Used to be 5 stars but some man who possibly works here (wearing white like an apron or cleaning overcoat, shaved head, short like 52) goes into the womens restroom to open stalls and look in the cracks of the doors

OMG....one of the best Asian grocery place in the area. And next to our favorite noodle place next door. They stock various ingredients thats not readily available in other markets. We bought the last 2 packets of Teans curry laksa paste. Workers there are helpful, said they will restock in 3 weeks. Also found these 2 types if instant noodles from Malaysia which are my sons favorite. They also stock on candlenuts which is the heart of nyonya cooking and I have not seen those outside Malaysia/Singapore. We didnt see any curry leaves which is a shame but hopefully thats just a stocking problem. They also have a well stocked kitchen utensils aisle and have a traditional coconut grater if you are looking to grate your own.

Out of all the asian marts in the area, this is still the one i come back to. I think its also because of all the restaurants in the immediate area and also the selection is not too bad. Prices are decent. Recently they opened up a new yogurt drink thats all the rage in asia. Its delicious and i think better than boba tea etc. Give it a try. The mango sago with pomelo is so good

This is an Asian food market with large variety of Asian vegetables, meats and seafood.Also candies, snacks, sauces and many other Asian products. Inside the market in the back part there are 3 o 4 Asian food stands and an Asian bakery. Place is very clean and good service.

They have a lot of fresh vegetables and seafood, not a lot of meats! Can never find stuff, always moved around, really have to go up and down the aisles to find what you are looking for! Never anyone on an aisle to ask for help to find something. There are only 3 food restaurants left in this market, the one that did dim sum and other hot foods to pick from is not there anymore, looks like just hanging meat and other meats.

Great korean market. I love the seafood options. The tanks sometimes is full with fresh fish and other water creatures. Lol

Today was my 1st time visiting this store. I just so happened to be in the area. I really like this store because everything was so organized, clean & well laid out. Even the meat department was super organized & labeled. I found everything I was looking for to do some specialized cooking. I wish I lived closer, because I really liked it.

Clean Asian grocery store. Theres not a lot of people walking around available to help, but the cashiers are friendly and El try to help you. Theyve got lots of hotpot ready items in the freezer section. Prices seem pretty comparable to other competitors.

Went to zTAO today to buy a large amount (50 pounds) of live clams. While I was looking at the different varieties they had, the lady at the fish counter told me I had been there too long. When I tried to take a cell phone picture of the ones I wanted, she told me they dont allow photos of their food. I asked her if they had 50 pounds available. She said they didnt have anything for me and that I had been there too long. How rude! I went to another Asian grocery store and bought my clams. I guess they didnt care about loosing a $600 sale. No stars would be more appropriate.

On several occasions they had dead fish, shrimp, and lobster in there tanks

Amazing place to shop for a wide variety of exotic Asian items. Clean and spacious with ample parking. Beautiful selection of fresh fish/seafood ranging from live catfish to live lobster and crab and tons more in between. Pricing is extremely competitive, even beating out Aldi in some of their produce options. The staff is very helpful and attentive. Strongly recommend this location to anyone looking for a change in diet, or just wanting some live fish for a fry.

Im impressed with the seafood section and love the store, its affordable, Im from louisiana, and seafood was a main staple of our diet, to find a store where king crab is alive in a tank and red prawns aswell is quite a feet, its like traveling to Asia with out leaving the country, truly impressed with the seafood section very clean aswell

It has everything I need, fruits, veggies and snacks, raw shrimp is fresh and inexpensive, only complaint is some of the songs they played on speakers are pretty annoying, especially Chinese rap. Some Jay Chou would be nice.

This place is great! Their seafood is good quality and the prices are unbeatable! Even their meat selection is fresh! I would say they are cheaper than 99 ranch or hmart. We also love their fruit selections. The papaya is juicy and we tried the Yellow dragon fruit for the first time, I would say it was the best variety I have tasted.. Recommend!

I did not get any help when I asked for. The cashier didnt try to help and left me alone. Overall everything has been good until today. I would suggest to train the employees so they know the answer or have a manager in the shop. I just had a general question about the shop service, not a hard question. Hopefully next time at least the cashier can show a better attitude.

The store was clean. I found things very easy to find. I am from San Francisco and I was impressed with the store. I live in Las Vegas, NV now and this store is better than the store I have gone too in Vegas.

After taking what seemed like an eternity to open zTAO was well worth the wait. I go there mainly for a few canned items, liner paper for my bamboo steamer and frozen items, but if youre a cook in Southwest Plano who wants to experiment with Chinese cuisine it has everything you need from woks, to ingredients to chopsticks.My favorite is the selection of bulk fish balls.

Do not shop there! Do not buy your restaurant supply there. Their management accused us for shopping with restaurant discount card while we shop groceries for our own restaurant. It happened this afternoon when we finished shopping and at the checkout counter. A short-haired lady claiming to be the store management accused us of misuse the restaurant shopping discount card and denied service very rudely. Even after we explained to her that this is for our business use this evening, she still won’t denied service and she even screamed at us. She threatened to confiscate the discount card and when we tried to reason with her, she called the police and forced us out of the store. All we shopped that day are grocery items which is for our restaurant use this evening. Their accusation is unfounded and behavior unprofessional. This is definitely not acceptable. I would call on my restaurant colleagues to be aware of this kind of behavior and think twice when you send your business there.

A new favorite place to eat. Spicy minced pork noodles. Dumplings are handmade there. The lunch box is reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Clean as well. But the tables are a little untidy. No one cleans up after you.

Love to go watch the live seafood. The alaskan crabs are $49 a pound and amazing to see. The lobsters are $16-18 a pound and delicious.

Dirty, the staff clearly does not care about the apperance of the produce they put on the shelf.Does not open on time. They made customers wait outside for over 30 minutes past the posted opening times.The good is that they have asian spices/cooking sauces that are not available elsewhere.

Fairly limited choices but geographical coverage is average. Well stocked and easily locatable with practical signage. Worth an occasional detour to check out newer introductions.

Terrible cashier. Cabbage posting at 70127 selling at $.79. Cashier is insisting charging me at code 70128. Showed the cashier the exact price and code where I get cabbage. She told me that she still has to charge me at 70128 per what she is being told. She told me that they listed the price wrong. How can an employee not honoring the price the her company listed. She entered the code wrong and is not willing and insist not to change what was entered incorrectly. She has attitude issue to the customer. I posted the price and the cashier pictures in the photos section. Doesn’t know how to attach the pictures here with the message. I also asked her I want to talk to the managers. She told me that managers left the store after 5pm.

I love to go here. The vegetables are fresh and cheap here but the fish not fresh.

It’s a good Asian grocery store. There are varieties of seafood. I got coconut, mango and jackfruit ice creams from here. And its so yummy.

U get live seafood like tilapia, cod, crabs etc.

This place is great. I found this place during the weekend while just driving around& they had so many great choices to choose from. They have great prices, & very clean. Its great to go in their snack aisle & buy multiple snacks from other countries to try. Will definitely go again to have an at-home Korean BBQ. :)

Decent product assortments. Not as great as Ranch 99 but good enough. Convenient location for the west Plano area. My only complaint is: Occasionally you would encounter a cashier with an impatient, rude, and condescending attitude, like one from a state-run store in China back in the 80s. Makes you feel like you are time traveling :) The management team might consider screening their job candidates better or providing more trainings to their employees. This was the the reason I gave it a three-star rating instead of four.

One thing stood out to me about ZTao is that it is very well lit. The lighting design definitely helps ZTao stand out compared to 99Ranch or HMart, and I appreciate it a lot.I also really like the meat section layout. Above all the fridges are diagrams guiding you where each cut of meat are from in terms of the animal.

The cashier is impatient, just staring blankly at you and wont tell you that you have settled the bill. When asked if she helped me with points? She said you didnt tell me that you have a point card. Speak very bluntly! Talk as if you are going to fight!

Seafood department is terrible attitudes and change the fish from living one to dead one.

We usually go for the crabs the staff will ignore you while waiting for service at seafood and help out of order, other than that no complaints.

Terrible experience at this place. The store closes at 9pm, we walked in at 8:45pm on Tuesday night and a female cashier rudely told us and two other customers to get out because they are closing. Why would you reject people into a supermarket 15 minutes before you close. We will never come back again.

Have you ever wanted to be confused how to enter a Supermarket? Welcome to zTao, where the main entrance is located to one side (and only one side) while the main exit is located right in the center. Somewhere along the line someone thought this was a great idea.This super market is not large, but it carries enough produce and the essential Asian (Chinese/Japanese/Korean, not sure about Indian) groceries that you might be looking for. They also contain 2 indoor cafes and a bakery (that appears closed as of October of 2020).No liquor in this market. This is Texas, go next door to the liquor store in the same shopping center instead.

I have to write a review on the restaurant that sells the Beijing duck inside zTao. I went to pickup a duck order we reserved the day before. I got there, and it looks like they were busy with some phone orders and other things but there literally was no one else in line and I was standing DIRECTLY IN FRONT of the register just two feet away just WAITING and they would not acknowledge me AT ALL. I literally waited for 15 minutes and finally they looked at me after I started saying something. All they needed to do was tell me to wait a little bit or just acknowledge my presence and it would have been fine but they didnt even do that. I dont know if its because I looked younger or what but I felt so frustrated by this act. It is the worst customer service I have experienced. THEY DIDNT even apologize afterwards which infuriates me even more. I should have not even bought my duck but I want to post this and let people know DO NOT EXPECT GOOD SERVICE at the restaurant counter.
