Opening hours a bit odd, but super friendly. Real good at what they do. Found my problem within a matter of minutes. Just be patient with them on the time they open shop and I think they will do you a good job.
Absolutely fantastic work.I took my car to 4 other shops and they could not figure out where the short was in my tail lights.AES got me going in 2 days.
They where the only shop that knew how to install an aftermarket performance singer alternator. All the other shops I took it to just complained that it wasnt a 100% bolt on and they couldnt figure out how to install it. Auto electric was able to extend the top bracket in order to make it flush. Price wasnt bad and they were confident that they could get it to work. Thank you
Best place to get your electrical needs done. Brought in my Pontiac Fiero and got them to fix a electrical issue I couldnt figure out for weeks. Was awesome to hear that the mechanic who fixed our car worked on a Fiero before he was super knowledgeable about the questions we had about some stuff which guided us for the next steps in our project. Lady at the front desk was super helpful in filling us in when whenever we called. Still a lot left to do on the car and things arent perfect but hey its a 30 some year old car but these guys definitely helped me and my buddy out on this project car on the electrical end of things as well as a brake and rotor change. Shout out to the mechanic who worked on the car for us sorry we didnt get your name but super happy this things is up and running without battery drainage anymore.
I have had issues getting my check engine light to go off despite having my vehicle worked on by numerous places. Finally I was recommended to visit AES by my local Firestone to see if the engine light was an electrical problem. Instead of doing expensive repairs that may not have been necessary, Robert suggested a conservative route first (oil system flush) to see if the codes popping up would clear out before digging into major electrical issues. It worked! I highly recommend this place. They are ethical and honest, they treat your car as they would their own. Auto shops can be hard to trust but AES will treat you right!
I truly appreciate this shop. They fixed the airbag light on my truck that three other shops could not. I especially appreciate the front desk lady (Jennifer I think) as she was as informative as possible and always kept me in the loop. I highly recommend this shop and would come back again.
Fixed an electrical issue no one has been able to fix for 2ys.
I know that Robert and Jennifer, husband and wife, try hard to do right by the customer. I had taken my 2011 Silverado pick-up truck in because I kept replacing batteries within months of each other. I was hoping that AES would be able to find the problem because AAA said that they would have to charge me for the 4th battery that would have been replaced within a year, so instead of purchasing another battery from AAA, which I was told that their batteries are not that reliable, so I purchased one from Pepboys. I came out two days later in the morning only to find out that I was faced with the same problem, dead battery. I had 6mo warranty left on the AAA battery when I choose to go to Pepboys based on what I was told.Long story short, I talked with Robert and he asked me to give him another chance to make it right, which I at first agreed. After giving it some thought and realized that I couldnt be without my truck for several days, I decided to have someone else look at it. I told Jennifer about my decision and she said that she would let Robert know. Meanwhile I also purchased a portable battery charger just incase. The reason that I decided not to have AES look at the truck again was that I had taken my Silverado pick-up back for the same problem several times and told that they was testing it to recreate the problem after feeling that they had found it. This happened several times and after the fouth time, I had lost all faith in their ability. This is what I shared with Robert.
I took my 2004 Nissan Titan LE here last Friday and got it out the shop today. The mechanics here are great my ECM was shorted and my grounding I was told was bad. They were pretty reasonable regarding the work that was done. Would always come here for all my auto electric needs.
Robert is very professional and knowledgeable without question, it only took him a couple hours to diagnose my issue on my Lexus GX 470, and Jennifer at the front desk was very helpful and cheerful. What a awesome shop and great team working there.I have taken 3 cars there over the past 5 years and always more than pleased with the overall experience I received!I highly recommend AES for any electrical issues your car is experiencing!!
The best and and talented auto electric professional I have ever came across. Here you can get 100 % diagnostic accuracy. And respects the appointment. I had my three cars get fixed here and now have piece of mind. Never had a an electric problem since then.
They repaired my RAV4 after multiple auto shops in Collin County failed to do so. The vehicle promptly passed state inspection and was operating better than ever. They kept me updated through the whole process. They are very friendly and definitely subject matter experts in their field. I strongly recommend their services.
I tried calling probably 4-5 times over the past few weeks, but they didnt answer the phone, just went to voicemail. I also drove there recently on a Wednesday to see if maybe they were just too busy they couldnt answer, but they had a sign up saying they were closed in the middle of the day. They had cars out front, so Im not sure if they are still in business or what. At a minimum it would appear that they are experiencing customer service issues. I used them once before a few year back and didnt have any issues getting in and out, and they did great work. Now Im not sure if they are even open to the public.
Cheap price. Good service. Robert fixed my car very fast only 20 hours. I couldnt imagine about that. Because everything is very good so you have to make appoinment before coming. Moreover, there are not many parking lots because they have many many customers. Thank you Robert and Jennifer for your help.
Amazing group of people! Robert and Jennifer were incredible to work with and I will be telling anyone who will listen about them.I needed to fix the AC in my car. Took it to another shop that Ive worked with in the past. They replaced my compressor and sent me on my way. AC worked for 2 days and quit. Took it back and the original group said it was an electrical issue and recommended Auto Electric. I took my car over there and they checked it out and got back to me right away - it was a computer issue. They worked with me on the cost and got it replaced right away. Took it home and the AC quit a couple days later. I called Robert because I was concerned that my other mechanic was going to make assumptions about replacing other parts and Id wind up paying out alot more money for something I didnt need. I was honest with Robert and explained this and he said, bring it to me and Ill check it out. Well, he checked it out and found that the brand new compressor was leaking. After having the brand new compressor replaced again, I still had problems. I called Robert again and he said to bring it in to him. He checked the whole AC system out and found that none of the seals had been replaced and they were all leaking. Keep in mind - this wasnt his responsibility - all he did and all he was responsible for was the computer. He took extra care to make sure the entire system was operating perfectly before he gave my car back. He bent over backwards to make sure my AC was working including removing and reinstalling the compressor to make sure everything was good. He took responsibility for the other guys less than perfect work and never said a negative thing. He should have charged me a bundle for all the time he put into this and didnt either - he just kept telling me it was his responsibility even though it wasnt.I also loved the family oriented feeling of the business. Knowing that this is family owned and operated and that family is important to them made me feel even better about my car being there. And the Diagnostic fee of only $80 thats good for a year was well worth it to me and less expensive that anyone else.If youre looking for someone honest and thorough, this is the place to go. I would trust them with anything, anytime. I cannot say enough good things about this group.
Super helpful. We live in Denton but the car broke down in Dallas and they helped us out without ever actually speaking in person. Literally a life saver
Brought my Altima in last week for some nagging electrical issues.I was informed of all things involved with the repair process, I am very happy with the work completed, my car runs significantly better, and the work was completed in a fair amount of time.Just as a side note for the previous reviewer: If you see a non-franchise, non-big-name shop with many vehicles on site *that is not a bad thing*. It means they are recognized by their peers who send customers to them, and by previous customers who refer their friends/family because they know the issue(s) will be fixed correctly the first time around.
I called several places, trying to get an estimate, with no luck. The last 2 or 3 places, didnt even answer when I called back. I called AES in the afternoon on a Wednesday and spoke to Jennifer. She went above and beyond to find the correct part for my car, working well into the evening. By Thursday, the part was in, and by Friday afternoon, my car was repaired AND at half the cost the dealer estimated to do the exact same thing. Friendly and professional!10 stars!!!
Unbelievable. I took my car to them on a recommendation, after getting an obscene quote from the dealer, and they were able to save me over $1,000 from what the dealer quoted me.Great service, they know their stuff, and I couldnt be more pleased. 10/10 would recommend.
I came in to see if I could get a custom length battery cable and the more I got to talking with the owner I was able to get an awesome battery cable with heat shielding and vibration absorbion. A very custom cable at a very reasonable price. Great customer service!
I took my car to 3 different places and no one could tell me what my problem was! I took my car to Robert and he figured out the problem and had it fixed within 2 days! I was very impressed with the quickness and professional service that Robert provided! I would recommend anyone with an electrical problem to go see Robert!
This company in general and specifically Jennifer are top class. I rarely write reviews but this one was necessary. I dropped off my vehicle in order to get the tag lights fixed. I have 2 jobs that require my truck for both. So every day my truck was in the garage I was losing $200 a day. They genuinely cared about that fact. In fact, they changed the priority to urgent. They do have alot of business so they didnt immediately get to my vehicle. I had 2 other diagnostics done elsewhere, and neither one was more affordable and neither could figure out what powas wrong. Bunch of wasted money. Jennifer is super nice, understanding, affordable and trustworthy. My truck was fixed no problem and I even got a discount at the time. If youre having vehicle electrical problems....I strongly recommend going to AES. You will be pleasantly surprised at their diagnostics service, given the best pricing you can get, and again THE MOST AFFORDABLE option in Plano, tx. They guarantee the work as well. No I was not paid to write this. Simply here to express my thoughts on a fantastic company and persons who work there. Im an AES customer for LIFE.
I took my Volkswagen here with electrical issues that no one was able to figure out. And they did! Also with a good price! I am very happy with the service!
These guys are true experts. Theyve been doing this type of work in the same location for a long time now. Theyve maintained an excellent reputation through the years and are definitely the go to guys for electrical issues.Larry SmithA.S.E. Certified Master technician
These are amazing people with excellent skills in the shop. When I came in I was frustrated, confused, broke (had already paid another shop), and on the verge of tears. They not only identified the real problem but gave me a bit more knowledge to help me with the rest. There were friendly and kind in a moment where I needed it most and had my truck back up and running in less than a day once the problem was identified. I would recommend them to EVERYONE.
Worst service I have ever received, took my car first thing early morning at 8:30, 3rd car in on monday, by Friday they had not done anything to it, spend $30.00 on Uber everyday, they were recommended by my usual shop for the last time since they had heard stories, I had to take out my car with nothing done to it and they even forgot to leave the key, luckily there was someone at the shop at 8 pm. working with small claims court now.
I highly recommend AES to anyone that has electrical problems. We had an issue, where three warning lights came on simultaneously overnight. Robert was able to diagnose issue quickly & resolve it by replacing knock sensor. Turns out varmints had created a home in our Toyota Sequoia engine and he not only resolved problem and cleaned up our engine from their debris (yuck), but offered suggestions on how to prevent it from happening in the future.
Quick and painless. They really know what their doing and it’s cheap. They fixed everything on my 90yota pickup. Customer for life
Robert is awesome. I can’t find time to work on my own vehicles at times during busy season outside of basic fluid changes or wearable items (brakes, battery, etc). He is the only one I would trust with my car or trucks to do the work right and not charge me dealership price. Therefore he is the only mechanic I would leave my car with and not insist on staying and watching them perform the work. I have reffered multiple friends and family members and he has solved every issue thrown at him. Some small. Some large. Never over priced. He always goes the extra mile. He has solved engine issues I wouldn’t even try to diagnose. His wife is lovely and runs the front end of the shop. His kids are sometimes there as they are home schooled but are always polite.Yes he has a bunch of cars in the back waiting to get in the shop. Sometimes patience is a virtue. Some issues can’t be solved in one try. One issue can typically lead to the next. You can’t get all 3 of price, service, and speed on some things. You can really only have 2 out of the 3. I prefer fair prices and good service/work so Robert and his wife’s shop is perfect for me even if a little far from my house and I have to wait my turn in line to get fixed up.I’ll end on a story. My uncle had his mechanic look at his truck that was misfiring. His mechanic did fix a big issue with the truck but it still was misfiring and not running right. He took it to another mechanic who couldn’t figure out the misfire either. I convinced him to take it to Robert after a month on his own trying to get it done. A week later my uncle was driving his own truck again and not borrowing mine. He was close to putting his Ford for sale with only a little over 100k on it just because he was tired of dealing with it. Robert saved him from having to buy another used truck. Not enough adjectives to describe how good this shop is. Been over a year, 6-7 different vechicles between friends, family, and I; and he has knocked it out of the park each time.
Smart, professional guys. Took care of two problems on my Sentra and were very reasonable with the pricing. Even made good conversation while I waited. Going to keep their number for any future electrical issues and would highly recommend to anybody else.
I bought a car that was an electrical nightmare to say the least. Such a nightmare I couldnt find a qualified mechanic in 50 miles to touch the thing. Thank God I found Auto Electric Services! These guys were up for the challenge! Not only did they fix the electrical nightmare, but they also took care of a long list of repairs I was needing to tend to. Thank you guys for your patience and the awesome work you do! Im sure Ill be back with a new project car soon!
My 2008 Hyundai Tiburons dash lights and tail lights were not working. After calling for atleast 2 months finally got a spot to drop off the car. The car was in the shop for 10 days and finally got it fixed BUT THE ISSUE that I have is that my keyfob was no longer working. I called them up and the lady who answered said you should try changing the battery and if not call back. I did that and still not working and called her back. She says we can take a look at it and will tell you how much to fix. I asked her are you going to charge me for this? And she said ya, we have a lot of people who try to do this. I got furious and asked her if she was accusing me and she said no but I am just saying we have a lot of people try to do things like this and then she says that the keyfob was not working at all in the first place and I told her that the day I dropped off the car I locked my car with the keyfob and after I picked it up it was not working, so I am not sure where else I should be looking.Utterly disappointed with the way they run things and not going to go back whatsoever. Would rather take it to reliable and honest place even if I have to spend more.
Robert is a genius, fixed my car after being through 3 other shops including the dealer. It took some time, but he kept me informed and got the issue resolved.
Robert and crew were able to properly diagnose the problem and replace the entire wiring harness in my wifes Lincoln Navigator. They did a great job for a fair price and we couldnt be happier with the result. The truck is better than ever now. We took the truck to a few shops before finding AES and they either didnt know whats the problem was or didnt have the tools to fix it. Robert promised he could handle the job and saved me money in the process. GO TO AES FIRST TO SAVE TIME AND MONEY!!!
This place was absolutely packed with cars and I barely found a place to park out front. Its a rundown dump of a shop all around in a tiny little junkyard looking lot. Went inside to inquire about getting my car looked at and the airhead behind the counter didnt seem to know what she was talking about. I needed to know the best time to bring my car in, how long it would take to diagnose the problem. She went to the back area to check, the mechanic didnt want to come out and spend 5 minutes talking to me. The airhead answered the phone and didnt know how to put a call on hold. Also this junkyard is a daycare as there were children running around as well. $100 just to diagnose the problem. This is another ripoff mechanic shop added to the many others throughout DFW. Not sure why this place got so many 5 star reviews. Also this place doesnt have a car service or anything which is unusual given their pricing
AES did the wiring on seat heaters I gave my wife for Christmas. The work was impeccable, and they went the extra mile in helping me find a suitable location for the switches. If youre curious, the installation was in a MB GLK 350, and as non-smokers, we rededicated the ash tray to the seat heaters.
I had great service there replacing the BCM on my Jeep Liberty. One of the more painless experiences Ive had on car repair.
About a month ago, my 15 year old Monte Carlo started doing some funny things electrically. Lights dimming, warning messages for things not happening, security light coming on intermittently, etc.On the recommendation of several auto shops, I went to AES. I was told they are the best in town for electrical issues. After getting my car in (they are VERY busy), they diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote I felt was reasonable for the work involved.Robert, the owner, was most helpful with options for repair.Jennifer, in the front office, couldnt have been nicer.I have had my car back now for several weeks and it works like new.If you have electrical problems, dont waste your time with other garages. Go right to AES. Get it done right the first time.
Great people and service!! Highly recommend!!
Robert at Auto Electrical Systems worked so hard to diagnose a problem that I have had with my Jetta. This is a problem that the Volkswagen service department cannot figure out. I really appreciate that he was honest enough to tell me that he wouldnt recommend repairs unless he could definitely find the problem. The elusive problem was not found however, Robert did find a couple small problems and repaired them and he told me that he would be happy to keep my car for as long as it took to find the problem. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who needs auto repairs in the electrical area of their car.
I have been going to AES for almost 10 years now for all of my auto electrical and basic mechanic work needs!! I feel i can trust them with my vehicle Robert has been there since the beginning and stands by his work. Very reasonable prices and wonderful customer service. And the beautiful blonde girl at the front is so helpful and always so cheerful. I recommend if you need auto electrical work call AES plano.
I have a 75 Cadillac Eldorado that I have put custom work into. The shop Trendsetters that did all of my customizations installed my alarm system wrong. I had pop trunk (basically remote control trunk) hooked up thru my alarm in which my relays always were in engaged. Big problem. It caused my car to drain continuously. This problem lasted for a few years. I continued to take it back to trendsetters and they continued to troubleshoot the issue charging me for any and everything else they could find wrong but never diagnosing my real issue. The drain. So finally I brought my car to Robert here @ AES & he figured the problem out in just a couple weeks. And it wasnt too expensive of a fix. Im certainly glad I met this guy and this shop. I would recommend him to anyone.
The dealership couldnt figure out why my car kept loosing a charge. Other places wouldnt touch it because it was a SAAB. AES did one repair but I kept having the problem- and I felt hopeless. But when we told him it was still doing the same thing he immediately took the car back did a second adjustment and then a third without any extra charge and now it runs perfectly- no more drained battery. I have a reliable car back! I would highly recommend anyone who is having electrical issues to use AES. I found him to be honest and hard-working and knowledgeable (far above the Sewell dealership we tried first).
Nice work on my (98 Nissan Frontier) Robert and staff very professional, Very fast and accurate service, I would definitely recommend this business. Thanks your friend,Audi
Took care of us, reasonably priced.
Robert can fix anything, great prices
A+ I had a terrible wiring problem in my 84 Toyota pickup so bad I had lost hope that it could even be fixed. In less then 24 hours I had my truck back and they had solved all my electrical problems. Thanks again AES!
Friendly staff
Completely fair and honest.
Great Job
Great job!
Pretty bad.
