put a rush on the order. I ordered a barbell for personal use and it looks/works great! I recommend Matt and Kodiak Sports for gym equipment as I will be looking to order more equipment from them.

Ive been in the fitness industry well over 25 years and have outfitted several facilities ranging from high end fitness centers to sports specific training gyms. I have worked with several vendors during that time and have found Kodiak to be a great resource and trusted partner in all my projects. These guys are no nonsense and get you what you need without adding things you dont need or cutting corners.

Matt is awesome! I had to get last minute gym flooring because of a previous order that fell through and Matt was able to get it done. He was also extremely flexible with times that I could pick it up. He let me come get the flooring on the weekend despite his hours saying he was closed. He is a smart business guy that cares enough to help out. I would highly recommend his company!

Had an opportunity to do business. I wouldnt do business with this company. Sales guy is very Rude. I ordered some transition strip. It was shipped after 1.5 weeks when I was told it will be shipped the next day. When called for tracking the package. I had to 4 msgs before I saw an email. I had to track myself to find the package. Very bad experience.

Too much phone screening. Can’t get anyone on the phone to answer a question on sales, product info or existing order without giving personal info. “I can’t answer that question so I will need some info to have someone get back to you.” No confidence in placing an order with any company that screens call to that degree.

As a follow up on my bad review below, Matt Garrabrants, the owner of Kodiak Sports left a bad review on my company site in retaliation. When i called him an confronted him, he first denied it (I dont know what you are talking about) and eventually admitted that the bad review on my company site was left by him.He told me he had sent me an email asking me to remove my review below and if i do, he would remove his, and hung up on me!This Matt Garrabrants used my order information to find my company, and used it to leave a retaliatory review even if he had no dealings with that company.I guess this company has no ethics and his owner is rotten to the core.Stay away from them!By the way my order arrived a week late from the delivery date i had been given and 5 days later than the reconfirmed delivery date.Poor customer serviceI have tried to place an order for the past week for a 110ft roll of 5/16 black rubber flooring.I went online and just want to make sure that i can get the rubber on just one roll.I have called at least 3 times this week, and one more time today Saturday. Today they are closed, which is fine by me. THey can have the week end, but why cant someone get back to me during their regular work week and answer such a basic question: can i get it all on 1 roll?I have talked to their internal sales team and their answering service through the course of those calls. Each time I am told someone will get back to me shortly. I have not received the basic courtesy and professionalism of a call back so far.It was the same when i tried to find what rubber flooring i had ordered the first time so i can match it with this order. It took several calls and me researching my archives to eventually get someone to confirm what i should order to match my previous purchase.I guess customers are just a nuisance to them.If i dont hear from them this Monday, I will just check the competition out. After all 5/16: black rubber flooring doesnt sound that specific that i should exhaust myself getting them to sell me their product.Good luck with your order...Bob

The staff was very professional and even though my items were a little late they kept me inform and answered all questions.

The Plano location is a guys office- not a warehouse as one might think. Drove all the way here- arrived an hour before closing- no one was there. Calling the store only routes you to a third party messaging company. Frustrating to drive all this way for nothing. Advertise as on-line only if you are truly only on-line. Am guessing this is a 1-person shop- very poor experience.

Just got a shipment of rubber and turf. Matt took his time and guided me in the right direction. Beat out competitors quote and got a better quality turf out of it..
