Worst customer service!! They never do what they say they are going to. They make promises they cant keep and dont follow through. Corporate isnt any better. Wish we would have bought my engagement ring somewhere else. I have a warranty on it so now we are stuck with them as they advised they wont give back any money on cancelling a warranty.
Friendly staff, quick service, and better selection than other Kay locations Ive been too. Plus it isnt inside a mall so you dont have to deal with that. Found a ring I wanted online, went in to buy and was out in less than 10min.When I bought the ring I was told we could get it resized for no charge, went back a while later and then was told I would be charged for resizing. Came back to pick it up and they placed my file in the wrong location (v instead of w) and told me Ill have to come back. Showed them the email saying it was delivered and they decided to look harder and found my jewelry. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning.Id still recommend this place though. Prices are good, service is good, and good selection.
Better experience here than at Helzberg across the street. They had exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. The sales lady was very honest and helpful. She helped navigate me through my purchase and made it so easy and i appreciated that. No high pressure tactics at all.
Terrible Service Department!! My wife took her engagement ring and wedding band in to Kay to get soldered over a MONTH AGO and came with defects TWICE. The first time the ring came back the solder was defective, so Kay sent the ring back to the service department. The second time it came back, the engagement ring was misaligned to the wedding band! So currently, it’s back at the Service Department for the third time….

Plainfield location is the worst!!! They don’t great guests. Two women are working did not acknowledge me. Although I was just in there yesterday dropping off broken jewelry. I placed my order online which is why I was back the next day. They made me wait over 15 minutes while they tended to a couple it did not take two of them to assist a couple. Will never buy anything from this location.
The ladies at this store are always so super nice! Always full of smiles laughter and helpfulness. I just love Misty and her crew they are the best. Brittany was so great as well. Like I said all of them are great I so enjoy going to this place they always know just what I need and find whatever I ask for. Thank you all. Everyone come check it out!! BEWARE THE PLAINFIELD, IN LOCATION!!Went shopping for basic wedding on a super slow day, they were very nice and took their time to measure me and my current engagement ring. Put the order in to ship to the store wonderful. Fast forward a week. Return on a Saturday, which was busy. An assistant helped me get my rings. When I tried mine on it did NOT fit!! My current ring is a 8.5 (which was ordered) but due to it being a larger mm width, she said the next size up should have been ordered. So Im a little upset I got MEASURED IN THE STORE BY THE PERSONNEL AND IT DID NOT FIT. So it was sent back in to either be cut and enlarged or swapped out, it is whatever is easiest for them at receipt. What in the heck?! YOU guys sized me incorrectly, why should I not have a new ring?! Anyway...Go to pick it up yesterday on a Saturday again. After waiting a while the same man helped me (plainfield store Mr. Hampel). Had me try it on, it fit, and he said okay have a good day. The ring was not polished, it was not in a ring box, literally just the hazy, fingerprinted ring in my hand. I said oh, okay... Because I was confused. This was for my wedding in 2 weeks. And he said oh, do you need a ring box? WHAT?!?! Of course I need a dang ring box!!!! Will NEVER ever return to the Plainfield, IN location.

Ive been shopping at Kay for years. My wife and I bought our weddings here in August of 2018. I bought her a necklace for Christmas last year. I went in today to buy another ring my wife wanted for Christmas. Every time I go in there they cant find my name in the computer. Every time! Again the same today. It took two employees to get it done. I didnt know this but they dont keep records of a persons ring size. So now ill have to get it sized after the holidays. And!!!!! They charge 19.95 to get it resized. I am so disappointed in this place.

Ive purchased two rings at this location. Both items I had resize and both times when I picked them up neither of them fit as expected. Just find a finger that they would now fit. Enough. Im taking both items to another jeweler and will pay to have them fit!!!

I just got my ring in mail yesterday and went to drop it off for sizing and the whole building closes for lunch. Not even normal lunch time... they closed 2 to 3. Not happy!

Went in with my fiance to look at rings. Two sales people were there. After less than ten minutes of looking with one person, the other comes up, and the one helping us has the audacity to say shes looking for something very specific. Which, I suppose is true, but why is that a problem? Essentially the two then shooed us away, saying look online or design your own ring. Fine.We went across the street to Helzberg, and they had absolutely no trouble helping us find a ring in store!
Not happy with them .I bought a $100ring and they did not tell me that it would be an additional 50 to size it.will not go back.
If I could give them no stars I would. This store made buying a ring more about the amount that I couldn’t spend that what my engagement was really about. They made me feel very small when I chose a little diamond. My fiancé and I sent out a band to have a diamond put on it and when we came to pick it up, they hadn’t put the diamond on it. The man in the store didn’t even notice, we had to inform him. The man at the store did not seem very remorseful if their mistake. This changed all of our plans to get photos done and was a huge inconvenience. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Save yourself the heartache and go to any other store.

My wife purchased a ring for me for Fathers day. She explained that She wanted my kids names engraved in the ring. She told them that I work with my hands. Salesperson said it would be no problem. It looked great but wears terrible. This will be the third time back in to be fixed. The last time the salesman told me I should get a silicone ring,. My wife bought this ring for me to wear not to look at.That comment really bothers along with the fact that the store in Plainfield has a sign on the front denying my 2nd amendment rights.
Old man flat out tried to steal from me through deception. Watch out or better yet go somewhere else! When exchanging a diamond bracelet that retailed for $800 old man wanted to exchange it for $400.
This Location is awesome, and was the place i chose to purchase my wifes engagement ring. When i purchased the ring i opened a line of credit with them in order to get it in my possession faster, and have been paying them back, but upon paying the balance off on the account i discovered that they had sold my credit account to another company. This as a consumer made me quite upset because without my consent my SS number, my billing information, and my bank information was transferred to a new company, and i was never even told about the change. With this change i am now trying to get information for my broker, and due to the inability of Kay Jewelers to get any information for me i am stuck talking to this third party company about getting a statement saying my remaining balance has been absolved. Due to the lack of communication, hours and hours of pointlessly being on hold, and STILL not having the necessary information i personally will never shop at another Kays Jewelers location, and advise the same to anyone else looking for a company to spend money with for their jewelry needs. Unless you are able to pay cash up front it is simply not worth the hassle when there are so many other companies with better communication, and better customer service. As soon as i get my statement i will never step foot into another Kay Jewelers location again. For those of you currently dealing with this catastrophe you have my condolences on behalf of your sanity being effectively, and completely disposed of.
