Getting rental unit on line was the easiest experience I have had. It was simple, easy to follow, and quick. Also I received a phone call shortly after finishing welcoming me and asking if I had any questions. A great experience!

The space is very clean and was renovated recently so everything feels new. The staff has been very kind and helpful every time I’ve needed anything, and I see them walking the grounds regularly. The manager Nathalie has gone out her way to help me a few times now. Definitely a good choice for climate controlled storage with easy access.

I reserved a unit with Extra Space before moving to Pittsburgh. Online leasing was quick and simple. Nathalie was very responsive and excellent to work with. Upon arrival, I realized I would no longer need the unit, and my payment was reversed. Overall great experience.

Simple to move in and simple to move out when storage was no longer needed. The parking is a bit tight but the price, location and staff more than made up for it.Edit to remove 1 star from previously 5 star review since their policy is to not prorate partial months upon move out. Worth considering if youre only storing for a short time.Second edit - just a note that I left this review when it was CubeSmart. I did not store here when it was Extra Space Storage.

All the services are excellent, the elevators are what you need, the carts are perfect size for so much stuff in one trip. The process was easy to complete my lease online. However when I arrived to unload the moving truck I was informed that the Loading dock was out of service. I even talked to the Manager the day before about the process of the lease but it was never mentioned that the dock was out of service. There’s no number direction on the floor for the storage units to make easy to find the unit. The unit was provided with a lock and key which I appreciate and the cost of the unit is affordable & even below my budget. The building overall is in great condition and clean. Although with the minor issues I still had a good experience with this company.

Convenient, affordable, accessible and then manager Beth was awesome!! I give her ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ just for being as great as she was!!And let me add why Beth was phenomenal!Everything about how she handled our questions or concerns, the way she explained, her level of courtesy, and conversation beyond just the business. Meaning she engaged my sister and me in interpersonal dialogue which meant I wasnt just another dollar in the company wallet.And I must add, she did not know why I was getting the space. My mother had recently died and I was storing some of her things as I prepared to leave Pittsburgh after her cremation. Beth did not know this which made her being connected to the interaction that much more valued. She wasnt, as I said, just about business. She was not an automaton typing info into the computer. She was a person and treated me like a person as well!!

I have a unit here. My leg is injured. When I arrived to unload boxes I found 0, as in zero carts to transport the boxes to my unit. After using Guardian Storage for 2 years I assumed that a storage facility has carts. Apparently not in this place.This place was not enforcing any mask policy whatsoever and the manager at this place wasnt wearing his mask either.As a storage place theres literally nothing to do except for1. Make sure you have carts.2. Make sure your clients feels safe.You guys failed on both accounts today.

Some of the units on the first floor looked fine, but mine was absolutely filthy. The floor was covered from dirt/dust from recent construction, and all my items got dirty, including my mattress. If I hadnt had such a short timeline for moving, I absolutely would have gone somewhere else after seeing it.

First I went to Guardian storage they were charging more than $100 /month but I got bigger storage at half price on cubesmart.Also this cube smart facility is better build & clean than guardian shadyside facility.

Great storage facility, conveniently located. I needed storage space in a hurry, and the manager Beth made everything easy and was very thorough in her walkthrough. She is a real gem!The intercom system does not work however, and that is a safety hazard for someone on that very isolated street who is attempting to call for help. I understand that it might be out of order but then a sign should be posted to that effect.Cubesmart almost lost my business because of this poor signage. I followed the instructions to use the intercom and nobody answered me at either of two entrances for ten minutes; I almost left and went to Extra Space Storage down the street in Wilkinsburg. I would have, except by coincidence, another patron let me know of the only entrance that was accessible. Found out yesterday that the control panels to the bay doors are gone. Surprise! If there was an email, text four letter about it I missed it. Other than that keep smart as fine. Reasonable prices, well lit, clean in the office workers are nice.

Andy, the store manager on site, was very kind, assertive and welcoming. He greeted me with a handshake and consistently asked if everything he was explaining was clear and understood. He walked me through every step of the way with professionalism and care. He made move-in day a seamless process! I would recommend this branch 10/10!

Before you go, know the following: (1) you should have your renters/homeowners insurance policy declaration page handy, or theyll make you purchase an insurance policy; (2) bring your own discus padlock or you will have to purchase one there. Other than those additional unanticipated expenses, it has been a good experience so far.

A few hidden fees that we didnt know about. You NEED a disk lock as no other lock will suffice. Otherwise, pretty cheap and easy. Very friendly workers.

Debi was absolutely wonderful in helping me procure my first storage unit. I was under duress and exhausted, but her kindness and understanding really made the whole process much more enjoyable than I thought possible.I purposely go out of my way to stop in whenever I know shell be there, even if its for just a quick hello!

Customer service was excellent: Debbi Harris is real gem and the highlight of my experience so far. (Somebody give this woman a raise!) She was knowledgeable about options and the leasing process, accommodating, and overall a pleasure to do business with. I especially appreciated how she went and checked everything with me to make sure I was able to access all of the necessary entry points and answer all of my questions.The facility itself is clean and well maintained despite being partially under construction. The only issue I would note is in the loading bay... the access was simple enough, but the bay is fairly small. A 10ft uhaul just barely cleared the doors, anything bigger would not work.

I hate moving and this storage facility gave me the best customer service I could ever ask for! I highly recommend them. Their rates were more than affordable and they made sure I understood everything. I was allowed to see multiple units to make sure I would have enough space for my belongings. Perfect place to go to to store your things during a move. Everyone was so nice from the general manager to the new employees that were being trained the day I came in. They gave me the best rate (their online rates are amazing). 10 stars for sure!

I am so happy we used Cube Smart this time instead of Guardian. The representative (Andy) was enthusiastically helpful and provided great customer service. They space was clean and a better alternative to the pallet storage used at Guardian. Much more space and more private. As well, you have the ability to visit and manipulate your stuff easily with private access. AND much cheaper than the pallet for which the price has almost doubled since last year. Great experience.

This a decent, climate controlled facility. Pricing is competetive. I Dont like that there is chicken wire ceiling to the upper storage units. I dont know of this is standard to all facilities. Safety wise, the bay doors stay open too long. Even if you watch them. Close, the next person could not watching close and allow an intruder to hide in there, especially after hours.

Ive been storing stuff here for a couple years because I work at spaces Bakery Square and theyre just the nicest people. I suggest using them. Its safe and clean an easy-to-use.

Andy, the manager, could not be more helpful, including when he noted our proof of insurance was from Armed Forces Insurance, he mentioned the 10% discount for members of the armed services. The storage facility is new (they are just putting on finishing touches), clean, climate controlled (really, not like some that say they are, but are not) and easy to access. The neighborhood is transitional, next to the Google operating center and near the major Pittsburgh universities, but it is a former Salvation Army warehouse. Remember to bring your own lock since the price of theirs is steep.

The manager, Debi, was very helpful with helping me pick out the correct size unit I needed and even made sure the unit I picked was clean. Very good service.

Andy was so helpful and personal with my rental needs and addressing my concerns. Every time I visit, he greets me by name with feels so great. The storage is convenient in and out. I like also the history of a Pittsburgh building in this storage place.

Facilities arent modern but the service was excellent. Diana was super helpful and the cart lift from the loading dock was great. Overall it met our needs.

Great location, very convenient to both my residents and co-workering space. Other than that, its not about the renters or anything else but what you see. I have lost a lot from the basement unit and moved up to a third floor unit . Had to labor consistently to get it satisfactory. Further, accessories were installed for further accommodation. I had to seal the top of this unit to prevent the very few belongings I had stored from getting ruiruined by construction metal dust. As I worked to take advantage of the internal organizer, upper level management came through with questions like my lock on improperly, and color of external wall, and 12 bottles of vitamins I had out in the lower shelving. First of all, the painter contractors told me it was them who painted the outer portion the color it was and that another coat had to be applied. Yes, I had to paint my unit and clean the floor. I put carpet squares down to further protect the contents in the the unit. And yes, for sometime I had a power cord that I used to run a fan because everyone was cold I guess on the floor. But then they had to all of a sudden make a big deal with threats toward me regarding that matter. Wrong move. Lets pray they follow through. I have documented my ongoing experience with this place and curious to see how much loss will occur before engagement by management will take place and customers come first rather than last.

Last Spring, I didnt want to transport all of my daughters belongings back home if she was just coming back in the fall. I found this location was close to her school, so I gave them a chance. Friendly staff, well lit and clean. We will be returning in May 2019.

The 2 indoor parking spaces for unloading are always available. Clean and convenient, and people at the office are friendly and helpful.
