They have awesome customer service, friendly and nice, and SUPER knowledgeable about all the problems that my car has. I’ll have to come back for any other car issues that I have to deal with. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend. Took literally less than 10 mins!

The service I need done was to have my cars spark plugs replaced.Here is my experience. A total disappointment!Previously I had had good experience with the service done at the shop, until today 9/4/2021. I really miss the previous mechanics that used to work there until they changed ownership and replaced with new management and new mechanics.. Its a complete disaster. I have learned that the shop had changed management and was owned by a corporation(didnt give out an owner name).I came to the shop on Thursday 9/2/2021 for spark plugs replace service, the guy goes by the name Robert told me if I drop off my car the next day early in the morning, which was a Friday, then he would work on it and have it done by 1pm.I relied on his promise and dropped off my car at 9AM Friday 9/3/2021. I told him that I really need my car by 1PM as was promised as I had a long get away road trip for Labor weekend and I need my car by then. Around 11AM, I received a call from the shops mechanic whose name was Adolpho, who told me that they were backed up with 2 other cars which were a head of me and the work would not be completed by 1PM and it needed to be pushed back to end of day ready for pickup. I acknowledged it, so now my trip got pushed back. I had to change my road trip plan to depart Saturday morning -- this would give the shop all the time it needed to change the spark plugs.This Saturday morning my family was all ready packed up awaiting for me to go pickup my car from the shop.Much to my disappointment, my car wasnt even worked on! It sat there in the shop. No one had worked on it. No one called me to notify me of what was going on with my car.My family trip was a complete in ruin!
Went in on Sunday, October 3, 2021 needing an inspection and my 35,000 mile maintenance. I met TRENT who is the most lovely human you could ever hope to meet. He treated me with the upmost respect (not always what you get as a woman). He was kind enough to keep me updated about the costs as he went through everything I needed. I had to pass on some things and he completely understood. I’ll be a customer for life!!
Zero Stars!I paid $1100 for a new battery and alternator at kwikkar - 305 Legacy, PLano, Texas last week. Drove car 75 miles and lost all power again which was original problem. Had car towed for second time to a Firestone as I was out of town. Firestone said alternator had not been replaced and new battery was completely dead. Could not be charged. They replaced the battery and alternator and I paid extra to keep the alternator core. It is the original alternator with Toyota sticker and date code that matched date for vin on my car. It was the original part!Some confusion about who actually owes that shop now. Asst mgr said they were acquired by speedy auto, however charge on cc went to kwikKar and all signage is kwikKar.Manager has not been there and will not call me back. I’m working with my creditcard company to dispute. If you need auto service, you might want to go elsewhere.
I went to get a state inspection and they fabricated up a fault about my brakes and gave me a $250 ish quote to repair them. They said one brake was a little thin. I took it to an honest place and it passed in 10 minutes. The honest place said state law requires, car only has to stop in 40 feet from 25 mph and brakes not make noise. So, if they tell you something something needs repairs, I wouldnt trust them. And I out $25.
**READ BEFORE USING THIS SHOP**This place is completely dishonest and are crooks. I highly recommend you consider any other shop in the area first. They replaced an air filter in our clients Nissan vehicle with an air filter that was incorrect. This caused the vehicle to stall in the middle of the road nearly causing a wreck and body injury. It caused damage to her vehicle and cost her $1100. The local Nissan dealership repaired the vehicle. When presented with the details from Nissan that explained the cause being the air filter, and asked to make the situation right by paying for the damage, the shop proceeded to ignore us.Robert the shop manager acted as if he was sick on multiple occasions to avoid discussing the matter with us. When the women owner of the vehicle showed up to discuss Robert took her outside away from customers and belittled her for going to Nissan to get the vehicle repaired. He also told her he was filing paperwork to resolve the issue, and then proceeded to continue to ignore us. The conversation with her and us has all been recorded.Multiple attempts to reach the owners have been made. Even an attempt to reach them through the corporate franchise was made and ignored. Very unprofessional. We are in the process of proceeding to sue and bring them to court in which we will win big. My advise is to steer clear. There are way to many options in town. See my photos attached to this businesses page for proof of the air filter that was supposed to be in the vehicle and the one they installed that caused the damage, as well as the proof from the local dealership.Do yourself a huge favor and dont take any risks by giving them the chance to cause damage to your vehicle that they certainly will not own up to, try to make right, much less even discuss with you.
😡😡😡😡 I drive up and attendant comes out. I specifically say I would like my headlight changed because its out and also an inspection. Can you do that? Attendant says yes, so I wait. Time passes, guy comes up and says what type of oil would you like. I respond with I was not getting an oil change today. He says well he already started draining it.😳WTF!!! I told him again that I was there for a bulb change and inspection. He stands there with a dumb look on his face. I said are you still doing the inspection and he says yes but it is pretty much implied its too late to not have my oil changed. He assured me though that the inspection will be done and its easy. FF a few minutes. Maam your car is ready. Walk up and he tells me we were not able to do the inspection. Our mechanic is not here to change the headlight. So not only did you not do what I asked you to do, you performed a service that was not requested! Im pretty sure that is illegal without informed consent. No apologies. No we will eat the cost of doing something you didnt ask us to do. No coupons. No sympathy. No decency. No professionalism. NO NOTHING. LIVID. Never again.😡😡😡 Im usually nice because I know people struggle to run a business but this was a business taking advantage of a person. Not cool.
I’ve been going to this place since I was 4 years old and my parents took their cars here. I’m 25 years old now and will continue to bring my car to this place every single time. They’re beyond professional, making sure I understand what’s going on with my car providing me with any and all choices to solve the issue. They’re welcoming and talk to me as if I’m family. They genuinely care about the customer and have their best interest in mind. Kal recently fixed an electrical issue with my car. He was fast, efficient, and I have had no issues since. This place is the only place I trust w my car.
Expensive oil change price gauging. They had a new ownership 3 weeks ago. They have raised the price a lot. The worst thing is they did not really do oil change then told you it was done. I will never go back to this place again!

Purchased a oil change groupon and drove 25 minutes to get there at 5:45pm. When I got there they was cleaning the floors and was asked what I needed. I said oil change and he asked me what kind and took my keys. I waited in lobby for a minute before same guy came back to me and said their pumps wasnt working. This is very suspicious because if it wasnt working he would have said that instead of taking my keys and asking what type first. They do close at 6pm so its easy to infer. Asked me to leave and come back in morning when they open again. This last time Kwik Kar will ever have my business.
Just noticed a nail in my tire so I pulled in here and they quickly changed it and put on my spare! Quick, great customer service but most importantly, extremely thoughtful!!

Fast and efficient. only issue, they need to start following fair business guidelines please.if i get a groupon for 5qts and the car takes 6qts, they need to tell me about additional charges for the extra qt.and maybe, just maybe, i would have been able to tell them i had a plan to put in a qt of crankcase additives and now i cant. plus i had to pay for the additional qt because what were they going to do? take it out?

Got a coupon from Groupon for $24.56 for oil change, ended up paying $75 for charge of extra gallon of oil, oil disposal and an air filter change which I didnt ask (to be fair, they did asked me if I want to change it in front of me and other customers, presenting the old/dirty filter, pressuring me to agree with changing. The owner e at the end told me dont buy from Groupon and they would acknowledge Groupon price. What a ripping-off and moralless business!

After changing a flat tire on a Sunday morning, I learned that the spare tire was soft. I went to several area gas stations between Alma and 75 and the air pump card readers were not operational. I noticed that Kwik Kar was opened. I stopped by and asked if I could use their air compressor and to charge me for their services. Ali declined the offer to charge me and aired up my spare for free.
Bait and switch with Groupon Alignment charge $150 for alignment on my SUV and wouldn’t give a discount with the Groupon. Go to firestone off Greenville had alignment done previously without Groupon and it was $90.
These guys are awesome! Very very well trained experienced technicians. Front desk staff was beyond words with the level of care and honestly. I used to work in a shop and every aspect of this place just screams quality. If you got a problem they can fix, let them. 100% worth it.
I have been Kwiks loyal customer for quite a while. The staff was usually very friendly and used to help me a lot with my cars. Till the last couple of days and what happend is truly horrible.Three days ago just half an hour before they close I brought my car to Kwik Kar Lube and Tune at 305 Legacy Dr, Plano, TX for a simple oil change and while chatting with the manager, I agreed to check the engine for misfire (although there was no engine light on). While mechanic was removing the spark plugs from the engine, he appeared to damage one of them and a large piece of plugs ceramics isolation fell inside the cylinder.I was standing next to the cars watching his operations and witnessed this myself. I am a technical savvy person having engineering degree so I do understand how damaging it could be when you have a foreign object like tough ceramics inside the combustion chamber while engine parts are moving. I told the mechanic about this but he assured me that this will be removed before installing the new spark plugs back.Apparently he failed to extract all the debris because when he installed the new plugs and started the engine it made a very abnormal sound, started shaking very badly and failed. I believe that the piece of ceramics stuck under the valve so when the engine was started the piston hit the valves. Now the whole engine requires the expensive repair or cylinder head replacement. For obvious reasons I cannot take the car from the service.Whats worth to mention, they already charged me for changing the oil and spark plugs replacement, so I do have a paid receipt for $270.Once staff realized what had happend they changed their rhetoric asking me to keep my car till tomorrow so they will investigate what happened. The next day I received a call from the mechanic where he said that the engine repair would cost me $2200-$2400, but Kwik would split the charges in half, with me owing them $1100-$1200.Have you heard anything about body shop would suggest you splitting the charges? I have not. This is nothing but them implicitly admitted their fault. I told them that this is 100% their fault, and that they damaged my car while servicing it, hence this is their liability. The next day when I came in-person the manager by name said I either pay full price (now its corrected to $2600) or pay a diagnostic fee and take the car out. He said that car was just like that when you brought it in and they have nothing to do with it. Then he just walked away and kept running out from me while I was there.I went to Ford authorised dealership service and showed them the quote I received from Kwik. Ford representative said the car cannot be operated in such condition and said that with such damages they would go and replace the entire cylinder head.I know such issues happen to the best of us. But when and if such situations happen, especially in front of the customer, the company should have the strength to admit the fault and fix the issue at no cost to the customer. In my situation with the mentioned store I have been treated with abundant disrespect, lack of dignity and a second-class person attitude.My car is equipped with the dashcam, so I can prove all what I stated above with the video/audio recordings and the paperworks. I have a couple of hours normal driving video visiting different places right before entering Kwiks store. I have some during-service videos showing the start engine process.Please steer away from this place if you value your cars.
I’ve typically come here to get my oil changed, I remember the older gentleman working their and was always pleased with their service. I went to have my oil changed and 3 of the employees asked me what oil I had previously put in, I told them I wasn’t sure but remembered that 1. My receipt from my last oil change was in my glove compartment and 2. The usual price that I paid. One of the employees said they would check their system and look at the sticker that was for my previous oil change. They went through changing my oil and asked me no other questions.When they called me up to pay, he charged me close to $90. I asked him why it was so expensive and he said he put in full synthetic oil in it -5qts. When I told him that no one asked for my permission to put in the more expensive oil, he tried to tell me that I was asked and that they couldn’t find my previous receipt in the glove box. (They never let me grab it for them). Instead, they went with whatever their system said was best for my car. I appreciate them trying to do what is best for my car, but I didn’t appreciate them just doing it without asking me, especially when months ago they were putting the synthetic blend in my car? Doesn’t make sense. When I asked where that pricing was on the board, he couldn’t point to the pricing for full synthetic oil, for 5 qts that matched the price he quoted me.The employee was kind enough to lower my pricing, but the whole thing still felt sneaky.ALSO: my old receipt was sitting RIGHT in the glove compartment underneath my little insurance paper.
These guys put on a plastic shield that I had to have replaced under my engine, replaced my brake light bulb, replaced my headlight bulb and put air in my tires...all for no charge! So I gave Jose a nice tip for taking care of my little to do list! These guys are awesome they always take great care of you and never charge you for things you dont need or suggest things you dont need! ❤️ Been here a few times and theyre always great! Fast service and I appreciate honest mechanics! Great Customer service service consistently!
Took my car for a diagnostic on my a/c unit. Found supposedly a/c unit problem, missed diagnosed. Call to say car was repaired. Went to pick up my vehicle and was still not complete. DO NOT HOUNOUR QUOTES!! Horrible customer service. Avoid this shop.

I visited this location for a simple oil change. Shortly after inquiring about the cost of an oil l accepted the charge an went inside to wait for my vehicle to be repaired. After assessing the condition of my car I was approached by Matt the Manager who informed me of two additional services that could potentially improve the functionality of my vehicle. Initially I declined I explained that Ive been impacted my COVID 19 AND recently LOST MY JOB. The manager MATT told me he understood and went to complete my repair. So from my understanding I would be charged:$34.99 for oil change$10.99 for oil filter$110.00 for oil flushSo $160.00 at the max.. so why did I pay $207.00No my problem is there were additional charges on my reciept!!! after Id just explained Im not in a financial situation to pay more at the moment.There are misc sales fees, disposal fees, and misc sales fees.. these were not explained to me.. the cherry topper is: once my card processes MATT asks if Id consider going to donate plasma. In that moment I felt so many emotions errupt from my soul. I did not solicit his opinion or ask for options to supplement my income. That overall experience was demeaning and uncalled for. Someone should fix this issue ASAP.

Do not take your car to kwik kar on legacy in plano!They are inexperienced and careless. They cannot even perform something as simple as an oil change correctly. Im an old woman and I know more about cars than these guys. I never wrote negative reviews but this place is a joke. Thank goodness I noticed the huge pool of oil in my garage before my engine seized up and left me stranded somewhere.
If I call to ask for a price quote to change my brake pads. Dont give me a price quote on brake pads and rotors... you havent even looked at my car, maybe I know exactly what I need, so I dont need a possible higher price from you if my rotors were to be worn. Just tell me what I asked to hear... Simple. After hearing this over our 15 second conversation i thanked him and hung up. With how bad of a rep these quick auto places get, I definitely avoid ones where they are upselling me on things I dont need, before my car has even been looked at....

First time there for a vehicle inspection and it took forever, but Im patient so I let it slide and they did look busy that morning. I decided to give them a second chance and return a year later again for my inspection. Everything was going great until the very end. I did waited long, but that wasnt the problem. They were finished with my vehicle, but never checked me out. They had about 2 customers plus me waiting inside. After waiting for 1 hr and 30 mins and noticed that both customers were checked out already, I decided to head to the desk and asked about the status of my car. There was no one in the front desk. To my surprise, my car was parked out front.. WITH MY KEYS IN THE CAR AND ENGINE RUNNING.. For how long? I have no idea. I was just afraid at the thought that anybody besides the emplyoees working there could just HOP INTO MY CAR AND LEFT WITHOUT ME OR THE EMPLOYEES NOTICING. I had to wave down one of the guys working there to check me out. I asked about it and the person that was checking me out said that they do that for everybody. Thanks, but Im not coming back anymore.
Had a $4 off coupon. They didnt have one in their system so they said theyd give me $3 off instead. Also, high pressure up selling is constant. Slightly condescending staff. No wonder they change oil for a living.

I had my oil changed less than a week ago and they neglected to bring to my attention that my antifreeze was low, and from my understanding, its supposed to be checked with an oil change.

Couldnt be better. They treat you better than dealerships. You gotta be able to trust your mechanic. I dont even live in Plano anymore, still coming here for whatever is going on with my car.Their warranty is right on point too. If whatever they fix is not working properly, no questions asked, they take care of it. You dont have jump through hoops to get your problem fixed

I Called a lot of the Frisco Allen shops with good ratings but this was the only one that took the time to answer all my questions on the phone and Chad helped me out. I just moved here from MN and it is hard to find a good shop you can trust, so give these guys a shot!
Toyota Prius ABS system went out. Around $2k just for the part plus labor and programing.. Would have been even more at Toyota! Found a used part on Ebay for $200. They put it in. Worked great. Saved over $150 in tax for the part, and all is working for $500. They even gave me the $100 diag charge towards the repair. this place rocks! Not many places will let you provide the part. They want to make a profit on that too. These people are fair, honest, and respect your wallet.
Its after 7:30am, which is when they are supposed to be open and no one is here. There is no signage indicating that they will be open later.

My car was overheating and leaking fluid I was told that I needed a radiator hose. Paid $155 for that, drove my car home and noticed car still overheating and leaking fluids but shop was closed, took my vehicle back the very next day and was told that I need a water pump $475, which leads me to believe that I never needed a radiator hose from the beginning. I wasnt about to give this place another dime of my hard earned money. First and last visit from me.
I almost never leave reviews, but the customer service at this Kwik Kar was so over-the-top great, that I feel compelled to give them a big virtual fist-bump. The staff was knowledgeable and more helpful than they had to be. They made reasonable maintenance suggestions and showed me specifics as to why those add-ons were advisable. They leveled with me, treated me seriously (despite the fact that I was welllll overdue for an oil change), and offered a couple discounts needlessly. The most impressive part was, when they realized that my car is registered in a different county, they let me in on the fact that State Inspection charges cost about half as much there, and gave me the option of continuing with them or pursuing the better deal (the price of which is apparently set by the county). To top it all off, they hooked me up with a free car wash. Great service. The friendly, down-to-earth, and above-board staff made a routine chore a really pleasant experience.

Horrible. Have to keep paying them over and over again. They tell you 1 thing is wrong and you need to fix it, then they will say another thing is wrong. And you just keep spending money. I was simply trying to pass my inspection. I had a check engine light on. And ryan told me to fix one thing and that it was a shot in the dark at fixing it. Then that didnt work and he took another shot in the dark. A couple thousand dollars later and im finally saying im done with them. If u you want an oil change or something go ahead and go to them i guess, but literally anything else i would go somewhere else. Horrible experience and they did nothing to try and make it right.
The owner is a really nice guy which is a pleasant surprise for a car repair shop. Ive been coming here for years and they always do good work for a fair price.

Been going here for a little over a year and I am one that is real skeptical about mechanics and their findings. I have not second guessed any work that this place has done to my truck or my wifes car and also make the drive from Lewisville just to get my oil changes done. They give recommendations as far as maintenance on the vehicles and anything that they might find that could possibly cause our vehicles to not operate efficiently, but never try to upsale me. These guys rock! The only place in Plano I could find that would do a two-speed idle emissions test for state inspection on my wifes 1995 Jaguar. Everybody else in town lied to me saying their equipment was broke.

The service is no longer good, now that management changed.1) They put on the wrong size windshield wipers. How can you trust them if they cant get windshield wipers correct.2) They also told my wife that a fuel flush was needed, when the owners manual did not require it.3) They skiped washing windows. Which makes me wonder what else they are skipping4) They use the cheapest oil filters.

Ive been using this location to service several cars for over 10 years. On my last visit they left the plug out of the front differential, or did not get it seated properly and it fell out. The differential is now destroyed. An experienced mechanic at this location informed me that he never checks the front diff on that vehicle type because the rubber plugs tend to be hard to get back in properly. Then they mentioned that the new guy worked on my truck that day. Expensive lesson, but I think Im the only one that learned anything from it. Wont be back. $1300 is too much for an oil change.
