DO NOT USE - THEY WILL LIE AND TRY TO CHEAT YOU!!!!!I brought my car here for a state inspection and they told me that it failed. They said I would need thousands of $$s of repairs - overhaul of my power steering system, new belts, coolant system repair, transaxle repair, etc. Suspecting that they were scamming me, I took my car to another place that has always been honest - Brakes Plus on Ohio and 121. They inspected my car and said that it passed easily. In addition, they are able to see what other shops have tried to inspect my car and they looked at the results from Kwik Kar. The database showed that my car had actually PASSED inspection!!!!! Kwik Kar lied to me and was trying to steal from me by recommending unnecessary repairs. USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau as well.

I recently had my catalytic converter stolen so I brought my car ti Kwik Kar. Matt was extremely helpful. Very polite and knowledgeable. The minute I drove up he greeted me outside and was vey compassionate to my situation. Kept me in the loop the whole time on whats happening. Gave me constant updates. I trusted my car in his hands. Please save yourself the trouble and never get any work done here outside of oil changes. 5 trips and $1500 later, my AC system still doesn’t work and there’s zero accountability from this shop. I’ve paid for a new AC compressor twice since 2017 and it’s out again for a 3rd time. Their new mechanic says there’s a completely different issue that caused my AC compressor to turn off, so it looks like I paid $1500 for two pointless repairs (the second time it was within two years but no discounts were given) and still the management has the nerve to call me and as for $650 for this new repair on the same AC issue since it’s different parts than before. Yes, it apparently falls on the customer to diagnose issues with their own car make sure they are paying for the right thing, not the shop’s job.

Do not go here my son took his car in to get an oil change and they didnt put his oil pan screw back in properly. This caused the screw to fall completely out oil to leak all out of his car and his engine to lock up. Spoke with regional manager Steve Burg who said they did a investigation and no oil was leaking when he left but they would take care of this. Steve made promises when he would call us back and never did so after many times of calling Kwik Kar offices because Steve called from a number that you cant call back to finally spoke with Kwame who advised Steve will call back. My sons car is sitting in the back of the shop because we had to get it towed there. We still dont have a resolution for the problem. I will have to get my attorney on this one.

Very professional and very quick. Also did not try to upsell me on a new tire 4wh1en he knew that the current one could be fixed and had good tread! Really appreciate that honesty as well.

We got the same day urgent appointment, they took care of our hard brakes issue and it was fixed promptly. Happy with the quick service provided. Lets hope for the best.

I got an oil change and didn’t realize until a week later that who ever did my oil change did not reinstall the bottom cover under the car properly. Oem screws were missing and the bottom started was hanging on the driver side. Terrible professionalism for the price you pay.

When I arrived here for oil change I was the third car in line. They took my car in the shop right away. After waiting 1 hour and seeing many more cars taking in to the shop I had to ask why my car still in the shop with its hood open. After going back and forth they realized that oil was already changed but no one knew that it was. They checked the dipstick to confirm it. No management over the workers no customer service at all. I honestly cant recommend this place for no one.

Let me start by saying that the staff are courteous and professional. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. upselling is part of their job and I will never begrudge an employee for doing it. I came in for a state inspection. I think with Kwik Kar, you can expect to be upselled on any service. That said, I never felt like I was being overly pressured to purchase anything and the services that were recommended, were in fact needed. You do have to know what you are getting into when you go here but once you are comfortable with that, I can definitely recommend this location.

I have been to several places for car repairs and this particular Kwick Kar location is definitely Top Notch.The manager Kwamie?! - Not sure of the spelling and all the other men who work there were great! What I loved most was their honesty and efficiency. They were kind, especially bc as a women sometimes I feel like we get the bad rap bc they think we don’t know anything?!!Well here I never felt that way. They are just greedy. They try to convince you with confidence for unnecessary maintenance and get your money. Also charge you more than enough. Also what ever they did to my car some other place can’t change my oil filter because it’s too tight.

Good first impression of this Kwik Kar. No pressure to put in the more expensive synthetic oil which other places have tried (Kwik Kar on Ohio, Pat Lobb Toyota). Our car is a 2010 Corolla. Dont need to be buying synthetic. Technician pointed out the transmission fluid was getting darker, but didnt put the pressure on for a flush. Maybe well do that next time. Everything else in their multi-point inspection checked out fine. Overall, professional and seemed honest. Will return.

Kwambe was extremely professional and precise. He spent 45 minutes after the store closed as he identified some essential fluid services were required on my car that he identified around the closing time. Definitely would recommend for a breezy service.

They charged $35 in labor for an oil change. On top of that they called me before it was done and told me I needed an engine clean out. Before I took my truck in I checked my oil. It wasn’t “sludgy” just low. They also said I needed my 4X4 serviced. I’ve worked as a mechanic and never even heard of that one.

The store manager, Kwame, was awesome! He got me in and out as quickly as possible for an oil change and even educated me on the process. He was very professional and represents Kwik Kar positively. Would definitely recommend this location and Kwame specifically.

Elliot Navarro was fantastic! I came in to see if I had an oil leak and thankfully I did not! But he was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and helpful! I learned a few things today, which was nice. I would highly recommend seeing Elliot for your next car service! Not once did I feel rushed, nor did I feel like he was a pushy salesman. He’s ‘Genuinely’ friendly and customer driven. We need more mechanics like him!

I had my car repaired at the Kwik Kar 8, Custer Road/Plano (total bill $329.50.). I went back several times because the problem still existed, after repairs. I was forced to visit another mechanic, once my vehicle almost completely stopped on the expressway. I was told Kwik Kar misdiagnosed the problem. The Caliper did not need replacement, the hose did. Needless to say, I had to pay another $400 to get my car repaired. I took the receipts back to the Custer location, copies were made, and then the games began. I was told twice, that the owner would call in 5 minutes. Didn’t happen. Once, I was told he was in Europe. Again, I was told Manager was busy and would call back. Didn’t happen. I’ve left several messages to get this issue resolved, to no avail. I also incurred hundreds of dollars for car rentals, Uber and Lyft. I’m sure the owner Brian, would like to hear about the actions of those left in charge. If not, I have no other choice but to make the public aware of how some women are treated at this facility. If I could give a negative rating, I would!!!!

I recently came in to do a synthetic oil change. After going to the Mercedes dealership, I was told by a service advisor that there was an oil leak in the pipe. I had a feeling that the service advisor was lying, so I waited until my next day off to visit Kwik Kar. After my visit at Kwik Kar and after getting an oil change, I asked the If there was indeed a leak in the pipe, and he said no, if there was he would have told me BEFORE I got the oil changed out. THANK YOU so much for your honesty and integrity here. I really felt that this location really wanted to help me and not just make money off me. I hope to get my brake pads done here in the near future.

In and out in around 20 mins for conventional oil change and didn’t try to upsell or hassle me. Honestly pretty straightforward guys not too much extra customer service but I prefer that to the places that use “customer service” as a way to take advantage and sell services that people don’t need. The man that did my inspection had a terrible attitude and made me wait way longer than I should’ve, my inspection was done in a timely manner but because I didn’t want to pay to have my air filters changed he decided to start working on someone’s car instead of closing out my service so I waited and extra 20-30 min to pay when I did not need to.

Trust level 0/5Went there to get state inspection done for my vehicle. Was told that I had to change the brake pads immediately and hence failed the safety test. They recommended to change the pads at their store immediately. But the fact was that i changed my cars brake pads 2 months ago at the BMW service center. I knew they were lying. I immediately went for an inspection at another center and cleared with out any issues. Will not go here again. Do not recommend this place for anything. They lie on your face.

Scam Alert!Went there to do a quick state inspection, thought I’d be in and out in no time since there was no line and is close to my house. Waited for about 30 minutes, the mechanic at work told me that my car wont pass inspection. Said i have to change brake pads, they have ZERO life and they scratched my rotors so i have to replace both pads and rotors. He also said my brake fluid and coolant (which has nothing to do with inspection) have to be flushed. He quoted me $682 and was pushing me to pay up front, i said I’d come back next day but he insisted to pay ahead then bring my car next day. I paid for the inspection fees which he reported failed and left the shop.I immediately took my car to my usual shop because i was concerned that my 2017 65k milage suv which I bought brand new shouldn’t have these many problems. My guy inspected and told me that KK tried to up-sale and my pads were not worn enough to fail inspection, also brake fluid was low because pads got thinner they go hand in hand. All other stuff that KK mentioned were total BS. I paid $159 for the pads (i needed to replace them anyway) didnt need any brake fluid or coolant flush and got inspected for free at my known shop since i trusted them and took my business to them.Do not fall for these folks, they’ll do whatever to rip you off, even with a simplest task like state inspection could turn into a nightmare.

Took me 90 mins to get my state inspection done!!

I took my car to the shop and had a state inspection. My car was in 9:10, and out 10:35. it took about 90 mins to get a simple state inspection done, and it was a very disappointing experience.The gentleman who did the inspection for me drove my car into the working spot and opened the engine hood, let it sit for 60 mins, doing nothing but chatting with other colleagues. 2 other customers came after me finished their inspections and left before the technician started working on my vehicle. The technician took 10 mins to pour some kind of liquid into my car, and then told me a bunch of issues that I need to address. After I said no to his cross-sell, he left for another 10 mins before starting working on my car again.Finally when he finished the inspection and during the checkout, I told him I had $5 off coupon on your website. He would not give me the discount, unless I gave him the coupon. Unfortunately, I forgot my cell phone, and I could not show him the coupon, I asked if he could use his computer to check its own website. He refused, saying his computer can not go online. I asked if he could use his cellphone to check, he replied he could not use his own personal cell phone to check for customers. So he did not honor the store promotion.I asked him if I can come back, get my phone and pay, he said no. So I had to pay the full price and went home to get my cell phone. When I showed him the $5 off coupon, and asked for a credit, he said he could not do the refund, only the GM can do that. He also refused to give me the contact of the GM.My invoice # 47663. I believe this is not acceptable customer service and it needs the attention from the management.updated on 09/02/2020, 3:52PM. The GM, Steve called me back personally and speak with me about the issue for about 15 mins. He explained that the liquid pour into my car was the wind shield wiper fluid, and also apologized for his staff that not treated customers in proper way, and emphasize the management will take a look into it and make sure it would happen again. I really appreaciate the management take this issue seriously and have sincerity to improve the customer service. I feel satisified after talking to Steve.

I have been going to this location for years now. Usually for very minor things like fluid and pressure checks. Well that all changed when I went in for a Coolant Flush, Oil Change and Thermostat replacement in my beloved BMW 750i. I keep my cars in impeccable condition inside and out! I even clean my engine off regularly just to keep things nice and clean under hood. With that being said, I notice EVERYTHING no matter how small when it comes to my car. After speaking in length with Mo the Store Manager and explaining my expectations in detail, I felt comfortable in allowing them to do this what turned out to be somewhat of a major and time consuming repair! Although it took longer than expected, Mo and his team: Jeremy and Tyler, took VERY good care of my car and completed the work to my high satisfaction!I can tell that their lead technician, Jeremy, takes alot of pride in what he does as a certified Mechanic based on his explanation to me in detail of what and why things needed to be done. My car is NOT the easiest to work on and there are tons of tiny bolts and small spaces to work with. But they did what needed to be done and my car is running perfectly over a week later! Also, equally important is the condition of my car inside and out being like it was when I left it with them, I am happy to report that it was just as clean and only driven the distance required to confirm repairs were successful. I will not hesitate to bring my or my wifes car to Mo and his team at Kwik Kar in the future.I believe it is only fair to take the time to express my satisfaction with this business and compliment these individuals on a job well done!Respectfully, Big Marcus

My wife took the car to get the state inspection. She was told that the belts would need to be relaxed due to dry rot and cracking. The belts have no signs of this. We got a second opinion from another mechanic. Super unprofessional.

Took car for inspection. They made a mistake in entering the license plate number on the inspection cert. which I noticed later. I called the shop to correct the error. They told me it has to go thru the ODB again and I have to bring the car back! I feel penalized for their carelessness besides the inconvenience of going back!

The truck was not even hot yet and he was looking at the hot line. So I needed a power steering flush. Thieves.

We were having engine issues with our car and a friend recommended we take the car to Kwik Kar in Plano on Custer Road. It was about 4:45 pm on a weekday. Kwame, the manager, greeted us in the parking lot. He was so friendly and really listened to our issue. Within 2 hours the mechanic had assessed the damage and we were told exactly what needed to be done and the car was repaired within 24 hours and cost a lot less than I had anticipated. Everyone we met at Kwik Kar was friendly. We will definitely be taking all of our cars to Kwik Kar and recommending them to everyone we know.

I live less than a mile away and the dealership is 10 miles away for the same price. So I give this location a chance and look at my bill a free car wash does not make up for lying about your prices. This Kwik Kar location is the best I have experienced in the Dallas area. The staff is very professional, friendly and knows what they are doing. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here to assure the best service possible. Nice customer service. I came for an oil change for my car. I did not have an appointment. They told me 10” wait. However, they took me 5” later while i was sitting to wait. They finish oil change in 15”. They also refill all the windshield washer, brake oil, ..... they did so fast and professional. No oil dirty left on the machine to make a bad smell when i am driving. Their price also is very affordable. 5 stars service oil change.

Hi poor quality

Do not go there for car repair. I almost got ripped off 800 bucks because they recommended unnecessary repair with totally wrong diagnosis without checking the problem carefully. My car had tick noises at the bottom of it or around the tires and they told me the struts should be replaced. I went to other auto repair shop for second opinion and they found the problem was from brake pad and rotor at one of the wheel and replaced them then the problem solved!

Nice fast oil change. they get me a premium oil filter for my avalon, honor coupons, do come up with various that i need to get done, but never pushy.they work Sunday which is awesome for customers.

This place will try and take advantage of females or just anyone who doesnt know much about cars. They told my wife she needed $1800 in work done when she went there for an oil change on her road trip to see her family in Texas. After I talked to her and told her to leave she got back to her families house her suv was leaking oil her brother took a look and there was a small hole in the oil filter dripping oil. These guys are scum, they ruin it for all of us good honest mechanics.

Went in for a simple oil change. Oil change was done super fast and efficient. Young man came and got me, went over all the maintenance items for my vehicle. Took the time to show me the good and the bad things that were going on the my car. We got a priority list, meaning whats needs to be done first. My transmission fluid looked like ink out of a pen(gross). So we went ahead and flushed it out. After about 15 minutes he brought back out and my fluid looked brand new. Amazingly fast, helpful, and polite service. They gained a life time customers for my 4 vehicles.

I have been going to this place for my normal car inspection for a couple of years and things have been great. This time was a bit odd as they asked me if I wanted to replace my air filter and showed me one that was white and dirty. It confused me a bit as I have a K&N filter and those you dont replace and are red and black. Of course I said no immediately. Just posting to make people aware.
