All the staff is very helpful and pleasant to deal with how ever the manager always has an attitude never pleasant to deal with had to switch storages so I do get in an altercation with her

Sherry and Tony were both LIFESAVERS on one of the most stressful days of my life. Despite a huge end of the month rush that landed me without a truck from another company on the day of my move, Sherry expertly arranged my rental so that I could have a truck for as long as she possibly could, and Tony helped us check in and out our truck in record time and with total calm. I really dont know how I would have made that move happen without them.

Extremely helpful staff. I ordered moving equipment from uHaul.com and came to this location to pick up my order by mistake. The woman at the desk kindly cancelled my order at the other location and quickly organized my order at this location. I was in and out in under 5 minutes — much less time than it would’ve taken me to drive to the original location!

I had a great experience at this location. Sheri was very accommodating. We had a big move from Pittsburgh to West Virginia and she helped us with everything we needed from the truck size, moving equipment and drop off location. I would highly recommend using.

The GM at this storage facility has absolutely ZERO customer service skills (Sherri)! Every delivery driver that brings supplies to my storage unit ask me what is wrong with her as she is so rude to them. In addition, she parks her handicap car on the customer loading dock daily, to keep it from the elements and cool from the sun. This limits access to be able to unload and load stuff into your unit. Youll end up running it down from the street You are better off going and spending your money at Guardian storage, customer service is so much better and rates are a bit cheaper.

This U-Haul facility moved my pick-up time from 10 AM to 2:30 PM without any notification. I found that out after reaching the location (talk about being irresponsible). Here I was met with a rude, condescending, disrespectful, and irresponsible general manager by the name of Sheri Robbins. She said Take it or leave it when I asked her that how she can do that (I even have an email that confirms my booking for 10 AM). She even made fun of me behind my back when I was leaving. When I went back to confront her about this disrespectful act, she cancelled my 2:30 PM appointment and when asked how can she just do that, said My name is on the door, I can do it. Sad to see someone like her being allowed to go unchecked in such a reputed organization. Then I had to call Uhaul again and booked another location as my plans were getting delayed. I used to love U-Haul, now my business will be going somewhere else.

Thank you Sherri for being kind, patient, and very helpful to my brother(from North Carolina) and I. She took her time to show me around and explain everything to me.It have been very hard over the holidays. I went in and spoke and Sherri and her employees was smiling and welcome me. This place is clean, and very secured. I will tell family, friends and others about the great U-Haul storages. My U-Haul was very cleaned, great heat inside. Also, I love the loading dock so you can go straight to your unit. Again, thank you Sherri and her wonderful employees for everything.

I accidentally went to the wrong Uhaul location and the woman at the desk was so rude and unprofessional when she was helping me. As I left and before I was even out of earshot, I heard her mocking me and making fun of my name to her coworker. I will not be back.

The truck was very good but staff who worked in the office when I rented was very rude and was not customer friendly. I asked the receipt of my rental but she said it will be sent to my email. But I was waiting for it and had to give a call. Finally after 15 days I got it. Don’t prefer the same location again.

Rented a truck 12/27. No problem with the rental - Sheri was a bit gruff at first (but she does deal with the public!), but was very knowledgable and efficient. Always get the insurance - your car insurance doesnt cover it. Be aware that fees and mileage and insurance will bring that $19.95 truck to $100.00 real quick. Dont forget to figure in fuel - they drink it. Good experience overall - I would use them again.

Would give 0 stars if possible. Look elsewhere if you are planning on using a car carrier. Also look elsewhere if you are looking for any semblance of customer service.

The woman (Sherri I believe) at the rental office was extremely rude to my dad and I. We ended up leaving without renting a truck because of her hostility. She also had her mask pulled down as she was talking to us.

This U-Haul is AMAZING, especially the GM Sheri!!! So we originally reserved a truck with Budget but when we went to pick up the truck, they said they didnt have it (they didnt even give us a heads up, they waited til we got there). They were no help AT ALL, so we ended up cancelling with them. We went to U-Haul and Sheri was our saving grace. She was SO accommodating and really helped make our smooth and successful. Would I recommend this U-Haul? YESSSS, got to U-Haul for your moving needs, truck and storage!

The manager at this location (Sheri) was rude and impolite. She was eating her lunch with her mask down touching personal belongings (drivers license) while interacting. Seemed to be inconveniencing her while going through a simple customer transaction. Will not be renting from this location again.

Holy cats. Moving sucks. But Sheri Robbins moved the stars and moon to help us get the truck and tow we needed on the date we needed. The whole staff at U-Haul Oakland seem amazing (aka helpful, professional, knowledgeable, FUNNY, courteous) and made a hyper stressful experience so much better. Sheri even provided us with the contact info for freelance moving help and that person was also awesome. Best U-Haul team ever and weve seen a lot of U-Hauls.

I’m a college student who was helping my roommate get her stuff out of storage to take back to our apartment for the semester. My roommate had lost her key so the padlock on her storage unit needed to be drilled off, no big deal, she was understanding and willing to pay the fee to have that done. The woman who seemed to in charge, I believe her name is Sherry, then disappeared for an entire hour, without explanation, and then upon her reappearance she told us that she would not be drilling the lock that day and was going to go home. She was unnecessarily rude and very unpleasant to talk to as she continued to talk down and yell at my roommates and I. We were of course upset that our roommate wouldn’t be able to get her stuff especially after we were under the impression that the lock was going to be drilled that day and then we were left waiting an hour and then informed that we had been wasting our time sitting there. But we were still trying to be kind and apologetic, it seemed like maybe Sherry had had a rough day.After returning home we called U-Hauls 1-800 number to inform them of the situation and they offered to compensate my roommate by allowing her lock to be cut off for free. The next morning when we went back to the storage facility, Sherry told my roommate that she would not drill the lock open!! It seemed to be out of pure spite of the previous days events. We then informed her that we had gotten in contact with U-Hauls customer service and had gotten compensation to have the lock drilled for free. She still did not open the storage container until my roommate threatened to call the 1-800 customer service number back!! Even after that and during the process this woman was still very rude.Worst customer experience any of us have ever encountered!!! it was so ridiculous, avoid this place if you can

Lots of vehicles, small inside store space but still had boxes and everything I needed.

*Edit* Avoid this location at all cost!! I originally gave this location two stars because the general manager is rude every time I’m here. I went back on 6/23 To purchase boxes and was met by a colored lady who was yelling at me and another customer. This poor guy was just trying to return a trailer and she was yelling and complaining that she doesn’t have room for a trailer and she doesn’t like trailers, As if it was our fault! I’ve rented U-Haul’s from this location on three different occasions. The general manager “sheri” is always rude. The worst part is I don’t think she knows she’s being rude to people. I’d recommend just renting from a different U-Haul location.

I went to pick up an order of boxes and the woman who was in charge at the front desk was very unwelcoming. I was by myself and had to carry this pack of large boxes to my car. She kind of dumped them at my feet and said “have a good day” and walked back to her desk. I stood there in shock that I was not going to get any help. So I went back and asked if there was a cart she then rudely says “by the front door” so I had to retrieve the cart by myself, put the bundle of boxes on my cart and load the in my backseat. It was the worst customer service I have ever encountered.

Great location for storage

Great facility with very friendly, helpful, and courteous staff. They have the lowest rates within the Pittsburgh area and their facilities are the best, very clean and climate controlled, even for the smallest units. When I changed my mind about storing my furniture Kevin had no problem providing me with a full refund. He even helped me move it from the storage unit. You cant go wrong with this place.

This is one of U hauls self-storage facilities that also rents trucks/vans.i just needed moving supplies and Its not very user friendly, The entrance is a loading dock /equipment return bay with sliding glass doors and is actually on Blessing Street. If someone happens to be returning a truck or using that loading dock you can forget about seeing the entrance. Then you have to walk down a hallway lined with storage lockers until you get to a small room known as the office where you will find the essentials for moving. Street parking only . Residential neighborhood. Steep grade

The general manager they have now is so much better than the last one. The last one would try to make you feel bad about not putting their business before your personal situation. He would make comments that were inappropriate and hurtful. But the manager Calvin that they have now is really sweet and very understanding. He actually tries to work with you if youre having hardships instead of ridicule you like youre in high school.

I am really angry for her cheating and bad attitude. I reserved a truck from 10am to 2pm, but the system in their office shows my reservation is from 9:30 to 1:30. I logged in uhaul website and show her the reservation, she refused to communicate and keep saying that my reservation started from 9:30. And she told me if I cant come back before 1:30 then she cannot rent me the truck because there is someone else renting the car at 1:30. its obvious that she want to rent more so changed my reservation. She should at least call me before instead of telling me that when I arrived at around 10. I feel like she treat me like a fool.

I had a great experience with Iron City Self Storage. Very friendly and helpful managers who go the extra mile when you need it. This is something rarely seen when renting/maintaining a storage unit from a company. Very clean and affordable as well.

Ryan McGough was so awesome with setting me up with a unit. He gave me great customer service and I am a first time buyer so he made this experience very easy and exciting. Thank you very much and I plan on being with you guys for a while.

I was not able to sign in to the uhaul app during the truck drop off at the store and I had informed the uhaul customer service rep the same night and was told that I wouldn’t be charged the extra 20$ Service fees but I was charged the extra fees in the morning and they were not willing to refund it and the female at the store spoke very rudely when I told her my situation. I would not recommend uhaul to anyone. @uhaul Please improve your service.

I used Iron City for four years and each summer Ive had great service. The units are spacious and clean, with a wide variety of sizes to choose. I could get my things anytime I needed, plus there were lots of carts to move things around. Payments and scheduling is flexible. This is popular for Pitt and CMU students because its right outside Oakland. Sign up and reserves spaces early!

I am big on reviews and sad to see all the negative comments. I initially purchased a unit during the busiest moving time of the year (July) with Iron City Storage (now U-Haul). Ive had my storage unit going on seven months now, and never once had an issue. U-Haul of Iron City is conveniently located and I found the staff (especially Kevin) to be very helpful.

The staff at this business is extremely friendly and professional. We had a really stressful month with moving and the staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. They worked with me to facilitate our move into the storage unit. The storage units are very clean and conveniently located. Its extremely hard to find businesses such as this one nowadays. Stopped in to purchase boxes and moving supplies today for an upcoming move. Guy behind the desk was extremely rude. I was nothing but pleasant. I asked a question, he vaguely gestered in the general direction of a sign that was behind me (and also blocked by a display which is why I didn’t see it). No words. Just pointed. When he checked me out, i said thank you, and got nothing in return. He was equally rude and non helpful to another customer.

Hard to find & parking is tight. The vehicles are brand new & in good shape. The people working were intetesting.

Booked a reservation for a trailer. Called to book the trailer inspection. Scheduled everything. Called to change reservation and different associate informed me that they do not have trailers there, nor do they do trailer inspections. So their associates will lie to you and book you for something they cannot do.

This is not a UHAUL place. Its a storage place that happens to lend out uhauls but they only have like 3 available. The man who works here is very kind and did what he could to find me a uhaul dealer that had the kind of uhaul I needed. I would definitely come here for storage if I needed that!

Extremely Frustrating on line reservation system. The reservation confirmed our reservation at this location but actually had the truck at a location 25 minutes away. Also the online check in does not work unless you have a drivers license in the state you are picking up. Ridiculous! Unless you call the location and talk to a person DO NOT USE U-HAUL!!!!
