I took a pair of old sneakers to get resoled and cleaned up. When I picked them up I was completely shocked at what I found. Not only had the shoes not been cleaned up( I was told they wold be taken care of) but the sole job was shoddy. there is glue on the soles and on a few spots on my shoes! On top of that I was told that it would be an additional $35 to clean them up, after I had already spent $75. Word of advice for anyone who wants to bring their shoes here, have one of your children do the job for you, It will probably turn out better. I con not believe these people call themselves professional.

Saved a pair of shoes that I almost ruined with a homemade dye job. They got them and fixed them up. They also fixed up some cowboy boots that were squeaking like some rubber ducks. Reasonable prices too.

I just had my tennis shoe back with Very unhappy feel. Honestly, the repair work and the attitude are beyond terrible! I just simply need the right shoe outsole to be re-glued and you can see yellowish colored glue is everywhere outside the glue area should be. I asked him at store why it’s everywhere and he said the left shoe probably has the glue out but it’s clear so you cannot see it. It’s absurd! The left shoe outsole is good and has no excessive glue at all. Plus, the side outsole is ignored and the glue is even found on the fabric (see photos). It’s an utterly terrible experience and I would recommend you going anywhere else.Hey everyone, couple of weeks passed and just want to give y’all an update after this beyond-terrible repair. I decided to wear it just for casual wear and not to use it for any sports for sure. After wearing it three times, the outsole is totally detached and that’s what the gentleman told me: it probably will be more stronger than the original! What a joke! Again, stay away from it, period.

I absolutely love this place. The cobbler here does phenomenal work in a timly manner. Ive been coming here for easily 2 years not never been disappointed. If I could go any higher than 5 stars I would. Go here!!

Great work on resoling my shoes, installed taps for $4 to prevent wear, and put a high shine on my shoes beyond what i could do myself. $33 total, very fair price for excellent service. He is one of those guys you dont have to hold his hand by giving detailed instructions to get a good result. I told him i needed taps. He looked at the old wear pattern of the existing soles and placed the taps on the new sole in the appropriate spot without having to tell him. Will return with the next pair

This show repair shop is dishonest and does poor work. Ivan the manager is rude and demeaning. Do not go to this establishment for any type of repair. After two months, my shoes were at long last repaired, and absolutely no discount was offered. The repair did not improve the appearance, as the original leather did not match the leather wrapping the heel, so the repairman speared gold cream to hide the difference. The beautiful original color is now gone. Watch out! Poor work, huge time wait, empty pocketbook.

My hiking boot lost their soles. Several other shops either didnt have the capability to fix them or they just wanted to glue the soles back onto a deteriorating crepe (the crepe is what goes between the leather boot and the rubber sole. Plano Shoe Repair completely removed the bad crepe and rebuilt custom ones that work great. My hiking boots are like new again. If you want quality, and need someone that can do better work than just slapping on some gorilla glue, I recommend Plano Shoe Repair

They did an amazing job on my purse! I’ve been to several shops like this, and I am speaking from experience, they do amazing quality work. They are also very friendly and professional. It’s a tad more expensive than other places but remember that you get what you pay for. Even though it was more expensive, it was the best job ever (and I’ve had a lot of leather pieces worked on before). This was worth every penny. They’ve earned a faithful customer! 😊

After more than one month of waiting for my boots, I noticed three holes on the top of boot. I asked Anthony why they are holes on the outer side of the boot and he said that they were there. I asked why they were not repaired and he said that was not part of repair. I told him that I wanted them to look like new and he said they are not repairable and would not provide a discount for 3 holes that appeared now. After paying almost $180, you get boots with holes in them.

I unfortunately cant reply to my previous review, but I want to clarify that they are under new ownership. They very well may be awesome like the previous owners, but I cant take a chance on another pair of shoes and boots on someone I dont know. Im giving them 5 stars again because I dont want to lower their rating with an unknown, but I do want to be clear that my review was about a whole different group of people who have all left the business.

We took a pair of boots here and they were in bad shape needing an entire dye job and both heels replaced. They exceeded our expectations! They are beautiful! Look brand new! It did take a solid 3 weeks to complete but well worth the wait in quality and customer service! Would recommend to all!

This is a professional shoe repair store and that they clearly take pride in what they do! I took some boots here for a resole, and they did a fantastic job. The price was fair, the turnaround was very quick, and the boots look amazing - like brand new. They are definitely not inside a car wash (and I wont be bringing my luggage here) but this is absolutely my go to place for shoe repair from now on!

This is the best place to get boots sized down. At this shop, I have had tall boots taken down in height and in around the leg (all the way down to the ankle sometimes). I have taken a pair of tall boots here almost every year for the past 15 years and I am never disappointed. They have also sized down some belts and ankle straps on some high heels. I even took my wedding shoes to them to be altered. The prices are much more reasonable than other places I have gone for quotes. I love this store!

Not sure there i a negative star, but if possible I would put it. I dropped off a baseball glove to be restrung. They continued to tell me they would call me and update me. Never happened. I called and called and called with no update. I finally am going and getting the glove back 2 weeks later with no work done. It is the worst customer service ever. Worst possible place to pick. DO NOT GO HERE EVER. Wasted my time and energy for nothing.

Incredible service, if I could give 6 stars I certainly would.I showed up, discussed that the stitching on my loafers/slippers was compromised.What was done was above and beyond: the stitching was re-done with an extra adhesive reinforcement AND the turnout time was much sooner than I anticipated.

I Have been calling them for 3 weeks to get an estimate for a pair of shoes i left with them before christmas (they were promising to call back with details, but never did) very rude lady at the register. Very expensive for poor quality work, i was charged $42 for two heel tip repairs, for the 3rd pair the estimated value was $32 .. no thanks, i got it fixed 1 mile away from them for only $10 and got it done on the same day, i wish i knew about that place before

Plano Shoe Repair did an outstanding job replacing the soles and heels on my Lucchese boots, shining them up, and giving them a general refresher. Friendly service and quality work!Theyre located in the strip mall attached to the Walmart Neighborhood Market at Parker and Preston. Plenty of parking, including right in front of the door. (So disregard the 3-star review talking about the car wash and inadequate parking, unless you just want to be entertained.)

Weve gone here for about 8 years or so for various shoe repair/upkeep items. Weve always been very pleased with the workmanship and trust this gentleman with our (not cheap) work shoes and cowboy boots. Although the location is not convenient for us, its worth it for quality service we can count on.

I have been taking my expensive cowboy boots here for about four years now. I get new soles, and heels for them. When I get them back they are just like new, except for the fact that they are my boots, and I wont trust them to just anyone. I now make an hour drive to Plano from my new home to have my boots repaired. When you find a good cobbler that you can trust with your cowboy boots, its worth the drive. Would highly recomend to all.

I have a favorite pair of flats that the heel needed to be replaced. Plano Shoe repair definitely fixed it by replacing it with an actual mens dress shoe heel. I would of liked to have been informed of this before my shoes were mutilated.

Took a pair of 1980s Merrell Wilderness Hiking Boots here I bought off Ebay. The owner put a brand new sole on them that was of the highest quality. Ive gotten soles replaced before, but the work this man does was above and beyond. He patched up a piece missing from the inside of the shoe for no extra charge. Then he gave me a the low down on the different soles he could put on with the different price points, I went with the sturdiest one even though it was the most expensive. When I got them back I was thrilled with the work and the way the boots looked. I will definitely be back. This shop does replacing soles the right way. Also the owner is super friendly and is straight and to the point.

I got my 10 year old shoes resoled here. Cost of the work was $52. The job was excellently done and delivered on time. [update] Taking away one star; the repairs were not robust.

I took in my pair of Allen Edmunds to be cleaned and shined today and worked with Alex the owners son. He was very personable and also addressed the concerns I had about the soles. He set me up with everything I needed while I waited only ten minutes, even threw in a free shoe brush! I highly recommend this family owned an operated shop!

NOT an honest shop. I had a luggage damaged by the airline. The airline says that most shoe repair shop will give estimate how much to repair or provide a statement if it is not repairable. I called the store ahead and ask whether they can repair it if the wheel came off. They said bring it over without hesitation. However when I take 20 minutes drive there, they said NO, they only do zippers. What a dishonest shop. They are not only waste my time, but also start to build their bad reputation.
