Today, I bought a dozen packs of dumpling wraps to cook dumplings for dinner. When I opened the first four. I found three of them had fungus and rotten slices with disgusting smell. I put them in the trash can immediately. But It is not the end. I came back to the store with unopened packages for return and I met the worst customer service; her name is Kelly. When I show her the pictures, she argued that I had to bring the open packages for full refund. Otherwise, she cannot take my complaint is valid and refused full refund. She seemed that her loud voice proved she is right. She generously issue refund for the unopened products and tried to teach me it is exceptional favor. Her attitude is more bothering than the disgusting quality of the food. She never said SorryAs she finished refund, she bought the products back to the fridge and restock them!!! She didnt even check the package... BEWARE, my dear neighbors and STAY AWAY from this place!!
06/08/21: Been shopping at 99 Ranch at this location, Carrollton, and Frisco since they l’ve been open. The store caters towards the Taiwanese/Chinese clientele, but you can get some foods from other Asian cultures like Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and Filipino. They usually have decent weekly and weekend specials, so check their website. It’s a clean and organized store. They do have a bbq, to go premade food, and dim sum available. Also located in the store is a bakery and a newly opened hot pot restaurant where What the Pho use to be.
The seafood here is kind of questionable. The snacks / instant noodle selection is quite good but not sure why soda is about 1$ more expensive than the 99 ranch in Frisco?
Great place for seafood. Only downfall is it takes 20 minutes to get a fried fish order. Then only four out of twelve checkout lines are open, the cashiers take their time so there goes another 15 minutes. Plan ahead.
I think this is better 99 Ranch Market compared to the one in Warren Pkwy Frisco. I was there the othe day. And the shelves of meats are almost empty. While here is full. Also i was looking for chicken livers, gizzard, etc. And miki and lomi noodles.and some other things, but i didnt find it there. I found it here in Plano 99 ranch.
Good products. Nice people. The bakery section is a little too expensive. Most of the items in seafood section are frozen. Live fishes and some non-frozen are also available. You can get fresh, variety vegetables and fruits here.
This is the BEST grocery store to get something fun, special, or just a little different. They have great prepared foods, a wonderful and beautiful bakery, and such a wonderful selection of goods. They have cold soft drinks and hard drinks, dishware, and FRESH seafood. Its awesome!
I wished I can give negative star. This is my second time order online. Poor package service again!! I even wrote to customer service told them to package well, due to my terrible service from fist time. I guess you guys wont care. I am very disappointed. So you guys deserved a bad reviews. Including with pictures as evidenced.
I went to the store together with my friend and watched her bought the marinated foods from the cafeteria. Later of the day she texted me saying that the foods she got were spoiled already and smell sour. She felt nausea and started vomiting with abdominal pain.I went through the reviews and found couple complaints about selling expired products and an EXACTLY complaint about the SAME food item being spoiled that sold in the cafeteria OVER A YEAR AGO. The owner’s reply to the complaint is always “I’m sorry that you have this bad experience. I will make sure to talk to the management team.” Yet you can see the same complaint show up over and over again in the reviews from different customers with different dates. It’s obvious that they don’t care about their customers, and make no effort to improve their customer service and management.Absolutely disappointed and disgusted. I used to come here all the time for groceries and sometimes for the cafeteria foods too. I thought what happened to my friend was just an one-time-incident but I found out it was not after reading the other reviews. Don’t buy from a place where spoiled foods are sold with acknowledgement. Not going to purchase any foods from here ever again, and I believe health and food department really needs to run an investigation throughly at this place.
Best grocery store around. All kinds of items chefs cant find at other stores.
A good place to buy good fruits at a reasonable price and sea food
Do not recommend, go to the one (branch) in Frisco, more option, cleaner and more variety
Terrible! They dont disinfect the shopping carts and baskets. No wipes available to disinfect. Customers use it push it around and return back to the cart line. God knows this is why COVID19 is being spread!!!!. I have to bring my own wipes to wipe the shopping carts. They are not doing a very good job of cleaning and disinfect the aisles, and shopping area. No one to clean the tables or chairs in the cafeteria area. Nobody wipes the conveyer build at the check out stand. No one even wipe the keys on the credit card terminal. This place is going to be a hive of COVID19 breeding center.CVS wipe the credit card terminal after each customer. Walmart has disinfected shopping carts laid out for their customers, when they first walk in. These company do a great job of protecting its customers. On the other hand, 99 Ranch Market is a petri dish of COVID19 bacteria incubator. Someone needs to call the health department regarding this store. I feel like I need a full oxygen equipped hazmat suit to shop at this place. If you want to get the COVID19, definitely go here.Update: 1/4/2021Just got back from 99 Ranch again. Still no disinfecting of carts. Plus no wipes. However, I did see a hand sanitizer station located at the entrance. but. ITS EMPTYYYYYY. A lot of good it is for protecting your shoppers.Second item. I bought a bunch of these pro-biotics. 4 for $2.50 what a good deal. So, I bought 8 of them. I get home, and opened one up. Then SURPRISE!!!!. its green and jellylike. I looked at the expiration date on these. They are expire since 8/17/2020!!!!!!!! My GOD! no wonder they were so cheap. Is your store just trying to make people sick on purpose???? No disinfecting carts. Selling products that are almost 5 months expired? I will be reporting to the health department for this. You willingly and knowingly selling out of date products. Not just a few days, or a few weeks. BUT ALMOST 5 months!!!!!!. See picture below. I have the products and the receipts and I will be contacting the health department for an inspection. (See Photo)
First time here in Texas in a Asian Market. We went there because of the Korean food festival, to be honest I was pretty disappointed, I was expecting so much more, it was only 2 or 3 samples so you buy the product. It was a long drive and there wasnt much to do. But I have to say the bakery was amazing, nice and savory things they had there.
This grocery store is amazing! It has everything you need and then some for you. If you ever ran out of ideas for what to cook from home just come here and be inspired! They are always so busy but they have a lot of cashiers so you will get through quick!
My go-to grocery store for all things Chinese and also fruits and veggies. I eat Fuji apples every day and the ones I get here are better than what I get at Albertsons and Target and Kroger. Also convenient place to get ready made food for either a quick lunch right there in the dining area or to take home and save me meal prepping time.
If theres a gang fight happening you know Ill be on the 99ranch side. The bakery has delicious Asian bread and the hot deli has enough good things that itll make you punch the air in delight. A large fish section for all your fish buying needs and it carries just enough things that itll serve as a great one-stop shop for most of your needs. Do I wish that Vietnamese restaurant is still there? Yes, but Ill just go to the 99ranch liquor shop that has a separate entrance outside to drink my sorrow away.
This is the best Asian market by far. It is the cleanest and the food is authentic and the prices are unbeatable. Ill always go to 99 Ranch. This is like the Target of Asian stores.
Very clean grocery store with a various of asian items for sale. Not only they are an asian grocery store, they also have a bakery and a half restaurant inside the market. I think thats great! That way you know that they focus on their products, and if you need to buy pastries, they know that those people are specialized in what they do. If you want vietnamese food and drinks, you can be assured that they are also specialized in doing so.
Like a lot, to buy fish, better deals and good ones. Veg and Meats are bit expensive. They says store closing time 9PM, but Fish cleaning section, close at 8PM. So be careful about this
I love this market for many reasons but most of all because its the closest one to my location. I like their seafood dept where they offer services like cleaning, fileting and frying the fish if you choose to. The produce dept always have a good varieties of specialty vegetables. And of course the dim sum and roast duck food court is excellent most of the time (all items are made fresh daily, so they do run out).
Its like a mini city in a mall. here you get the typical items you would get at a super market. They have a nice bakery, lots of choices, an amazing selection of almost everything you can think of, and a prices are really affordable. One should definitely check out this place and explore its offerings.
Prices are higher; interesting place to browse.
Most of the time, the line is too long, while price could be even higher than other Chinese grocery stores. Upside is that the number of choices is ok
Fresh fish, bakery and restaurant. Fruit and vegetables are marked nice.If you like ri flavor your water with mint leaves please get your fresh mint from here
Huge assortment of various Asian foods. Fresh meats, poultry and fish. Hot food deli !Just wish the hot foods stayed open a bit later.
All kinds of cool Asian stuff. Fish market is really big and entertaining for the kids.
Some items were out of stock. Checkout was fast even though there was only 2 lines. The place was decently clean.
Manager is rude. When something is on sale either going to be expired or spoiled
Love this market. Has everything Asian you will need.
Great produce and exotic fruits. Good prices and selection.
The store had a nice selection of items. Bought some sake and some adorable slippers with corgis in boba cups. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that, when I went to the mushroom section to get some enoki mushrooms, the mushrooms where short and a yellowish brown. Not the long stalks with white that they are supposed to be. It was a little off putting.
First time to see black chicken... its real. Tons of Asian food choices and the best persimmon around town... rambutan and lychee are a hit or miss. Overall good clean place with lots of choice
Good Asian market! Fresh food and grocery items.
Not lots of choices for seafood but it’s really good
Wish their fish market was a bit better.
Terrible rude manager and employee. I was waiting on the check out line. An lady employee just came over cut off in front of me. Put her stuff on the counter belt, did not say anything to me. And then ran away, fooling around, picked up stuff in the store back and forth couple of times. And then ran away again almost it was the time check out. The manager stood in front of the register. I told him, it was not right to let your employee did that way, no order and manner at all. The manager did not apologize to me and even though did not replied me in the respect and a good manner. He responded me very rudely with fingers pointing to me, said, that was okay! I said, that was not okay, You need to train your employee in a good manner and in order. Then he stopped me with his hand, ignoring me and walked away!Terrible attitude! Very rude manager and employee! Did not respect Custumer, did whatever they want to do! I request the apologies!
I can always find so many Chinese vegetables and products not found at all grocery stores. I always look forward to picking up dim sum and boba tea. They also have prepared Chinese BBQ with chicken, pork and duck.
Friendly staff and fast service. Big parking lot and clean. Outstanding market 👍
Great grocery store with a lot of unique produce. I also love the restaurants and shops inside.
One of the best Chinese supermarkets in US! Besides the full range of Chinese food, there are also restaurants inside, offering Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. The most wonderful part is it has this BF bakery that offer traditional Chinese egg yolk cake and egg tart. Would love to go there as often as possible. And there are also great Chinese restaurants in the plaza where it locates.
For Taiwanese food I can find most prepared brands. Provide verieties of grocery, utensil, pan and pot for oriental cooking, fresh produce, plant based ham, tofu, bean sprout, dill, pickcked muster green, pickled turnip, many bakery of seafood. Spices, dry goods, beans, sauces, sesame oil, seasoning packs, etc. Talk about Asian high food culture that one can find ingredients in this store if he or she wants to make a good quality Chinese or Asian food.
We go here mostly for fish, great collection and price, they do provide cut&cleaning as well for free.
Great selection of food, seafood and veggies. Also really great options for cooked food to go. This was my first visit but I’ll be back to try the different prepared foods. Prices were also very reasonable. Also a nice bakery area. I should have visited sooner!
I go ranch for live fresh fishes which are reasonable in price and last time I took white parch which was very tasty.
I enjoyed going to this place but the quality of the food is no the same 😔😔 I hope they go back to what they used to.
Always easy in and easy out! Great fresh fruits and veggies. Excellent selection of fish and seafood. And of course there are ooodles of noodles!
This place is always busy which makes sense as they offer a lot of varieties of unique and familiar grocery items. Lots of fresh seafood and baked goods.
Love it. They even will talk to you.
Love the bakery here! The shelves are very well stocked. Store is organized and clean.
My visits are primarily for the excellent choices in the seafood department. It has been difficult to obtain wild Pacific seafood here (for obvious reasons) and that is my only challenge here. Love the diversity of the stock that facilitates my experimental excursions in the kitchen. The young person in a maroon shirt at the fresh coconut stand immediately after the checkout let native language speaking persons jump the queue but let a young American girl standing dutiifully go ignored - sad. To add insult to injury this obnoxious person said there was nothing wrong with his actions and apologized to a customer who had jumped the queue. Storm-in-a-teacup one-off incident that should help management offer a teaching moment to the staff. If the young person did not wear the supervisory shirt (or the lapel name tag), I would have dismissed the encounter on the spot. The fact that the young person chose to justify his action means that a gap exists at the store between banner philosophy and staff practices
Clean store, well stocked and pleasant employees
This place has good asian groceries. I liked their fruits and proper pricing of them aswell. Variety of Noodles are available. I bought jackfruit few times and they seem to carry good quality.
Bought persimmons and Pan De Sal bread today!
Went in Friday like a little after 5PM. The lines were long. They had only 3 registers open & like +10 ppl waiting in each line. Wish they would put I more ppl at the case register during this day. Besides this, any Asian food, ingredients, fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, candy, deserts, & etc. U can find here. Literally an Asian supermarket. It also has a small food court inside. Food here, depending to ur taste, is delicious for an affordable price.Location: right off 75 got to go a bit inward after u exit to actually get to the store parking lot & the actual property its in.Hope this helps u out b4 deciding to go shopping here.
Best Asian grocery store in town if thats what youre looking for. Huge selection. And the bakery is amazing!!!! 😋I drive all the way 30 mins here & back every week just to get my groceries.
Superbly stocked and clean facility
Rude staff.. your business needs to respect the State of Texas Law. There is no Mask mandate in the State of Texas. Before you try to enforce a non existent rule. Please make sure your business is clean and up to CDC guidelines. Your staff arent wearing gloves in the meat or fish department. But you want to harass you paying customers to put on a mask lol. Lost my whole famile business. We will make the extra drice to Garland. Its funny seeing businesses like yours so worried about enforcing people wearing a mask, yet opening the door 100%
I went there to shop on 4/18/21 late afternoon 5pm and experienced rude customer service. The cashier named Michell V had the worst attitude giving me the silent treatment not acknowledging me, not saying hi back when i greeted her and asking me if i had the store card. I gave her better customer service acknowledging her as a paying customer than she does for someone who works there. She was more welcoming and acknowledging the male customer in front of me.All i have to say is if she doesn’t like asian female customers, she should consider working somewhere else that caters to her own kind. It doesn’t make any sense to be working in an asian supermarket that caters to majority asian female based customers. The store product review:I’m very satisfied with the products the plano branch carries. I was happy i found everything i needed but the customer service ruined the shopping experienced.
The Thai tea was good and had lots of varieties of baked goods in the bakery.
This place was a nice surprise. We were looking for some last minute items to make dinner on Christmas day. We were going to a nearby store and discovered this gem instead. We found what we needed and were pleasantly surprised to find items that we normally by from another Asian market, only here, the prices were lower. This will be my new go to.
Pricing is higher than Korean grocery stores. The assortment is also biased, and the fresh fish sales area has an unbearable stench.
Got to love this place! Still a good variety of products despite the whole pandemic issue. They have a bakery inside that always has fresh baked goods. They also have a small food court with a wide variety of dim sum, finger foods, and noodle dishes. Right next to it they do various rice dishes. They also have the roasted duck and the pork slab in the window that you can order parts or whole. Good place to do the shopping and get a bite to eat while youre there. Large variety of other Asian stores in the shopping area, including Diaso as well.
Great variety of Asian food. Bakery is fabulous with daily specials and fresh baked goods!
You can find almost half price super cheap sake here!
Affordable and fresh fish
Like the selection of fresh greens.
Super clean and well stocked. Love it
Found everything I need thats for a great place
Great selection for all your Asian cuisine needs!
Always busy. A little over priced.
It is good to buy Chinese food here.
I love this grocery store! If I am ever on this side of town, I try to stop by because I know theyll have something tasty. I also really appreciate the measures that they take to protect their customers and employees during this pandemic. The store is always neat and tidy, there are paper towels and disinfectant for your hands and cart right in the entryway, the employees are also under a tent instead of just behind a tiny plexiglass shield like most stores. The cashiers are also allowed to decline service to customers not wearing face masks properly. I wish the store that I worked at gave their employees that level of protection. It shows a lot about the company when they actually care about their front line workers at a time like this and provide them extra protection. The bakery section is a personal favorite of mine, and everything is now individually wrapped to prevent contamination. I havent ordered from the cafe yet, but it always smells so good. Its a great place to get everything for my stir fries and find new things to try. I stock up on frozen dumplings and buns. The food is fresh, the labels have both a date of manufacture and a best by date. There are also some very reasonably priced kitchen and housewares, and I love the Hada Labo skincare line which they also carry here. It has everything Im looking for at a reasonable price. If youre in East Plano, stop in for a treat!
Great Asian market. Good selection of frozen buns, dumplings and noodles.
One word ... Produce section ( ok maybe two words then). I like the selection of produce and fruits. The frozen food section is very extensive and allows me to get my favorite asian appetizers at home. Bakery has great rolls and the food court ?!? has good prices and good menu.
Clean and always friendly. The bread here is great too!
This store is amazing, so many options. Amazing variety!
One of my favorite supermarkets. I had lived in Taiwan for 3 years and my wife is Taiwanese and we both love that we can find items from Taiwan in America. Sometimes they have amazing sales and you can get a lot of vegetables or frozen Taiwanese delicacies for a good price.
I love this store, I wouldnt drive over 50 miles if I didnt. It is a large supermarket that caters to the Asian population that live in this part of Dallas. The bakery has a large selection of freshly baked cakes, pastries and Asian treats. The store carries many items that you cant find anywhere else. Many of these items Ive had to ask what they are.but nothing has ever disappointed me. The produce is fresh and selection is vast prices are comparable to the local supermarkets. If you are looking for ingredients to make an authentic Asian dish or are a foodie who likes to try new things this store is just visit.
This 99 Ranch wasnt properly managed, the location in Frisco and Carrollton are much better than this one.
Fishes are fresh but they dont cut it properly
Incredible selection of produce, fresh meat, & seafood. Wide range of bakery items. Good safety precautions.
Very rude cashier, especially in the bakery. I was in line and the lady was very rude to the black customer in front of me. When it comes to my turn she just grabs my bread and scanned it. When I pay she just hurrily asked me to take it out the card right away. This people needs to be polite with customer.
Woooo This 99 Supermarket puts the one in Albuquerque to shame! Theres so much variety here.
Good prize of food
