My boyfriend and I were in town for an event that got rained out. We weren’t hungry but we love to eat. We found this little place and were in love (upset we didn’t have one). Staff is so nice. The town is identical to my home town and Plainfield is his hometown name so we thought it was funny. Definitely would sit outside on nice weather. Such a cute date night spot. We got the white and red flight and the chef cheese board. It’s quiet too which is a bonus for us as my boyfriend is deaf with hearing aids to help hear. It was amazing and literally perfect for us. I loved the little couch spots. Makes it feel so homey.

A excellent wine and food menu! Love the wine garden and live music! Friendly staff and even a fresh oyster brunch beginning of each month!

I can’t write enough good words about this place. This was my second time here and our server was amazing. She was so accommodating with our niece, and honestly the best waitress i’ve ever had. she was so friendly, and even brought out a new loaf of bread when i dropped half of ours on the floor. on top of our amazing experience, the atmosphere of this place was so welcoming.

What an awesome little place to get a glass or two of wine. It was packed on a Friday night. But was able to squeeze in a spot near the bar. Staff was great and the performer singing was awesome. Had anice variety of wines that you cant get at Binnies.

This was our first time visiting this place and experiencedvery nor evening with good food wine and blues. We will be back

My husband and I live in Las Vegas and are out here visiting family. We loved the downtown Plainfield area and decided to check this place out. We got the red and white wine flights, which were both great, as well as a cheese and charcuterie board. It was delicious and great for 2 people. Staff was friendly and service was great. We will definitely be back!

I live around the corner, was excited to go out with my 2 bff’s called in the afternoon made an outdoor reservation, when we arrived we seemed to bothering the staff all sitting at a table in the back, finally they said oh well we don’t have propane for the heaters, to which we said can we sit at a table (not a single other customer in the place), sometime later they said sure you can sit inside, to which we said it’s okay we will just get a couple of bottles and food to go.....we spent enough and absolutely still tipped but they (manger and cook....hostess was sweet) still acted like we were putting them out. Trying hard to stay local and shop small in town but with experiences like this Wine and Cheese is off the list for sure.

We have lived in Plainfield for almost a year (moved in right before everything changed due to COVID) and had been meaning to make it to the Wine and Cheese Company. We are so mad at ourselves for not going in sooner!! The wine and cheese selection were excellent. The staff were friend and helpful and very obviously love what they do. We got a bottle of wine and cheese plate for two and were pleased not only with the flavor and pairings, but also found the price to be very reasonable for the quality and care provided. We will be back!

Love the outdoor dining experience. The tables were totally distanced and everyone inside was wearing a mask. We ate outside and Connie was a great hostess. The food was really good and the wine selection was great. The per glass wine price was a little high but we still enjoyed the whole experience.

The cheese combinations could of been better. You definitely gotta know what you want, and your cheese preference before ordering. Didnt care for the honey that came with the bread. So I ordered olive oil instead. But nice atmosphere and wine specials.

We ordered the smoked cheese and charcuterie board. It has 3 cheeses, olives, some cranberries, 2 meats, olives and some bread. The olives had pits and were very salty, hard to eat. The cheeses were okay. The portions were small and kinda disappointed that I paid $32 for a small board and I was still hungry after. The service took too long. Waited a while to get our order taken and the waitresses were confused who was taking care of us. There was live music which was nice. Overall it was okay, but the prices for that average tasting and small board was disappointing.

My wife and I have been here several times over the years and its one of our favorite places to eat and drink in downtown Plainfield. Great section of wines, beers, cheese and meats. Its a very chill atmosphere with a great staff, too.

Great wine, food and service. Kasey is a great host and very knowledgeable about her products. You must try their food, the menu is limited but everything is fantastic! Wine selection is great. Dont be afraid to ask for recommendations !

⭐⭐⭐Employees are so knowledgeable and helpful! I know absolutely nothing about wine except that I want to drink it! 🍷 Everytime I go in there I have some random wine question that the staff always helps me with! (Does this cause heartburn? Im looking for sweet but not too sweet? Recommend a wine perfect for a Realtors open house? Ect) The staff is super patient and everytime recommends something that is exactly what Im looking for. Great experience everytime!!!!!

It took a half hour for only a cheese plate. When we asked about it we were questioned as to why we were asking. The waitresses exact words were what do you mean it hasnt been that long? Miss its been 30 minutes and multiple tables who came in after us have received their plates. Then she proceeds to tell is oh no theyve been here you just couldnt see them because theyve moved tables and werent previously by the windows. I wonder if she forgot that we started on the patio then moved inside because of the heat. As a customer or at all really, I dont appreciate being lied to. Also, there was no sparkle to the sparkling wine flight. Only one of the three was bubbly. I really wanted to love this place. Two stars because of the cheese quality. It is good.

Very cool place to sit outside for brunch or cheese and charcuterie. Its one of the very few places you can get Jamon Iberico, as well as other higher-end meats and cheeses. The service is always friendly and the rotating beer and wine selections are nice.

I do like that they have free mini tastings every week. However, the prices are outrageous. Hubby and I had a bottle of wine and a small charcuterie, and after tip was almost $100 ( and we were still hungry). The price for cheese by the pound is also extremely steep.Cute place though to sit and relax out of the elements or on the patio. They do continue to expand their menu. So, thats nice if money is no object.

What an awesome place! We spent a few hours here on a rainy Saturday evening, enjoying different wine flights, cheese plates, etc. The staff was great and the atmosphere was cozy. Food was yummy!

The restaurant is very nice and service was excellent. The charcuterie board wasn’t good at all. Small, barely any meat and it wasn’t good meat, fig jam wasn’t quality, olives had pits in them, sesame seed long crackers & nothing to do with them with cubed cheese. Bread was good, nothing to dip it in. My friend and I didn’t understand it. And at $32 a board we’ll not go back. Also, our table was wobbly. Very disappointed.

Its a really nice place with really good food and great wine. Just started going here for wine tastings and have bought a bottle each time.My biggest complaint (coming from a person who doesnt go to many wine places) is the 33% charge for decorking fee. 1) It was a twist off bottle, and 2) isnt this was the tip is for? I still gave the place 4 stars because the service, food, and drinks are great. However, this expensive fee will deter me from ever staying at this place to enjoy food with my wine. Therefore, Ill probably never be served food here again. Such a shame. We really enjoyed everything, but a $10 charge just because isnt worth it for me.

The staff is very nice. Its a great place to sit and have a relaxing conversation with someone. If youre not a wine person they have some nice craft beers as well. Very relaxing atmosphere.

We’ve yet to find a house selection we don’t like. Great beer list too for those dining with a mixed group of tastes. Try the desert bread! We routinely skip dessert at restaurants so we can come here for it. Super cute inside and great patio (dog friendly!) Only knock is that they need to invest in more umbrellas in the summer. Another great addition to downtown Plainfield.

I love coming to Wine & cheese. The absolute best quality food. I find myself there for lunch a lot since my business is right across the street! Anna and her staff always treat me well, and Jason, the chef just makes the most amazing things in his tiny kitchen. Try the 3 course meal on Thursday, Friday & Saturdays!

This restaurant is a great place for wine and cheese (surprise, surprise). The menu is great, I love the ghost pepper cheddar as an addition to a cheese plate. The wine selection is extensive as well. The staff is friendly and ready to recommend. The desserts are great, my favorite is the chocolate mousse cups.

Great place for wine and appetizers. Weve been here several times and weve always been impressed with the wine selection, great food and friendly atmosphere. They regularly do wine tastings, so you can try a few different wines with different food pairings. But you can also order a wine flight to try a few different bottles (and purchase full bottles to take home, if you like the wine). Their charcuterie and cheese plates are amazing and their homemade hummus is my favorite.

Everyone was so friendly and the food was so good. The wine was so deliciously refreshing. My friend and I went there to celebrate our 49th Friendiversary which was absolutely perfect! We are hoping for a beach vacation next year. LOL

Places like this are underrated as date spots. Take her out for wine (dont pretend to know whats what, just go with it) and cheeses (which are delicious so refrain from shoveling them in your mouth) and shell be all over you.

Soup was Luke warm and flatbread was not what I ordered. I ordered one with chicken and pesto and it came out with no chicken but slim slices of salami. They did comp the flatbread so that was a plus but overall I wasnt impressed

Fun activity with a unique selection of wine and cheese. I want a fan of the boujee pickles that came with the sandwich. Maybe im a heathen. The bltcc was very sweet but tasty. Ill be back.

Im a lover of wine and cheese. However, the wine tasting isnt stellar, I guess I expected more based on regular wine tastings I go to. I also think its over priced as much places are in Plainfield. Id rather go to Coopers Hawk, wine tasting there is great, food is stellar, and its reasonably priced.

First time visit today. Ordered a charcuterie tray and my daughter had a glass of wine. Really thought the charcuterie board was way overpriced for the amount we got. 5 slices of Italian salami (about the size of a quarter), about 8 small cubes of 3 cheeses, a few crackers, smallest olives I’ve seen and bread. $26.00 for the tray. The glass of wine was average at best. $11.00 for the glass.I don’t mind paying for good food, but I feel the prices are way out of line for what you get. They won’t be seeing me again.

The first time I attempted to come here iut was a terrible experience. They kept giving tables to customers who arrived after us, we eventually left after they consistently overlooked our party. They didnt xare when we brought it to their attention I didnt think Id give them another try but I went with my husband the other day and it was a much better experience, good apps and wine!
