They arrived within the 2hr window. All 3 crew members where polite and curtuios to not only myself but to my kids as well. They worked non stop through the heat and humidity of the day. They dealt in an extremely professional manner with the fact that my house in not perfectly squared. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for new windows. On top of all of that the windows look great and the picture window they placed in is beautiful.

The installers were awesome, very professional, cleaned up after themselves. Sales team could of been more involved with customers, to keep me posted on if the windows were being produced yet. But in general process was great.

The whole process was easy, fast, and well worth it. They set up my appointment with sales immediately. Once I made the decision to buy they came out got measurements and started making my windows. Once the windows were finished they were installed immediately. The crew was timely and efficient. Ten windows installed within three and a half hours and everything was cleaned up as if no one was ever there. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs new windows. High quality windows too!

The windows seem pretty decent as far as I can tell so far. The installation was very quick. The crew that installed my windows was ok but they never even bothered to introduce themselves when they came to my door or actually didnt say a word to me and they just went right about their business. The cleanup was not the best as well and they left my front door wide open the whole time they were at my house letting all kind of insects in. There was some kind of grease on my nightstand and the various dirt spots on my comforter on my bed etc.....they seemed pretty rushed and I was disappointed to find out that my window blinds will no longer fit correctly now. I was never told this by the salesperson or anyone from the company. All in all, my experience was not the best and not the worst....right in the middle I would have to say.

Mike and Dan came to install 9 new windows for me in my home. The arrival window was estimated between 8am and 10am. They arrived at 8:15am. There were very efficient and polite. Cleaned up after themselves and took all materials that came from my old previous windows with them. They explained how to handle my new windows. Great job guys. Was very pleased with the whole process. From purchase, to measuring, and installation. Wonderful installers, very courteous, very professional, and knowledgeable. Friendly, and informative. I highly recommend. They even cleaned up after themselves. Had their own shop vac, and cleaners. Very impressed.

We had 4 windows replaced and the experience with UWD was smooth from start to end. Their quote was competitive and the windows that came in are great. But the most important part of it all was the installation. And Mike was awesome. His work is meticulous and has a keen eye for perfection. We did not have to do any cleaning after he left and the windows now look great.

I was excited about getting our new windows. The salesman was very nice and knowledgeable and seemed to answer all our questions. When it was time for our installation, everything changed. Joe Palermo was the installer. I have never been so uncomfortable in my own home. Every one of our window frames are scratched or scraped and too many others things wrong to even list. The job was so sloppy that someone else has to come to fix everything that is wrong. We spent so much money and did not get what we paid for. We are very unhappy with the results. I have also since been informed that this Joe Palermo should have already been fired because this is not the first job he has done that needed to be fixed. Why would you send someone or even still employ someone who does horrible work. It doesnt look good for your company. Im hoping that the person being sent takes care of all the issues. We havent heard back yet on a scheduled date.

I normally dont write reviews but I was so impressed with the quality of the windows from Universal Windows Direct that I felt compelled to do so. Pat is excellent and gave a great demonstration about windows and showed us all of the reasons why they have superior quality windows. Pat is friendly, lnowledgeable, and easy to talk to making the process easy without any pressure tactics. I highly recommend them if you want wndows to last a lifetime.

I called to get a quote on replacing a few windows on my new house. They were prompt in answering my email inquiry, and sending someone out to take measurements, but kept asking over and over if my husband would be present when they came to measure. I am not married but am engaged, I own my home independently and am a professional designer for commercial interiors projects. Upon arrival they would not talk to me, only my fiancé, even though I am the home owner and the one who called them in the first place. When I told them we would not be buying windows at the moment and were just looking at budget pricing, they would not stop calling and emailing trying to convince us to buy windows right away. While I get that is their job as a sale rep, they have been incessant to the point that I have blocked their number and email.

From sales to Installation this company was easy to work with offering a fair price for the project. I just had 15 new windows installed today and Mike and Dan did a great job. The windows look great and I actually notice a difference already just in noise reduction from outside. A huge factor for me was the great attitude and the easy ability to naturally be able to talk to our sales representative Henry. He was very knowledgeable, yet personal. A great combination. Oh and did I mention the LIFETIME TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY! Its a no brainers for me! These guys will be my first call for any future door replacement projects! Great job again from start to finish, I will be recommending to anyone looking for new windows!

The initial sales was no pressure and easy. Pricing was very competitive. Quality of windows was better than most I saw. The installer, Mike was very professional and friendly. He was efficient and clean.

We understand it is Covid and there are issues with shipping etc. but we ordered our windows in June and they were finally ready at the end of September. When we were called for installation we were only given an installation time of 1 week from the call. We explained due to a planned vacation and my husbands job, which is work from home that our best available time was past the time frame we were given on the phone. The person who called was not helpful with this and told us if we didnt schedule within that time we would lose our deposit we placed on the windows. She explained its a team of installers and would take no longer than 4 hours. So my husband took a half day at work which turned into a full day off work because only 1 person showed up to install the windows and it took him over 8 hours.From start to finish the customer service was poor, lack of communication and once we signed the paperwork we could never get in touch with our sales rep to find out the status of the order. Being told we would lose our deposit if we didnt arrange for install within the time they provided was unexpected as well.The windows are great, look fantastic and professionally done but the customer service really could improve.

The installer, Mike, was super. The windows look beautiful. Everything was easy for us. May be a little more pricey than others but the quality of the windows and of the customer service is worth every penny. Will definitely use them again.

Sales guy Brian was friendly and knowledgeable explained the widows nicely, Installer Ryan done a nice job trimming the windows out and caulking around the trim, however they left ciggy butts in my yard and and aluminum flashing slivers in my grass and oil on my cement driveway. But the windows look very nice anyway. Would I buy UWD windows again yes simply because they seem to be a quality product and have a good warranty but we would have different house rules next time for sure.

Their service and professionalism is horrible. If I could give them no stars I would. I purchased windows for my home totaling $10,200, and paid everything in full. I found out that three of them were defective. They came out measured the windows and placed an order for new sashes and window seals. This took place in March 2021 to date the windows have not been reinstalled. I have called customer service multiple times and currently they will not even except my phone calls. I believe they have blocked my number. I want functional windows that I can see out of and that I paid for properly installed.Additionally, before I knew my windows were bad I had my mom place an order for new windows and she paid them $5000 with another $5000 to be given upon completion/installation. We have since held off the installation until they rectify the problem with my windows. I am so sorry I told my mom to buy windows from Universal Windows Direct. This is a terrible company to work with and I would not recommend them to anyone!

I would just like to say that our consultation for an estimate with Karen Taylor from Window World was just wonderful... I had already sat through several different estimate presentations with other window companies, and by far Karens presentation was the most thorough and enlightening, and gave me a sense of confidence that Universals windows were going to be the best choice and the best quality product for my project. I normally do not sign the same day as any estimate consultation but at the end of Karens presentation and the estimate for the 10 windows for my home, I was saying Sign Me Up!. Cant wait for the final installation and to see my home improved with the Universal windows.

Post review: Universal window contacted us and sent out an individual to repair the gutters. Updating the review since we received some resolution to our issues.Original review:I honestly do not know where to begin. For starters my wife and I were unaware that we were dealing with a dealer, not directly with universal windows. This is where our problems began. The company we were actually dealing with had all of the universal windows branding and business cards, and even the contract was signed on universal window’s letterhead.I would caution you folks to always question your sales person for them to confirm if they are in fact universal windows or an affiliated dealer. Better yet just stay away and go with a more reputable firm.Post job completion is where our issues began. The windows have been fine, but the siding, gutters and fascia have had nothing but problems. Pieces of siding were nailed in the center which does not allow them to expand and contract, leading to them falling off during some of the recent wind storms. Those issues were repaired multiple times within the first 12 months of the install. The greatest concern is the fact that water does not flow directly into the gutters, but rather behind them, down the fascia and the side of the house. In the winter we must knock down the icicles daily so they do not grow and become a safety hazard. At one point we had 4ft long icicles hanging off the windows due to all of the water trickling down from behind the gutters.Since the install we worked directly with the dealer who we still thought was universal window, which led to multiple visits and repairs without any resolution. Last year that business went under, which prompted us to research more since universal windows customer service could not find our work orders. It wasn’t until I went to google maps and searched for the address on the original business card to discover the real name of the company. I then forwarded the contract to universal windows in hopes they would help facilitate repairs, but have only been ghosted. No response to multiple emails and being jerked around saying that I would receive a call within days, which was well over a month ago.You can gauge the integrity of a company based on the service you receive after the purchase, and this is where they have failed miserably. Had they taken the time to at least respond to any of my emails and calls or even put up a facade of wanting to help then I would not be writing this poor review. We have no faith in this company to hold their dealers accountable for their poor workmanship, since apparently they can’t even keep track of their dealers and their customers.

We had six windows installed. Installer, Mike Gartner, arrived at the beginning of the time frame given. He was well prepared for the job and his professionalism and work ethic was five star. The windows arrived as ordered with one minor issue which Mike pointed out. The bottom window frame of a double hung was manufactured with a measurement difference causing that bottom portion not being square. Mike was still able to install the window and complete the job. He advised he would contact UWD and start the process of having the issue corrected. UWD contacted me the next day saying they were aware of the issue and corrected part was already ordered. I would definitely recommend UWD and Mike.

If it was possible to give zero stars to this company I would. I signed up on their web page for a promotion to win free Windows... from there on they called my phone at least five times a day, everyday, for at least 3 weeks. This is from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., including weekends. So unless you want to be tirelessly harassed do not use this company. Unbelievable that they think this is a legitimate tactic.

Will not be doing business with this company. They are very pushy, kept trying to do late night appointments even though I said that wouldnt work for my family. Offered a $250 credit, but that is only good if I went with them.Had to cancel once, they said theyd contact me to reschedule and they actually ended up rescheduling without notifying me or getting my permission.They refused to come out without both adults in the home being there. I literally had to argue with their customer service about how if they cant come at a time convenient for me then they wont get my business. The woman was argumentative, condescending, and rude. She literally said Do you have any say in the look, function, or price of the product? If so we cant come out without you being there even when the other legal adult in my household would be home. All I wanted was someone to come out, measure, and give me a quote. I dont want anything fancy: White vinyl, no grid, double hung except two windows that need to be sliders. East peasy. A dozen other companies are willing to work with me to get my business.I would steer clear of this place if I were you.

The professionalism of this company and the quality of the products are outstanding!! Mike was our installer (he had to work by himself because he partner sprained his ankle) and he installed 11 windows by himself!! He was very quick and neat in getting the windows installed!! He worked super hard to finish the job in one day and that was great because my parents are elderly and it was cold outside!! The windows looks fantastic and have already made a huge difference in the draftiness of our house.

I requested a quote and they would not schedule me unless I gave them 1.5 hours and they have to come into my home to show me a presentation. Nobody is coming in unless theyre installing the windows during covid. All I wanted was a quote and Ive had several other companies over here and they accomplished everything without coming inside and less than 1.5 hours.

Dan and Mike installed 16 windows for us yesterday. They worked nonstop and the windows look outstanding. We highly recommend Universal Windows.

The representative who gave us the demonstration of all the qualities the windows had sold us that very day. We didnt get estimates from any other company. They even provided a discount since we were short on the cost. The installation specialists came on time and were true to the time they said it would take to install the windows. Not only the price was good but the installers were amazing. They made sure to clean up while they were working and kept everything safe from our toddler. The couple windows around the door broke when they were removing them and they were on top of making sure there was no glass anywhere. The started around 9am and were done by 3:30pm. We had 13 windows replaced and I’m so glad we chose Universal Windows Direct.

Tony, our sales rep, was professional, friendly and very knowledgable of the products. Tony worked with us to come to an agreement on a price that we were comfortable with.

The installers did a terrible job with the outside (inside was nicely done). I called the company and sent them pictures. Michael, the warehouse manager called me back and said they will fix it and scheduled a date for someone to come out. Donnie came out and said that everything on the outside will need to be ripped out and redone but it will take him more than one day, we said no problem. It was extremely cold and very high winds but Donnie started the job. He got 2 of the 5 patio sliding windows done and they looked fantastic. He came back to finish the job with another man named Paul. They worked again with extreme temperatures and high winds. The finished job was great.We had 9/10 windows installed by this company years ago and they did a wonderful job so that is the main reason we had them bought the windows again from them. The company says, it stands by their work and this proves it. They were out right away and fixed it right. I told the company that these 3 men, Michael, Donnie and Paul should get a bonus, pay raise and promotion. These 3 men went above and beyond for the company and for their customers. Most likely you are dealing with a broker company that will subcontract your project . They are grossly overpriced and are involved in high pressure selling techniques. Service was professional and done quickly

I initially thought I wanted an estimate. They called me 5-8 times a day. I told them I was not interested. I still gey calls every few hours. I also get text messages and voice-mails. I asked the 3 times to please take me off the call list. I still get calls. I blocked their number. I still get text messages and voicemails all day long. At this point I am being harassed and they will not stop. I get hung up on when I continue to ask to be removed.

Karen was amazing and took the time to explain everything to me. She was patient and understanding. As a first time home owner who has shopped around I was not disappointed with the customer service. I will be looking forward to installation. I hope its as great as she was!!Update: Jan 18I have had my windows and patio door installed. Our technician was amazing and very kind! He showed up on time and worked very quickly and efficiently and informed us right away that he may need a little more time on the following day which was a Saturday to finishe the job. Which I found very kind because he could have made us wait until the next business day. On Saturday he came on time and got done in time for us to still enjoy our full day. We have already received numerous compliments on th work and product and also can feel a difference in the temperature in our home being warmer!Thank you guys!!My husband and I have been sitting looking at our new windows for the past few days for fun lol 😆

They have great experience in window installation and were able to fabricate trims to fit around the windows in our 100-year old house that doesnt have square window frames. They kept the house clean during the installation and cleaned up after the installation was complete. Overall, we were very satisfied with them.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jay & Rods crew today 3-14-2020. I had 15 windows replaced in my house. The crew was wonderful, very efficient, polite. They had the job done in about 4.5 hrs. I cannot say enough about my experience with Universal Windows Direct. Thank you so much for a beautiful job.

Their sales model is deceptive. The inital quote is high, but they follow up with a special price promotion to get you to sign on the spot. I made it clear that I was not going to sign and wanted to get other estimates first. A few days later I got a call about special rebates that they just received from the factory. These rebates brought the price back in line with other estimates I received. In the end, I chose to go with the company that gave me the actual price up front, instead of using deceptive practices to squeeze more money out of the job.

Jeremy came out and made me a great deal on price. Jay and Rob came today and they were friendly and knowledgeable. Four hours later and I have new windows that look fantastic.

Great experience aside from the aggressive sales calling. Its.a shame they call so frequently because I think their windows and installment team are fabulous. I researched several other companies and feel that I got the best value for my money using this company. I had 4 estimates in total. Universal was not the lowest, but I liked their window construction the best.

I reached out to Universal Windows Direct as I needed a replacement window in my garage and basement. They rejected me because the project was too small and didnt meet their minimum threshold. So I called another company who was more than happy to have my business. Now Universal Windows Direct wont leave me alone, calling me every day and harassing me. Each time they call I explain this to them, but the junior flunkies on the other end of the phone dont seem to get it. Heres a tip Universal Windows Direct: when you reject a potential customer, leave them alone!!!

On Friday June 14 Mike and Dave arrived on time and went to work. They had the old windows out quickly. They then installed the 8 windows in about 6 hours. The quality of the windows and workmanship was excellent and the difference in noise and temperature was immediately noticeable. The appearance outside is great. We have other windows in the house that need upgraded and we will use Universal Windows when the time comes. Thanks again. Mike and Lynn Kinney.
