Really fun way to spend an evening, very affordable, and friendly staff. Very chill atmosphere.
Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time at kickback. The Pins were in great condition and played well. The coffee was delicious. We wi definitely be back. This is a must stop for Pinball Fans
Best cup of coffee i’ve ever had. i went in at around 8pm half expecting to be served old luke warm coffee but my expectations were more than surpassed. i take my coffee black and the way theirs was bursting with flavor blew my mind. i’ll never be able to fully enjoy my cup of folgers again without dreaming of this brew.
Came in to warm up and remind myself that pinballing is not a skill I have. Other than that hot chocolate was decent and the games were fun. They have a selection of games from new to old, most of the older ones are upstairs. You get little tokens to play they cost a quarter each. The place is laid back and a calm chill place to be with the exception of the pinball games playing. If you dont wanna play pinball you can sit down stairs and relax or upstairs and watch traffic. Im fairly entranced by the traffic watching. Oh and did I forget to mention, its byob.
We didnt get any snacks, so I cant speak for the quality of food. But it was a nice atmosphere with a decent assortment of pinball tables.
Kris (sorry if I misspelled) was awesome. She was the only employee and she killed it. Had a great time and will definitely be back again!
We had a great experience! Great drinks, good customer service, and a fun time playing games! 10/10 recommend.
Very good service and great games and food
Super fun spot. Easily one of my favorite parts of the neighborhood when I was still living within a walkable distance. I make it a point to pop in here for a bit whenever Im back visiting Lawrenceville. You walk in, cash/card at the front counter in exchange for pinball-only tokens, and then have free reign over a large variety of pinball machines from classic, recent, and present eras. They always seem to have a lot of the latest machines on their rotation and thats always fun bc Id see new machine releases on the pinball manufacturers social media channels, think they looked pretty cool, then it would be common to see those new pins a few weeks later. Kickback is super current on pinball culture.
This place is awesome. Such a cool place to break up the monotony of real life. Just go in, re-live your childhood and play some games. I haven’t been here in a while but they used to have really good coffee, as well. One thing I do know... they have the best pinball machines around. There’s no comparison!
Fun little place in the heart of Lawerenceville! The games vary from 50 cents to a dollar. The place can get a little hot but sometimes that can just be the aggravation of getting too into the game lol. If you’re looking for something new and fun to do I’d highly recommend coming here! Perfect date night since there’s much to do with the plenty of restaurants and little shops nearby.
BEST COLD BREW IN PITTSBURGH! Other than that... Fantastic place. Employees are all nice and helpful. And pinball is the best!
Fun great coffee!
This place is awesome! 10/10 recommend for fun pittsburgh cafes! They have amazing milkshakes and tons of pinball machines to choose from, all set up with hand sanitizer and lysol!
Games are sometimes set up so hard that they are not worth playing. A symptom of being in an area where people sometimes take pinball too seriously. Place has a good mix of old and new games.
This place is AWESOME! BEST pinball machines in Pittsburgh hands down! The girls working are so nice! Yesterday was my first time there and I will for sure with no doubt in my mind be returning and with friends! I drove by this place for months every other day and never noticed it until yesterday when I stopped in and I am so glad I did! This is quite the hidden gem! They have party rates and good $1 coffee and $2 hot chocolate! If you like pinball and coffee, this is definitely the place for you!
Had an awesome time with my husband on his birthday! Great selection of pinball machines and they are set up for covid
Decent selection of pinball tables, old and new. Milkshakes and a few sandwiches available. Had a fun time taking some kids for a night of pinball. I wouldnt expect a full menu by any stretch, this isnt a restaurant after all, but the menu would benefit from a few more appetizer type dishes that could be shared.
This place is worth a try. They have large portions for fair prices. Always clean and with awesome character. Would recommend to others.
I’ll be nice and give it 2 stars since I didn’t even get to try their food or play pinball. But if you’re open regular business hours - it’s advertised on your site and on Facebook, AND the sign on the front door states “open when lit” but you’re actually closed to a birthday party, you need to find a way to inform your customers better. I’ve been dying to try this place for years, and a friend was coming out of town. We planned to eat here and have some fun with pinball. Instead, I walk the whole way in to be turned away at the counter due to a birthday party. Find a better way to inform and treat your customers.
This place slaps
Always a good time playing pinball
This is a great pinballparlor. The games are kept up. They have a wide variety of old and new machines which are changed up periodically to keep it fresh. Its a great place to spend a few hours. Also, their food and drinks are delicious with friendly staff to make your experience all that much better
Staff was nice. Food seemed a little expensive. I didnt try it. They had lots of machines there. Some were new and some were old school. Dont forget the second floor when you go. It wasnt super clear there were more machines up there. They were all working and seemed well kept up. We had a wonderful time. Will absolutely go back.
This place is a blast and it is decorated nicely with interesting murals by a talented artist. The food is good too!
A Great, cosy place. Everyone there was very happy to explain things. I got there during a tournament and all I got was passion and all of the excitement people have for things they are passionate about.
Well priced pinball machines on the second floor. There is a change machine up there. K havent had a drink yet but people seem to be content with their beverages.
Good espresso drinks featuring Zekes Coffee. Extensive sandwich menu that changes occasionally. They have vegan and vegetarian friendly options. I think coffee, munchies and pinball are a great combination. There are about 20 really fun pinball machines here. This cafe is not necessarily a quiet place to study, but has a fun electric atmosphere.
Nice place. Some small variety of machines. Some old some new. Worth a 30 minute visit
My friends and I had a lot of fun playing pinball last night. Though I have been here before, I think the newer owners have really made it better. There are a bunch of cool pinball machines and even a Super Off-Road arcade machine. I plan to visit much more often now.
Love this place, always a great place to go somewhere with somebody. It has old pinball machines you can play on the second floor and has the feel of an old fashioned diner on the second. Good coffee and great sandwiches all at a decent price!
Kickback is pretty cool and good for when youre looking to kill an hour or two. The selection is kind of limited, but they change the games from time to time to keep it fresh.
Nice little spot. Quite nostalgic and fun pinball. Costs about what youd expect and really is pretty fun with a good group of friends
A gift to the community. With state and city regulations it is actually very difficult (expensive) to operate an Arcade in Pittsburgh. Kick back not only offers the rare opportunity to play well maintained pinball machines, but they also offer a great cafe with friendly staff and a comfortable vibe for meeting strangers and hanging out. Take a step in when the sign is lit and enjoy the Art of Kickbacks pinball cafe.
Excellent grilled cheese sandwiches. Milkshakes are tasty. Great game selection. Also leagues. Good place for a second date.
Super cool pinball oriented cafe with pinball games ranging from vintage to modern. Throw in some Chexx dome hockey, coffee shop and deli food and we got a winner. I stop in sometimes between meetings and such as a break and pinball meditation.
My wife and I went with our daughter (12) and we loved it. Their food and service is great, and the collection of new and older pinball machines was a lot of fun. We were initially looking for a place to kill time waiting to get into a restaurant and enjoyed this as much if not more than dinner.
Pinball is great n all but this place didnt reach any type of legendary status for me until I had some of the hot sandwiches, like the Tony Pepperoni or Swiss Pig. BYOB doesnt hurt either.
Arcades are hard to find, pinball arcades are even harder. This place has a nice mix of new and vintage machines. Lots of fun!
Great atmosphere. Good selection of boards. Reasonable prices.
Ive come here for years for the pinball, but now its really improving as a cafe - both the sandwiches and the speed of service are better than last year. Machines are in good condition, too. Fun family place to get lunch and spend time.
It was a great setup with a lot of space to move. Looking forward to going back again for some coffee and games with friends.
Amazing atmosphere, good food, and decent espresso. Playing the games can get pricey fast but you’re paying for throwback environment and vibes which is hard to find elsewhere.
Service could have been faster, but you cant beat the games and the atmosphere. Tons of fun. Food was fine. Coffee was good.
An amazing selection of the latest pinball machines, in terrific condition, with fast and friendly service and delicious coffee 👍
A unique experience in Pittsburgh. Great games with lots of selection. A really fun vibe. And, good food and drinks. Their beef and blue cheese melty thingy is delicious!
Seriously love this place. It became an instant favorite. Byob. And tons of different pinball machines to play, new and old styles. Awesome.
You enjoy Pinball?Come here.By yourselfOn a dateWhat a retro way to spend the day~
Fun games, decent coffee. The staff isn’t super enthusiastic. It’s worth checking out once or twice.
Many pinball machines, $0.5 to $1 per round. Fun atmosphere
I come here alot-I came when they first opened, and it is quite nice. There are many Pinball machines ranging in age from the 70s to 2015. Ive had their Mediterranean Sandwich, and boy was it good! I recommend going here for sure.
Staff is nice. Most games are .75-1.00. great variety of new and old machines. Rootbeer floats are awesome!
Really cool place filled with all kinds of pinball machines, old and new. BYOB is cool, expect an uncorking fee. Wasnt too crowded the one time I went
I love Kickback. Awesome time--good family fun. The pinball is amazing; The staff keeps the machines in fine working order. There are events for silverballers who play competitively, and plenty of space and patience for people like me who have all they can do just to keep the ball in play. Its BYOB, for those who want to take their pinball experience to an exciting new level. You need not even like pinball... Stop in for lunch. The paninis are fantastic. They serve a great cup of coffee, as well.
Love the variety of games
Small, about 25 machines. All were in good working order, clean, and good space.
Cool but expensive. The place in West view is the spot to be. Tons more machines and way cheaper.
Pretty disappointed. We expected to come in and play some pinball, maybe grab a coffee, have some fun. We only played a little pinball and then left.Half of the machines were broken and didnt accept quarters (or simply ate them). There was a group of mid-twenties people (one behind the counter) just drinking booze. We did not try any of the menu items, so I cant make a comment on that. But to be advertised as a Pinball Cafe and have the pinball machines not work... seems kinda crappy.
Well the girl working, was not only ROOD,,, She didnt tell me my food was ready! So my grill cheese was worm at best. It WAS only my second time there, the first time was yesterday. Not the person I want working in my Business. JD
Id sleep there if theyd let me. What more in life do you need besides pinball, great food, great people and a clean restroom? Seriously, if you havent been, youre a jagoff and who wants that reputation?
A fun little spot if you enjoy pinball or just want a unique place to enjoy a coffee.
Very fun! Loved the Aerosmith machine and BYOB makes it even better! Great way to spend an evening in Lawrenceville.
BYOB and pinball, what else do you need? Great place for a birthday party or just to play some great pins, old and new!
Two of the tables I wanted to play the most - The Machine and The Adams Family - were full of quarters and nobody on staff could empty the machines. That was disappointing, but I did enjoy the Twilight Zone and some other tables. Could be better if all working machines were capable of being played.
I loved it here, staff was really nice, the vibe was chill. They had a great balance of various pinball machines.
Awesome, simple pincoffee shop. Machines are in very good condition and coffee is good too.
Had a great grilled cheese, The Hipster, and played a great collection of well maintained pinball machines. They even opened up the Monday after Pinburgh so those who were waiting on flights had a palce to hang. Great place!
Good venue. Games are definitely on pricey side for older titles.
Favorite hangout in Pittsburgh. Super nice staff.
Coffee is cheap and terrible. Guy who served me laughed at me when I pronounced name of coffee wrong.
Had fun playing some pinball games while waiting for our delicious sandwiches. Definitely worth stopping in for a quick tasty fun lunch.
Coffee is pretty good. Pinball machines are awesome. It will take you a minute to download the app, but its worth it.
Would be an ok little joint, but over half of the better playable tables were down when we visited. And theres not a ton to begin with.
I love this place, the only reason I didnt give it all stars is usually a couple of the machines are down but there are still plenty
Pinball is awesome. Prices are reasonable if you download the app that connects to many of the machines. Surprisingly, their panini sandwiches are actually *really* good. I would come here just for food. The side they give is just a regular bag of chips, which is disappointing, but the paninis and pinball are each worth the trip.
My favorite coffee, Ive stopped every morning on my way to work for the past year and have never had a bad experience. The food is great as well, without a doubt the best grilled cheese sandwich in Pittsburgh.
This is a fun little place with great coffee, sandwiches, and snacks.
Venue has a range of pinball machines featuring different styles of play (video-pinball hybrids as well as more classic machines.)The second floor doesnt appear to be wheelchair accessible, but I didnt ask to confirm.
Ive been going here ever since it opened and Im never gonna get tired of it. Everyone that works here is nice, the murals are awesome, the food is also awesome, and the choice of pinball machines is great (theyve got old ones and new ones!)
Cute Place! Needs a few more tables and more variety of menu.
Stop in for some pinball, coffee, and food! Always a good time! Over a dozen unique games! And always a few classics.
A really unique and fun place to visit, especially for a date. Employees are always super kind and helpful.
New and old machines in great shape
Very good coffee, friendly service and pinball to boot! Very fun.
Old school pinball arcade, solid coffee/espresso, great paninis (w/vegetarian option), cool retro futuristic spacey interior design; fun vibe overall.
A must go for anyone whos ever enjoyed or still enjoys pinball! Good selection of food as well.
Awesome place! Great cafe and lattes + pinball!!
Great fun, pinball, coffee, BYOB...how can you go wrong?
