Recently I had an alternator problem with my daughterβs car. Their staff gave me honest and helpful advice that saved me money and ultimately put us back on the road with my daughterβs car driving safely, happily and for a good price. It was a refreshing experience. π Thank you kindly!
To busy to get my work van in to service. On the surface sounds good for them but in reality they are so short handed they are losing business. Ill be back pepboys is an honest place.
Thanks to Antonio and rest of Staff for explaining details on my vehicles jobs performed and process to be done.
Came in for an oil change! Very fast snd friendly! Did a free safety inspection on my vehicle as well! I highly recommend ask for Greg!
Great service experience from PK on their service team. I pulled in with a flat tire on my Audi which was under warranty from the dealer, but I wanted to have them check to see if it was a simple fix before towing it to McKinney.Despite being short staffed and close to closing time, PK told me he could pull it in and check it out if I could wait a little while, even though he knew if it was bad, it was not going to result in a sale because it was under warranty with the dealer.About 30 minutes later, they checked it out, and I had a sidewall blowout from the pothole I hit. I needed to leave it overnight and tow it in the morning since the dealership was closed and was going to leave it in their parking lot. Instead, PK came through again and offered to lock it in their garage overnight to keep it safe from breakins.I cant say enough good things about PK and the service I received, if you need tires or service, go see them!
I visit this pep boys all the time and I highly recommend it. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and always looking to help you out. The techβs and the service staff in the shop are Knowledgeable and courteous. Donβt forget to pick up your Pep Boys membership deal card thing, as there are a lot of benefits to be had from it. I love this Pep Boys, and Iβm so happy that itβs really close to my house.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. WORST SERVICE IVE RECEIVED IN A WHILE.Super rude and inconsiderate management. Took my car in for alignment because it was going left, after they βfixedβ it it started going to the right. Itβs a 90 day warranty so I came back after a week and the manager βJOEβ And the other guy in glasses and beard said No we donβt have mechanic after 4 even tho I myself got it done here with them around 6 something the first time I came. I asked them simple questions about where else I can go and what I can do and they answered pretty rudely. NEVER GOING BACK HERE EVER AGAIN. Do yourself some favour and go to any other location.
Pk best costumer service ever yβall show love
We Was. Both Blessed To Find Jeremy! @ Pep Boys! And He Always Left Us Feeling Very Helpful And He Always Gave Us First Class Customer Service! We Both Are Definitely Going Back And We Are Telling All Of Ours Friends And Family About How Jeremy @ Pep Boys In West Plano Texas Off Spring Creek!Well Done Jeremy! And Happy New Years!
Had to buy a battery had an overall good experience. Would go back if needed.
Best Pep Boys in Plano & greater Dallas area. From start to finish, I was attended to and serviced in a professional and courteous fashion. Staff was helpful and the Manager, Mr. Greg Mehr provided 5 star service and beyond. You will get taken care of over here faster than you can say pep boys
Worst Experience of my life. Im not someone that needs a lot of attention, and Im in the service industry myself, so I have A LOT of grace for other customer service personnel - but I have never, in all my years, been treated so poorly. I also have never been a woman to think car salesmen or repair shop are going to treat me differently, but I for sure felt that way here. From the moment I walked in, the manager acted like I was a bother. And this was my second interaction with him. My first was in the phone when he couldnt be bothered to tell me if the product he sold was something they could install. Then when I arrived at the store, I was informed that the product I ordered wasnt there and they didnt know why. He supposedly went on a search of the building to make sure they didnt have my order, and informed me not only had they not received the part, but that it wasnt their problem the website said the part was there and allowed me to set an appointment for installation. But again, there was no actual desire to help fix the problem, especially when he couldve apparently told me that if I just walked the 10ft to the retail department, they would probably have the part and the work could be completed. And another kicker for me - it appears he did ask retail if they had the part since I only had to start explaining to them why I was upset, and the manager on that side knew exactly what I was needing and told me the they had the part in stock. I then bought what I needed and returned to the service department. The manager wouldnt even acknowledge that I had returned. Finally, after all that frustration, the part was installed, but my issues still werent over. When I showed up pick up my car, the service center tried to charge me for the part AGAIN! Even after I showed my receipt, they couldnt understand that I didnt owe the service department for the parts. Once again I was forced to deal with the service manager, who knew me by name at this point. He did fix this issue quickly, but still showed his irritation at having to deal with me. All in all, women, stay clear. This man didnt treat any male customers this way, and I watched both in person interactions and phone calls. It was only me, the only woman in the store that was treated this way. Ill say that the retail part of this location was absolutely WONDERFUL and extremely helpful - but as I was so CLEARLY informed by the service manager, retail and service are NOT connected in any capacity. Where I was standing [was] service and over there [was] retail. I sure hope this was an isolated issue, however in my experience, someone that rude and unhelpful doesnt limit their negativity to one person.
This location takes forever to do simple tasks for your vehicle i.e. oil change changing air filters, I used to come here b/c of their integrity and professionalism guess I have to choose another location/business now.
Found some loose wiring that someone did on another job. Good job Pep Boys.
Be advised, take your car someone else...anywhere else but here. My car was dropped here by a towing company. Only needed the alternator replaced. Called to check on it and was told the check engine light was on, diagnostic check was needed and a few other things....$750+ in repairs. Most of what they listed as needing to be done, had already been taken care. Even got my car back with the check engine light off. They make up false repairs to charge more to look good for corporate. You are better off going to a smaller mom & pop place....they know what they are doing better than pep boys employees.
All I can say is this Pep Boys is AWESOME! Jeremy gave us top notch quality service! He kept us notified on what was going on with our car at all times...I will be going back and telling all of my friends! Highly Recommended!!!
Ordered tires from amazon for them to install. They took 2 hours to install 2 tires and didnt tighten the lug nuts properly. The car was shaking and the tire almost fell off on the highway. One of the lug nuts came off and the others were loose. This business should not be allowed to operate. Do not come here if you value your life!
Greg and his team operate like a well organized pit crew. They handled everything that was needed plus more and had me out within 1.5 hours. I didnt even have an appointment. I recommend this location with Greg and his team.
We had an overall AWFUL experience with the repair department here yesterday. We brought my husbands car in to have them look at a leak in the tire and the check engine light which we believed was caused by a faulty 02 sensor. The gentleman at the service counter seemed very stressed and was rather rude to everyone in line. Once we told him what needed done, we were told that there the individual who could operate the machine to run the diagnostic on the check engine light had already gone home for the day and that they would not be able to detect the problem with the check engine light until the next day. (Every car today is run by a computer. How is it that there is no one available at a vehicle repair shop to detect these kinds of issues at 3:00 on a Wednesday afternoon?)We told him not to worry about the sensor and asked if they could look at the tire (which was purchased at this Pep Boys). He said that they could but that it would be awhile before they could get to it. We told him that would be fine but also told him that we had to get the car back before they closed, to which the individual replied no problem. At 7:00, when we had not heard a word from the shop, we started calling and eventually went to the location because we could not get an answer. It turns out this location closed at 7:00 and NO ONE called us about our car. I pounded on the door and was able to get the attention of the only person left in the store. I told him that we needed the keys to the car and asked if anyone had even looked at it because no one had called us. His response was that they had closed at 7:00, there was nothing wrong with the tire, and he didnt know he was supposed to call us.I asked him if calling the customer when their vehicle is ready is not common practice in the car repair industry (as that has bee my experience EVERY TIME I have taken any vehicle in for repairs) and that we had specifically told the repair shop, when we brought in the car, that we had to have it back before closing. All he could say is that he didnt know he was supposed to call. I also asked him how he could explain the tire needing air added once a week because the pressure was running low, to which he could only say that there was nothing wrong with the tire. This morning, my husband took the car to NTB, and they discovered a slit in the tire - the same tire that Pep Boys had said had no problems. Interestingly, this tire was purchased at Pep Boys and we got road hazard coverage, so I am pretty sure Pep Boys would have had to provide a free or discounted tire if they had actually discovered a problem that needed to be repaired. Finding no problem with the tire saved them money and cost them a customer.I have lived in this area for over 40 years and have shopped at this store since I was a kid going to pick up parts with my dad, but my experience yesterday was so bad, I will not shop their again. Rude service, no ability to run diagnostics, inability to find a problem easily identified by another shop, and lousy communication by not calling are enough strikes for me. For tires, we will stick with Discount Tire or NTB; for repairs, Plan Auto Hospital.
I had a great experience today at this Pep Boys location. I did a lot of comparison shopping as I needed to get several items finally done on my car (new tires, check brakes, oil change, and a state inspection). I spoke with Kevin and he was able to offer it all and the tires were a great deal (w/ free install). I came in knowing what to expect and they delivered. Appreciate it Kevin!
I waw extremely happy with the service I got on 2-19-2021. However I am really upset. Today I decided to wash my car and I noticed 2 tires are missing lug nuts. Went back today for the then to fix. You put my family at risk.
I drive way out of my way to get my inspection done, as their website said they were open and could do it. I get there and the dude didnt even have a regular schedule! I really think someone in their marketing team should step aside, i need a job. Call me! π
But tires good deal
Worst experience of my life in an auto service shop, never take your car here, worst customer service ever. Even when they have a promise that they will refund the cost of your service they wont do it, i took my car for alignment and they had to redoit 3 times and still pulling to the right, my car came straight and now is messed up. They wont give my money back. Never come here.
Slow. Mechanic struggled to figure out oil Change on a Fiat. And in the end overcharged me. Did not apply a 30% discount coupon on final invoice. Charged extra for a Fiat oil filter... Never againRun away.
Expensive. Basic Skills and competencies. Dont take foreign models if you cant reset sensor after new tires or know to remove plastic from new blade. Most of the desk guys are unfriendly, no customer service. Jeremy has great customer service, hence the second star. Just go to the dealership.
Place was busy but still great service fast friendly staff and very professional.
I visited on a Sunday and the service was pretty quick because they only had 2 other cars in the shop. The service is great but pricing was steep. New brakes for my rear tire was $600.
I trust my Pep boys with not only my car but my kids as well... I have been going there for years and consider them family! They treat you fair, with respect, do quality work, and understand nobody wakes up in the morning wanting to spend $500 on a car repair. Always a great experience! Thank you BOYS!
Very helpful with my car problem
Had a flat missing a piece on my Jack couldnt change my tire they changed it for free.
I broke down in the middle of the say. Pep Boys towing was there within the hour once we got to the shop I was in and out quick with a new battery. The entire process took around 2 hours
Okay Iβm only giving one stars I took my truck here to get a oil change came out leaking took my car back they tried fixing the leak witch was the oil plug still leaks never again the people that worked there really nice but still donβt make up for my 2019 itβs only a year old an I got it on 0 miles
Took my car in for an oil change, they told me I needed two new front tires, air filter, brake fluid...and charged me for windshield wipers without even telling me anything was wrong with them. I paid 400 and now Im seeing that they merely rotated my tires and my wipers still look like the old ones. Watch out if youre a young female. Ask questions and WATCH them.
Over priced compared to surrounding/near by auto shops
I have been coming to this Pep Boys for over 10 years for both routine maintenance and occasional repairs on my older car. The service is outstanding. They are very honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend this location.
Good place to get your car repaired. Good service at a fair price. And they are fast at getting your car back to you. They have rebates on selected services so check that out.
My local, βgo toβ, shop for tires, oil changes, state inspections, etc... The Pep Boys crew are always pleasant and either get me right in or provide an accurate wait-time estimate (distance customers check out their online apt booking). While waiting for your vehicle, enjoy their simple but tidy sitting area with view of the repair shop, tv and complimentary water/coffee. Restrooms are always clean. For extended waits, there are multiple food vendors within walking distance.I always feel prices are reasonable. They are cost conscious and provide product/brand recommendations without being pushy.
They misdiagnosed the issue and were going to charge me $1,800 for something that cost me $60 to fix at an honest mechanic. My wifes AC stopped blowing, so I self diagnosed it to be the blower motor or blower motor resistor. I took it to Pep Boys on Spring Creek to confirm my diagnosis. I paid them $50 to diagnose the issue and they had my car back there for 45 minutes. They confirm what I originally thought was the problem and tell me its $1,800 to fix the issue. I say Ill either do it my self or take it somewhere else that is cheaper.I take it to a mechanic I trust, he looks at the car and within an hour tells me that there was merely a cable that was unplugged. Neither the blower motor or the blower motor resistor needs replacing. He literally plugged the cable back in and it has been working fine for over a week. I paid him $60 to fix it. I paid Pep Boys to diagnose the issue and they incorrectly diagnosed it. Its wild to think how often that probably happens and how often people pay to have things fixed that dont need to be fixed because of a misdiagnosis or lazy diagnosis.I call upset a week and a half later and ask for a refund (on 7/29). The assistant manager (Jason or Jeremy I believe. For whoever at Pep Boys reads this, it was the Assistant Manager who was working Sunday 7/29 at 3 pm) was very professional and understanding even though I was livid on the phone. He deserves recognition for staying collected and being so professional during our phone call because I wasnt happy at all. He tells me that his manager says I can get a refund if I bring in an official diagnosis of what the other mechanic fixed. I only have texts from that mechanic and Jason tells me that wont work (to be fair thats probably a good policy, but its still frustrating). I decide rather than spend 10 minutes arguing and getting nowhere, Ill just write a truthful review about my experience to warn others about a potential misdiagnosis. The $50 isnt a big deal. Its the principle of it that I take issue with. I saved $1,800 by getting a second opinion from a honest mechanic who takes the time and effort to get it right. You can too.
Awesome service and great manager there, receive help on my black 350z
I like to work on my vehicle my self as much as possible, but some times there are issues I cant diagnose my self; my check engine light came on and said it was running lean, which leaves too many possible issues that I dont have the tools to check out so I took it to pep boys. They said it was a part that is no longer available, but I might be able to find it online. They also said it would cost $300 for them to install it so I found one, and installed it my self in under an hour (making sure all gaskets were replaced and it was torqued to spec), reset the check engine light, and it came back on two days later. I took it to another shop, they checked the old parts (they were perfectly fine) and they diagnosed it as 2 bad vacuum lines that cost $12 total. To sum it all up, pep boys diagnosed a simple problem incorrectly, had me source my own parts, and wanted to over charge for their services. I gave 2 stars because they are still good for tires.
I called in the morning about getting a trailer hitch installed on my Dodge Journey. I set an afternoon appointment and when I arrived, I was brought right in. Within an hour, I had a trailer hitch! Greg and his staff are awesome!!!!
Made appt day before to replace upper control arm & alignment. Less than two hours
Super bad noise from brakes so 1000 miles from home, I stopped here for safety. They pulled off my tires and my brakes were fine. An hour down the road, it got crazy. I lost 2 days of Christmas with the family. The wheel bearings were so bad I was a danger to myself and others. The good, honest mechanics told me there was no way even a beginner wrench would have missed how loose my wheels were. Here at Pep boys they just didnt want to do the work apparently. With that said, they were very nice as they avoided a difficult job.
We have 3 vehicles in the family and they all get serviced at this facility. Always professional, friendly and top notch. Theyre open Saturday and Sunday too which is great for the busy work week schedule. Highly recommended!
Upped my stars to 5 because Pep Boys, compared to other quick service shops, is the one place I trust to do the work needing done at a reasonable cost and do it well.Theyve always treated me well, and I have never felt I was being taken advantage of. Sure I prefer somewhere else for some auto items (aka tires), and I do somethings myself, but for routine, small, and medium stuff... Pep Boys... takes care of you. (Maybe they do the large repairs too, but I havent asked.)Both Spring Creek locations, Forest Ave, and Richmond VA, have all provided excellent trustworthy work on my vehicles since 2014, and I will keep going back.+++++The one downside some locations have is whatever computer interface the home office provides them must be not good, because most locations are always squinting and stuck giving it more attention then they ought to have to. (Computer interfaces should help you help the customer... not make you take attention off the customer to do mouse clicks correctly.) But all the shops staff work hard to overcome this handicap theyre saddled with. It doesnt mess up the work they do on the cars.
Prompt, courteous, efficient and professional service
Came in the other day to get an oil change. They told me that they couldnt get the screw out of the oil pan because it was stripped and that to get it out, it would require a new oil pan gasket. They quoted me at ~$500 to get this done.I took it to another shop and they quoted me at $300 to get this done. When they went in to do the work, they were easily able to get the screw out and it wasnt stripped AT ALL! These guys almost outed me $500 just because I dont know anything about cars. Go get a second opinion before letting these guys work on your car.
Ive been going to these guys for about 10 years. Not your typical shop. Honest and innovative. Please be very nice when theyre busy. Theyre busy for a reason.
Good people, great work, face mask its a must
Went here after trying a few other places to get my tire repaired because they had multi hour waits. Pep Boys staff was friendly and got me taken care of swiftly. It was a minor job but I appreciate their fast service and professionalism.
Very helpful point of me right to him what I needed had a problem putting it on and he came out and assisted me with it great service great team
Price was great for shocks and struts (better than any online retailer I could find) Employees were courteous and friendly. Spoke to the guys in the service department to get an estimate for installation, and they were significantly less expensive than other shops I had spoken to in the area. Ive still decided to install myself, so I cant speak to the quality of the service department. Overall though, great experience. Id definitely go there again.
First and only experience at this location was great. Very helpful gentleman helping me even with my dumb questions. Huge fan of the brand!!
Have gone here several times and they have done repairs to my car. As the years passed I became displeased with them as they couldnt solve my air conditioning issue. I had been there several times about it when they said it was fixed..mmmm..about three times and they happily took my money convincing me that it was fixed. Well..it wasnt and had to take it to another place...Car Care Central..that fixed it properly..abound of course..Pep Boys still had my hundreds of dollars that I paid to them. Glad I got it fixed, finally, but if you are going to claim to be a reputable business and tell someone that their issue is fixed, you should make sure, without a doubt that its fixed.
Great selection for my paint and body shop.
Great, timely service and fair pricing. Had 4 wheel alignment and a full oil/filter change. Each time of service they do a multi point inspection at no charge. Very pleased. Clean facility and free fresh Kuerig Coffee Pods
Had my car towed here as they were the closest place to where I was stranded. They were very nice and honest. They checked my car the entire day and (long story short) when they couldnt find anything wrong with my car and was running fine, they ended up not charging me for the investigating they normally charge for.
Nikita was very helpful & pleasant to work with as with the service guy who installed the windshield wipers, I bought there! It was a great one stop shop morning, very quick & efficient! Thanks guys!
I could only say that whenever I need a help with my car that the best place Pep Boys Auto...
These guys are such gentlemen! I discovered a bad leak in my tire and had to air it up in the parking lot of my sons soccer game. I pulled in Pep Boys to see if they could check it out. When they found out my son was playing while I was dealing with this inconvience, the manager told them to make it quick to get me back to the game. A removed nail and a quick plug later they had my car ready to go. Then when I tried to pay, they said it was on them and to enjoy the day. What a surprise! It was awesome customer service even without the free gesture. Thank you guys for taking care of me so well!
On my way to work, I ran over something and flattened two of my tires. I was in a bind and upon getting my car towed to the nearest auto service, which was Pep Boys off Spring Creek in Plano, I was please to find that the service was great and accommodating. Because of limited funds, that staff worked with me to get my tired replaced for a price that I could afford. And they did a great job. I am very pleased with my service from Pep Boys, and I would recommend them to anyone.
The worst location in history! They donβt speak when you enter, they donβt help, theyβre just existing in the store . Rude, horrible customer service skills .
The service is good but they DO NOT report to carfax. They will tell you they do but of course they lie. Kwik Lube in plano reports everything they do to your car even if the service is free.
I had a headlight out. Ive never taken my car apart to fix this before, and the YouTube videos make it look crazy, so when I bought the replacement bulbs I was told I could drive around to service and see if they could install them. The guy said they would, for $30 per bulb. So the installation was gonna be 60 dollars and I bought the high end bulbs for $52. The instillation was more than the bulbs. So I told the guy Id figure it out. Then to add insult to injury, I placed my order online so I got an email saying 10% off my next service and it lists the prices below it and clear as day says small bulb installation starts at $9.99. I wonder why they quoted me 3X that. I emailed their customer service on Tuesday and its now Friday and havent heard from a soul. Oh and to top it all off, I bought the wrong bulbs. So Ill be returning them this morning. If they would have installed them for a decent price, they would have caught the error. I plan to return these this morning and never return to one of their stores again!
I came to this place to get my tire replaced. Though I came here 1st, the mechanic chose to fix someone elses car first, who came later, despite being told that I had to reach some place urgent. Completely unhappy. I have been to Discount tires and I found their service and their customer service far better. Would never return back here.
Went on for a simple oil change. After the mechanic changed the oil, he set in my car with it running for at least 10 minutes, but I think it was closer to 15.While I was paying, I asked why that was....the guy at the register said the mechanic was resetting my oil light and that it was complicated and he was too good at yet, so it takes him longer.I drive two blocks...oil light comes on. I turn around and go back....they set there for another 10 minutes messing with it...car on again...burning gas...again.Couldnt figure out..because the light wasnt on. I drive towards home, and about 10-15 minutes later ..oil light came on again.Called them....very condescending, said nothing they could do over the phone. I hung up.He could have told me how to do it myself. This 60 yr old grandmother figured it out, as I was driving down a country road.Took less than 20 seconds...and I was having to watch the road. What a joke this Pep Boys is....DO NOt go here, unless you have time to keep going back and like being talked to like a 4 yr old and insulted.
These guys were great! It was Thursday night and 5 minutes to closing when I drove in with a nail in my tire losing air. They took the time to delay closing so that they could repair my tire. That is going above and beyond.
It looks so different since they remodeled but I still favor them over auto zone but do shop at all auto parts for different pricesOdcuts and priceing.
Bought 4 new Cooper all terrain tires for $200 more than what the out the door online price was they broke off a lug nut didnt even bother to remove the blue from the new tireand told me because I refused to get an alignment there that it voided the fifty thousand mile warranty on my new tires I will never use this place again and I would not refer it to my worst enemy
Today 8/5/19 went to location 928 w spring creek pkwy Plano for a tire repair waited 10 minutes before some one asked what they could assist with 2 people there. It was 10:00am Texas time told me it would be 2 1/2 hours before they could get to me I realize Mondayβs are probably most busiest day but that to me was unacceptable especially when you pull up the location on internet it says can get you out in 45min to hour. Told him disappointed since I generally do business with Pep Boys told him guess would go down to DISCOUNT TIRE he said ok.Did go to Discount Tire they might have had 2 more stalls for cars than PB and same amount of busy with 6 people to assist at check in. They quoted me a hour wait time.Very disappointed with PB since I have been doing business 4-5 years since moving to Plano maybe more donβt quite remember. This PB could use some improvement!
Found a screw in my tire with rapidly decreasing pressure, happened to be right next to Pep Boys but they closed in 2 minutes. Pulled in and they helped without hesitation. The entire staff was polite and helpful.
The worst service ever.....Im so sick of everyone waiting for the next man to take care of the customer and ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTITUDE. They always seem bothered and unwilling to help. Been living down the street for 20yrs and avoid going here at all times except for emergencies
One of the only places open late: they got us in and fixed us up quick.
Bad customer service. Bought my 5 year alignment at another store. Came to this store and they told me they could not see it on my account and asked if I had the receipt of buying the alignment. They expect someone to keep a receipt of some thing I bought several years ago and always bring it with me. Thatβs insane. What they couldβve done was ask me what store I bought it from and call or let me know so I can call to get the invoice number. The manager name Greg had bad attitude and cut me off while I was talking to another tech. No more service at this store.
Just left here to find specialty tools. The know it all didnt have what I needed, then chastised me for stepping in the back saying its for commercial accounts only. I wont be coming back ever again. Prices are full price and no discount for coolant, oils and wax products! Prices are $2 to $3 cheaper for the same products at Walmart. No thanks to Pecker Boys!
Poor customer service. They dont have a happy face when you go with a question about the service.I explicitly asked where few services are optional so that I can get skip paying it. The staff gave me wrong information that it is mandatory I have no way to skip it however when I contacted the customer service they told hazard warrenty for tires is totally optional. They charged minimum for wheel alignment even when I showed the invoice for life time free alignment form pep boys.
Alright no one really is there to help you
Great job and the welcome man and assistant manager were great.
Had a slow leak in my back tire. Went to pay and they said dont worry about it thanks for being a good customer. Great service and the fastest oil change in the area.
The guys in the service area are awesome and honest and arent pushy in trying to convince you to get work done on your car, but theyll be real about what needs to be taken care of. I also go here for state inspections. Rashad has taken care of me multiple times and is super great along with the rest of the team.
The manager Greg and Karissa were absolutely amazing and patient. Im not that smart and they broke down costs and options and which doo hickies I should get and the average costs and breakdowns. Needless to say, I will be returning.
Helpful, friendly staff.
NTB tried to convince me that I needed $3,700 in repairs (Im a woman, go figure) and Ignacio here at Pep Boys in Plano took the best care of me. All I needed was an alignment and two tires. I cannot thank you enough for being honest, and for the truly fantastic customer service. In an industry that is constantly breathing down my neck to spend money I dont need to, I appreciate you more than you know. I am a customer here for life. Thank you again!
ILLEGALLY SEIZED OUR VEHICLE AND LIED TO THE POLICE ABOUT IT!!! LIED ABOUT AN EXTRA $200 WORTH OF WORK WE NEEDED AND TRIED TO OVERCHARGE US FOR TOWING! NEVER GOING HERE EVER AGAIN IN LIFE!
Brought my Volkswagen CC in for new tires, fastest tire service I have ever experienced. They did not push any products or services on me out of nowhere.
Very satisfied with my experience here! Thank you for being an honest business.
Too expensive. They charge you for a membership of some kind for $20 then they give you a $20 discount on your service. I went to Walmart and git it done cheaper and the service staff was friendlier.
Is it your policy to not help someone that shows up 35 minutes before closing time? I would like to know for future reference, so next time my tires air starts airing out nonstop I save myself from coming here. We were denied service because it was close to closing time. Thank you.
Do not go here. Stopped in with a noise seemingly from my brakes. With no one waiting I was told that they were too busy, and I had to leave my car with them. I explained that I live an hour away, and he yielded. After about 45 min in the waiting room he came in and without explanation told me it would be $4,800 and I needed to leave it with him for two days, but they were ready to start now (what happened to being busy). Pressing for details, I was told that my brakes (replaced 10,000 miles ago at another Pepboys) were worn out ($250), I needed new engine mounts ($480) and that my entire suspension needed to be replaced. I told him I couldnt leave it with him, and I would have to think about that money, to which he implied that my car was so unsafe that I shouldnt even drive home.I decided that since the brakes were supposedly bad I would try to get a second opinion from the original Pepboys. Long story made short after some fantastic service that Ive written about on their page, everything was fixed by spending $220 on replacing my engine mounts.Again, you should avoid this location at all cost.
Great place to do business. Awesome service department. Got my car in and out and they cleaned it and did my tire rotation and fluids for free!
Alex was very helpful and honest. Gave me great deal on a new battery. Been here twice and impressed both times.
Went to buy tires .service manager wanted to help but was VERY BUSY. Nice PEOPLE THANKS
I regret doing business with this company. Im so upset with their costumer service. They are just not nice. The two stores Ive visited Ive been told I cant help you or Im going to lunch. The tires that were sold to me did not last two months. When I went back they changed it but didnt balance the car and it cause my other tire to wear down. This time they didnt want to honor the warranty. The prices went up on the same tire and the alignment is over priced. Not going back ever and Im making sure my family and friends dont make the same mistake.
I have been using this location since 2003 and I would give 5 stars but in the last few years, the service has been pushing higher cost solutions to simple problems. Only a few of the regular mechanics are still there and the only reason I still go there. They diagnose the problem and will discuss different remedies, instead of slapping you with dealership pricing. When I noted to the mechanic that alot of the old mechanics were gone, I was told that corporate had changed their pay scale for mechanics and that they now get a low scale + percentage on services rendered. Way to go corporate, great way to reward dishonest or unskilled newbies and lose customer loyalty. Take care of your Mechanics so they can take care of their customers.
I have mixed feelings. Im a diyer, so I only come here for parts and supplies. About a year or so ago they changed the store to mostly wholesale parts rather than retail, so the actual store is now much smaller, about like an OReillys. I understand, its a business decision. What I really dont like is when the cashier constantly asks me if I want to buy this or that or the other thing. Suggest one thing, thats typical. Suggest 4-5 things, annoying.
