Wouldnt recommend this u-haul company to my worst enemy. After 37 years of a family owed bussiness we were forced to shut down Our small Printing Bussiness. Not only did the Pandemic take our bussiness but took our beloved uncle Warren Futomoto. WHEN RENTING THE VAN I ASKED IF I COULD KEEP THE VAN LONGER DUE TO THE SITUATION AND NOT KNOWING EXCATLY WOULD BE TAKING PLACE THE UHAUL COMPANY IN PLACTICENTIA Employee STATED Yes I could that to just let them know I have been in contact with the store through email and phone aswell I been charged for extra days that I have kept the van. I Just woke up the day of my great uncle funeral read my email and saw the the u-haul is threightenibg me stating that I must return the van by 7am today or the van will be repored to the police. NOW I THOUGHT WOW REALLY ...NOW TO DEAL WITH THIS ..OUR BUSSINESS CLOSING MY UNCLE PASSING AND Still they have no HEART THIS store has no soul ..or care for human kind ...THEY LIED ......THE EMAIL WAS FROMSheria MathisI would give her a a NEGiTIVE 6 STAR In Customer Service SHE HAS NO HEART Not knowing or evening asking whats going on .. having no care in the world. ....so nowim here having to look forward to possibly dealing with the law. ......All I can say is this company better have good insurance cause Im not going to let them steP all over me. Im here after seeing a Inside Edition video on the U-Haul company, in the video in shows that U-Haul doesnt actually clean their vehicles (the video is about Covid-19). I hope this place does.

U-Haul provides Self-Storage!Professional friendly staff. They can professionally advise on what type of hauling or towing equipment is needed. This saves customers money and is safer. The staff we encountered were professional and friendly and also know what they are talking about regarding towing and hauling.Have rented from other hauling places and in our opinion U-Haul is a much better choice, and specifically the Placentia location.

Quick service Im in and out in a flash. I love this place.

I had a hitch installed on 5/29/2020. It rattled vibrated. It was improperly installed and the workmanship was embarrassing.

Awful service. Waited over 2 and half hours for someone to get in contact with me after I requested assistance for a flat tire. Have to wait for another hour to hour and half for the workers to come change the flat tire. I will never use UHAUL again. I am hours behind schedule now.

Excellent service. I always rent my trucks and trailers here because they have the best selection and prices. Keep in mind that the last weekend of the month is packed, so get there early on the weekend.

I had a pleasant experience and would definitely use them again, I booked online, when I arrived at my appointed time everything was in the system, signed and drove off. Besides the quick check of the gas level, mileage, and for damage.When I returned there was nobody at the return area, everyone went inside to check in. Couldve been a little more organized there, but otherwise it was great. Charges were almost exactly what I expected, based on my mileage estimate.

Im surprised they had so many trucks and trailers to choose from. Being California I thought more people are taking trucks out of state. Theyre working with what theyve got to an acceptable amount. Minus one star just because I dont like uhauls equipment. Wish they had diesel powered trucks with higher decks to improve packing efficiency. Wheel wells and fuel filler neck cut into cargo area. Gas powered trucks guzzle fuel like crazy. And cruise control would be great.

I am so big on quality service and even though I didnt get the answer I wanted to hear in the beginning. I was happy with the solution in the end. I was transferred twice but the 2nd person who was just absolutely amazing, professional, and went the extra mile to make the calls and find out who had the part I needed and could install a tow hitch for me before this Friday (1/24). GERARD, you are my HERO right now! Thanks for calling other locations and just making it more convenient for me. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the quality service and the time you took to help me. I hope your management sees and reads this because its important for them to know that its people like you that keep customers coming back!

These guys are awesome. Always willing to help and answer questions. They also refill propane tanks here.

Terrible people running that place

The worst wait I have ever experienced. I had to wait for almost an hour to buy a few boxes. Thats one hour I dont have when moving. Only one guy at the desk to help out people averaging 20-30 minutes per customer. Never come here if you can help it

Weak. Had a mixup happen at a nearby uhaul location and had the rep call this location letting them know Id race down the road and be there 3-4mins after the posted closing time. Literally ran a few hard-yellows and pulled in the lot 2mins and 40seconds after the closing hour. Darkness. Some customer service...

Only missing the 5th star because I noticed how the U Haul workers ride the U Haul trucks and it was not at all OK. They go full speed on the bumps. Other then that the customer service inside is GREAT!

If I could give 0 stars I would.I had a reservation for 7 am Saturday. I was sent text messages the night before confirming my reservation at 2 other different locations. In the morning, both locations were closed and no trucks in sight. I drove back to my original location (U-Haul of Placentia) to be met by a line of maybe 50 people who mostly had the same issue as I did - what happened to our reservations? After about 45 mins of waiting in a line that was barely moving, and learning that there were people in front of us getting trucks without reservations, we left and drove around to other locations until finally a place in Brea (contracted with U-Haul) helped us out because they felt bad for us. I tried calling this location several times to speak with someone to complain, and either got disconnected, sat on the phone with no answer, and when I finally did get someone to answer, I got hung up on. I called U-Haul customer service directly a couple of times, to only be told things happen........well I wonder if this happened to any of them, would they have that same attitude? I had a reservation at 7, didnt get a truck until after 10, and had myself and 5 people I hired lose valuable time, and for me, extra money lost having to pay this crew for their time. And U-Haul could care less. I know myself and those 5 people will never use U-Haul again - especially this location. Ive left messages through customer service for a manager to call me back from this location - and you guessed it, no call back. What a joke.
