I have to say, Steel City Garage Doors was one of the best businesses that Ive dealt with in a long time. They responded to my request quickly and came out the next morning. My garage door springs broke and they assessed everything and had it repaired within hours.Really nice staff and were very detailed around the work that they did. I can already tell that my garage door is significantly improved from the work that was done. Dont even bother using anyone else.

I called Steel Citys office because my garage door opener broke and explained the situation and they sent Chris within an hour.Chris was very knowledgeable and explained what it needed to be done with options. Replaced the opener, installed new keypad and switch all in one hour. Im a very satisfied customer!

I called Steel City Garage Doors in Squirrel Hill around 3:30pm and Dan was able to come out the same day around 5:15! Ive had an extremely positive experience with these guys. They came out and installed my new garage door back in the fall. They did it in one day, despite the tricky set-up that my garage presented them. And more recently, when I was (mistakenly) worried that something had malfunctioned with the door, they came out within hours of me calling them, they inspected it, and assured me that everything was looking good. Poor communication and attitude . They came out to my dads home to fix a spring on his door and once they were done gave him a bill for twice the amount they originally said. He had to pay it since the job was finished .

We place an order for 2 new garage doors with this company, they install the new doors on the next day, the old garage door and all wrapping cleaned up on the following day, all the operation since the order to the cleanup was 100% flawless. Wow, Steel City Garage Doors came to my rescues yesterday when I couldn’t open my garage door. I was all alone and had no clue what to do. The power went out and I couldn’t use the garage door opener. I called and thanks goodness they answered right away. They arrived with 45 minutes and helped me get the door open! It wasn’t broke so they didn’t charge me anything. What a bunch of gentlemen. I wish more companies were like that!

One of our garage door springs broke around 9 PM trapping both of our cars inside the garage. I called up Steel City Garage Doors after finding them on Google and was told to expect a call back from one of their field reps ASAP. Before I could even finish dialing to move my business elsewhere, I got a call back from a rep named Charles Anderson. He told me his projected schedule and when I could expect him in my area if I still wanted his help, and even gave a follow-up call for when his ETA would be 20 more minutes to my house.This was my first time calling out for an emergency repair and I realize I could have shopped around and probably could have gotten a better price elsewhere, but Charles Anderson provided white glove service from the get-go and earned my trust and business quickly. Once he arrived, he fully and clearly explained his assessment and recommendation so that I could understand exactly what was going on before making any decisions. He wrote up a price breakdown of different items so that I could pick and choose myself. Most importantly, he gave me peace of mind in regards to the safety of our vehicles.Also, another nice perk was being able to communicate via text message when needed. I called for emergency repair services and Steel City arrived within 3 hours. The quality of work is excellent. The repair technician was outstanding. With the great job they did, I will not likely need them again for repairs but I will be using them when I upgrade my garage door.

The technicians are professional and courteous however the owner is rude, disrespectful and flat out abusive in tone. I had actually placed an order for a 2nd door for my mother’s house. In the process, I reached out to the company because they had my own door at my residence listed incorrectly as a 2 “layer door rather than the 3 layer door I had installed since there is a warrant difference. I sent pictures and documentation verifying that I had a 3 layer door. The technician called me back with the owner conferenced in. When I asked the owner if he could send me documentation reflecting the correction, he began yelling at me and told me “I don’t know what you expect a from me. You’re taking up my time and I’m busy. If you don’t want to by a 2nd door from I don’t care”. When I asked him why he was speaking to me that way he continued being rude.advised him I gave a professional reference to a REMAX and I was canceling my order and calling REMAX to share my experience.

A gigantic spring holding our garage door broke. I called Steel City to get an estimate. They had a technician call me back in less than 30 minutes! He asked where I was and came right over to my house to take a look at it. I did not expect that! Tim assessed the situation and went back to their shop to see if they had the right parts, which they did. He came back and fixed my garage the same day! I was blown away by the customer service. Not only did Tim fix my garage, he taught me how to maintain it, and fixed a couple other minor problems he and I found upon deeper inspection with no additional charges on my bill. I feel knowledgable about my garage and the opener and am highly thankful. I would absolutely hire Steel City again without hesitation.

Extremely frustrating. They never showed up for the appointment to give me an estimate on a new garage door. I scheduled 5 days in advance with Moses and was looking forward to meeting with him.I was told hed arrive at 6pm on Thursday. 6pm arrives and nobody showed up. I get a call at 7pm from someone who says he is running late and that he would call me when he is on his way.2 hours later and no call back and nobody showed up. Wasted my entire evening. Was polite and knowledgeable, he was well equipped with the parts and tools for the job. He changed my both my springs( very recommendable to change both springs instead of just the one to keep the right balance and longevity on the garage door) and he lubricant my door for free too! My garage door broke today and I barely could open it manually.I found these guys through their high ratings on Google and Yelp-and they didnt disappoint. I called in and they were able to send a tech out within an hour. The work itself took 2-3 hours,they changed: 2 new cables, 2 new springs, 2 new bearing maybe or polys and various of a small parts it all came out to be $385. They take time to explain whats wrong before and what they fix after they done.End of story -the door now functioning much better then it use to be when it was brand new... ;great job!

I am 100% satisfied with this company and here is why: I had called another garage door company to install a new garage door(no particular reason why, the other company just showed up on Google first) and the experience was a joke. The first company(Precision) refused to do the work if I didnt move my standing freezer and exercise equipment out of the garage. Steel City Garage Doors had no issues. They gave me an EXTREMELY convenient appointment from 7pm to 9pm. I work all day so this was amazing. The installer was very courteous, no problems and had the job done in about an hour. He even went as far as to program my car to the new opener. Did I mention this was $200 CHEAPER than the other(horrible) company? I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Steel City Garage Doors.

The cabel on my old garage door became unwound and the spring lost tension. I got a quote from one local company and then got a quote from Steel City that was less than half of the quote of the other company. A tech came out quickly and did the repair in 40 minutes, as he said, and charged me the quoted price. I was very pleased.
